I searched "Pho" and sorted by distance and yelp led me to here. After being seated, pho was not found on the menu. We were a little disappointed but decided to forge on. Then the egg rolls we ordered arrived. An order includes two, on the larger side, rolls. My best description is perfectly crispy, meaty filled and absolutely delicious! At this point, we forgot about the quest for Pho. We also had the hot and spicy chicken and butterfly shrimp and they were good but nothing to write home about. 4 stars instead of 3 mainly because I will return for those egg rolls.

    1. The name is very misleading because this is not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. There's nothing on their menu that screams Vietnamese. It's more of a Chinese-American restaurant. Lo mein, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken/pork, fried rice, etc. Granted, the workers are the only Vietnamese thing about this place. 2. This place can be very deceiving, it looks like a run down place on the outside but the inside is actually quite cute. It's got a modern touch with some chalkboard additions. There's Vietnamese art pieces around the restaurant but that doesn't really compensate for their Chinese American menu. 3. Service here is confusing, it is not a first come first serve place. People who came in 10 minutes after we ordered got their water and food before us? ??they were seated with drinks right away when we were there for a good ten minutes before them, on top of that, we already ordered and still didn't get water. I was a little baffled when they got their food and check before us too. Especially considering no one else was there. It's hard to miss when you were the only table other than the new table that just walked in. 4. We ordered the chicken wings, which turned out to be delicious garlic oyster wings. The sauce was actually very good. These were different because usually at other places, they're crispy, battered, and sauced. Here, they're sauced. No crisp but it was still very good. -We ended up getting the chicken chow mein and the beef and vegetables. Now, when we ordered or server asked if we wanted mushroom with the chicken chow mein, we said yes. --When the food came out, they were made with the same exact vegetables and sauce for both dishes. The chicken chow mein was basically the same dish, but with chicken and the chow mein crackers. Not to mention there was one piece of sliced mushroom. That is not chow mein. ---the sauce was also very liquidy and bland. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food.

Seriously, egg rolls that make you cry! They are friggen fantastic, fried to perfection with a light crust packed with meat, wow! I had them for lunch and it was more then enough for me but not knowing I also ordered beef on rice noodle. I was a little shocked these both came from the same kitchen. The beef w rice noodle was pretty bland and too many noodles, but it was ok. I will definitely be back for egg rolls and skip everything else.

Unlike most midwesterners I refuse to judge any "asian" restaurant on their egg-rolls alone . Yes, Que Viet has good pork stuffed deep fried giant egg rolls, hence the two stars instead of one. Moving on, the entrees were inedible. Possible some of the blandest food I have ever tried to eat. Not a touch of seasoning. Not peppers, coriander, lemongrass, cilantro, shallots. Nothing. On what planet is this Vietnamese food? I'd get more spice and flavor at my 90 year old Norwegian grandmas! The staff was nice at least.

The best Egg Rolls you will ever eat. They are amazing! I sometimes get 20 to go for small gatherings at my house. Everything else on the menu is forgetable, but you have to go here for the Egg Rolls.

  • Steve S.

Que Viet is convenient, but not a place to go out of your way for. The egg rolls are indeed good, but they're also really greasy. There's better food not far away, and certainly better vietnamese food.

  • Nicholas J.

Egg rolls... everything else seemed average. The potatoes with beef was good and interesting.

  • Breanne K.

Que Viet is one of the only restaurants in the desert neighborhood of Windom Park. It's got convenience for Nordeasters, but not enough excellence to warrant a long commute for others. Like many others have said, the hot and spicy chicken, or mock duck or whatever else floats your boat, is very good. I'd definitely recommend it as a take out option for a movie on the couch night. I'll definitely pass on the egg rolls though. They are obscenely greasy. Even the meat inside is greasy. Maybe others can handle this, but I most definitely can't!

