Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

When I was in Chalet last time I noted their lunch special of a personal pepperoni pizza and a can of pop for $5 and stored that in my memory banks. Today I stopped in to give the deal a try. It was a quick and painless ordering process and kudos for the $5 price tag includes the tax - a flat fiver for lunch! The extra dollar bill I had in hand dropped easily into the tip jar. The pizza and soda were brought out to the table I grabbed in no time at all. The super thin crust means this pizza does not take long in the oven. Nice tangy tomato sauce, adequate but not over board amount of cheese and a decent amount of pepperoni with a dusting of oregano for extra flavor. It was a quick lunch too. From ordering, getting food, eating, to heading out the door was just over 20 minutes. I am definitely adding Chalet to my lunch rotation.

Fantastic thin crust pizza. I ordered a Canadian bacon pineapple and jalapeño pizza for carry out and it was ready on time and hot. It was perfectly cooked. The crust was nice and crunchy. Some places tend to undercook pizzas but this place was perfect. Make sure you bring cash because they don't accept credit cards.

Sat waiting for our pizza for 30-45 minutes only to find out it had been sitting on top of the ovens for that entire time or close to it. Grade F ingredients; the cheese separated like it was curdled or was mostly oil. Sullen, unhelpful staff that lost my pizza and wouldn't honor another customer's coupon. Oh, and this place also doesn't take credit cards or checks. That pretty much says everything.

Don't judge this book by it's cover. It's old and looks it. But it's stood the test of time for a reason. If you like a thin cracker crust, this is your spot. You can't beat their $5 lunch special. It's just enough to split with my daughter. She loves it.

Born and raised in Hopkins, but not bias when it comes to pizza. For those of you in the area here, you probably know Beek's and Broadway. Well Chalet is like those, super thin and crispy crust with ample toppings. Chalet is my favorite pizza in the world, no joke. Cash only, Daily specials too!

This place has been around for 50 years and the pizza is very good but when calling and placing your order don't expect a friendly voice on the other end , it seems like its a bother to her to take your order !

I was at a friend's house in the Hopkins area and was craving pizza. I don't like big chains so I chose Chalet. I was disappointed. First off they have paper thin crust.($$$ saved) It drooped like a wet noodle when you picked up a piece. Now I love thin crust but not this thin. I also thought cheddar was a strange choice for cheese, but I was open. Well it didn't help the experience. There are much better choices. The sauce was basically tomato sauce.($$$ saved) It had virtually no spice. The amount of the toppings was skimpy as well.($$$ saved) It seemed like they were more interested in making a low cost pizza without a low cost price.($14.75 charged for a medium) I don't know how others think this is 5 stars.

When they say thin crust, they weren't joking. I bought the biggest pizza they had for me and another to split, hoping there would be left overs for tomorrow. Boy was I wrong. The pizza is super thin. They should call it a "cracker thin crust" rather than just a thin crust . It's probably the thinnest pizza I've ever had. Good overall, but not worth it it you're really hungry. And it's cash only.

Gary has been keeping it real since the days of mini-cars zooming down mainstreet. Excellent MN pizza - love the thin crust, fresh toppings and just the right amount of cheese. My only complaint is that they don't deliver to my neighborhood.

Can't hate a $5 lunch special (a slice & can of pop), which is a good value. Taste is just 'meh'.

Awesome Super Thin,Crispy,Crunchalious Crust.Haven't decided if I like the Cheddar mixed with the Mozzarella.Must keep trying it till I know, that is my excuse, ya, going with that. Not as many toppings as Lake Harriet Pizza (my 1st Love, but distance makes me Fickle),but it is right down the street, and Princess is too Lazy to drive. What they do do with the few ingredients they have, Zzamazing.Price Moderate, don't need to Pawn anything to Zza up. 3 0utta 5 Tiara's

First of all, nowhere on the menu / website does it say that they only accept cash or (local) checks. So we call in an order for pick up, only to get there to find out they do not take credit cards. But don't worry, they will keep our pizza on top of the oven while we drive to the gas station down the street to use the ATM. We finally get our pizza which is of course cold when we get it home. We put it in the oven for about 5 minutes and it was actually pretty decent pizza, if you like thin crust. I wish they had something to order on the side, but nope, all they do is pizza!

This place has amazingly delicious pizza. They do thin crust perfectly. It's so thin that I could eat a large entirely by myself. Keep in mind they only accept cash or local checks but it's completely worth it.

The best pizza in the area. Small locally owned with seating area. Try the Mainstreeter. Cash only.

So, to be honest, I have a fear of chain pizza places....which I think is the result of time spent living in Italy, but I also think is an asset. So here it goes on this small, locally owned pizza shop. Chalet Pizza is the place to go to when you want simple Americanized pizza. They have super thin crust , decent tomato sauce, and deliver. My favorite version is Canadian Bacon, Green Olives, and Mushrooms. A consistently solid option-but don't ask for double anything because it doesn't actually change the amount of the toppings that they put on the pie. Bonus: I always get my pizza before the time that the person at the restaurant says (which to me is a bonus because I am usually starving when I order my pizza). FYI-I have gotten cool pizza upon delivery, but I now remind them that I want it HOT-and it has never happened again.
