One of my staple lunch or breakfast places. For lunch I usually like to get their burritos and bowls but on cold days the gumbo really hits the spot. I've never had a bad experience with the food or service here. For breakfast their chorizo breakfast burrito never missed the mark! So good and super filling. Regardless of what you order make sure to add their queso, it seriously makes everything extra tasty. As for the question, is it better than Chipotle?: They both are equally good in their own style. I won't try to compare them.

Didnt like the service. No excitement and the ambience was quite dull. Worst part they are jjust not like chipotle!! Felt bad when charged extra for rice taken...

Why in the world would you go to Qdoba when Burrito Loco is a block away?! If you REALLY need to eat at a chain "Mexican" restaurant, take the extra walk to the Stadium Village Chipotle.

Are these people nuts. You can't run a business by taking orders and then cancelling them. Suggest you stay away.

I have given other Qdoba restaurants repeat business, but this was the first (and last) time I have been to this location. Granted, I have not been to one in a couple of years, so perhaps there have been sweeping changes for the worse throughout the entire franchise, but this location seems to have really nailed the worst way of doing business. First and foremost, the food: it was on-par with a store-brand microwaved burrito. The meat in all dishes was nasty, flavorless, and dried out. The rice was dried out as well. The beans smelled HORRIBLE. And to prove they could just as readily screw up the small stuff, no sour cream on the 3-cheese nachos as requested. If not just as important was the service. We placed the order online at 2:15 for a 2:45 pickup (we had the dog with, so didn't want a long wait), not exactly a "peak period." Went in to get the order at 2:43, and the guy at the counter collected her payment and told her that it was not yet ready; that it in fact had not even been started. He then proceeded to walk back to the kitchen while my wife was still talking to him. No apologies about the order, no "excuse me a moment," no prediction as to when the order would be ready. My wife went to the car to wait with the dog. She went back in at about 2:50, and the order was bagged and ready on the counter. The manager came over to her, pointing at the receipt, and said, "The food was on time. See - it says here on the receipt that it was ready at 2:43." My wife informed him that the clerk told her that it wasn't ready at that time, to which he replied, "No, see right here? Your food was on time." Again, no apologies, no "sorry about the delay," the manager clearly just wanted to make a point about when the receipt said the food was ready (and refused to listen to questions as to why she was told it wasn't ready).

Qdoba is to Chipotle as McDowell's is to McDonald's in the movie Coming to America. A pretty blatant rip off, even down to the layout and furniture. Although in this instance, I must say that Qdoba is better than Chipotle. They have more options for add-ons. It is about a buck cheaper. The only way that I think Chipotle beats Qdoba is that the tortilla is more prone to tear at Qdoba.

Stay away! This place canceled on me! I placed an order for 32 burritos today, gave my credit card number, phone number, and email address. They told me that they would be able to accommodate my large order. I received a phone message 20 minutes later telling me that they didn't have the staff to fulfill the order and THEY were canceling the order on ME, the customer. I understand that it was a holiday, but if you can't take the order, maybe you shouldn't accept it in the first place. Don't give me some song and dance about there being a 24 advanced notice policy AFTER you've already accepted it. I was trying to feed a large group of people and this place made that job impossible. 32 people were inconvenienced tonight by the lack of professionalism and incompetence of this "business". Stay away!

I have such a weakness for Qdoba and Chipotle. I know it's not authentic, but I still like it. I think what I like best is that I can get things at both of these places without the beans. Their pico de gallo is fresh and the hot salsa actually has a bit of a kick to it. The rice is fabulous. Thanks, Qdoba, for the 1,000 calories I consumed at lunch today.

Okay. Qdoba. Now, don't get me wrong. This isn't something that should be enjoyed on a regular basis. It's the opposite of healthy food, and really shouldn't be considered Mexican. But. The queso burrito? It is a big goopy pile of AWESOME. I kid you not. It's like if you took the carb-urrito that is Chipotle and put QUESO SAUCE ON IT. They also steam the tortilla instead of grilling it, for that extra goopy appeal. Seriously, that thing is...glorious. Salsa, cheese, rice, and meat all blending together inside a squishy tortilla. Okay. So it's not high quality food. It's not authentic. It's not local. It will probably have a contributing factor to my future health ailments. But...god, once In a while, it just really hits the spot.

Solid breakfast burritos at a great price $4. Get the chorizo burrito with all of the fixings. The staff here are friendly and patient when you don't know what you want. The queso is tasty and the guac is really fresh. I'd choose Qdoba over Chipotle any day. As a side note, for some reason, their burrito bowl containers are impossible to open unless you are ready to spill all over yourself.

I'll admit, Qdoba doesn't hold a flame to chipotle's mass appeal and tastiness; but this particular qdoba makes it up with the friendly staff, breakfast options and the fact that they're constantly involved with student organizations on campus. Breakfast is served until noon on weekends. Super clutch for when you're hungover and need something to help fill you up.

Qdoba vs. Chipotle? Why do you have to choose? I will say that I think Chipotle has better ingredients, but the queso sauce is way too bomb to even care. Get the nachos, with the chips on the side, and get ready for cheesy goodness. Their breakfast burritos are really good, but the secret is that they're available late at night as well (you just have to ask- they take down the menu) and probably one of the best drunk munchies options in Dinky. Their staff is always super friendly and they also do some great promotions. Follow them on Facebook for Trivia Tuesdays, which means me Googling the answer as fast as possible in order to get a free entree. You can also join their Loyalty club, which means you gain 100 points for every meal you buy- 1000 points is a free burrito! But really, it's all about that queso cheese sauce. I'd take a bath in that stuff.

Reasons why Qdoba is Nummy Nom-Nom Rawr: 1: Their Cheese Queso Sauce - If I was fat and rich I would have A Qdoba Queso Sauce fountain operating 24 HRS. M- F, in my kitchen. I am the person that covers anything and everything in their Queso Sauce - kind of like the kid that puts ketchup on everything they eat. 2: They serve breakfast starting at 7AM - Take that McDonald's! 3: They are open until 3AM Thursday-Saturday. In other words, don't be surprised if you wake up with Queso Sauce all over your face and splattered in your purse after a crazy night in Dinkytown. 4: The staff is always beyond friendly, chill and efficient. Qdoba lives up to a "Pine-Sol" so fresh and so clean standard. 5: QUESO SAUCE! I crave this ooey gooey cheesy goodness called Queso Sauce! I'm the person that would lick the contents of the container until the very last drop; however I am afraid that a picture of this would end up on some website similar to peopleofwalmart.com .

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
