Ok so we actually come here quite often. One would think if that were the case that our review would be awesome but we are going to keep it honest. No wireless would not seem like a big deal but this kind of goes along with the outdatedness of this place. They have in the last year added some more modern looking high top tables that are much more comfortable than the old booths. If you stick with the bar menu with food that is a safe bet. The burgers, Walleye and chicken sandwiches are all good picks. We did the fish fry one time and not again as it was a lot of breading/less fish and the iceberg lettuce is just not our thing. Service has been hit and miss but never really good or bad, thus the three star rating.

As noted by a couple, in the last years, this place has continually declined in both menu and service. We thought we would try the chicken/ribs buffet ............. as it was called. Started with a make-it-yourself salad. Basically lettuce, shredded cheese, small tomatoes and dressing. No more hard boiled eggs, no more crab leg (fake) pieces, no bacon bits, no croutons, and a very "watery" tomato soup without crackers. Grabbed a plate and visited the "buffet line" ........ They had a pan of a variety of veggies - steamed and wilted and shriveled up. Skin on mashed potatoes were good and not runny. White gravy was --- well white and gravy. No taste to it, so salt and pepper added at the table. Grabbed a couple of fried chicken legs and a thigh. They were hot, and well cooked - but kept wondering when the local gas station was going to bring in another platter of their "Broasted" chicken parts. Again - no flavor. Tried a small set of ribs - but they were covered with almost a 1/2 inch of sauce, and again - someone doesn't like to use spices to add flavor. They just cover it all up under too much sauce. On the way back to table, there was a plastic bag, open, and with a few bakery rolls and wrapped butter pat. Another pack, still not opened of same rolls was under the open package. I skipped the desert that looked like a pond cake, strawberries and sauce, watermelon, and a bowl of "Kool Whip" sorta stuff. At about $14.00 per person, I think even KFC does a better buffet where they have it. NOT on par with the chicken served at House of Coates fairly close to our home, and even the local gas station has better tasting and seasoned chicken. My thoughts - skip this place. I heard rumors they were selling out entire corner, but that isn't confirmed. Also all vestiges of "Prime Rib" have been removed from the menu. At this cost, a menu dinner at Wiederholds in Miesville is a better meal - and a heck of a lot better atmosphere.

Live 2 miles away and try this every few months in hopes it improves. It doesn't though it's maybe a 3 star for breakfast. Decor is old and the place smells as old as it looks. Dusty, don't look up, and while a few items are OK, you'd be nuts to recommend this. Best bet, the chicken take out since there's no chicken place in the vicinity.

Great Breakfast menu, solid service. Love this place. Good food and price. Not much more to be said, for breakfasts this place is 5 stars because for a small diner it is as good as it gets.
