OK. So, they made it up to us with room upgrades and candy for the remainder nights. Bottom line is that they had to make a decision between inconveniencing us and inconveniencing another group and we lost. Still, not a pleasant experience. It's a tough business. Besides the bumpy customer service experience, this is a run-of-the-mill Marriott. It's good enough for quick business travel. The staff, however, is very attentive. The restaurant is better than average without being great.

It was very nice and clean, but the pillows were extremely uncomfortable and small. We booked at a AAA rate that included breakfast but since they had just started this promotion there was a lot of back-and-forth with the guy at the front desk to get it figured out. After all that they still charged us for breakfast and it was a pain to get it off the bill.

If you are gold or platinum elite, or just staying on the concierge level this Marriott is for you! The front desk was ready for me upon check-in on Monday with my card so I was there for all of 10 seconds. The concierge lounge also was far above average with full dinner fare beyond the normal assorted vegetables and tiramisu for dessert, far above the normal cookie plate. The real golden opportunity came tonight when the general manager held an elite appreciation reception featuring free top-shelf cocktails and high-end dinner fare. They even used fresh items from their hydroponic and greenhouse gardens! As a platinum member traveling all over the United States I must say how impressed I was with this Marriott over many others I have stayed at. I will certainly be staying here for now on!

It was the middle of January and it was freezing cold! Good thing i booked this marriott next to my company's corporate office so i didnt have to travel far. I was impressed by how fancy it looked and i've stayed in a lot of marriotts to know that this was an upgrade. when you walk in, the door opens to lounges and a bar full of business travelers. the hotel was serving free coffee and warn cookies- probably cause it was under 10 degrees outside! the front desk folks were easy to communicate with- asked for a room near the elevator and i got it. asked them for directions to targer.. i got that too.. i used their hot dry sauna- good thing there was no one there... they have an indoor pool too but it was pretty dead. anyhow- this marriott was nearly resort like- everything you need is there, i definitely would book this place again.

I have always loved the Marriott for years because of its wonderful comfy beds with white duvets and lots of pillows but this time was different. My husband and I ordered room service, eggs Benedict with eggs well done but they came out pretty much raw so we sent them back. When they returned with a fresh order there was no silver wear so once again we had to call down to get some. At this point we were pretty annoyed to be spending $40 on a cold breakfast. So I decided to go for a walk, I tripped and fell on their uneven sidewalk, ended up bruising my knees and splitting open both my hands, I walked into the lobby to ask if they had any rubbing alcohol and some band aids instead of just giving that to me she got out a card to write down what happened. Yes I understand they don't want a law suit but really, I have blood running down my hands on to the floor you'd think that would more of a priority. Extremely upset with service and staff!

Here on business. Phenomenal hotel and restaurant. Great food, great social area and would definitely stay again! Don't stay anywhere else!

Don't judge a book by the cover. Looks great from the outside and lobby, but has issues. On my current stay; slow internet speed, drinking glasses in the room filled with sediment, the in room cofee maker produced a cup that had a level on slime on the cup of cofffee. Stuck here at a meeting; but not coming back

I came here for a religious experience. I was to be baptized with my girlfriend Arizonia. The stay was great, the staff really made us comfortable. We went with our church group to the lake, in the summer time, other wise it is too damn cold! But we were able to purify ourselves in the waters of Lake Minnetonka the spend the rest of our day riding around on purple motorcycles. We had a damn fine time.

There was a large dog showing event here this week (Sept 28-Oct 2). There are hundreds of dogs staying in the hotel. Though they have been mopping the lobby a lot, the carpets in the lobby are full of dog hair. The elevators now smell like cleaning solution and dog. Normally Marriotts charge a $75 - $200 non-refundable cleaning fee but this week they are charging a $200 REFUNDABLE fee. That tells me that unless the dogs stain the floor or furniture, no special cleaning will be performed to make the rooms usable for alergy sufferers or tolerable for guests who prefer not bask in the smell and hair/dander of previous guests. I have not noticed unusual amounts of poo on the grass so it seems that the guests themselves have been respectful. I wonder how much the hotel is going to invest in cleaning up after the canine guests on the inside of the hotel... especially if they are refunding the deposits. I don't mean to accuse the Marriott SW - they may very well wash and scrub all room and hallway carpets, furniture upholstery and bedding but I thought this post might be a good heads-up to those who stay here frequently.

The bar is great but don't order the Justin Timberlake cocktail. And also, I know they are remodeling, but my bathtub had sand all over it. Gross!

