If you need a place that caters to vegans, carnivores, and everyone in-between, man, you have to go here!! The food was INSANE. Everyone enjoyed their meaty delights, but my sister and I gained five pounds of vegetable matter in this joint. We ordered the vegan nuggets (on the summer menu) and that comes with BBQ or Buffalo sauce. They were so good my meaty dad raved over them! My toddler loved them too sans the sauce. We also got the vegan meatballs with their house cheez made from cashews and tofu. So much good. I had the Mock Muffuletta and it was damned tasty. they also had a kids menu with vegan options on it, say what? That baby of mine feasted on the spaghetti. We are going to come here EVERY TIME WE COME HOME FROM NOW ON. I will wear my sweatpants too. So, are you vegan? vegetarian? Gluten free? You got kids? You don't care about any of that and you want to eat bear on your pizza? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

First off Yelp this is in Richfield not Minneapolis, got me confused when looking to post. Hubbie and I go to this place a lot when our 12 year old wants to go out. Also a good place if you dont have kids. Pizza is always on point, always new sesonal items. Beer selection is awesome. Love the fun people who work here. There is usually a wait when we come but not bad. There is outdoor seating too! Salads and appetizers are good also. Lots of seatting options.

We love coming here to build our own vegan pizza. The 5 stars are specifically for the delicious pizza we had on 9/11/15 and the friendly and prompt service from Kelly in the bar area. Kelly was super friendly and knowledgeable about the vegan menu options which we greatly appreciated after bad experiences with two different female servers the last two times we dined at this location. Those other times my dining companion noticed one roll her eyes at me while I looked down at the menu to ask a question (she didn't realize he was looking at her) and another time a server seemed really "put out" by a simple question about one of the toppings. Both times it was not busy in the restaurant, but it was late and perhaps the servers had a long night (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt). As I know we will definitely be going back, I hope we get Kelly or another friendly server rather than those rude ones.

Pizza is great! Happy hour is awesome. The bartenders are there for you. They work hard and are friendly. It's nice to get a slice of pizza late at night. The patrons are always friendly. My gal and I got a bunch of local art prints for our home and noticed Pizza Luca has a bunch of her work. So, I have to say the ambience is cool as well.

I met a group here and it was a good day for the patio. It's a popular. The waiter was great and people came by to clear empty plates often. I'm the clean up woman and tend to gather and stack plates up. We all shared the appetizer sampler, the flatbread appetizer, and the athena pizza. I love the artichoke dip and the bread that goes with it. I actually liked the appetizer pizza better than the Athena. I tried the watermelon spritzer drink and it was weird, but someone else really liked it. They give you your choice of a refill on a soft drink and I got iced tea. They have sugar in the raw. I love the size and the parking lot too. It may be the place to see and be seen in Richfield.

We love Pizza Luce and have ordered takeout, had brunch, and even our son's first birthday party here. The birthday party was what gave this 5 stars. we had a few tables reserved and our service was excellent - very accommodating to our party of about 20, attentive and really friendly. Food is wonderful. We are fans of the Luce, Ruby Rae and Athena pizzas. Brunch was really good too - lots of variety, a make your own bloody Mary bar, and a variety of mimosas. Love that there's free and ample parking, and a graet beer selection too. Also one of the few places in the Cities to offer pizza by the slice. You can't lose here!

Pizza Luce...delivery! Fabulous each and every time with the NICEST drivers, who are prompt and very courteous. The artichoke dip is flavorful with a bit of spice, meatballs in a savory tomato sauce, many pizza options with delicious crusts, salads are crisply fresh made better with the white balsamic dressing, divine hoagies both hot and cold, but my favorite...the rice krispie bars. Hoping your delivery experience is as fabulous as ours has always been.

Love the food...not so thrilled with the service. Stopped in on Sunday afternoon and had PAINFULLY slow service. After waiting for at least 10 minutes I had to go and ask the host to find us a waitresses. When she arrived she seemed almost annoyed that she had been called out to serve us. Throughout our meal she made infrequent visits. I'm not sure where she ever was since I never saw her walking around the dining area although I did see her once in the kitchen area SWEEPING THE FLOOR. The pizza was great...the the service killed the experience. I won't be back...well at least to this location. I could never give up Pizza Luce completely.

I love Pizza Luce... I love it just SO MUCH. Although you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, the pizzas are my all time favorite. They are always fresh with the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings, every time. Speaking of toppings, you can get pretty much anything on your pizza. There are specialties like Baked Potato, Ruby Rae, and Shrimp al Pesto, or you can build your own. I am a bit of a nutjob when it comes to crust. If there is too much or I don't like it, I will not eat it. But at Pizza Luce, they have me covered! The crust has a fantastic texture of being chewy and tender and is perfectly proportionate to the toppings. I can eat the whole slice (read: several slices) without feeling bloated with crust. The ambiance is cool and casual. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very patient (which is very important when you can't decide what you want to stuff into your face). I wish I were in MN right now to eat. Even though it's stupid-cold outside.

