Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I LOVE this place. Years back I only lived a few blocks from this place and would frequent it quite a bit as we had a buddy who worked there...anyway, the food is phenomenal. My staple was always their sandwich "Hot B.J's", I know, I know, quite a name. Always entertaining when you tell someone that you're going to get a Hot BJ or tell someone else you're going to get them a HOT BJ, lol. Ok, juvenile jokes aside, this sandwich is the best. It's breaded chicken, pizza sauce, garlic butter, and mozzarella on a toasted hoagie. Get it. Now. I am actually going to call ahead in a few minutes and get this for lunch today...lol. Anyway, their pizza is also pretty great. My personal favorite is to "build your own" and go with cheddar, broccoli, chicken, and bacon. So good. Pro Tip: If you're ever in the area for the Bryn Mawr Festival of Garage Sales (which you should be, first weekend of May every year! because it's AMAZING), this place has a food truck outside selling hot slices of pizza (along with other food trucks and fun activities in between garage sale-ing...) Do it. You won't regret it. It's the best neighborhood sale event in the cities, they make a whole big thing of it and I try to go every year. Great finds!

Do you like real pizza made by real people? Do you want to have a delicious meal without having to spend a paycheck? This is your place. The closest thing to a greasy Brooklyn hole in the wall joint this side of the Mississippi. The pies are to die for (vegetarians should try the Plapo-goat cheese, spinach and walnuts), the sandwiches are filling and cheap, and the atmosphere couldn't be better. The place is family owned and operated by some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Next time you think about going to Luce or calling Pizza Hut, do yourself a favor and call the Bryn Mawr Deli.

While on my way to Cuppa Java, I noticed Bryn Mawr Pizza & Deli across the street and decided to visit there instead. This tiny nook serves up, as the name implies, pizzas as well as hoagies, baked goods, and the like. I ordered one slice rotating on one of those spinning glass heater things and a meatball hoagie. And, to the reader, I have no shame, because I didn't eat that day at all and totally craved massive amounts of carbs. #ilovemeatriptocarbcity *Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza: While the cheese and meats were fine, I had a truly inedible crust and sadly had to throw it away. Was that slice sitting out too long and getting baked to hell? Probably. It's just so sad, because I'm one of those crazy folks that likes eating the crust and hates to waste food. (I come from a refugee family.) I hope they make some adjustments, yo. *Meatball Hoagie: This meaty and tomato-y goodness definitely hit the spot, and I loved that slight kick at the end. It made my late afternoon lunch a bit more satisfying after chowing that slice. It's also worth mentioning that a gigantic graffiti mural resides inside and reaches the ceiling with the words "Bryn Mawr Pizza." Peeps, like myself, can appreciate this hip-hop hotness. Props! I'm not in a hurry to give this place another try, but I definitely would be open to trying something else there in the future.

I had some pizzas delivered last night for a wii party at a friend's home in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood. We ordered cheese bread, a pepperoni pizza and a specialty feta cheese, garlic, pine nuts and roasted tomatoes. The pizza arrived in about a half hour, which was quite a bit quicker than I would have expected. I wasn't really impressed with the pizza, but can't say why, just personal taste I guess. Everyone else seemed to like it though. I thought the pepperoni pizza was pretty generic tasting. It didn't taste much different than a Pizza Hut or Little Caesar's pizza. The cheese bread was good. It hit the trifecta of cheese bread: chewy, buttery and cheesy, but the dipping sauce was bland. The best option was the specialty pizza. I prefer a traditional style of pizza, so I wouldn't really call this pizza, but it was an interesting treat. The toppings mixed well together. The cheese was a little strong, but it countered the sweet tomatoes. I don't think I'd come here again for a traditional pizza, but if I'm in the area again, they have quite a few other interesting "pizzas" that I would like to try.

I wanted to try a new pizza joing and have always noticed Bryn Mawr Pizza when I frequent Cuppa Java. I must stay i was more impressed that i thought i would be. Great sauce- you can really taste the olive oil and wine in it. High quality pepperoni that presents as crispy vs. the fat drenched ones a lot of pizza joints use. The thin crust was cooked well and crispy on the bottom yet slightly soft under the toppings (i can't stand when you order a thin crust pizza and it's still doughy and undercooked) This pizza place has thin crust done just right. Service was great. friendly over the phone and a smile on the cashiers face when we walked it. I noticed a cooler case with some fantastic looking cookies, bars, cheesecakes and other various delights. I most certainly will come back here again, perhaps for lunch and try one of their soups or salads. Very glad i gave this place a try.

This place is alright. It says "Fast Freddys" on the outside so I actually had a heck of a time figuring out it was Bryn Mawr Pizza & Deli. Not that hard of a time but still. Pretty good food. The salads are a great size and the sandwiches are very tasty! I like when they pick what you will have on the sandwich. I think that is called the Dougie. The pizzas are great too! Not fast but good.

The sandwiches were fine, the service was pretty poor, but the kicker was that it took 25+ minutes to make one sandwich and fries. I ordered a Roachel, which is a toasted sandwich with ham pepperoni and cheese. The guy said it would be done in about 20 minutes, and there was one other person in the place ordering a slice of pizza. 25 minutes later it was done. That's pretty aggressive to make one sandwich when they didn't seem to be busy during lunch hour. Then again, who knows, maybe they were slammed, and I'm an asshole. I guess we'll never know...

