Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

The red sauce alone is worth a trip or a phone order from Jakeeno's. Just the plain pasta with the meat red sauce is wonderful. The meatballs are also pretty tasty with a hint of cayenne in them for a little kick. The chocolate cake is good enough that you kinda want to lick the take out container clean... It's super moist and the whipped cream between the layers is real and oh so tasty... The white sauce is reminiscent of a Michelina's frozen dinner...I think it's wretched business. Avoid at all costs. ***cheeseburger pizza edit! It's so so good. Big slices of bacon and sour little slices of pickles. It's a week's worth of sodium and totally worth it.

I love this place! Great food and thin crust pizza. Very friendly staff. I'm glad I discovered it

We've gotten gluten free pizza now twice for takeout. The ingredients are fresh and the pizzas have been very tasty!! Last time I was in they showed me that they have gluten free beer in bottles now for dine-in. I'm excited to go back and continue sampling their menu!

The husband & I love Jakeenos. Our summers are never complete without several visits for pizza at dusk out on the patio. Everything is fantastic, from toppings to the crust & everything in between. And always an order of garlic cheese toast, of course. This review is only serving to remind me that it has been far too long since we've been here!

WOW! I just moved to South Minneapolis, and knew I had to find my go-to pizza and pasta place. Jakeeno's is it. Hands-down the best pizza i've had, possibly ever. I am so happy that this restaurant is part of my new neighborhood and less than two blocks away! Keep it up Jakeeno's; you just scored a new regular.

How did I forget to review Jakeeno's for months? Probably because I was too stuffed to remember anything. This is the kind of American-style Italian restaurant that you imagine would live in Brooklyn and talk like the Godfather (if a restaurant could talk). Except it's a lot more amicable, and kid-friendly too. The pizzas and the pastas are fairly simple... pasta + meat + sauce + cheese. Maybe a veggie thrown in here or there, at least on the pizzas. Nothing fancy, but everything tastes rich and comforting. The basics that you need to know at Jakeeno's are these... 1. Come good and hungry. 2. Order a pizza fo' sho. 3. Garlic cheese bread. You're gonna want that too. Mmhmm. 4. Maybe also order the lasagna. If you can't finish it all, they'll box it up for you real nice with some extra sauce on the side so it doesn't dry out when you heat it up---hopefully in the oven, not the microwave. What a nice touch with the sauce, huh? If you CAN finish all that, you may wanna get your stomach checked out.

So happy my friend suggested Jakeeno's for dinner tonight. The pizza was great. Crust is thin just the way I like it. Terrific happy hour prices too. The staff was friendly. I'll be eating here again!
(4)Kari L.
How is this place so close to me and I never knew it existed?! Well, because I never drive down Chicago Ave, apparently. I was asking a friend for a pizza suggestion because I hate the weird cheese taste of Carbonnes, Fat Lorenzos is always so undercooked and I didn't know what else was around if I wanted to keep it local. He suggested Jakeeno's and I was very pleased! Prices were a bit on the expensive side, but worth it! I have yet to eat in, but have had their delivery twice and both times it was excellent. This place will get more business from me.

Our family's go-to pizza place! Awesome thin crust pizza plus a good selection of traditional Italian dishes. Small but decent beer and wine list. Really nice staff and pleasant decor. It's been in the same spot being run by same family for decades, but still seems like a hidden gem on the south side.
(5)K. E.
Top notch comfort food. Love the subs, Lasagna, and garlic cheese bread. Also, they have some chocolate cookies at their counter that are great. We're a few blocks from this place and if we have a bad day, this is often where we end up getting take out from to feel a bit better :)
(5)Megan L.
My family has been coming here for years! Great comfort food, friendly staff, awesome happy hours, very family-oriented. I love their marinara sauce (and you can purchase this separately) and their field-greens salad - the dressing on this salad makes it a salad I CRAVE throughout the year. I recommend the pizzas and pastas and garlic-cheese bread.