This Pizza Luce is rock solid. They have a full bar with different nightly specials, Tuesday $3.50 taps and Thursday $4 Whiskey are probably my favorite. The patio and bar both have ample seating, once side of the bar actually opens up to the patio if it's nice out. It does get busy so be prepared to wait, however because of the nice sized bar it's usually feasible to belly up if your patient. Food has always been consistent with other Pizza Luce locations so you know what you're getting. I prefer The Boss or Santa Fe Chicken, nice thing is you can split any pizza if you can't settle on one. Parking can be a challenge too, especially in the winter. They have a decent lot but it seems like every visit I have to make a lap to find a spot. Altogether this is a reliable option and I'm glad there is one on the south side of town.

Order here all the time. The quality is less than the one in Saint Paul. The wait staff are ok. The take out orders so far are 90% wrong. Double check what you order because quality control means little here. Double check your bill too... I have had them double charge me twice and also over charge me 3 times. I ordered on my wedding day as a treat for everyone late in the night. Pricey... Which is okay... If the quality was as good as Saint Paul or down town MPLS... The Katerina focaccia is amazing however. I crave it. Has the right amount of pesto and tomatoes. Great sipping sauce. Sitting on the patio is nice but non of the servers like working out there. It must be far from everything. I want to give it a 5 star because of the other locations .. But just cannot. This specific location in Richfield does not deserve it.

It's a real cool and unique menu. They have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options on the menu. They are great at not cross contaminating your food for special dietary needs. We got the baked potato pizza. They use blended up baked potatoes rather than the traditional red sauce. We also got the vegan buffalo wings. The food was great and so was the service. I definitely recommend going to this pizza place. When the "pizza" came out it was delicious. It was like we weren't even eating a pizza. It was a crispy flat baked potato. It's a must get if you're into potatoes!

This is my fave Pizza Luce' even though its on the wrong side of the river. I like the privacy of the booths and the size of the place. Its much bigger than others and parking is so much easier than the uptown or Selby Avenue one. What I don't like is where the bathrooms are. They are in the basement and it just seems weird. Other than the bathroom placement, the service and food is spot on. I have been here three times and each time, the servers were friendly and seemed happy to be working. What I like here is the Bruschetta..Love it so much! Always get extra bread for a dollar extra! I also like the garlic cheese bread and the tuna salad. That is what I eat here! I know, I may be in the minority when I say I don't think the zza is that great but I am addicted to the salads and bruschetta! Ci likes the pasta and my picky picky niece even liked the red sauce. Its a great place for vegans and those with gluten issues. I think I need to get some bruschetta delivered now; I want some!

Was on a business trip in Minneapolis and could not stop ordering this pizza every night for delivery! The menu is creative with a nice big variety. The Rustler Pizza is down right addictive and their Greek salad rocked as well. I ordered from the Richfield location and it was always at my door in 20 or 30 minutes. Might have to take a special trip back just to order here again!

I wanted to give more, I did. The good, my server had heart but I think he was too busy. The gluten free crust was great! Done, crispy! The pizza portion of my pizza was not however. I understand I pay more for a GF crust and get a 10" pie, but half of my pizza had no cheese on it. The half that did tasted great. I was never served water.

I got to the Pizza Luce in Saint Paul a lot and like it. This place is not as great food wise. Staff is pretty good. Drinks were not as good. My mixed drink was just sort of funny tasting. My husband's sandwich was good, but I made the mistake of ordering off of the specials menu. The "Thai pasta" was just terrible. It's spaghetti noodles, soy sauce, siracha, chicken, onions, and sesame seeds. I used to make the exact same thing in college. JUST PLAIN BAD. Too salty, chicken overcooked, blah blah blah very bad.

Well. As far as the slow, unmotivated, irritable staff goes, where else is a Millennial with a neck tattoo and ear gages going to get a job? Nowheresville, that's where. These people are hurting inside, look at their haircuts, for God's sake. Have compassion. Newbys, try the app sampler. This'll give you an idea if the whole 'mashed potato pizza' is for you. Sampler also comes with their meatballs- which are a simpl revolution of the soul- the artichoke dip (flipping' amazing) and the bruschetta (passable). Literally every pizza in the place is amazing. The crust is perfect- chewy, like everyone ever likes it. Sauce is perfect, how can I even describe sauce, I mean, it's so good. Check out my awesome reviewer skills. But here's the thing, I've even eaten toppings that I usually hate at Luce because somehow they make everything taste amazing. I ate sausage and pepperoni there last time. Gross! They whip up batches of deserts themselves everyday. I never leave with out eating some cheesecake because it's perfect. So give the staff some pity and run to Pizza Luce.

