I have been a customer for over 10 years. Their food is always great and ready for you very quickly. The only thing that could possibly be missing is delivery but it's not a necessity.

Decent Chinese food... But nothing spectacular. They have several "top 100" type awards hanging throughout the restaurant... Not sure I would place them this high. I like their sweet & sour chicken and their Lomein is good too. Service really slows down when they are busy... Seems that they have trouble keeping up.

Simple food, average at best. Not very flavorful, but ok overall. Seems pretty popular though! Had the sweet and sour chicken combo meal.

Your average Chinese take out food. Nothing bad just nothing super amazing either. I had seasame chicken and it was average.

Great fast Chinese food joint. A lot of food for the money. My faves are any of the deep fried chickens (general tso, sweet & sour, etc)

Mei Wei is a busy eat-in and take-out Chinese restauarant in Farmington. They have been nominated to the 100 best Chinese restaurants in America. In addition to their varied menu, they have lunch and dinner specials. Lunch specials include fried or white rice. Dinner specials also include an egg roll. The food is consistently good and comes to your table fresh and hot. I've been here several times and have always been happy with their food. If you are in the Farmington/Rosemount/Lakeville area, I would highly recommend coming by. You won't regret it.

First of all it is false advertising when you see a sign for top 100 Chinese restuarants in the US, this isn't even in the top 100 in the Twin Cities. Most Chinese restuarants you get a lot of food for a decent price. Here you don't get what you pay for. Overpriced for the quality of food you receieved. The fried rice had way too much soy sauce, and the rice was hard. Egg rolls blah, the mongolian beef tasted different than any other mongolian beef I have ever eaten. Seems like they use a lot of ketchup in their sauces. And the wait for the food was longer than most Chinese restuarants. Will not go back.

Mei Wei is right by our house, we used to go here all the time. We usually did take out. It is easy to call it in and run over and grab it. A few years ago, we ate here and my wife and I both got very sick. The kids eat different food off the menu, they were fine. Until recently, we had not gone back. We started going back because it is so close to our house, the food is good, and it's a local place to support. So far so good. It might have been a fluke and we really want to have a place like this close to home that is not a chain. The folks that work here are nice and remember us every time we come it. We want to love this place. We want them to succeed. We like the food and the people. So, we are back. Giving them another chance.

Not my favorite Chinese restaurant by far, not even my favorite in Farmington, but still a good, standard choice. The Chinese vegetables are the best of the bunch. Fast service, usually friendly. Orange chicken is pretty good, as is sweet and sour.

Absolutely the best Chinese food I've had anywhere! They are fast and always have the order right. I don't go anyplace else for Chinese take-out!

Probably one of the better Chinese places that I have had around. The staff is always extremely friendly and the food is always good. I may only order there once every 2-3 months, but they have a way of remembering what I ordered previously as soon as I walk in. They always do a good job even when they are extremely busy, and even when I ask for them to make it very spicy, they always do.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
