Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

You guys are horrible, only people who haven't been to an actual Asian restaurant would find you guys tolerable. I can't believe you served me and my friends some old and stiff sesame chicken and then served me some "cho mein" which was also OLD and dry and crusty. The hell? How can you people be so lazy to make FRESH FOOD? I can't believe this restaurant is in business.

I love this place, it is a standard hole in the place with excellent food. Probably the best one in Lakeville. I like the people, the are very friendly and happy. I order takeout sometimes and their portions are great. Try their curry beef or chicken if you like curry. Only reason I am giving them a 4 stars because usually if you order Sunday few hours before they close, I think the cook forget to put the right veggies. :) But I still love it.

One of our all time favorites. We've been coming here for the last 15 years or more. Great family owned and operated place.

Great customer service. Wonderful food. Always fresh and quality ingredients are used. Well worth the drive from Faribault.

If you are looking for the best Chinese restaurant in the Twin Cities, this is not it. (My personal favorite is Lucky China in St Paul.). If you are looking for a good takeout place near 35 and 50 & 5, this is it. I've ordered from here twice. The food is good enough. The first time I ordered, I got Kung Po Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan (mild for the young ones). Both were good, and we (husband and I) were surprised at the cashews in the Kung Po. The second time I ordered was for Mongolian Beef and Chicken with Chinese Vegetable. My husband thought the Chicken tasted nice, I thought both were a little lackluster.

Tak Shing is our go-to for a weekday lunch buffet or take out anytime! Best Chinese south of the river!

Friendly staff and probably the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Little spendy, but you definitely get more than enough to last a couple days. No complaints here!

I grew up going to this wonderful place. It holds a lot of special memories for me; I even had my 16th birthday here. I'm a Korean Adoptee and this was the most Asian anything I got as a kid. The staff is all family and friends of the family. They always payed special attention to me and my adopted sister growing up knowing they were the only Asians me and her had any interaction with in an Anglo Saxon community. The food is all great, and their wontons have just the right amount of cream cheese in them! They have a lighter pink and thicker sweet and sour sauce vs the darker runny stuff you get at most chains. You can make anything you order hot and every crazy insane Thai hot! I always get my orders covered in red chili! This place is truly the brightest gem in Lakveille. I always come back knowing it's the same home I've know since I was a little girl.

The only Chinese restaurant in Lakeville~?~? Awful~!! Soggy chicken wings and tasteless. Chicken Cashew -- Picked out the celery pieces and filled up more than 1/4 of the box~!! Tasted like celery even without the pieces~!!! Low Mein~? Really~?~? Ugh~! Fried Rice -- Blah~!! China East in Apple Valley is wonderful~! Should have driven up to get takeout~!! This is as constructive as I can be~!!!!!

Tak Shing is overpriced . They are the only Chinese place that I have ever seen not use "real" chicken in their fried rice and if you want real chicken it was $2 extra! $8 for chicken fried rice is a little outrageous. I would expect that if any other Chinese restaurants could afford to give me real chicken why not Tak Shing too? The food is good though and I guess if you willing to fork your money over for it its worth it. The atmosphere is very laid back and business is made up of mostly faithful regulars.

I used to love this place when the original owner Tom cooked and managed. Now his sons have taken over and the once great quality has gone and been replaced with mediocre over priced food.

Tak Shing has been our go-to place for Chinese in Lakeville for a long time. I have heard from friends that it has slipped a bit, but I still prefer it to some of the others in the area. The Sesame Chicken has been my favorite - just spicy enough and good chicken, too. The atmosphere isn't much - but we go there for take out almost all the time anyway. The wait time can be long, but that's because they're busy. The combo meals are a good value - we can usually get two meals out of each one. We've tried other places, but keep coming back to Tak Shing.

Yo - Tak Shing is frienldy and the szechuan dishes are amazing. I had the Szechuan shrimp last week and I seriously have been craving more. They know how to cook. My brother's GF who is chinese introduced me to Tak Shing many years ago and I was happy when they were still doing their thing last week. I am now about to order some Very Spicy "no Return Hot" Szechuan. The way they make the cabbage is awesome too. Xie Xie

Not a bad place to go if you are on this side of town. But they do have the best cream cheese puffs in town. Cant say much about the rest of the place.

Best low mien I have ever had in my life and I have had a lot of Chinese food! All of the food is really good, but I recommend takeout.

I've made this place my regular take-out choice for Chinese food. It's not the greatest but it isn't bad and the people that work there are always friendly. They also have a frequent customer punch card for discounts.

I would pass this place over if I were you. I tried this place on a recommendation of a coworker because I happened to be in the area. Never again! I walked in and the young man working behind the counter yells "We're all out!" which immediately annoyed me. I then asked for the Sesame Chicken combo dinner, but with white rice not friend and the cream cheese puffs. I notice on the menu the price of the dinner is $7 and some change, but yet the kid charged my card $10 (right where I noticed they have a posted min. charge for using VISA was $10...which my bank now tells me a violation of their agreement with VISA). I get my food and go home to eat it. I should have checked the food before I left the restaurant, because they gave me fried rice (which was this really yellow color with no flavor and veggies that looked very freeze-dried) instead of the white rice I asked for. They also completely forgot the cream cheese puffs. And last but not least, the quality of the meat in the sesame chicken was really poor. The meat was stringy in some pieces and really tough in others. The sauce was nothing special either. By the time I got home and realized how disappointing all the food was they were closed, so I couldn't call and complain to see if they would rectify the mistakes. I'll be satisfied never going here again.

This is our new favorite chinese place. Great service. Very friendly and speedy. We second a previous reviewers vote - they do have the best cream cheese wontons in town! Szechuan chicken was very good. Wonton soup was very fresh but needed a bit more flavor. Would recommend take out if you care about decor but the service makes up for that and made it a fun easy low cost date night.