I'm not saying it wasn't good, but this isn't a Vietnamese restaurant. I felt like the name was misleading. There is nothing Vietnamese on the menu except for the iced coffee. And don't get me wrong, it was excellent. Since I have returned from my trip to Saigon it is the closest replica to any Vietnamese style iced coffee that I experienced there. I would have given this place 2 stars, but the amazing coffee totally satisfied my craving and bumped it up to 3. 2 and a half if Yelp let us give half stars. The egg rolls were OK. They had a decent flavor and were crispy, but they were also more greasy than I am accustomed to. The flavor was nothing spectacular at all.. I would get them if I was in the area, but I would not go out of my way for them. I honestly can not see why people rave about them. The cheese puffs were very unique. I haven't had anything like them anywhere else. Good flavor, but the way they were folded made them hard to eat... bites of only wonton, followed bites of too much filling.... and no sweet and sour sauce on the side? I prefer wontons that are more of a purse shape. That allows for more even distribution of filling to wrapper. The "special" fried rice was below average. It was lacking in flavor. Very bland. needed more seasoning.... salt..... spice.... something. very boring. I could have made it at home with very little effort. Maybe I'm just unsatisfied because I went here craving authentic Vietnamese food? Probably not. It's more likely that people have pretty low standards, and wouldn't know the difference between Chinese and Vietnamese food if it slapped them in the face.

Overall great food. I've loved their egg rolls since I first had them nearly 30 years ago. Great lo mein, spicy chicken is great and fried rice as well. I give 4 stars only because I wish they served Pho and Pad Thai. My opinion those two dishes would round off their menu out.

How the hell you gonna advertise yourself as a Vietnamese restaurant and not have Pho on the menu? I've passed this place so many times and have heard ok things about this place to one cold winter day after a long day of classes and work I decided to stop in and treat myself to dinner. A nice hot bowl of Pho couldn't sound any better. I looked on the menu and noticed that there wasn't any Pho! I had to do a double check and make sure that I was in a Vietnamese restaurant, and yep I am, it says Viet right there in the name. I asked the waitress if maybe that was an off the menu item because in my experience some Asian restaurants have Pho broth cooking in the back but don't have it on the menu. You just have to know that and ask. Well she was extremely offended by this and snapped at me. NO! 1 star for advertising yourself as a Vietnamese restaurant and not having a signature Viet dish on your menu.

I went here per a recommendation from my nail gal in NE Mpls. She said it was probably the best in the area. I'm sure she's right, but I cannot confidently confirm that yet. My friend and I ordered take out and it was pretty prompt. We ordered: egg rolls cream cheese puffs veggie chow mien I'm sad to say I am not overwhelmed by what we got. I did not try the egg rolls as I'm a vegetarian but my friend rated them a 3.5 out of 5. They looked like they were drenched in grease but I guess the flavor was there. The cream cheese puffs were very crunchy but nothing too special and the chow mien was underwhelming. Very flavorless and needed soy sauce and hot sauce added. I will return to give this place another try but not anytime soon. The vegetarian options are limited and if you're vegan, forget it.

All I have to say... Egg Rolls! The rest is good, but they have the best egg rolls in town. Hands down.

I heard about Que Viet from a friend who had eaten there before. She said it was really great food and I couldn't agree more. Although it is a little out of the way from the typical Minneapolis hubs, it's worth the detour. The bf and I shared shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein, and egg rolls. I don't eat red meat so I didn't partake in the egg rolls but he said they were phenomenal and really crispy. The portions were huge - YAY Chinese - so we both had leftovers for work the next day. The decor wasn't anything special but at least the prices weren't sky-high like some over-the-top-ambiance restaurants (cough Rainforest Cafe). I can't remember for sure but I think for four dishes and egg rolls we paid $42 including tip. I still love Shuang Cheng but I'll definitely return to Que Viet.

Que Viet Village. This place is delicious! First off, I didn't know what to expect when I ordered their egg rolls. They are huge, crispy, perfectly greasy, spicy and the pork in them is very good. I love the sauce they serve with the egg rolls. I got a dinner portion of Special Lo-Mein, which was huge - I could not finish it up in 3 days. So there it sat in my fridge on Day 3 and sadly had to be thrown out. The asparagus and crab soup was just ok - not fantastic. I love asparagus, so it was slightly disappointing. The service was excellent and everyone was very polite. My favorite thing to do is eat my Chinese / Vietnamese leftovers whilst sitting on the couch watching Sex and the City re-runs on TV. It's my thing. I am getting myself an order of their Cheese Puffs and their Hot and Spicy Chicken the next time I order take-out. I am sure that it's going to be especially delicious!

