Among the steaks, you must stay away from the Applebee's Riblets platter as well as Bourbon Street Steak at all costs. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin is also not recommended. Skip the sandwiches, wraps, and tacos as well. Desserts may be tempting but it is recommended to avoid them at Applebee's for their high sugar content. All the beverages except Iced Teas must be avoided as well to control your sugar intake.

Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Applebee's
Just one dining tonight. Most empty Applebee's I have ever been to. 5-7 tables with customers between 7-9 PM, wow. I am from out of State and was told by others to avoid this Applebee's and choose another local dining establishment. Ordered 2 for $25, one for here and one to-go. They brought out the to-go portion, backwards from how I wanted them. Then they had to cook my other portion and it was sent back for under cooked. Manager was awesome and offered to re-cook the whole steak meal, when it completed it great and cooked properly. Overall it is what it is Applebee's!

Before you come here you must ask yourself two questions: "Do I feel like microwaving my dinner again tonight?" And, "Do I still respect myself as a human being?" If you answered no to both then head on over. All kidding aside, I've been here many time's over the years as I was growing up and if I had to use one word to describe the food here it would be "meh." The food here tastes exactly the same as at every other Applebee's, which is probably because it was prepared and flash frozen in the same warehouse. I've tried many dishes here because my family has forced me here for the occasional gathering, the most recently last week, so I'll keep this as short and simple as I possibly can. The three cheese chicken penne tastes surprisingly similar to pasta roni, and not in a good way. The burgers are just a step above burger kings. I'll just warn you now to avoid the seafood at all costs, in my whole life this was literally they first time I've had soggy shrimp. The walleye, is one of the most bland things I've ever eaten, the breading tastes close to ritz crackers. How can you screw up walleye?!? I could keep on going but I'll just leave it at that. I'm gonna give it two stars though because when I was five, and didn't know any better, I loved their chicken tenders. The only thing I'll add is that my grandpa really likes this place, and that is a man who once had McDonalds make him a grilled cheese sandwich. I kid you not.

You won't hear this from many people, but I am actually a fan of Applebee's... just not this one. The food quality was terrible, the service was slow, our waiter seemed overwhelmed the entire time! He couldn't even make suggestions when asked, it was terrible. You would think they would be a little better in this area, but no... pick another Applebee's and you'll be happier!

Applebee's Bartender S overcharged us for 2 drinks. Correct price $7 we were charged $9.29 (4.50 + 4.79). J ran up the final bill since S left at 5PM which had the overcharges. However, the drinks were ordered from S during happy hour. S had kept tried to deceptively up-charge us -- which annoyed me greatly to I told him "Please Quit Trying to Up-charge Me! --We just want the happy hours prices on the menu". So apparently he just over/up-charged us without asking. The steak was ordered Med-Rare came Med-Well to Well-done, otherwise OK. Chicken Salad ordered did not look like picture, small missing ingredients - would not order again.

Hey, it's an Applebee's. This is where you go when you can't decide on a specific cuisine and/or no one else is open. In EP, that could mean frequently. It has a varied enough menu to offer something for everyone. The wonton tacos are fabulous and not too bad for you. It's Applebee's; safe, boring, predictable but adequate.

My "home" location is in Chanhassen since it is closer to my house. Whenever I have been here the service has been good and the food has come in a decent amount of time. I have not had a bad experience at this location. The Chan location was remodeled and looks fantastic, not sure if this location was remodeled as well.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.