After consistently ordering sandwiches here, I finally tried some pizza. I dropped by here with my fiance before catching a movie at the West End. We ordered a half sausage and pepperoni and half cheese. The pizza came out after a short wait and we settled into our table in their shoebox space. The pizza was tasty and just the right size for the snack we were looking for. When I come back here again, I'll have to make a difficult decision about whether to get a sandwich or a pizza. I used to get sandwiches, and ignorance was bliss. Now I'll just have to wish that I had a huger stomach.

The pizza I had was better than 'meh' but not quite 'A-OK.' I'd say it was ok. A few things I like...it's a mom and pop establishment...who doesn't like supporting the locals. I also liked how fresh it was (granted, i ordered it then they made it,so it better be fresh). What really threw me off was the crust. To me, the difference between a good pizza and an ok pizza was the crust. I don't know if they make their own crust (my guess would be no). But this crust was not particularly good at all. I did like the cheese, toppings, and sauce. Service was pretty non existent. I dont expect them to be hovering at this type of order at the counter place. But with pizza, something to drink is pretty much required. Even though I only wanted a tap water, I shouldnt have to ask 3 times.

I know the neighborhood is a little out of the way, but this is one damn good pizza pie. The one that I tried had a nice soft, almost NY style crust, not to thick and not to thin. We tried the chicken pizza with feta and olives, very, very good! This is the place I wished I lived closer to or that they delivered farther out but it would be worth the drive. I do believe they sell by the slice as well. Must remember to call ahead and drop by on my way from Minneapolis visits headed back to the pizza death of the western suburbs! Very few things beat a good slice of Pizza! KT

As longtime Bryn Mawrians, We keep trying this neighborhood pizza joint. I so want to love it! I want to have a place that I can walk to or quickly order from and get decent pizza. Alas, each time we order pizza (and we usually get a simple pizza, like just cheese and sauce or sausage) we end up with," let's not do that again". Why? 1) the crust is card boardey. this last pizza was reminiscent of a frozen tombstone pizza, but not as tasty. Too thick, soft... This is interesting, because we often buy uncooked dough from fast Freddie's, and cook it in our own oven, with the pizza stone, and it's absolutely delicious. Perhaps too much dough for that specific diameter of pizza. 2) The sauce is bland... Go on, and throw in some oregano, some garlic!. On the other hand...We also have the sandwiches, and they are quite good. The salads too. It will probably be another year, and then we will give in, hoping and praying for the pizza to improve.

The Plapo and Rosemary Bianca pizzas are phenomenal- who knew walnuts on pizza could be so great?? Dangerously close to home...

I hate to say it, but a horrible customer service experience has turned me off, and I will not return. We had frequented BMP since we moved to the neighborhood, and their pizza and food is pretty good. Prices are average, and the quality is on part with most other similar locations. This being in our neighborhood we chose to support is and frequented it quite often. Unfortunately, we stopped in one night to get a couple of dessert snacks while walking through the neighborhood. The staff was busy in back, and it took a couple minutes for a young guy to come wait on us at the register. He was obviously stressed, and said "What do you want?". We ordered two of the dessert bars, and when he handed them to us one was half the size of the other, and an over-cooked corner piece. When we asked if we could have a different one, he responded by saying "They're cut how they're cut, and you get what you get." If a 17 year old boy can't handle his job making pizza and feels it necessary to treat a customer that way, he's in the wrong business. If a business continues to employ a person like that it obviously doesn't value its customers.

I have been eating their pizza for three years, and every pizza and order has been excellent. I recently branched out and tried their soup which is what finally made me write them a review! Somebody with mad skills in the kitchen makes their soups and salad dressings! Its great to get a perfectly executed classic pizza and yet satisfy the other half of the household with excellent salads and soups. Our family from various places around the twin cities all remark at lucky we are to have this place in our neighborhood. They recently improved the dining area so you can sit and eat instead of only take out. My only suggestion would be to expand your menu of specialty pizzas, preferably designed by the same person making your soups!

De-Freakin-Licious sandwiches!!! If you are feeling like you want to eat Quizno's, Subway, or Davanni's - DON'T! Go here instead. I had the Grand Piazza; turkey, roast beef, pastrami, and salami topped with cheddar, swiss, tomatoes, lettuce, bell pepper. onion, mayo and italian dressing! WOW, it was good! Yes, they do have to stick it in a pizza oven for about 10 minutes, but it's ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I paid 6.95, and that may be 1 or 2 more than subway or Q's, but it's right about even with Davanni's and it's way better than any of them. Do yourself a favor and check em out. By the way, it does say Fast Freddy's on the awning.

Pizza, salads, sandwiches. This place does all of these and so much more. Their food is really good, I got the cheese bread and their pizza sauce is freakin delicioso. There aren't many places to get a hot bite late at night in Bryn Mawr, and this place does the job, having earned accolades from Lavender and City Pages. Oh and by the way, despite their "official" name being "Bryn Mawr Pizza and Deli" the sign out front *does* say "Fast Freddie's" just so there's no confusion.

I have always had great service and never had a pizza I didn't like. I almost always get a BBQ chicken pizza with extra BBQ sauce on the side. The pizza is almost always ready in 20 minutes and the employees are down to earth and friendly

Frankly, I tend to love anyone who will deliver food to me (why won't more restaurants do this?! Especially non-Italian ones? This is a city, for goodness' sake!) . However, Bryn Mawr Pizza actually does make very good pizza, especially if you like the non-traditional stuff. It's a hand-tossed style crust and a very tomato saucy sauce, and they'll do it up with everything from goat cheese to pine nuts to fried chicken to the usual pepperoni. They're incredibly friendly, both in person and at my front door, and they win extra points for that. Good point about this place having two names -- both are listed on their take-out menu, too, which is indeed really confusing.