Brunch. Eggs Benedict. 68 degrees with the sun shining down. Not too much more one could ask for except a little more attention to service. The place is clean and we were seated right away on a relatively busy day. Although my party and I were "indoors" we were next to the patio with full openness to the outside. The eggs benedict were rich and divine, exactly how they are supposed to be served. Initially the server was very attentive to us. She refilled our drinks once before our entrees came. Once those entrees came, though, we were left on our own! She came back once, check in hand, quickly grabbed our plates and never returned. We ended up processing our check at the front station. I believe it was to be paid at the table. That piece was disappointing and it is the reason they could not earn the 5 stars with me. Outside of that piece, everything else would have hit the 5 mark.

Good stuff! An eclectic and sometimes downright funky collection of pizzas that so far, have all been damn good. BBQ chicken and Ruby Rae have been our favorites so far but a few different people have raved about their baked potato pizza (next on the list to try). Good pizza, good beer and a great patio make for a worthwhile trip.

Ordered the Ruby Rae pizza, grilled brussel sprouts, and spicy buffalo wings - all three were pretty meh. Quick review - pizza: virtually flavorless toppings and bland sauce with cardboard crust; spicy wings: overcooked and dry; brussel sprouts: annoyingly chewy and bland. Gets three stars for excellent service and cook times. The food wasn't terrible it was just disappointing. Honestly, frozen tombstone pizza crust has more flavor. The wings probably would've been awesome if they were cooked properly and I didn't have too high of expectations for the brussel sprouts cuz, well, they're brussel sprouts. Hehehe. The pizza looked delicious when it came out but upon the first bite discovered it had virtually no flavor. Completely forgot the thing even had spinach on it and the sauce that they so proudly put on top was just as tasteless. Crust was the same story - looked great but was flavorless cardboard. The Italian sausage chunks were nothing more than salty filler. Interesting side note: we drizzled some of the cheese sauce that came with the brussel sprouts on top of the pizza and it totally transformed the flavor. The saltiness of the sauce brought out some flavor and we could actually taste the tomato sauce! Not bad after that. The buffalo wings were worse. Overcooked and dry. Even the beer couldn't save them. This was really disappointing as I've had their wings before at the grand avenue location and they were amazing. Sadly, not this time around. The celery that came with it was good. Brussel sprouts had a weird consistency to them. Too chewy. We determined that they didn't boil them long enough or something before grilling them. Had to gnaw on the hearts for a good minute to be able to swallow them. They had more flavor without the creamy cheese sauce that came with them. Overall, a typical minnesota dining experience - overcooked and bland. Somebody really needs to take the cooks in this place aside and tell them to knock off 3-4 mins on all their cook times.

I've always been a fan of Pizza Luce, no matter what location I visit. I live a stone's throw away from the Hopkins location, but when a friend moved right down the street from this location, I decided to bike over and check it out on a perfect May evening. Pizza Luce is consistently excellent. I've never ordered a pizza, entree, or appetizer that I didn't find extremely delicious. And Luce can accomodate even the pickiest of eaters with gluten free and vegan options. It was a busy night on the outdoor patio; however, my friend and I received top notch service. I would have understood if it were a bit slow given how busy it was, but our server was extremely attentive and nice. The service was good to the point where I had an "ah ha" moment about what getting good service is really like. In addition to the amazing service, I was reminded how stellar the beer selection is. Any place that has Steel Toe on tap is a winner in my book, but Sommer Vice? I'd forgotten all about it since last year and upon seeing it on the menu and tasting it again, I felt truly like summer is around the corner. Well done Pizza Luce. Always a winner.

I've been coming to Luce a few times a month since this location opened in Richfield 2 years back in Fall of 2012. This place has it all - summer patio with lights, quiet booths in back for dates, bigger tables in a large group section, and a stellar bar area. I haven't found anything on the menu that isn't great. The pizza's are unique and fresh along with sandwiches, pasta's, and salad. For beer lovers - there are about 20 taps, mostly all local minnesota brews or craft selections like Bells, Founders, and Laguintas. Tap tuesday has $3.50 all beers all day as of Dec 2014. The Happy hour is great too with $2 off apps and $3.50 beers. My favorite menu items - small spinach salad, Peking Chicken wings (you must!), and whatever the pizza slice of the day is. This location carries the same chill vibe as the others with good food, nice staff, and great atmosphere. You'll find young families in one area, couples on dates, regulars at the bar, and it all works! The parking lot can get really crowded around dinner and tap Tuesday can fill the bar area quick!

After a long day of dealing with snow, the lady and I were not up for cooking. We decided to trek slightly south and check out the Richfield Luce finally for late night happy hour. It has been a while since I have been in a Luce with a full bar, and I think I need to make it in more often! It was my first time in dozens, if not hundreds, of Luce visits having the artichoke dip-HOT DAMN that is good. I didnt care my breath still reeks of garlic, that was tasty. We had Peking wings also (of course) and i really, REALLY wish the wingies were on happy hour. Oh well, a man can dream. I saw someone order a martini. I decided to have one as well. Pizza and a martini, why not? It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

They always give excellent customer service regardless if it's at the restaurant or delivering it to your doorstep. If you're not a pizza person try there traditional spaghetti with meatballs! I have loved Pizza Luce since the first time I went to dine there years ago. It's the sort of place that always has something new and interesting to try. The decor is also distinctive and fun to be in. The newest location in Richfield doesn't disappoint. Since it's near my place of work, it will be visited frequently. Lunch was the spinach salad, my boss ordered this; and I had the Caesar salad. I'd also ordered the lasagna, but the salad was more than enough to eat alone, so I took that home for dinner that night. It was, as expected, DELICIOUS!! The salad was great, too. The staff here are attentive without being obtrusive. I plan to come back again soon.