It was...meh. Yeah, just meh. I had the opportunity to attend some training in one of the nearby office buildings, and was able to score a corporate-approved rate. Yay me! Getting there is mostly easy until the very end, when you enter the Unofficial Eden Prairie Watkins Glen Road Race, as this hotel is located somewhere in the middle of a series of one way roads that snake around the buildings of an office type park. And let me tell you, Mario Andretti and Junior would be nervous to drive these roads as there are 10,000,000 commuters in Hondas and Pathfinders zipping around this 'course'. If you don't know where you're going, good luck, because it flies past you quick as you struggle to not get hit or run over by passing cars. After more than one go-around I finally escaped the track and entered the hotel parking area. Whew! The hotel itself is a typical Marriott. Staff were to a person very friendly and helpful. The place was, however, underwhelming. A few things: 1. Had to call for housekeeping as the sheets were clearly not clean (ew!). 2. Food at Stacy's Grille was, at best, meh. Hamburger unevenly over-seasoned - meaning one bite bland, the other bite Yep That's A Lot Of Mrs. Dash! 3. I despise having to go to the front desk to have something printed in color. We have sensitive documents I don't want to have to e-mail to a random staff person so she can go print them in the office. C'mon, for $200 a night you can spring for a color printer in your 'business center'. 4. Lastly, why is it that the more expensive the room rate, the less that is included? Bottles of water - $2.50. No continental breakfast or anything like that. Pay for internet. Seriously, it's like a weird hotel paradox - the cheaper the place, the more included. I'd stay there because it is convenient (though, sadly, despite the fact that the building I was going to was .04 miles away, I could not walk there thanks to the Speedway course), and because once I got the hang of the Watkins Course, I enjoyed feeling like a race car driver for a minute or two.

Basic, semi-dated but clean and comfortable hotel. Functional rooms with decent amenities. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We couldn't believe that they were charging for internet usage in this day and age, but whatever, we were visiting family so it wasn't a big deal to us. I don't know how hotel pricing in the area generally goes, but I felt like we got a great deal compared to similar hotels in other cities.

This is a relatively standard Marriott property. The lobby is nicely furnished, looks relatively new. The rooms are nice enough, with the amenities you expect at a Marriott. The carpet on the concierge floors was plush, which made it a bit more difficult to roll suitcases, but kept footfalls and hallway disruptions to a minimum. The concierge lounge is well appointed. The cocktail hour included substantial menu items; for example, one night they served roast beef, roasted potatoes and vegetables, meaning I was able to make a small meal from the available options. Breakfast always included eggs and steel-cut oatmeal (standard at most hotels), as well as a nice assortment of cut and whole fruit. The fact that I was always able to get a banana was impressive, since those are the first to disappear from most concierge lounges I have frequented. The gym had 5 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, a small free weights area and a cable weight machine. All of the cardio equipment included individual screens, and the equipment was all new, touchscreen style, as opposed to the older button based equipment that some hotels continue to maintain. Overall, nice hotel. I would stay here again, despite it not being convenient to many restaurants or entertainment options.

horrible service. Purchased a hotel package from them in advance and made a booking. 2 days before I fly into town I find out they no longer have that same special and cannot honor it, I call district management to see if anything can be done. rather than working something out they just cancel my reservation the night before I come in and email saying they will no longer be accommodating me.

Bar and food are great. Sheets are soft as tissue. Achoo. Staff is super friendly. Flat screen tv doesn't have Housewives of Beverly Hills.

I have stayed here a couple of times now on business. Not sure how much blame, if any, I should place on the hotel but there is little to nothing to do in the area. Most of the hotel's occupants are here on business and the area lacks any outdoor activities like restaurants, shops, etc. The beds in the rooms are some of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a hotel, will make for getting up in the morning very difficult. The lobby is very nice with TV's in a lot of areas, restaurant, bar, among other amenities. I have yet to run into a rude staff member, everyone is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are little on the old side they; I've had minor issues on both of my stays. The room service can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes so plan accordingly when ordering food. Speaking of the food, it can be a bit of a hit and miss. On some occasions I've received horrible salty wings or over fired fish but on other occasions I've had an ok experience with the food. Like I mention before not to many options in the area so your kind of stuck.

Your room provides you with a bathrobe. I woke up, was in a pair of boxers, and decided to FaceTime call my wife and son back home in Seattle. So while doing so I walked downstairs in the bathrobe. I sat out front covered all of the way and went their to not disturb anyone else I was traveling who was still sleeping. While in the middle of a conversation I was approached by a hotel worker, who was told by a bellman that I was not dressed appropriately. So this worker came out side and asked if I could go someplace else because that I was not dressed appropriately. I was shocked, belittled and embarrassed at this. I have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world, and have never been told something like this. I could have been in swim trunks for all they knew! Because I was in a bathrobe I was honestly treated like a homeless person, a menace to society and not as a guest. I was not hurting anyone, exposed in anyway or doing anything that would have depicted otherwise. So I got dressed and went back down stairs. Spoke with the general manager and their reasoning for it is that the robe, which they provide, made an elderly couple who were leaving uncomfortable... Seriously!?? I purchased 2 rooms here and am still a guest. I told the general manager how insulted I was by the way they addressed it and that I was insulted by the reasoning behind it. She offered no compensation for her staff belittling a guest. This hotel is a joke. Rooms are not cleaned well after guests have stayed here, the electrical outlets blow from just a phone plugging into them. The staff is far too entitled for being glorified McDonald's employees. It's a Marriott, not the 4 seasons. And if it was, I have never been treated like this there. If your room is dirty at a 4 seasons, they compensate your stay. This place? For being no better than sleeping at a McDonald's, I didn't even get offered a happy meal toy let alone anything besides "I'm sorry".

