Wow SO DISAPPOINTING!!! Four friends and I ordered FOUR tubs of the General Tso's Dinner Special Combo and barely finished ONE. I mean, what kind of place...wait a minute. Is this even on Chang's? We could have just as easily only ordered the amount of food we needed. But then, restraint has never been my forte. It's like in high school when Paulette Sussman gave me a hand job under the bleachers and made me promise not to tell anyone. By 6th period I'd already told half the Junior class and lost myself a prom date in the process. I could go back further to the beanie baby years (I'll spare you) and hell, even to my current throw pillow obsession. God, this is so typically me! Chang's was just doing what my friends and I asked, it's not on them to account for our recklessness. And don't get me started on my friends. Raphael with his halitosis, Cindy with her incessant Modern Family references. It's no wonder we so royally fucked up the order. In hindsight, Chang's Garden was the only life raft in the sea of mediocrity that is me and my fellow failures. Thank you for the chicken Chang's. More importantly, thank you for providing me a venue for some much needed self-reflection.

I still stand firm on my original review. I do not have extremely high standards. I just don't like rotten food. I think its crazy how one person got so offended by my opinion they went out of their way to message me personally and tell me how fat I am. Get a life Joshua!my review will stay at 1 star since I have not gone back since that day.

At the time of writing this, there is only 1 review for this place at 1 star. I'm appalled. I've gone here a few times now and it's very, very good, especially given the price. For $6.95-7.35 (depending on the entree), you get a sizable amount of whatever entree you get, pork or chicken fried rice, and an eggroll. I'm a cow of an eater and it easily stretches into two satisfying meals. For $7. C'mon. The General Tso's is among the best I've ever had. The chicken is crispy and the sauce is very flavorful. Most of the time I find this kind of sauce to be overwhelmingly soy/salty tasting and not much else, but this one was very flavorful and not salty in an unpalatable manner. The fried rice is also really quite good - it's not just simply soy sauce mixed with rice like so many fried rice dishes are. Lots of flavor there. I can't believe someone compared it to mop water - they either have the most ridiculous standards for fried rice, or they went on a bad day. The egg roll was very fresh, crispy, and quite good. A little on the small side, but the portion size of the main meal is so large that it is hardly worth mentioning. I should also point out that this place is cash only, no cards. All in all, some of the better takeout chinese that I've had in a while, and all for about $7/two meals. Very, very worth it, and it just became my regular place for takeout.

This is the best Chinese food resturant in the state of Minnesota. When you go there I would suggest ordering the General Tso chicken.. It is mouth watering and delicious. Don't listen to the Samantha woman who also commented she does not know what she's saying, believe me it's amazing!

I'm a fan! I was skeptical when I first saw the paper menu left at my apartment doorstep, but was starving, craving Asian (Chinese to be specific), and didn't want to think. So I called them up, was happy to hear that I could communicate in Chinese since I didn't know the english equivalent of what I was looking for. They have a lady (who speaks Chinese) and a guy who speaks English, although they both speak English. I've ordered from this place a couple times now, all for delivery, so I can't vouch for the dine-in experience. But I've ordered the steamed dumplings (8 big dumplings in an order for $5.50) both times, both times they were very good. If you're looking for a more tender, thin skin, this is not that type of dumpling. This restaurant has the thick-skinned, possibly hand-made kind. But the meat wrapped inside is very tasty, juicy, and flavorful, as is the garlicky soy sauce that they give it to you to eat with. I've also ordered the Hunan Chicken ($8.25) and the Chicken with Garlic Sauce ($8.25). If you don't get the dinner special combo, it comes with rice and the quantity of food is pretty hefty. You certainly cannot finish one in a sitting - I barely look like I've made a dent. I like the Chicken with Garlic Sauce more - I don't know how to describe it, but the flavor is a sweet spicy and pairs perfectly with white rice. The Hunan Chicken (black bean sauce?) is still good, has some kick to it. I also ordered the Mixed Chinese Vegetable ($6.95) which has a huge variety of veggies in it (broccoli, bamboo shoots, chestnuts, carrots) was YUM. Yes, the sauce they serve here is going to be a little high on the corn starch, but honestly it makes sure that all the ingredients are coated with the sauce. I'm definitely going to order more from this place - it's a reliable, quick delivery place. Both times I received my order within 15 minutes of placing it. NOTE: THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF $15 AND IS CASH ONLY (not sure about in their store).

Here's the deal. They have pretty decent food. The sesame chicken and the chicken lo mein are good. BUT the lady that answers the phone and takes orders speaks very poor English and UPCHARGES you on your order. A meal that should have been around $15 came out to be $19. She crossed out prices on the menu and rewrote what she thought I should pay. Even the delivery guy couldn't explain it. Even though its good food and very convenient I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