Pizza Luce is serious about its gluten-free menu and God bless them for it. They have gluten-free shells, pizza, bread, and hard apple cider (Angry Orchard rocks!). Yeah! They also have a spectacular brunch menu on Sundays. This is my favorite Pizza Luce locations for many reasons other than its outstanding gluten-free selection. It's huge. I don't have to wait for a table and if I do, it isn't for very long. (They have a very nice bar you can sit at if you have to wait anyway.) They have a porch and outdoor seating during the spring/summer/fall months. Servers are very nice with top notch service. Also, most other Pizza Luce locations (I'm looking at you Uptown and St. Paul) have difficult parking situations but the parking lot is huge at this location. This is my go-to Pizza Luce location and I've never had a bad experience here. One of the only drawbacks is that the bathrooms are downstairs. This really isn't an issue for me, and there is an elevator, but if you dine with someone with limited mobility (elderly, scooter, someone in a wheel chair, someone on crutches even), I could see this might serve as an inconvenience. But, like I said, at least there is an elevator.

Rather than delete my old review, I'll leave it, because all of what I said is true. My update is about one thing alone. I quit smoking using an e-cigarette 6 months ago, and though I've used it plenty of times before, I was just told last night I can't use it at Pizza Luce. Evidently it's a company wide policy. I completely support business owners rights to dictate what takes place in their businesses. Unfortunately, I prefer to spend my money at places that allow people to use e-cigarettes. If Luce changes their policy, I'll go back. Till then, I will patronize establishments that are tolerant of the method in which I've chosen to tackle quitting tobacco. :-)

I'm definitely a fan of Pizza Luce, and have been to a couple of their locations. But I would imagine that this location probably is "less known" about or perhaps more neighborhood-y. Either way, the few times that I've been here it's been steady busy with customers; but not overly packed like it seems like the one in Uptown always is. (But then again, that location is probably alot smaller too.) Things that I like about this location (other than close proximity to me) ...first of all parking! There is an ample-sized parking lot with plenty of other nearby parking too. So even both times when the lot was full, i had a relatively short walk. (I'd rather do that any day than feel like I won the parking lottery trying to get a spot in Uptown or pay for parking elsewhere.) Same menu as the others. This year i had my work team's holiday gathering here. On a Sunday night, it wasn't an issue at all for them to score a table for 11. We all shared apps, pizza, and pasta. Plus the bar was readily available for us to have some adult beverages too. Good food... i love their pizza. And they had an amazing GF dessert too! Yum!

Thank goodness for the gluten free selection at pizza Luce. My sister recently stopped eating foods with gluten in them and I had absolutely no idea what she could get when we go out to eat. Every single type of food on the menu had at least one option for her. Apps, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, everything. We had the sampler app, which I wouldn't get again. The artichoke dip part was delicious, the rest was just alright. I would recommend just getting the full size artichoke app. The lasagna was gigantic, two meals even for my garbage disposal of a boyfriend, and came with traditional sauce, Alfredo or a rosa which I've never seen before and was very good. I had a salad and my sister had a pizza called the Bear which was seriously meat on meat on meat. Everyone enjoyed their meals and Summit beers on tap were only three dollars! If you have the chance to sit outside at night, do it! The have a very cute patio with little globe lanterns lighting your dinner.

Okay, time for an updated review to Luce. If possible, it is BETTER than the last time. Why? Here are the highlights: 1. They routinely have special tappings of rarer beer. Later this week they have a special firkin tapping of Fulton's Worthy Adversary. Recently they've had firkin tappings of Surly Darkness and Deschutes The Abyss. 2. They have tap takeovers from some of the local breweries including Summit, 612, and Surly. 3. In general, they have a lot of variety on tap, and it's a continuous rotating list of goodness. Stone Arrogant Bastard, Surly Cacao Bender, Surly Abrasive, offerings from Green Flash, Clown Shoes, it just doesn't get better. Before New Years they had Breckenridge Vanilla Porter on Nitro! 4. Tonight is the beginning of their Stout week. They are going to have Goose Island Bourbon County Stout on tap. Seriously. 5. The bar staff is amazing. Attentive, accurate, quick, friendly. Everything you could want in a neighborhood bar that also happens to serve food. 6. The employees stick around when they're not working. That should tell you something. 7. Follow them on Twitter. They tweet when a new beer gets tapped. Awesome.