I never stay at Marriott hotels - and now I know why. If this is their standard of excellence, I'd rather stay at a Super 8. Staying here for a wedding. Checked in Friday evening. Saturday morning, I noticed my bathroom floor was filthy. Presumably pubic hairs and what is probably pee next to the toilet. Called down to front desk to let them know and asked it to be cleaned. Returned to my room many hours later - to a made bed and new towels - and the floor was still disgusting. On top of that, my bed had a hair on it that is not mine. Called down again and asked for it to be cleaned. Left and returned again over an hour later and it was still there. At this point, when I called the front desk, they didn't answer - they can see which room is calling. I had to go downstairs to speak to a manager, who assured me that he was sending someone to clean it. I've been in my room for about 20 minutes now and there hasn't been a knock on my door yet.

Ahhhhhhh slowest elevators ever! 10pm at night, 4pm afternoon - doesn't matter what time of day. And morning?!?? FORGET ABOUT IT. Better take stairs. Side note; front desk super nice and most other things decent for marriott. Elevators just too much I can't help myself with this one. Every visit here I've been so frustrated with them!

I stayed at this Marriott when I had to travel here for work. It's your basic business hotel. It has everything you need, but it's definitely not one of the nicer Marriott's I've stayed in. It's on the older side and the beds/pillows weren't as comfortable as I would have liked. I will say this, all the staff here I encountered were incredibly friendly and accommodating - definitely top notch. I ordered room service one of the nights and the food came out quick and was reasonably priced (for room service). It was quite tasty too!

This is an OK Marriott. 3 stars for location. This hotel is not near anything, really. Not a lot of restaurants, shopping, or anything else nearby except for businesses. So, if you need to work at United Heatlhcare or something, this is the perfect location for you. 3 stars for the rooms. They are clean, but need updating. The hotel. outside of the main floor, needs renovation. Its starting to get that old grandma's house smell. 4 stars for service. Front desk staff was pleasant. Concierge lounge staff was super friendly (the food was so so). 4 stars for the breakfast buffet. They do have a shuttle, which is great because a cab ride would be pricey. This hotel would do in a pinch, but I don't think I would stay here again based on all of the options in the Minneapolis area. This was the hotel for the wedding we attended, so it did the trick.

This is a fine Marriott. It's warm in 17 degree below zero weather, and has a covered parking lot - although it's not accessible directly from the hotel (so be careful of the ice on your walk there!). Room service is ~30-45min wait, but decent food. Friendly concierge lounge staff. Seemed clean. A-OK.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 months (was managing a project in the area). I checked in every Sunday night and checked out every Thursday morning during my entire stay. The only fault I was able to find with this hotel was the TV (not a flat screen like a lot of hotels now have). As stated by other Yelpers, the rooms were very comfortable. The beds made it very difficult to actually want to get up and go to work every morning! The Concierge Lounge ( for Marriott Platinum members only) had a very nice breakfast spread every morning. I don't eat meat for breakfast so I don't know what, if any, meats were provided. What I did enjoy was the abundance of fresh fruits (pineapples, melons, strawberries, grapes, etc.), oatmeal, baked goods, beverages (water, soda, OJ, coffee, tea) that was provided. In addition to the breakfast spread, the Concierge Lounge also had a great early evening buffet. The Front Desk personnel was incredibly nice and helpful. I was greeted by name upon arrival every week. The restaurant staff went out of their way to prepare my meals to my specifications without ever making it seem like a burden. The gym was great too. I usually work out in the evening so I did not have to wait to use the equipment. There were a total of 3 treadmills (each having a TV screen), 2 bikes, 2 ellipticals, 3 balls, and plenty of free weights. The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub but I did not use them. Like I said, the only issue with the hotel was the TV. Aside from that, the hotel and its wonderful staff made my 4 months in Minnetonka very pleasant.

This has become our home away from home in the Minneapolis suburbs. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the weekend prices are fantastic, the rooms are a bit dated but always spotlessly clean, the beds are super comfortable and most importantly: it is QUIET. My favorite part of this hotel is the warm pool with a box of pool toys. I would not recommend the breakfast buffet unless it is included with your room. If included, then it is totally worthwhile.

Recently attended an all day conference here and really enjoyed myself. The breakfast coffee and pastries were fresh and hot (the coffee anyway ;) and the buffet was kept spotless. The chairs were comfy (perfect for long lectures) and the lunch was delicious. I ordered the steak salad with onion rings on top and was surprised that the steak was perfectly cooked...not an easy task when cooking for 250 people. Others had the chicken...which also looked yummy. I can't wait for the same conference again next year!