I went to Jakeeno's for a date night with hubs and it was a complete delight. The restaurant is small-ish so the chatter doesn't get too loud and has all the right makings for good conversation with the person directly across the table. We shared a pizza, which they were nice enough to make half-veggie for me without any fuss. I recommend the green olives on any pizza-delicious! We also had some local beers with dinner and I think I remember there being a decent selection of local craft beers and imports. I got that "quaint date night" feeling when the server checked on us just the right amount of times and didnt try to rush us out with the bill. The pizza was good and based on other reviews, I might try the pasta next time. After dinner was over I saw a sign on another table that they had a "date night special" for that night, including an app, small pizza, and bottle of wine for $30. I sort of wish I had known about it before dinner...

I've usually always went to the Global Market location and have always liked my food. pizza is really good, and their homemade pasta sauce is excellent. Even if I'm not feeling like pizza I'll sometimes come here just to grab some of thier pasta sauce (you can buy it in a jar at the restaraunt).Tonight to celebrate my Aunt's birthday wen't here to the 35th & Chicago location with my Dad and a couple cousins. The first thing that got my attention in a good way was when our 1919 Root Beers were served in Frosty Mugs, myself along with everyone else enjoyed the added refreshment alot. The atmosphere was nice but quite loud, even when the crowds thinned out it was loud. Many of us had ringing in our ears from all the noise. To give you an example how bad it was eventually we were 1 of only 3 tables there and could barely hear ouselves over the other people. I think I'd eat outside instead if space allowed as they have a nice outdoor patio in back. The pizza all tasted good, and this was the first time I'd had thier thin crust as the Global Market sells slices that are of the hand tossed style. I do like their hand tossed style better but this was a good thin crust, if you like a crispier crust which many people do you'll almost definetely like the thin crust here. Though I do prefer Broadway for thin crust pizza however that may be just a matter of taste preference. I like this place but think I'd rather go to the Global Market location instead because of the noise issue. But then you won't find 1919 Root Beer served in ice cold frosty mugs there.

If you have not eaten here, then you have never had Italian. I don't care what you say, you're wrong. I'm not usually so forceful, but I have yet to find better Italian food in Minnesota. It's a tiny little restaurant and a small menu of pasta and pizza. I've heard the pizza is pretty good, but I always get the stuffed shells with meatless sauce. The tomato sauce is the secret to this restaurant. I swear they put something addictive into it. Not only is it one of the most delicious places on the planet, but it's also pretty cheap. You get a lot of food for what you pay and will be taking home leftovers. They also have decent wine. Bonus: They have take out.

We just moved to the area and were yelping when we were hungry for some Italian. This place is just down the street so we thought, bonus! We were pleasantly suprised by the food. Im pretty sure a few times I said to my husband "oh my god, try this!" The red sauce is amazing. The pizza is great. The spaghetti is great. Their hoagies are great. Their garlic bread is great. Also, they have great happy hour specials (although sometimes forget to reflect it on your check - so double check!). Service has been pretty good for the most part. We've had excellent service and we've had decent service. The first time we had the brownie dessert (with added ice cream) it was excellent (warmed up and yummy!), the second time it was just OK - didn't bother warming the brownie and the ice cream was almost too frozen. Last time, no ice cream, so we skipped. (Yes, we are those people that get the same thing every time we go!). Anyway, there havent been many people in there when we go, so I wanted to write a review to let people know its good food. Family friendly and I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed! Even though we've only been here a month and a half, we've been here 3 times... and that's saying quite a bit considering we have so many other options to try! Try it out..

I like the family owned pizza joint vibe going on here.Terrific pizza here! My husband and I stopped in for their late night happy hour and were pleasantly surprised. The place was not very busy since it was after 8PM. We tried the cheese bread as it was one of the appetizer specials and the sauce it comes with is great. We even put it on our pizza. We will be back when we are in the area.