The question of the quality of food from Pizza Luce has never caused doubt in my mind, however the service during the lunch hour was hectic and quite a bit delayed. My coworkers and I came during our lunch, only to find that it was incredibly under staffed. The bartender was not only performing her job, but took on the role of covering a large area that 2 waitresses could have been assigned. One coworker ordered a refill on her drink and waited almost another 30 minutes before finally getting it. Our food came out in an odd stoccato procession, some having to eat before others, simply because it would have been cold if they had waited for everyone else's. I might try this location in another couple of months simply because it is so new, but probably at the dinner hour when I'm not in a rush to go anywhere else for the evening.

Roomservice fail = Luce Win These guys are open until 3am with delivery, any late-working business traveler's dream. Within 30 minutes of my order at a hotel near Mall of America / Waterpark of America, I was greeted by a friendly delivery man at the door of my room. Awesome service and very reasonable for the price (free delivery as well, which is very good). Now to the pizza (of which I'm a stingy guy on the comments). I ordered the Luce, their "signature" pizza with romano and mozzarella, onions and fennel sausage. The star of this pizza was the crust: earthy with a grainy tone to the crust. The pizza was flavorful, but not too standoutish - a very good execution but not 5-star in my book. The sauce had just the right amount of kick to it, but unfortunately the intriguing flavor of the sauce was masked by the very done cheese (a dark brown melt over the pizza). The chunks of sausage helped to bring out the flavor of the sauce, but I found the pizza overly masked by the cheese. Nonetheless the pizza was delicious, hot when delivered, and worth the price. Overall, an exceptional execution, not your average, run-of-the-mill pizza joint with service to boot. Felt like a prince after a long 14-hour workday, but if they let the sauce and crust be the stars of the pizza (and maybe cut the cheese factor in half), that pizza would have been a 5-star on my book! Great job guys.

My wife and I have been here twice. We like pizza, but I'm a wing nut, and my mission in life is to find the best wings. (at least as much is practical). Pizza Luce' only has a few flavors, and I've only ordered one flavor on both visits (several months apart). I can't recall the exact name of the flavor, but it is baked with a sweet sauce with diced pineapples until the coating caramelizes on the wings, and is served with a side of peanut sauce. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR !!! If you love wings, and love GOOD wings, you need to try these! Someday I will try the other flavors, but I love these so much that I must have them. I've ate wings at a lot of places, and this one ranks tops. I have had some of my wifes' pizza, and it is also very good. It's a great place...great atmosphere, friendly and hard working staff. I think you'll enjoy it.

I LOVE Pizza Luce but won't be returning to the one in Richfield any time soon. We were seated in the bar right away this afternoon (it wasn't busy at 3:00) and then waited....and waited...and waited to have anyone come to take our drink order. The table next to us had two servers visit their table (one stayed and talked for awhile) and a third server visited a different table multiple times. Servers 4 & 5 laughed and talked near the POS while we waited at least 10 minutes to be noticed. Finally we moved to the bar and decided to just eat there. As a former server, I realize that it can be a difficult job, and I never expect to be waited on immediately. This was absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and unacceptable. I would give your business to any of the other establishments around here. Don't go here!

This place was recommended by the hotel my family stayed at while traveling through on vacation. The gentleman on the phone was ridiculously pleasant and even offered plates and napkins since he knew we were in a hotel. It was a little expensive - we just ordered one large pizza - but it was quick delivery. As for the pizza itself, I wish I could say it was as amazing as the service I had received. We ordered The Maximus. It was just ok and I can't quite put my finger on what it is I would change. If I ever give it another try, I would order something else and hope it was better. Oh, one other thing. While looking over the menu I found they have dedicated gluten free options - something I look for because I have a celiac in my family. Overall, give it a try.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It was recommended by a family member. First, it has a nice atmosphere. It was a bit loud but the table was comfortable. Also, they had a fairly extensive menu selection. I had no problem finding things that looked yummy. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken and I liked it. There could have been a bit more chicken but overall I was very satisfied with it. My husband's pizza was good, too. The only thing that was bad here (terrible, actually) was the service. Although our server was friendly, she didn't check on us very soon after the food came out, and our glasses were empty for the entire meal. We did not have tea or water, and she did not give us any refills. When my husband asked for a tea in a to go cup, they didn't have those either. So we left very thirsty. Other than that, I liked this place.

Well, I tried the much raved about Pizza Luce on Wednesday and was sadly let down. I was starving because I did not have breakfast or lunch that day, so it's not like I was being a picky eater. It's just that the pizza I had was simply bland and nothing to write home about. I decided to have a slice of pepperoni pizza (I know, so adventurous) and it reminded me of pizza you would find at any mall food court around the country. Since I was less than pleased with the pepperoni decision, I decided to dial down my wild side and go for a slice of cheese. Even though it was fresh out of the oven, it still was less than stellar. Not enough sauce, not enough spice, not enough cheese equals a lame slice of pizza. The servers were great, fast, and friendly. The atmosphere was clean, casual, and enjoyable. It was happy hour time and bar was bumping, it had a great vibe. Maybe I will try them again, if not, I won't be missing anything.

