Ordered delivery yesterday for the first time after finding menus in my mail room and was pleasantly surprised. The food was nothing exceptional, standard chinese delivery fare, not bad, not great. That's ok, I was not expecting more certainly from a place with the standard chinese fast food menu and zero pretense. What was very nice about this place, in contrast to other asian food delivery places I have experienced, was: #1 extremely efficient phone person, spoke very clear English, understood everything I said, and repeated it, then repeated the whole order at the end to ensure it was correct. Other places I have ordered from screw something up in the order at least 80% of the time, no screwups here, this time. #2 Said they'd arrive in 30 minutes and they pretty much did, again other places have been 60-120 minutes usually. #3 Food is very cheap and you get a lot, total bill for 2 people with at least 2 meals worth of food and soup etc. was less than ordering a pizza these days (about $20+ tip.) #4 Food arrived hot with sauces, utensils, etc. in a bag with plastic on outside and no sauces dripping all over the place, another common issue with other places. (No spicy mustard though but it seems that is not very common in Minnesota Chinese places anyway?)

Thank you Great Dragon, for when I was hungry, you saw fit to feed me; cheap and quickly.

Ordered delivery. Not good. The order was correct, the food was hot, delivery was quick. That all should have made this a good night. No. The food broke the deal. Nasty pancake fried shrimp, bad fried rice, bad Egg Rolls, so-so Kung-Pao.

I dont like rice and Im not a fan of chinease food, but I keep trying anyway, The pork was fine, the chicken was plain, the vegetables were forgetable. Although very tasty, the rib tips were mostly bone but the whole affair was under twenty bucks, and it was delivered on time so who am I to gripe... Actually, I cant think of any specific complaints, Its just utterly unremarkable food. I give it three stars becuase they are exactly what they present themselves to be, and thats cheap chinease delivery. I guess the delivery guy was nice and polite too, he gave me a bamboo calender with their menu on it.. I wish the food was as creative as their marketing tools.....Yawn...

This is the spot when you have a had a long day at work and you just want to relax in your casa and eat some good grub. Next I pick up the phone and call the Great Dragon and order my favorite. Chinese Chicken with mixed vegetables and white sauce. Carrots, Broccoli, snowpeads, celery and mushrooms. Amazing, Healthy and reasonable. Usually I get the call to come downstairs from a 917, 312 area code. it makes me feel like im in New York or chicago.

Decent food. (It's delivery Chinese, it's not magic. But it hits the spot.) Good value for the money. Shows up quickly. I love the online ordering and online paying options. (When I want delivery Chinese I don't actually want to talk to anyone, and this system works wonders in that vein.) I'm a regular customer.

We recently moved to the area and in a scramble to figure out something for dinner, we stumbled upon Great Dragon. I was very impressed with how quickly our food arrived, however, definitely not impressed with what we received. We ordered the "Seafood Combination" and the "Shrimp Lo Mein." All of the seafood, especially the scallops, tasted like it was not fresh. I have found myself wishing that I would have checked Yelp prior to ordering as the other reviews are very telling to their food quality. We also got free egg rolls which tasted normal, so that is a definite plus. Maybe its just their seafood that is a problem?

The driver would 100% insult costumer if you don't give enough tip or not cash tip. When I say insult I mean real insult, old Chinese guy would say "fuck you" in a stupid accent. When I called to the store they simply said ok. Then they send him again. Gave me a dirty look even with a tip. That bitter pathetic little tiny man should not be alow to talk to people let alone delivery food. Go ahead and order if you need a loser to fuck you.

Drivers complain about the tip not being big enough... Maybe they should ask their manager to increase their wages instead of complaining to the customer that makes their business what it is. Never will order again and have never felt so insulted by a delivery driver.

My family and I didn't want to travel and so we got delivery. That part weeks well, but the food was sub par. I got cold noodles and they were covered with what tasted like and had the consistency of peanut butter. The portions were very generous and price was very inexpensive. But the quality wasn't worth it.

The only positive thing I can say is that the delivery was quick. The online ordering system was clunky. I didn't get the correct items, and when I called the restaurant the woman argued with me and didn't do anything to correct the situation. The food tastes mediocre - even though we have plenty of leftovers, I can't imagine how unappealing they'll be tomorrow, so I'm hoping my dog will eat them.

Echoing other people's reviews, Great Dragon is not "Great" flavor-wise...don't expect your orange chicken to be made with free-range poultry and freshly squeezed orange. You know it's coming from a commercial, automated, lifeless facility and delivered to Great Dragon in a vacuum-sealed, frozen bag. Get real, people; this is your $6.50-for-2-lbs.-of-food type of Chinese restaurant, not PF Chang's. Although, quality-wise, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I suppose that's a compliment to both restaurants. Thankfully, Great Dragon is able to coax (or is it coat?) some decent flavors from their dishes, and they deliver it to you super fast and super hot, too. The people who take your order are very efficient and have good hearing (which is more than I can say for another delivery experience I've had in the Twin Cities), and they care to repeat your order to make sure they have it right. I don't believe they've given me ETAs for the delivery, but they almost always come under half an hour. I'm tempted to try other dishes, but ultimately choose between General Tso's, Orange Chicken, and Sesame Chicken. Again, your typical Americanized Chinese fare with a side (actually an entire meal) of fried rice and an egg roll. I would advise nibbling on the eggroll first versus devouring the whole thing. Unlike the other parts of the meal that are doused in sauce, the egg roll can sometimes taste a lot like the oil it was cooked in, which is not appealing. Otherwise, Great Dragon's phone number is a good one to have on your contact list, for those lazy weeknights when all you wanna do is eat good-tasting, cheap Chinese food that's delivered fast with a smile and a fortune cookie. And lots and lots of duck sauce.

We ordered Chinese from Great Dragon last week, and were supremely disappointed. Unfamiliar with most of the metro area's Chinese joints (we prefer Indian takeout), we decided to give the GD a shot. I ordered potstickers, cream cheese puffs and chicken teriyaki, while my dining partner ordered sesame chicken. The potstickers and cheese puffs were average, at least not disgusting. The teriyaki and sesame chicken were seriously so gross and mushy we threw them both away. Luckily it was cheap, but I'm calling it Not-So-Great Dragon in my head so I don't make the mistake of ordering from here again. Sick, sick, sick, gross food.

I love this place. It's not great, it's not bad, but it is cheap and serviceable. They deliver, they always get the order right, and they're much cheaper than, say, Ping's. Give it a try. If your expectations aren't too high, you'll like it!

So sadly disappointing. After a tremendously positive review from one of my friends, I dragged my not-such-a-fan-of-Chinese bf to this location. The veggies and nuts were soggy and bland. The place appeared to be rather busy so I am not sure why the food was apparently sitting around in its own juices for an extended duration. It goes without saying that this experience didn't entice the bf to continue on my quest to find decent Moo Shu in Minneapolis. Anyhoo, for someone who rarely throws food out, I forced down about 1/2 of our entrees and pitched the rest.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
