I was very excited to try this place today. I didn't know if I was supposed to order at the counter or at the table so I grabbed a menu and sat down. There were no customers but all the tables (except two) were covered with dirty dishes. After fifteen minutes at the table I went to the counter to order. I had questions about the Loroca and the woman behind the counter said flower. That didn't answer my question but obviously that's just a language barrier and I won't hold that against them. I ordered Tacos al pastor, tacos lengua, and pork and cheese papusas. The tacos arrived after about 20 minutes and they were ok. The cilantro was wilted and the meat was dry but the flavor was ok compared to Wisconsin tacos. Did I mention that I drove more than one hour from Wisconsin? After finishing my tacos and still no sign of the papusas I went to the counter to ask about the rest of my meal. There was a lot of yelling between two employees and eventually a woman in the back looked at me and said sorry. Another 20 minute wait and I eventually got my papusas (without any garnish). I again went to the counter to ask for the toppings. After standing there for what felt like an eternity and feeling ignored, a server started to plate the rest of my dish. The Papusas were tasty but pretty skimpy. Half way through my 1.5 hour meal family members started showing up and there meals were served instantly. When I arrived at 1:30 the place was empty. By 2:30 there were at least a dozen screaming children. I had planned on getting a bunch of food to go as well.

If you're expecting fine dining, this isn't the place. If you want great, homemade food, you are in luck. It is small and always made to order. The staff speaks almost no English so go with the flow. Pupusas are the specialty but anything with beef tongue is prepared very well. Great food, great service. As long as you're not a snob you will enjoy this place.

Family place. Great value on the tasty Salvadoran Pupusas. Nice cabbage salad included!

Big fan of this place. The food is legit. El Salvadorian women are cooking it for you. They are known for their pupusas, get the cheese ... I'm only rating it 4 stars because of their lack of marketing skills. No brochure, if you want to call in and order ahead of time you have to know what you want. Also, they have no website! Do you want to stay open? Prices are decent. Come for the soft shell tacos!

Great pupusas not so great customer service! My wife called and ordered 4 pupusas... When I went to pick them up the lady was nice and helped me check out quickly.... Once I checked the box I noticed I only had 3 pupusas even though I was being charged for 4....i thought "no big deal, just an honest mistake" and told her about it. The other lady (she'd taken the order on the phone) immediately freaked out and started arguing I'd only ordered 3.....instead of arguing on how many I'd ordered I just told her well there's only 3 and I'm being charged for 4. She replied "that's why I'm giving you the $2 back" and then practically threw the money at me in a very rude way. I've been there before and they've been nicer but they obviously don't know how to admit their mistakes smh:-(

*sigh* I really don't know what to say about this place. How's about we start with the positives. The cook/cashier/server/owner/janitor was REALLY sweet. The fish wasn't too shabby, either. And free cabbage salad. Score. Okay, now down to business. 1. If it's on your specials board, it should be in the building. 2. You don't have a bathroom. You have a mop closet with a small porcelain bowl in it that you share with the gas station next door. Do NOT go in there. 3. I thoroughly appreciate the authenticity of the menu, but if you can't translate it for me, I can't eat it. Sorry. 4. When was the last time you dusted? 5. It says a LOT when you go to an authentic Salvadoran restaurant and are forced to order the fish. The restaurant needs an enema and a makeover. In that order.