The patio is nice and semi-covered and there's a biiiiig ol' lot for you to park. Great service and friendly, smiling employees. We brought a 4 year old here during brunch and she was entertained by the many kid-friendly amenities. I just wish they delivered to my S. Minneapolis house!

We are from Chicago, and are very proud of our pizza, but I have to say Pizza Luce' is a strong contender to our Chicago pizza. To start the restaurant is very modern but not to pretentious. The service is over the top our server was very attentive making recommendations on the menu items also the specials of the day. We were so amazed of the quality and freshness of the ingredients WOW! We started with the meat ball appetizer the garlic bread was magnificent bread, the meat actually taste like my grandmas recipe. We also ordered the classic pizza the star of the night. Where do I start, the crust is amazing light not a heavy dough crispy bottom and very fresh. The sauce fresh tomatoes very bright sauce whit a nice sweet finish. The toppings so fresh you think they were picked that morning. I truly believe this is on my top 2 pizza i have ever had and have traveled to many cities in this country. To finish off the service was great its hard to find quality genuine servers great job Pizza Luce' is a great place for Pizza!!!!!!

I've only been here a couple of times, enough to know this is not my first choice for a pizza. I like a traditional, non-"gourmet" pie the best, and if they can get that right, then the rest is easy The outdoor patio, the location, and the beer selection are good and the waitstaff was really worth the 20% gratuity. However, I had to lightly salt and heavily pepper the pizza to bring it up to flavor. Sitting outdoors on a warm and breezy summer day also cooled it off very fast, which is probably a mistake in seating choice. When all was finished, I had a pile of uneaten crust on my plate, which is unusual for me. But the beer, patio, service and location are all really good and the street noise does not impair conversation at all.

My wife has to eat gluten-free, that adds a level of difficulty in going out. Pizza Luce does one of the best jobs in the Twin Cities with a gluten-free menu. My wife just loves what she can eat here. She says the breads and pizza crust are some of the best she has had anywhere. They also have many appetizers and main dishes that are gluten-free.

Opening night review. With all of the chatter around town that's been going on for months, I figured there'd be a line out of the door. Instead, it was easy to slide in and get a table for late happy hour. As it's brand-spanking-new, it's lovely and everything is clean and unused. Other than that, it's really your standard Pizza Luce. I do have to give props for the location, this stretch of Richfield asphalt really needs a place that isn't Houlihan's, KFC, or Burger King. The big bonus above other locations seems to be the spacious patio. It's quite big and wraps around two sides. It's set back far enough from the street that you don't notice traffic or pedestrians. Pretty constant airplane noise drowns out your conversations every few minutes until flights stop running at night, but I can't fault them for that. Other metro locations can have cramped patios, this location has corrected for that with ample space. Will be interesting to see how full it gets on weekend nights. The food is good but I really can't say it's any different than any other Pizza Luce. Obviously it's a chain and the menu is going to be the same. It also means that there's nothing so stellar or totally spellbinding that I haven't already experienced and which merits five stars. Unless you rate every Pizza Luce five stars. Staff was friendly and courteous and seemed to be "into" ringing in the new location...a plus for service. First round, I'd give it 3.5 stars, but as I like the chain and absolutely nothing went wrong, we'll inaugurate the place with a nice round four. It's a great location, and this neighborhood sorely needs a place like this, so I can see myself coming back fairly often. Hope the quality and service keeps up.

I love Luce in general, but have personally boycotted this branch for the past year due to their delivery service and the attitude I encountered from one of their general managers. I broke down on Halloween, only to have a surly employee answer the phone to inform me that they were closed (why did you answer? and if you must answer, why be such a cranky pants?). I understand that food service is often a tiresome and thankless job, but still. I wish you would treat your customers better.

We have been HUGE Pizza Luce fans, for ten years. Granted, I am referring to the Uptown and Downtown locations. When we moved to South Minneapolis, we started ordering delivery from the Richfield location and have had incredibly mixed experiences. When they first opened, whatever we ordered was hot, well cooked, and timely. Forward a year, and a HUGE shift has occurred. We cannot get a good pizza out of that place. Usually, the crust is deflated, chewy, and all around unappetizing. Just today, we ordered a pizza with light cheese and when it arrived, it had at least the amount of cheese it would normally come with, my husband argues that there was actually MORE than normal. The point is, when a customer requests something very simple, just do it. Or else, you may lose some regulars... We have been tossing in other delivery pizza places in the neighborhood just to compare ( and because we are tired of the disappointment). We have resorted to Dominos as an alternative delivery pizza joint and you know what? Theirs is better, these days. In our opinion, the new Luce is just not meeting the standard of the other locations.