Hungry for some Chinese food? Then "Que Viet" is a place you need to try. I don't usually frequent this area but was with my daughter and we stopped in for lunch. Based on all the recommendations we HAD to order the "egg rolls". Don't leave this place with out trying them because they REALLY are good. Nice and crispy and fried to perfection. Also ordered the fried rice and chicken chow mein. I had envisioned chow mein the way my mom used to make it with a thicker sauce. This version was lighter and was served with a sweeter sauce and had lots of fresh vegetables in it. Proportions are large as we had quite a few leftovers to take home. Prices were very reasonable. The service was very attentive but need to warn you that the food comes out just a short time after you order. So if you want lunch to last a little longer hold off on ordering until you've finished the egg rolls! I will certainly go back when I happen to be in the area. If I lived a little closer know that I would soon become a regular.

So my husband and I recently moved from an apartment in the Loring Park/Downtown area to a house in North East. We knew we'd be missing out on some of our favorite restaurants in the move, including the beloved Lotus to Go Go, so imagine my delight when I notice this Que Viet place is just down the street from us. Unfortunately it did not live up to my elevated Lotus expectations. This restaurant trys pretty hard to be a "nice" restaurant: piped in oriental-style musak, paper placemats describing the chinese zodiac, moderately silly artwork on the walls. It all sort of falls flat though; it's pretty lame. It's a bit dingy at this point but instead of embracing that the folks at Que Viet have attempted to cover it up with rolled silverware and more velvet paintings on the walls. But that doesn't really matter, right? So what about the food? I ordered the hot and spicy mock duck and my husband ordered the shrimp noodles. Amazingly, they tasted exactly the same! My dish had no heat and was quite boring. His was edible yet unremarkable. Service was poor. Although I'm not swearing the place off altogether, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Try the "meat and potatoes" seriously. It sounds so ordinary, but it isn't. The potatoes are sliced uber-thin then deep fried. So they are more like potato chips. Then beef is sliced thin, cooked, and tossed with the potatoes in a sort of light sweet sauce with onions. It's amazing and has me coming back over and over.

I went out on a limb and ordered the dinner for 2 for $25.00. It saved some decision making for us. This includes the eggrolls. They reminded me of what Willowgate's used to be like. Huge and loaded. Then a generous, around 8 ounces of crab soup. Delicious, loaded with chicken, shredded crab, and a really delicate broth. I knew it would get me full, but with a cold, it's just what the doc ordered. The entree is chicken and mushrooms, not many, and an ok sauce. The real treat is the sweet and sour pork. Considering this sauce is super thick, everything is crunchy when it comes out, but swimming in this sauce, which is fantastic, you might only want to have it to eat in. This place isn't much to look at, but extremely clean. The bathroom is handy, and has a nice tall toilet. A very peaceful place. I'm glad my 500th review is a place I love.

Hands down, the best egg rolls ever! Also try the meat and potatoes. These are awesomely tasty! We take out from here about once every couple months or so. I'm glad it's not closer or we'd eat here more. Great, now I have another craving...

Here's the thing: you go into a visit to Que Viet as if you were going to eat at the fair. That egg roll is going to be the most delicious, tongue burning, awesomely bad for you grease fest you've had all year. And you're going to think it's great. But you wouldn't dare show up expecting a nice spinach salad with the perfect amount of dressing. That would be like going to the beach and expecting to get some ice skating in. Just silly.

