I was in Hopkins tonight, not familiar with the area...so a bit disgruntled. Kinda hungry too, since it was around "dinner time" when this cute sandwich shop's sign caught my eye. Erbert and Gerbert? Hmm, another sub sandwich shop? I've actually not heard of Erbert and Gerbert before, but it looked similar to Jimmie John's ( my favorite sub sandwich shop ...I'm not a Subway or Blimpie fan). I ordered it to go. The service (the cash register guy who took my order, and the gal who made the sandwich) was pleasant and friendly. When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich I was surprised! There was a strip of torn bread on top of my sub- and it was delicious! A fresh strip of tender, moist bread. The bread I understand is fresh french bread baked at the store. Oh, and the "guts", the meat, cheese, veggies, the sauce on my sandwich was deliciouso, too! Wow, I'm glad I was in Hopkins tonight ...and will be on a lookout for more Erbert and Gerbert's in the future.

Terrible...I love Erbs & Gerbs food, but unfortunately I will never go there again because of how ridiculously rude their staff are. I called for a delivery order and when I gave my address I heard the guy taking my order ask someone something in the background and they said "no" and then they hung up the phone. I had given the guy my number so I thought he would call back but he didn't. I called back and told him what happened and he said "well we don't deliver to your area". I told him we live like 1.5 miles away and have had delivery from them before. He said it's up to the delivery driver and was rude and argumentative with me. Never going back there.

Excellent service and subs that are awesome! Last time I went here, I was greeted quickly and the store manager helped me pick out a sandwich. Great job!!

Love subs. Love the bread. Love the service. I come her for lunch a couple times a month...they know my name and my usual order. Get the free rewards card for free sandwiches and other perks.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! When I lived in Hopkins, I had Erbs and Gerbs delivered weekly. No joke. WEEKLY. Sometimes more than once a week. The soups and sandwiches are fantastic. The bread is soooo good. And the best is dipping the inside of the bread they take out (but let you have) in the soup. My favorite soup is the Chicken Wild Rice. I usually get the Narmer or the Titan for my sandwiches...but I've had most of them and they are all good. I've been lucky enough to go to many Erbs and Gerbs all over Minnesota and they are all good. So get out and get yourself a sub from Erbs and Gerbs!!! (and if you're looking for fast service and/or delivery...Jimmy John's ain't got nuttin on Erbs and Gerbs!)

Great sandwiches, yummy soups, quick delivery, and reasonable prices make the Hopkins E&G a fine choice. My company orders from this location frequently and we are impressed with the quick delivery. If you choose to eat-in there is some cafe seating on the sidewalk as well as ample seating inside. Yum, just writing this review makes me hungry for a sandwich.