Just tried this place for the first time on a friends recommendation. The pizza to me was okay, nothing that I would crave but not the worst pizza I've had. The old fashioned cherry coke was literally the most disgusting thing I have ever had so I changed for a regular coke. My sister got a turkey, genoa salami sandwich she described as amazing along with the dressing on her salad. The waitress was fast and friendly. Some dirty silverware in a couple of the napkins but not a big deal since we just needed the napkins. I would try this place again.

As much as people rave about this place, I'm just not a huge fan. I come here about twice a month between picking up my son and bringing him to tutoring. Now, I have to admit, the ambiance is great. It's a fun hangout, looks great, and severs are awesome. I like the bar area too. However, the food is eh. I've tried several pizzas, the lasagne, and apps. None of which are standout. I don't hate them, but don't love them either. Basically if you're in the area and don't want chain food, come here. Otherwise skip.

Little town of Richfield practically flipped when this restaurant opened! Great place for quality pizza and hangout. Servers are very nice and accommodating. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options though it is annoying that they charge more for the option.

BEWARE if you have small children. 4 kids and 2 adults. They brought out two slices of pizza for the kids...about a half hour after we ordered it. The server said...be careful, it just came out of the oven. What they didn't say was that it just came out of a 500 degree oven and brought straight to the table. The pizza was so hot one child dropped it on her leg and got 2nd degree burns and she will have scars. The other child picked up their piece and the cheese was so hot that it was liquid and slid off the bread part. Explaining to the wait person..she walked away in the middle of my talking to her. Management said they would talk to their staff about bringing out pizzas straight from the oven. Nevertheless, I just don't feel like ever going back to this place and definately not with children.

Love this place! Great food and drink selection with a bunch of local beers on tap. The service has always been lackluster every time, though. The servers seem sad, lonely, bored, or upset in some way where their personality is left at home. Other than that, this is an awesome hang out with a killer happy hour.

I come here quite often cos it's open untill late in the night... Half off on select appetizers when on happy hours.. I love their bruschetta and artichoke dip... And their wings are too good... I will keep coming back for their wings... I am too full with their appetizers that I never try their pizza...

I have been to every Pizza Luce, even Duluth! This is easily the best location. Pizza Luce is for fans of gourmet pizza, diners with food restrictions (almost everything can be made vegan and gluten-free) and anyone who appreciates fantastic food at a reasonable price! To me, the barbecue mock duck pizza (the Rustler) is the most flavorful pizza in town. The staff at this Luce seems to be more agreeable and cooperative than anywhere else, and I've never had to wait for a table. Great place!!

I'm not sure I can adequately express how happy I am to have a Pizza Luce down here in my neck of the woods, but I'm sure going to try. We headed to Pizza Luce a few weeks ago for a family celebration. Even though the place had just opened, the service was fantastic, and there didn't seem to be any discernible hiccups at all. Our server was very attentive, and stayed patient with our group of seven, keeping our drinks full and seeming just as relaxed as if there were just two of us. The food was as great as always. We started with the appetizer sampler, which includes some of their amazing dips; I could eat that artichoke dip every single day. We also enjoyed the famous Baked Potato Pizza (if you've never had this, go to Luce RIGHT NOW... you can finish reading this as you come out of your carb coma), the all-meat pizza (I think it was called the Wrangler?) and a spicy, soul-satisfying fall menu item called the Boss. This masterpiece includes pepperoni, basil, and spicy giardiniera--incredible! Now that I think of it, I need to get back to Pizza Luce ASAP; I need to get some of that Boss pizza in my face again before winter comes.

I am so glad my friends took me here! I am out of town an they said, that I must experience the Pizza Luce'! Well I live all kinds of pizza, but this place may have spoiled me forever....I have never been to a pizza place that offered meat free sausage and it was awesome! Friendly and wonderfully prompt service as well! Thanks Pizza Luce'! I cannot wait to return!

I've been to PL twice so far at this location (despite it being on the opposite end of the cities from where I live). The first time it was for a late night slice to go. They have a little slice set-up right as you walk in. It was convenient, easy, and fast. This veggie slice was good too! My second visit was with 5 girlfriends (and one baby) to catch up on life over brunch. The service was great! Our server was able to bring us what we needed without being pushy. We loved that given that we were chatting the entire time. A few of us got the mimosas with various juices and they were all delicious. They all came with delicious (but not fresh squeezed) juice and mini bottle of champagne. It's worth the $6. For food I had the portabella benedict. The portabella was way too salty for me - actually inedible but the rest of it was good. This is why I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars. If you are looking for a new brunch spot, give them a try!