I went around lunchtime and they were relatively busy. The lady at the counter was yelling something to people in the back. It was straight out of a old kung-fu movie. Despite the amount of people that were there, I was seated right away at my own little one chair table. I ordered the infamous egg roles and chicken chow mein. The egg roles were out within five minutes and the chow mein came before I could even start on the second roll. The egg rolls were as good as everyone has claimed. Heavy on the meat and very greasy. Nice crunchy wrapper. They come with a sweet vinegar dipping sauce too. Check out the pic I snapped. The chicken chow mein was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting much since most of the reviews I read said the food wasn't that great with the exception of the egg rolls. The veggies were perfectly done, the chicken was just right and the sweet sauce was unlike any I have ever had. The rice was average at best. Snapped a pic of this too. This will be my only visit since I didn't see anything that begged me to come back again, but definitely worth the visit. There was a large group of people in the back that were all seated together, so I'm assuming you can call ahead for a large group.

This place is exactly what I wanted from a Chinese restaurant! Great food, phenomenal egg rolls (some of the best I've ever had), and truly wonderful service.

  • Kate B.

Based of Yelp reviews, my friend and I got the egg rolls and omg, they are amaaaazing. Your order comes with two large egg rolls, packed full of meat. And the wonton wrapper is thin and crispy, not like many places where it takes more work to eat the wrapper than the actual egg roll. Also tried Chicken Mushroom Chow Mein and Beef Lo Mein. The Chow Mein is packed with fresh veggies and chicken so tender it fell off my fork. The Low Mein comes with sliced beef instead of cubed (which I personally enjoy), fresh veggies and thin noodles. Oftentimes Lo Mein can get really salty with an overpowering sauce. Not the case here. I also got a Vietnamese Ice Coffee. Forget about Caribou when you need a jolt of caffeine. Just grab a cup to go here! Most entrees cost $10 or less. Egg rolls were $4.25, coffee was $3.25. Our bill came to $28 and we had plenty of leftovers, even after several helpings each.

Dont let the word Vietnamese fool you...this isnt Vietnamese at all. We had horrible experience from this place. We ordered off the American menu(the only menu) and I opted for the the Beef and potato dish. Sounds and looks good; we get home and it was literally inedible. I had to throw it away it was laddend with grease and oil. One thing I hear is that their one redeeming quaility is their egg rolls....but you won't see me in there. I wish Pho Tau Bay would open up another restaurant in NE.

We go here for lunch about every other week. The food is very consistent, and while I may have tried a few dishes here and there, I almost always get the Hot and Spicy chicken. I think this dish elevates beyond the others... and so I'm stuck in a delicious rut of ordering the same thing, and I'm pretty happy about that. My co-workers are stuck in their own ruts as well with different dishes. I do also order a "half order" of the Eggrolls. It's a crispy pork delight. Service is fast, food is good quality for the price. You should visit.

  • Dena S.

The food is delish (those eggrolls make you dance and sing on the outside while your arteries shrivel and die on the inside, but live for today, no?) and they'll deliver it to your freaking door so you don't have to miss any of the new Tosh.0. The eats are always groovy going down, but this last Que Viet experience was a shade tainted (har har) by dinner's decision, a few hours post-consumption, to rocket launch itself into the troposphere, via my esophagus. How's about we compromise, Q.V.? I'll forgo the Tosh web redemption and come pick up my own dinner if you promise to refrigerate the goods for a few days before I call. Shake on it?

