If you like your Chinese food fresh, there isn't a better spot for mouthwatering freshness. If your more into the deep fried unhealthily but delicious Chinese I would skip this place and try something different. Kung Pao chicken is great for you spicy addicts.

Yum! I picked up lunch for the first time today and it was so good. I ordered the lunch special, which is a great deal at just $7! It comes with fried rice, an entree and appetizer. I got the beef & broccoli and cream cheese puffs. They gave me 4 large cream cheese puffs which had a good consistency in the filling and didn't taste like old grease. The veggies were fresh and crisp, the beef was tender and the flavor of the fried rice was great! I will definitely nominate this place as my new favorite Chinese place in Hopkins and will get lunch here again!

Again another great order from China Palace. You have to get their egg rolls I don't know if it is ginger or what but they are addicting. The cream cheese wontons are another great one to try. Great customer service and fast!!

What a waste of money. The food was tasteless and the service was bad. I threw away almost half of the food. We ordered seafood combination and house loman, and that cost us 20 some bucks. Such a rip off.

My husband and I eat here fairly regularly as it isn't too far from where we live and is an easy stop on the way home from work or for lunch. It's one of the better Chinese options in the Hopkins area. It's also very inexpensive. Their lunch buffet is always great and a really good value.

Not exactly a true Chinese restaurant. It is a buffet and their delivery options are limited. I ordered a Chicken Chow Mei Fun (thin noodles) and instead I was delivered a weird blend of chicken, celery and broth/gravy. It essentially tasted like turkey and gravy... a soup of gravy. And the chicken was grounded (?). Granted, the taste was good (that's why they get two stars). If you are ordering something from here stick solely to English words (Sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, etc.)

Good. Been living here over a year and just tried this place last month. Egg rolls are bomb and the General Chicken is good too. We have been here 4 times in the last two weeks.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant! Chicken and broccoli made spicy, sesame chicken, and cashew chicken are all great.

Very well priced. It's not large but has the typical items. The turnover of food is constant so it's hot. Larger buffets you have more choices but some of that's been sitting too long. Very friendly staff. Bite into chicken and take a look and you'll notice quality. Will visit many more times.

So here's the deal... I feel like some of these reviews of China Palace are way too critical. Let's be real... it's an inexpensive, Americanized Chinese place we're talking about, and you know that going in... you're probably not going to get your mind blown. However, it is what it is, and that is fresh and tasty! My experiences here are limited to their lunch buffet. It is somewhat limited to the basics, which I personally like, because that means that there is more turnover of the food. It's always hot and fresh. The main buffet dishes I like are the spicy chicken, sesame chicken, wontons and dumplings. Also, their hot and sour soup (also part of the lunch buffet) is super good! If you're around the area like me (I work like 5 minutes away) and want an inexpensive, good, fresh, Chinese lunch, go here and I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Surprisingly fresh! We ordered 30 minutes before they closed (I know I know) so we were expecting the scraps from the buffet, but everything we got was surprisingly fresh and piping hot! Also we got our order quickly, always a plus. I got the vegetable fried rice and cream cheese wontons (healthy!) and my fiancé got the sesame chicken. He said his chicken was perfectly crispy, not drowned in sauce, but a warning, they do come with chili flakes in them so if you're expecting the typical sweet tangy sauce, there is some spice. My fried rice was great; very hot and fresh, and the vegetables were great! I've never had green peppers in my fried rice before so that was interesting, and they were chopped in huge pieces, not minced or in thin strips, so I could see that they were good quality, no spots, and biting into them they were still firm and crisp so I knew they weren't soggy old scraps. Overall I'm very impressed, we will definitely order from here again.

Americanized Chinese Loaded with MSG and salt More than half of items are deep fried for lunch buffet Low quality cuts of meat and dishes are covered in heavy dark soy sauce MN people have no idea how bad the Chinese food is here in MN compares to NY, CA, WA and TX. Darn!

All you can eat chinese food in Minnesota...what could go wrong? Not a lot, decent food and such but I do have a few quams...The Sweet and Sour Pork Ladies and Gentlemen. I don't know why I capitalized those words but maybe just to make my message clear. But before I get into that, let me explain why I was in Minnesota, and not my beloved California. I was visiting family and we wanted a quick, easy lunch. This is definately the place for it. Its pretty good chinese for AYCE and China Palace is now serving Sushi!???(?what?) Sushi at a chinese restaurant, that will fill up the seats. Its only vegatable sushi, and I didn't try any in fear of my well-being, but any of you adventurous minnesotans can risk it, didn't look to bad...Anyway, I was having a good lunch until, CRUNCH, i chewed on the sweet and sour pork. All of the pork was cartilage and no meat. Not Good. But I spit it into my napkin very sneakly and finished my lunch with no problems. I even had two servings. It's a good place, and easy if you want a quick bite in Minnesota. Other than that, AVOID THE SWEET AND SOUR PORK. Ok, great. Happy Holidays China Palace.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