Learning that Jakeeno's delivers has been a life changing experience. Everything is good. Everything is even better with garlic cheese bread. It's good that it's a bit pricey because I'd probably weigh around 900 pounds by now. My go-to order is the Roasted Vegetable Cannelloni with White Butter Cream Sauce.
(4)Mr M.
Great pizza and Italian!
(4)Eric G.
Very cheesy and delicious pizza. Pasta doesn't have much flavor so I would stick with the pizza. The cheesy garlic bread is great! If you like thin crust with lots of toppings, Jakeeno's is the way to go!
(4)Rhonda G.
You don't have to be Italian to make great Italian food. My Irish aunt taught me to make a fabulous lasagne. Owner Jack Keegan is a perfect example, also. I took my Q from Maggie Q. and had the stuffed shells. Served in a large au gratin dish, they are served on top of the red sauce, which has a sweet under taste. I even bought a jar. Basil got the pasta primavera. I don't think there is anything not worth getting here. They offer some homemade treats for sale. I got the bag of mini chocolate chips. Those chips are richer than tollhouse. Basil got this huge brownie. They serve you mints with the check. I'm not about to fix the taste of the great meal I just had. There was no crowd to fight on thurs. An already sweltering day, the AC was perfect, nice and cool. I noticed for lunch they offer pizza by the slice, a dollar menu, and all you can eat spaghetti before 2. I'm definitely checking that out soon.

One of our new favorite restaurants. Everything we've had here has been top notch. Though I'm not much on thin crust pizza, I loved the one we had here. The tomato basil soup was incredible (and I hate tomatoes). The side salad was very fresh and the stuffed shells rank up there with some of the best I've ever had. They serve local sodas to go with the meal (I loved the 1919 root beer and had a pitcher of it). I didn't think I had any room for dessert so we took some homemade cookies to go. They were fantastic too. We spent a bit more than we wanted, but everything I was tasting had my brain screaming, "shut up and take my money!" It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We will definitely make it a point to go out of our way to come here again.

So this is kind of the neckbeard's review because I don't really care about Italian food one way or the other - I mean, I'll eat it, but you're never gonna hear me say "OMIGOD WE NEED TO GET SOME ITALIAN FOOD BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!11!!!". So. Yeah. *Artichoke Dip. They don't fuck around with the artichokes here. Most places give you some artichokes mixed in with a ton of cheese and usually a large quantity of spinach because spinach is cheap, not Jakeeno's. The artichoke dip is 99% artichokes. It almost brought a tear to my eye. Also, if you ask for extra bread for all of the artichokey goodness, they will happily oblige your request free of charge. *Spinach Tortellini with Butter Sauce. This is what I ordered the first time. It was pretty damn good. I'd eat it again. The pasta tasted fresh and it was super cheesy (in a good way, not a dad joke way.). *Greek Pizza. More motherfuckin' artichokes. And whole olives! And feta cheese! I ordered it with the olive oil & garlic sauce instead of the red sauce. So good. Jakeeno's is primarily known for pizza and now I can see why. *Chicken Parmesan. The neckbeard has ordered this twice. Each time he's eaten only half of the food and then woken up somewhere between 2am and 5am and consumed the rest of it...cold. In his pajamas. Making mmmmmm noises in the middle of the night. What in the actual fuck. I've mentioned before how picky he is about Italian food, so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he likes their food. *Meatballs. Somewhat spicy, really tasty - 8/10. Would bang. *Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yisssssssssssssssssssssss. These little bastards are so amazing. They are clearly homemade and make me wonder why I shy away from dessert so much. I want these cookies in my face all of the time. I've eaten them for breakfast with my coffee. They should sell their recipe to the Girl Scouts - I would buy all of them. According to the neckbeard, Jakeeno's is a must. According to me, they're pretty fucking great - for Italian food. I figure that's probably high praise from someone who doesn't even like Italian food.