I believe the tropical monsoon that had turned the atmosphere over Minneapolis into a meteorological tribute to Saigon brought about my sudden craving for pho yesterday. After an evaluation to determine that my craving wasn't pregnancy related, I realized I was fine. One must have a sex life to be pregnant, after all. I gave in to my phixation and used my handy smart phone to phind me some pho. Armed with some positive Yelp reviews, I set off to St. Paul's Pho 79. Unfortunately, upon arrival I discovered they are closed on Sundays. After I cursed the Sabbath, I found myself navigating toward "Nordeast" to visit Que Viet Village House. Parking near the restaurant is scarce, as with most of Minneapolis, so I parked my car on a residential street a block away and hoofed it in. The restaurant itself is fairly typical of most Asian eateries around the country, a drab mismatch of cracked tiles, uncomfortable plastic chairs, and utilitarian tables. I did find some humor in the musical selections being piped through the the restaurant. There is nothing like a little "Guantanamera" and a mariachi rendition of Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou" to get one in the mood for an Asian meal. I was promptly seated and given a tattered, laminated menu. After scanning it intently, I discovered a small problem. In my haste, I had assumed "pho restaurant" and "Vietnamese Cuisine" were synonymous. After all, I have had extensive experience with Vietnamese fare in my native Las Vegas. It isn't possible to throw a ceramic spoon more than seven feet in Vegas's Chinatown without hitting a pho house or massage parlor. After a second and third menu reading, my horror was confirmed. There was no pho to be had. I settled on egg rolls and shrimp lo mein. The egg rolls were fantastic. If they weren't so unhealthy, I would have had a second order. The lo mien was so-so. There was not enough liquid/sauce left over from the cooking process to keep the dish moist and when the rice was added it was like eating an Asian-inspired bowl of paste. The fortune cookie was also disappointing. The texture was chewy and instead of offering me hope of love or riches, the fortune informed me that reading was the key to my happiness. Seriously? I will give Que Viet Village House three stars. The service was good and the egg rolls were outstanding. I give them the benefit of the doubt and say my displeasure with the lo mein was slightly seasoned by my deep disappointment over the lack of pho. I have also learned an important lesson. "Pho" and "Vietnamese Cuisine" are not interchangeable phrases. (But they should be!)

Egg Rolls are addictive, the special lo main is a great go to classic, and the beef and potatoes is a greasy guilty pleasure! We are always anxious to order our next take out.

Based on the reviews here on Yelp! I had to give this place a try. I decided to have the famous egg rolls and hot & spicy chicken. Both were very good, although I was slightly disappointed by the egg rolls. I think that was mainly due to my expectations being set so high by the other reviewers. I will definitely order them again. The staff were friendly and the experience was very pleasant. I look forward to many visits back here to try the rest of the menu items.

Went to Que Viet as it was highly recommended by a friend who lives in the neighborhood. From the outside it didn't look like much which was awesome 'cause it's hole in the walls like this that are usually very good and hidden gems. So as I sat and overlooked the menu I noticed that it is not entirely Vietnamese food. It is a blend of asian, mostly Chinese dishes but with a Viet-fusion, or spin per say. I tried the Soup w/Chicken and the GF had the Egg Roll over noodles w/side of fish sauce. Delicious! Hands down it was tasty and the best asian joint I've been to in the TC's thus far. Many selections of tasty items on the menu, so take your time and choose something good, maybe something you're familiar with, don't try and be adventurous and try something random 'cause you might leave with a bad impression of "non-authentic" Vietnamese food. Keep it simple and enjoy. Will I be going back? Most def. You should go try it. Now.

The egg rolls are so good, worth the trip by themselves. Always order them along with the chicken fried rice and there chicken pieces so I can dip them in the there great fish sauce. I've been with people who ordered an entree and they said its so so. 5 stars for there egg rolls.

Que Viet is a major family favorite. My dad has asked for Que Viet for his birthday meal on more than one occasion. As everyone has mentioned, their eggrolls are SUPREME. Seriously delicious. They were one of the few food items I truly missed when I was a vegetarian. The hot & spicy chicken, lo mein, and fried rice are all delicious as well. Although prices have gone up, it's still really reasonable. Pleaaaaase don't go to Leanne Chin when you could have Que Viet.

The BF and I were watching an episode of Top Gear where they motorcycle through Asia. It made me crave Vietnamese food so badly! I made him promise that we could head out to grab some just as soon as we got back to the Cities. We were about ready to head to Eat Street to hit up some of our usuals, but we decided to try something up in our neck of the woods instead. Saw the reviews for Que Viet and gave it a whirl. Perhaps it was our error in assuming the name meant that it was Vietnamese. There was nothing about the menu that reminded me of Vietnamese cuisine though. It seemed like straight up Chinese. Egg Drop soup, sweet and sour, lo mein... you get the drift. We landed on the asparagus soup (super bland), egg rolls (more like sausage wrapped in fried egg roll wrappers), beef lo mein (good, but better with hot sauce added to it) and the hot and spicy chicken (delicious!). Our server was so sweet and the portions were enormous. I will definitely go back when I am craving more of that chicken. So good! I think there are better overall Asian restaurants in town though.

