Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Run of the mill Chinese/Anmerican buffet. Reasonable prices. Take out is OK.

Cheap, chinese buffet. It's everything you'd expect. Faded glowing, Chinese landscapes, a desert buffet and a Chinese buffet, all the typical selections, strip mall location. $7 all-you-can-eat lunches until 3 PM. Nasty heartburn afterward.

Meeeh. We've desperately been trying to find a decent chinese/american place near us for when the mood strikes us, and have yet to do so after come to Great Dragon Buffet. We ordered take out, and had a small struggle to locate the actual building because it is in a strip mall, but has no signs identifying the place. We both ordered lo mein, roast pork and shrimp, 2 egg rolls, and chicken fried rice. The lo mein had a weird smell and taste. I wouldn't say it smelled like a barnyard like Andy G. said, but more of a sweet spice? We couldn't put our finger on it. Luke said it smelled and tasted like a shoe store. I thought mine was more of a nutmeg or something, which was strange for my lo mein. The shrimp was over cooked and mushy, so i avoided those. My cat liked it though. The egg rolls were not very good. Probably something that came out of the freezer and sat in the buffet pan all day. The fried rice was actually the better item we got, even though it was that weird yellow "fried" rice. I think it is extremely strange that my fried rice would be yellow, but it did taste okay. All and all, we won't be back again. The portions were generous and we had a little coupon that came in the mail, so our bill was only $20, but the strangeness to everything turned us off and was pretty disappointing, even for a low grade chinese buffet from the strip mall.

Pretty much inedible unless you love a lot of greasy deep fried batter. I was hankering some cheap Chinese takeout. So I ordered up some sweet and sour chicken(super dry, over battered and extremely greasy) Their Jumbo shrimp(biggest joke ever and I wish I would've taken a picture. The shrimp was far from jumbo but there was sooooo much batter it looked like a small shoe)...This was nasty. I also ordered anegg roll. I don't know wtf they put in it but it was by far the worst egg roll i have ever tried. I make them at home and really appreciate what I make now. So for 12 bucks I received some pretty gross food that I couldn't eat. Partially my fault for ordering when there was 2 people in the place and I should have been more selective when ordering. ie:no deep fried food but that's half the allure to eating American Chinese food. Never again.

Pork Fried Rice - Yum!! I went to Great Dragon for years, but haven't been there in a while. Now, I realize what has been missing from my life - more pork fried rice!! The buffet is reasonable priced at both lunch and dinner. I would not call my self a Chinese buffet aficionado, but I've eaten my share of Chinese at buffets, and I realize how good this place really is. I love the egg rolls, coconut chicken, szechuan chicken, and obviously the pork fried rice. I've gotten take out in the past and I do not recommend it. It's not made to order, it's just taken from the buffet. Great Dragon = great food!

Food is great and always hot and ready to eat. My family and I eat there when we are craving Chinese food.

So Yelp calls 2 stars "Meh. I've experienced better" and that pretty much sums it up. It's tempting to round up to 3 because the staff there is friendly but meh. I tried them for the first time tonight. Got the Kung Pao Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, and House Special Fried Rice, all to go. You get a TON of food. Considering the chicken and the beef both come with their own steamed rice...this is probably enough for at least 4 meals. The food quality is just 'ok' though. Nothing special about it. The Beef & Broccoli was the best of the 3, but even it was just ok. The beef wasn't especially good or especially bad. The broccoli was probably the highlight of this meal. I live closeby, so I may go back again if I really feel like Chinese food one night, but I don't see myself going out of my way to visit this place again.

Super cheap and exactly what you want when craving that sticky chicken nugget kind of Chinese food. On the weekends they buffet is ~$5, all you can eat. If you live near by, this is a great place to get your fix on that kind of Chinese food we all love but are ashamed to admit.

Had a hankering for low grade Chinese this morning after perusing Yelp, so I grabbed a couple coworkers and we checked this place out for lunch. Seven bucks a person with beverage and the oh so authentic soft serve ice cream. Not a bad deal. Variety was pretty good and it gave me heartburn per usual. What made we want to immediately Yelp this place after returning to the office is something I've never experienced before. I'm a huge fan of hot and sour soup so obviously I tried their version of it. The taste was alright (I've had better) but the smell is what got me. I shit you not, it smelled like the cow barn at the state fair. I sniffed it several times and even had the rest at my table smell it and they agreed. Nothing says yummy like soup that smells like cow shit!

Chinese buffets are never bastions of exellent food, but this place gets the price right. The food is what it is... cheap Chinese food, but this place gets pretty packed.