For me pizza is all about the taste of the sauce and crust. I love the pizza here because they do both of these things very well. Crispy thin crust and tasty sauce. They have been at this location since 1975. $15 for a 13" specialty pizza is a great deal and more than enough for 2 people. Their garlic cheese bread is really really good too. They have a lot of great craft beers on tap: foulton, Deschutes...etc I need to go here more. Great pizza joint with good beer.
(4)Laurel L.
I am so MAD. I am officially done with this place. Done. In the past, I've suffered through their plain, bland, over priced pizzas, and I've been silent. But I'm through with that. My family was ordering food from Jakeeno's and asked if I wanted anything, at first I declined, but then I heard there was cheesecake- oreo cheesecake. For 2.99, I jumped at the chance! I love cheesecake and I love oreos and I thought, "well, I've never had their dessert before!" And decided to go for it. 45 minutes later, my excitement turned to disappointment when I saw the size of it. It was about 6-7 inches long and 2 inches wide (at it's widest point). I paid 3 bucks for the smallest piece of cheesecake ever? Really? So not only is their bland pizza way over priced, but they charge a fortune for the tiniest horderve sized cheesecake. Not ever giving my money to this place again.
(1)Louisa A.
One of my favorite neighborhood spots. Their House Special Pizza is one of my favorite delivery items, and their new online ordering system is really convenient; they'll even deliver 1919 Root Beer by the liter! When dining in, I have tried and loved several of their dishes (including the Chicken Parmesan- order it with white sauce for a twist), but the Lasagne is my absolute favorite. Jakeeno's sauce is out of this world. All entrees are served with fresh soft bread and oil. The servers and delivery people are wonderful and helpful as well; if you're looking to be treated like family and eat like you're at home- this is the place.
(5)Alberto C.
Wings were pretty good not da best and the pizza I'm from Chicago and I wish they didn't have put so much oil to cook it.. was flavorful but little to oily for my taste
(3)Gina B.
We love this place and highly recommend to anyone looking for good pizza, nice beer selection and family friendly. We love their pepperoni green olive pizza special especially. Reasonably priced and great service. Definitely a favorite of ours!
(5)Ken W.
Old school pizza at its finest!! Love Jakeeno's Pizza!! Have only ever eaten in restaurant once. Good experience! Clean restaurant, friendly staff (and owner) and quick. Have ordered take out many times! Don't forget to buy a jar or two of their spaghetti sauce to take home. Definitely my favorite sauce out of the jar!!!
(4)Jessica A.
This is another one of our local neighborhood stops. They have some real good daily specials - - like on Mondays, I think the Spaghetti is all-you-can-eat for a good price. Service is always friendly. They actually go out of their way to help you. Our last visit, the server brought some extra meat sauce so that when I warmed up my pasta the sauce wouldn't be too dry. (Who does that? No one... nice touch!) And the restaurant is usually busy when we visit, but there's always a table or two open. j The garlic cheese bread is usually a must order for us. (Even though I think the pastas come with bread too - ha!) Yeah, we're usually so stuffed when we're done wit our meal we never even get to try the dessert. Casual spot... great food... great service!
(4)Melissa S.
Yummmm! Simple comfort food at it's best!! We stopped in on a Sunday night to get food to go, and ordered beers while we waited. I ordered stuffed shells in meatless sauce, and Guy got the chicken parmesan. We both loved the food. Their sauce is amazing--the tomatoes are very well pureed so the sauce is not chunky (I hate that), but it's still thick and not watery, and the balance of flavors is just perfect. I noticed they sell their sauce in jars, and I might pick some up the next time we're there. This is totally the type of place to come to when you just want something cozy, comforting and carb-ilicious to eat. We'd had a busy weekend so it was great to take our food home, settle into our pj's and just pig out. :) Looking forward to eating at this neighborhood, family-owned joint more often. I see they have Date Night on Thursdays, which includes an appetizer, pizza or two entrees, dessert and bottle of wine for $35, so we'll definitely be checking that out soon.
(5)Anjali M.