What can I say that has not been written before about this place? We decided to eat-in rather than take out. Service was efficient and pleasant. Atmosphere, it probably looked nice when it was first decorated in 1991, right? What bumped this place from three to four stars, Egg Rolls. Huge portions, and really delicious. I heard and read stories all across the land about these egg rolls and they delivered! The Hot and Spicy chicken was pretty good too. I wasn't blown away, but it was worth eating for left-overs and very reasonably priced for how much food you got. This is not a first date kind of place. Que Viet is the kind of place you go to with someone you have been friends with or have been dating for a good amount of time. Not a place to impress someone with, but to just enjoy a nice no-frills meal.

Quite possibly my favorite eggroll salad in town - no doubt because of the excellent eggrolls! I also really, really love the chicken wings. A bit sweet and garlicky and so so good!

"THESE ARE THE BEST BEST F-ING EGG ROLLS!" (That's a direct quote from my fiance.) And he's right. Also, fantastic mock duck. I usually get take out, as I live 1 block away. The service is always speedy, friendly, and correct. One star off because I wish they could update the decor and serve alcohol, but I suppose there's some lame Johnson St law about it or something.

I grew up 3 blocks away from Que Viet, and have since compared every asian restaurant to it's awesomeness. The veggies are so fresh, the egg rolls spoil egg rolls from any place else, the lo mein is killer, and the fried rice makes me so so so happy. I would walk 500 miles for Que Viet!

    (5)
  • Kate K.

I'll echo the sentiments of a lot of past reviews: BEST EGGROLLS IN TOWN! An order of them alone is enough to fill you up. Meaty, mega-crispy, and extremely flavorful. My other favorite is the hot and spicy mock dock, a savory, spicy dish of mock duck and onions (even the onions and sauce is tasty on it's own) served over fluffy white rice. The portion is enough for two meals so it's great to share or take home for a late night snack or lunch the next day. The flavor is almost better the next day. I give it only four stars only because the meat dishes are a little gnarly. The sweet and sour chicken and pork seem pretty low quality meat-wise, but if you stick to veggie dishes you're golden. Also, lightning fast, friendly service.

No joke this place has the best egg rolls anywhere! The rest of the food is always fresh and delicious, but the eggs rolls are the best around. They are filled with lots of pork and fried to crispy perfection!!!!!!!!!!!

Egg rolls egg rolls and egg rolls!!! I didn't grow up far from here, and me the fam use to come here almost once a week to get some egg rolls. From time to time I still go here to get some egg rolls and chicken fried rice!!! Its a must enjoy!

Moved up the street from here from near Eat Street, and tried to find some Vietnamese food that didn't require a trip back into town. In that respect, I was disappointed. This is more like your average Chinese place. a) no beef and noodle salad. b) no pho. no pho. However, based on the reviews, we had to try the egg rolls. When they arrived as a big fried mess, we were a little afraid. Fear not. They are truly freakin delicious. My wife, who loathes fried food, kept stealing bites. Don't get the chow mein, it doesn't have much taste. On the other hand, the service was fast and pleasant, and there were other items that looked good, so I'll give it another go. Just don't go for pho.

Been coming here all my life. Love it. The egg rolls are crispy and scrumptious, and the hot and spicy chicken is simple, yet de-lish. The last time I was there I had the pork with fried bean curd which was excellent, although it would have been a tiny bit better with a little less sauce. This is a neighborhood institution and if it ever closed I think I would just have to pick up and leave town for good. To me, the mother of pearl inlay artwork on the walls and the generic Chinese Zodiac placemats are symbols of continuity and home. Seriously. Oh, and if you order a soda, they will keep refilling it. The last time I was there, every time I turned around, someone had taken my soda to refill it. So, in the interest of avoiding waste, I drank it, even though that meant that someone would see my empty glass and refill it. So if you like to drink tons of soda with your fried cheese wantons, this is the place.