This is a review only for the wings. Love their pizza, but have not had it at this location, I am sure it is first rate pie as usual. However, they tote their wings as award winning and the 24 hour joint down the street clowns them. One star for the building and atmosphere which are very well presented. One star for the sauce that goes on the wings because honestly, the texture appearance and flavor profile of the sauce is pretty stellar. But the greatest sauce in the world cannot save chicken wings that are cooked improperly Chicken wings are small portions of meat wrapped with tendons and veins around bones and thick skin. You aren't cooking breasts or thighs here, you MUST cook them until crispy. Once you do this, the veins and tendons render and the skin turns from a disgusting rubbery case into a crispy texture layer that makes the wing delicious. Being that the meat is on the bone and the entire piece is wrapped in skin, the meat will stay juicy even after it is fully cooked. Seems odd that I have to explain these basics? Well, the wings were the same both times and they were requested to be extra crispy.

Always my go-to pizza place no matter the location. This location is larger than the one in Uptown and usually leads to less wait times. Food is great and reasonably priced. Good beer selection. If you want to be seated right away be sure to arrive early. Great place to have a birthday dinner with friends. Highly reccomended.

This Pizza Luce is BY FAR my favorite location. It's spacious and you can always find a spot at the bar while still having that "neighborhood feel". The pizza is good, it's nice they have several options to customize for health and allergy reasons, yada yada. But what I really love is the muthaf*k#n TAP TUESDAY. They have a great tap variety (25+ taps) and all of them are $3 all day on Tuesdays.

One of my favorite places for pizza in the Twin Cities. Always inventive, the menu is very solid, if somewhat unchanging. Sitting on the patio, drinking a Surly Furious and stuffing my face with pie is definitely a happy place.

It's all about the Wrangler. It's a pizza. You must try it. But don't try a piece of mine, because I will fight you. Seriously. This is only one out of two restaurants that my husband and I can both truly agree on going to. (The other one is Town Hall Tap.) We get the same thing every time. A large Wrangler. It never gets old. It's basically a bbq chicken pizza, but it's so much more - they add mushrooms, banana peppers, house bbq sauce, onions, green peppers... Oh so good. The service we've had at the Richfield Luce has been absolutely perfect - friendly, prompt and efficient. Love it. This new location is actually quite nice inside, it feels a bit more like a "family friendly" restaurant than the other locations I've been to. That said, there's also quite a lot of families here (which is great, if you have kids - it seems like they have coloring stuff, etc available) so it's always quite a lot louder/more full of children than other Luce locations, so don't go expecting a particularly romantic/relaxing dinner. They have a party room in the basement which they use as an "overflow" room sometimes on the weekends - if the host gives you the option of waiting 20 minutes for a table or immediate seating in the basement (she didn't sell this option very well... we asked her if she was taking us to a dungeon based on her description) choose the basement party room! It was quieter and actually quite nice. There was a nice big TV down there too, which they said we could set to whatever we wanted. As other reviewers have noted, they've always got a great beer selection. One downside to this Luce location is the parking. The lot gets full quickly on weekends so you may have to use their valet or hunt down street parking...

Pizza Luce is as good as it gets!! Service is great and the staff is very knowledgeable about what they are selling and they do it all with a smile. The patio is a nice touch. One tip: get there early, it is fast becoming our neighborhood favorite!

This place is our go-to pizza place since moving to the city. Quality ingredients, delicious pizza, reasonable price. We regularly order delivery from the Richfield location, they're always quick and friendly and never mess up the order. Nice to be able to pay and tip via credit card online too. Awesome.

So we are making our way through all of the pizza Luce in town and found ourselves hungry and near this one. So in we went. For a local chain restaurant they are doing it right good servers, good food, and definitely a place I enjoy going to. We have stopped into Pizza Luce on almost every trip. This time it was for a baked goat cheese appetizers followed by the wild mushroom pizza that still tasted great the next day as leftovers. Yes we will be back.

My wife and I have visited the recently opened Richfield Pizza Luce twice since it has opened, once for happy hour and once on a busy Saturday night. I must say, I really enjoy this place. During happy hour many tap pints are only $3, and I believe that deal goes for ALL taps all day on Tuesdays (bonus!). Their wide selection alone makes it worth the visit for me. I have been able to try a number of novel beers, including Abita (New Orleans) which has become one of my new favs. We have tried a few of the menu items, and all have been pretty good and relatively affordable. My favorite thus far has been the vegetable lasagna, although wow it is served too hot. This will definitely be a go-to place for us!

I had an Italian combo hoagie, it was good. The only problems were that the foccacia was toasted too much, and the service could be improved on. I'm sure that these will be corrected soon.

Yum yum! I can't wait to come back here! I loved the tattoo/alternative style of the restaurant and the employees. It had a fun feel to it. My pizza (heirloom tomato special) was super good and the cobbler was amazing! I tried some drink that was fizzy and slightly lime tasting. I don't remember what it was called, but I enjoyed it. They have a nice selection of beers. Service was slightly slow and the food took some time to cook, but it was worth the wait.

Can't say enough about this restaurant and bar. The food is fabulous and reasonably priced. Love the spicy pasta sauce I've been there about a dozen times since its opened- there is something for everyone on the menu and the beer choices are top notch. The service there is outstanding, they always are happy to see you.