Well, I was a little skeptical of this place due to the area and surprisingly low prices. However, I was proven wrong almost immediately. The service was great and the lunch menu was decent. I had a ziti/pasta bake and it was served straight from the oven in an individual dish. Bread and a side of choice also came with my lunch meal. I'd definitely recommend this Italian place to anyone in the area!
(5)Tyler D.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff and good food. The pizzas we have had to date have had fresh ingredients. They are Midwestern style with square slices. They have classic pizza's as well as some unique ones. The atmosphere inside is pleasant; a considerable contrast to the exterior. I recomend a visit.
(4)Daphne D.
Jakeenos used to have the best delivered salads in town. But now they have started throwing cooked cherry tomatoes on them and it's very unappetizing. Off putting to see oiled, charred, slippery cooked veg on top of an otherwise fresh lettuce salad. :-( what a bummer.
(1)Maggie K.
Our go-to for delivery! Excellent thin crust, they don't skimp on the cheese, plus great vegetarian options! Bit pricey, however--one large pizza came to $30, before tip. Yikes.
(4)Marcus L.
Solid Italian food with gluten free options. Cute patio in summer. Real neighborhood place. Love it.
(4)Fiona R.
One of our absolute favorite neighborhood haunts! Great deals almost every night of the week, and friendly and attentive service. Their Italian sausage hoagie is absolutely to die for, but we haven't had anything there we haven't loved. (And definitely don't forget to get some garlic cheese toast while you wait. Nom nom!)
(5)Athena J.
Wow! Super awesome! They work with my school and always give us a great deal, even on short notice! I eat here as often as possible and the owner is kindest, most generous man you'll ever meet! Definitely recommend.
(5)Matthew K.
In any review of a pizza place, genre and style must be accounted for. I can't say that I'm a big fan of this style of pizza (I'm going to call it "Minnesota Style" because I've really only encountered it in a handful of ma and pa pizza shops in this great state). Its that super-thin but chewy crust cut up rectangle-y. Though I like a chewy crust, I find the inner pieces are simply too soggy: so its not my favorite style. That said, Jakeeno's makes a fine pizza that I certainly won't refuse. Good sauce. Quality toppings. Good cheese. On occasion, the edges get a little burnt and the dough isn't the best I've ever had... but its still a good pie. Never had a problem with service. I've not yet dined in, but peeking around while getting carry-out I see that the interior is simple but charming. Pizza is solid. With quality ingredients, I'd expect the other menu items to be good too.
(4)BK J.
Had to feed the mother-out-of-law tonight (translation: my partner's mother who I can't marry due to arcane MN laws). She is now living with my sister-out-of-law who is gluten intolerant but not available to join us for the evening. I went in to Jakeeno's and ordered the pizza to go. It took about 15 minutes for the pizza to be done. Got the pizza and drove 10 blocks back for the feast. The first piece from the outside of the pizza was wonderful, crisp crust, tasty sauce and substantial toppings. A taste of the way pizza should be. The next piece however, was not as satisfying. Jakeenos slices a pie into small rectangles, not wedges. Every interior piece was extremely soggy, probably from coming in to contact with the sauce after slicing and being toted out the front door of the restaurant. A pizza that should have been 8 or 12 wedges was hacked into 30 or 36 pieces, most of which were soggy by the time they were consumed. The ingredients used here are great quality. The method used to cut up the final pie leaves much to be desired, especially if the pizza is to go or being delivered. The next time I give Jakeenos a try I will request a traditional wedge slicing of the pizza and see if that makes a difference. If not, that will be my last trip to this place.
(3)Margaret O.
My favorite pizza place ever. 1919 Root Beer major plus, and the starter salad is to die for with a light delicious vinaigrette and walnuts. Plethora of pizza choices and my favorite is the olive oil garlic sauce with green and calamatta olives plus spinach or artichoke hearts (my creation out of the make your own option). Crust is thin, flaky and perfect. But most of all it's the olive oil sauce that does it for me. True Italiano style pizzeria!
(5)Kate H.