No one does egg rolls like que viet. This is their signature item. Que viet uses rice paper for their egg rolls and the outside skin is crispy and bubbly and just loves your mouth. Then there are the fillings, the noodles and the veggies and meat and when you dip it in their excellent fish sauce your mouth has an "O" We never share the egg rolls because you want them all to yourself. They have recently updated their menu and their flatware and that is nice to see. As to entrees. I cannot think of anything I did not like. The sweet and sours, the stir fries. Love the fried rices tool Everything is always fresh and easily identifiable. I would take out more from here, but I live so far away it is not feasible. I wish I had one in my neighborhood. A hidden gem of a restaurant.

This is a hard place to review, their food is very average save one item. If you've read any of the other reviews you've obviously seen their eggrolls are the centerpiece to their menu. With your average trip to Leeann chins costing around $8 you really should drive the extra 1/2 mile to this place and have the added benefit of enjoying one of, if not the best egg rolls your guts will ever get to digest. Loaded with meat and deep fried to a crispy delight you really need to try these. They're really the best state fair food that I've never had at the fair.

Fast service and decent egg rolls but otherwise the food is only average. We keep going back because it is fast and cheap. We just add alot of siracha sauce to give the food flavor.

Like everyone is saying, great egg rolls. Very Good rice noodle bowls. Siagon style chow mein is remarkable.

This gets 5 stars from me for the egg rolls alone. I don't think I've ever had an egg roll as good as this. Even Than Doh's Vietnamese style egg rolls which are great, and high quality, but are way different then Que Viet's egg roll. Even Bona on campus who may have one of the best Vietnamese egg rolls around, while high quality and authentic, just doesn't compare. The difference is, Que Viet's is like a pork meatloaf wrapped in rice paper. My wife always gets the Egg rolls over Chilled Rice noodles , and it's amazing. I typically get the Spicy Chicken cause it's insanely good. I haven't found a spicy chicken that I like better then this one, and believe me, I've tried. The only one that is even close, is at Eden Vietnamese in Eden Prairie. My only beef, is that there is a bit of grizzle in the chicken and I usually spend some time going through and chopping out the bad parts. It's still soooo good, that I continue to order it.

Went here for real tonight...my school had some food brought in before for Asian Moon Festival a few years ago. Egg rolls amazing. Totally a dive, but it was OK...we had lo-mein which was fine, and hot and spicy chicken which was good, and not too spicy! My husband was more of a fan than me, but I think I've had too much Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese food in the last two weeks to have an unbiased opinon...

I wanted to like it so badly. We tried Que Viet for the first time on Saturday night and at first it seemed like a great choice. We stopped in to order takeout and the two employees that helped us were extremely nice. The food did not take long at all, I barely read two articles from the Onion while we waited. Upon getting it home, my boyfriend discovered to his delight that the egg rolls were akin to a small fried burrito and filled with more pork than he knew what to do with. He said they were by far the highlight of his meal (if only there were a veggie version too!) Based on the other reviews here that's a consistent experience. Other than that, the hot & spicy mock duck was good, but not really spicy at all, and the veggie fried rice with tofu was also pretty good........until we got home later that night, dove into the leftovers, and I chomped down on a shard of glass several bites in. This was after we had already eaten half of the dish earlier in the evening. Alarmed, we inspected the rice more closely and discovered more glass. It could happen anywhere, I guess. It certainly ruined it for me. Fortunately we read online that your stomach acid is more than likely strong enough to break glass down. Regardless, any place that I find numerous slivers of it in my food I probably will need time to forget before I go back.

Egg rolls are good, but don't get as excited at these previous reviews should indicate. It's a pretty standard Asian food restaurant, with nothing that Vietnamese on the menu. Typical Asian food place that lists "Hot & Spicy Chicken" as the "most famous dish." Staff is super friendly and punctual. Good lunch spot.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions.
