In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Great selection of slices. I'm partial to the chicken (BBQ chicken) or Hawaiian, but they all look good. Lots of cream sauces, too. $4 gets your a giant slice of pizza that gets popped back in the oven for a refresh heat. If you're conflicted over the price, consider this slice is about the size of 2 slices at most joints. I've done the 2 slices deal a few times, but a slice will do it. Pizza needs a good blot. Crust is chewy and slightly sweet. It's good stuff.

I ordered two slices of cheese & sausage and was not impressed. I walk by this location all the time and the smell is amazing but the pizza just did not live up to that aroma. My two slices were loaded with cheese (not always a bad thing) but it resulted in huge grease pools on top of my pizza and plate. too much cheese for a Wisconsin girl says quite a lot. The oil from the cheese made the crust soggy and hard to cut. There was barely any sauce that I could taste and I love a saucy pizza. They also use styrofoam plates and cups, which I hate because they are so bad for the environment and alternatives are readily available. Servers were working hard but I had to wait for quite a bit. Pepsi products at the fountain were saved by the Diet Dr. Pepper offering. I don't think I'll be back.

Excellent pizza, great selection, there are always one or two great options for vegetarians, and the two slices and a fountain pop for $8.00 is a nice value. Take my word for it, two slices of Andrea Pizza and you will be full! Bottom line: Fresh ingredients, lots of variety, and they put a lot of "love" into what they do.

Some of my coworkers deride Andrea's as nothing more than a greasy New York-style pizzeria. I've been trying to tell them that's exactly the point for a few years now, but I fear we may never be able to see eye-to-eye on this one. I maintain that Andrea's is one solid pizza place. There's another location over on LaSalle and 8th filled with perky Target employees and power broker types, but since I work in a frumpy building on the shabby side of downtown I go here. They make and bake their pizzas on-site in what is apparently a Sicilian style: a thin crust that is crisp yet soft and pliable. How they achieve this harmonious balance is a mystery, though I suspect the gobs of oil they use is somehow involved. In addition to your standard topping combinations they tend to do specialty pizzas that are surprisingly good: BBQ chicken, gyro, chicken alfredo, etc. If they had some sort of email list or text message alert that would tell me when they were doing the gyro pizza, I would be a very happy man. A slice and a large drink will run you five bucks exactly. Two slices are a fine way to ensure a food coma will sneak up on you later in the afternoon. Get one slice or go with a friend and do one each and split a third.

I lived in NYC for 4 years after college and this is probably the closest thing to a NY slice of pizza I've had in the Twin Cities. Always a great selection of slices. The sausage is more like the sweet Italian variety common in NYC pizza joints, not the typical crumbly Minnesota variety. The crust has that great combination of oven-baked crunch plus just thick enough to provide some chew.

This is pretty good greasy pizza. They are large NY style-ish slices and the prices are pretty decent. I think I picked out a white pizza with spinach and some onion action, and I was stuffed for a few hours after dining here. The taste was good, and although this was a sit out and reheat, I wasn't disappointed. For a skyway pizza joint, Andrea has gets some thumbs up from me.

Andrea Pizza offers an excellent variety of New York style pizza slices at a cheap price. Andrea's slices are a standout in cheap, good, quick lunches in this area of downtown Minneapolis.