I have been here multiple times with big groups of 8+ and the service is always quick and efficient. The meals are always hot. I love the signature pizza options they have on the menu. Servers are friendly and have never screwed up an order for me. Highly recommend for groups and delicious pizza. Make sure to go on Wednesdays to get your free cheese pizza!
(5)jeffrey n.
I love this place! They aren't exactly authentic Italian however, it reminds me of Italian restaurants from the 70's with an updated interior, it's good quality and great portions make it a must-try destination. Their spaghetti with meat sauce is the best I've ever had in any restaurant and the garlic cheese bread rocks! The wait staff is always fun and über cool! Well worth the drive for a once a month visit! (buy the pasta sauce in a jar to get the "at home" Jakeeno's experience)
(4)Steve B.
I have been eating here for years and still enjoy it every visit. It's a small restaurant with a good selection on it's menu. My favorite item is the spaghetti with meat sauce. You have the option of adding meatball / italian sausage. Last time I went was a Monday night where the special was spaghetti, salad, and warm bread for $7.49. Can't go wrong with that. Good prices and tasty food.
(5)A P.
Have never dined in, only ordered delivery. Pizza is excellent, but quite pricey. They do a nice thinner style crust.
(4)R M.
These guys are great! I get a craving just thinking about it!
(5)Adam F.
Nice place to eat. Has a real neighborhood feel to it. Staff is always incredibly friendly. Pizza is always a good choice. Tried pasta for the first time. Had the chicken parm. I'm a fan of the thin spaghetti I comes with. Upgrade to the cheese bread for a couple bucks and you get some huge pieces of garlic cheese bread. Nice patio on the back for summer time too. Check out Thursday date night. If you're single, go for it. Ask that person you were thinking about asking out and bring them here.
(4)Karen S.
If their garlic provolone cheese toast was featured prominently on the food pyramid, I would be the healthiest eater on the planet, but alas, I still have to eat veggies and other healthy stuff. Lucky that the baby green salad is very tasty, and their pizza is fine, with a flavorful sauce and thin, crispy crust. Just tried the homemade brownie for the first time tonight, and it was very good. Looks like a cute place for dinner, but we've always gotten carry-out. Cute, local spot!
(3)Jason E.
With Jakeeno's only a couple blocks from where I live I've probably consumed close to a hundred of their pizzas. My favorite is the pepperoni with extra cheese. I always have them cook it well done and it always hits the spot... Crust thin but not too thin and their sauce is really fresh. I'd also recommend the chicken parm AND meatball sandwiches.
(5)Molly B.
The staff here is so great. We came in and told them we were in a hurry and they told us exactly what would be fast. It was out in less than 5 minutes and was hot. We had the meatball sliders and spaghetti. The bread and oil is great including the bread on the sliders. The meatballs and sauce weren't amazing but were still good. They have an outdoor dining area and things for kids to play with.
(5)Babs J.
Delighted and surprised by the bacon tomato pizza! Yum. Loved the crispy crusty edges. Perfect for a hungry night when you just want to get a pizza for take out.
(4)Terese G.
Love the red sauce, the tiny patio, and the simple, but happiness inducing, pizzas and pastas. They make a great house salad too. It is the perfect neighborhood joint--consistently satisfying and welcoming.
(4)Christina M.
We order pizza for delivery from here sometimes and it's okay. Jakeeno's has your basic type of pizza - a little too greasy, sort of bland, but still better than frozen. It's not terribly expensive, which is nice. Good for kids or large groups probably. But if you're ordering pizza for a small group of friends (who aren't frat boys or teenagers) or are treating yourself, I would just as soon order something like Pizza Luce which is a little fancier/more flavorful overall.
(3)Jackie R.
I'm in the worst location for food delivery. Somehow I am 3 blocks out of like 5 places delivery areas. I thought Carbones was it and then remembered Jakeeno's wasn't too far away. I give them 3 for the pizza, I will probably stick to Carbones for that, but the pasta definitely deserves a 5. I ordered the stuffed shells with red sauce and even though it's one of the few things I can actually cook myself I will definitely go back to Jakeeno's. I can't wait to try their other offerings and the white butter sauce.
