Went there last night for dinner. We have eaten there many times in the past 12 yrs. and the food/service is normally good. As we walked in the door, we immediately noticed how cold it was. Their AC was set at 72, and people all around the restaurant were cold. An elderly woman at a nearby table sent her grandson out to get her a jacket. We asked three different employees, the bar tender, our waitress, and the gal working the pull tab booth. All said the employees were so warm, they needed the AC set low. (The pull tab gal had a hoodie on, zipped up tight.) Some friends were in another part of the restaurant, and said they too were cold, but their waitress refused to do anything. The pizza was good, but their total disregard for customer comfort was disturbing. I will not go back there anytime soon.

Our first time at Anchorage and it was a good Saturday lunch. I had the Gyros flatbread, which was very tasty & my husband had a BBQ chipotle burger. It's a cute place with a cozy feel. Only one waitress and it was packed, so had to wait quite a while for our food. Only downside to our visit. We will be back for their wood fire pizza!

I give the Anchorage 5 stars mostly in comparison to what is available in the region. Good rural small town atmosphere, good food, and good service. A lot of places in the area are missing 1 or 2 of these things. "Good" = "great" in this area. I always feel comfortable at the Anchorage and somehow it always feels like vacation when I am there. I usually avoid the dining room and prefer the bar area, even when I'm just there to eat. Good TV coverage for sporting events. My fallback is a black and bleu burger with some Reuben balls for an appetizer. Dependably tasty!

Love it, love it, love it! This is always our first visit when we come into town for some cabin time. We usually stick to our regular - The Cheesehead pizza with jalapenos instead of onions. It's fantastic and probably the best pizza I've ever had!

Additional visit with a larger group this time. Hand tossed favorite was the order of the day for all but two diners. Waitress and kitchen came through without a mistake although the number of pizza orders could not be cooked and served exactly at the same time.
