Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. I second what Cindy said below. I've been waiting for another fun burger place where I could get something a little out of the norm to come along, but unfortunately this one just isn't it. The menu was ok, but it didn't have anything special. Red Robin really does have a better variety of options. And did I mention that nothing comes with your burger at all? You're going to be paying at least $10.00 for burger plus another $3.00 or more for each side that you order. Hey, and then you get to pay more for you drink too. Kinda pricey for a lackluster burger with nothing special about it. I'm still waiting for something like The Vortex in Atlanta, GA to open up here, but while I wait I think I'll stick with Ruby Tuesday's mini burgers and salad combos or with Red Robin. So sad to see that this place didn't live up to the potential.

When I'm looking for a "cheat meal" Burger Jones is a favorite. Their White Trash Burger is something special. ;-b

There would have been a wait had we wanted to eat inside, but since tables outside were readily available we braved the cooler weather. I had the hangover burger without the buns, but yet had the sweet potato fries and it was all pretty good. The burger meat was the right amount of pink, and I just love the fried egg and bacon combination. This version is also available at flub a dub chubs with the pretzel bun in Chicago, which I love so it's hard to compete. I like the variations, but was disappointed that there was no tomatoes that come with just lettuce and pickle garnish. Our waitress was a bit slow, and she only came once to ask for a refill on my drink when I didn't need one yet. The prices are a bit high for a chain burger joint in my opinion. The happy hour, appetizers and drinks do have its appeal.

nope no way in hell will i eat here again. the service was fine, atmosphere fine, but no one is going to charge me that freakin' much for a burger that is not easily edible and charge me more for fries. Also when I order said burger I should be able to pick it up with 2 hands an place it in my mouth, not need a fork and knife because the bottom bun is so soppy it disintegrated!!! Oh no they didn't! It seems like something so hard to mess up so much, it's a burger people. You should achieve average without trying, and if you cant get there don't charge me $10+ for your sad attempt.

First time we ate here and we'll definitely be back! My husband is French Canadian and wanted to try the Poutine, which is a local favorite in Montréal, Canada and where it originated. It was very good, not exactly like the original but still delicious. My hubby had a split hotdog with Velveeta cheese and green onions and topped with a fried egg. He said it was delicious! We had such a nice waiter, Steve, and the chef came out curious to see what my French hubby thought of his poutine. Some really unusual menu items that we would be curious to try in the future.

Burgers are great but everything is extra. Onion rings are HUGE but you only get 3, Nachos are probably the best thing we had there, I would go for the $3 Happy Hour beers and Nachos and skip the rest unless you are really hungry. Not going to get out of there for under $25 each I'd guess.

The classic case of a place that opens great and then goes downhill. The first couple of times we went, it was very good. But, now that they've been open for several months, it's been very disappointing. I don't think we'll be going back.

Arrive on a Saturday at 5:25pm, were told of a 15 minute wait, table for 3 adults and 1 three year old. Tick Tock, Tick Tock, 30 minutes goes by and we check to make sure our buzzer was still working... Over hear three employees at the front say "we better move the wait times out" good idea! Another 14 (yes I was timing it) minutes goes by and finally get in. Get seated, and we are greeted and asked about drinks, we ordered drinks right away. Drinks come, and she dashes off... 10 minutes later (drinks are downed) she comes back and takes our order. 3 Burgers, 1 chicken fingers kids meal and a fry tower. 37 minutes later (remember I was timing it) food comes out, but whoops no chicken fingers, we were told that they were delivered to the wrong table. 5 minutes later here come the steaming hot chicken fingers for the three year old. Had a similar experience at this same Burger Jones, but I didn't time it out on my last visit. Food was good (once it finally came), but service from start to finish was HORRIBLE! Nearly 2 hours to get food!, after being told of a 15 minute wait. I think Red Robin is more in our future as they are certainly more adept to families, kids and service.

Went here after mountain biking at nearby Murphy Hanrehan. Portions are quite large and easily splitable, so you can get out of there for under $30 for two. We split the green chili burger, it had a huge onion ring and pepper jack cheese on it, a side a of fries with the chipotle aioli and bought the deal of the day nachos for the table. Everything was pretty tasty and with 1/2 lb burgers we both had plenty. The beer selection is allright, we went with the special there as well on Mondays for $3 Coronas.

Loved this place! It appears to be a higher end burger joint to me when I got seated. The menu has a ton of creative burgers and this made it so fun! I got the Hangover that had a fried egg on top. Our favorite fries were the Parmesan Waffle Fries with seasoned sour cream- nummie and wrong all at the same time! And to top it all off we shared the Goober Monkey shake that was fantastic! Fun date night for something different!

Friendly and fast service, good combinations for burgers. The meat is tastey and for lunch I would recommend the $7.99 Cheese burger, it comes with fries and you can add (at no additional cost) lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and onion (raw or carmalized) and mayo. The bun is fresh and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I have been here 4 times in the past 6 months! Yep, I like Burger Jones. Yelp for Burger Jones. If you want a good experience, order one of the common burgers. Don't spoil the taste of the beef by ordering a bunch of stuff on top!

Burger Jones is an ideal almost realized. There is a place in Burnsville for a premier burger joint and Burger Jones could be it, but there are some tweaks that need to happen. Price. The prices are on point if the food delivers, I don't mind paying the al a carte prices for first my burger, then my onion rings, then my slaw. Food. We had the special, which would do Ron Swanson proud: bacon in the burger, on the burger, in the relish - a bacon bonanza. You order the burgers plain and then there are items you can add for free, for a minor upcharge and for a bit more after that. Again, I don't mind the price when I go out since it's just my husband and I, but it did not escape my notice that I had to pay. You can order your burger pink or not pink, which I think simplifies things nicely. The burger was flavorful, but the touted buttered bun was not very buttery or steamy, which was what you'd hope for. The onion rings on the side (there were four of them) were partially raw onion in a batter that was crumby and reminiscent of the frozen kind you bake in your oven. Not good. I will say the root beer complimented the meal nicely - it comes without ice, so you may want to be sure to ask for ice if you're like me and prefer it that way. My husband had the cheese curds, which were purported to be better than the state fair, but didn't have the oozy, greasiness that somehow tastes so good. Bar. For beer on tap selection, the bar is better than most in the area. If we go back, I'll give the drinks a chance, there seem to be a lot of regulars, which is a good sign. Ambience. The atmosphere is a modern spin on the old school burger joint that also offers a bar. We arrived before the rush and the hostess attempted to seat us 1) directly next to a large family with children; and 2) next to the kitchen door. When we asked for a different booth, they accommodated us, but a savvy host / hostess should know that a couple out for a date night don't want to sit next to a loud family and / or kitchen. Service. Our server was fantastic. He generated enthusiasm for the menu and gave me free coffee because I was cold. He guided us through the ins and outs of the menu, enthused about the special and was there whenever we needed a refill or another napkin. I enjoyed having him as our server. Overall. Overall I have Burger Jones a 3, but by A-OK in this case, I mean it's just alright. Being stuck here in the burbs, we might go back, but it would be so great to have a few options out here that we crave to get back to. Sometimes I really miss living in the city...

Finally took a trip to Burger Jones after hearing from friends and family about their burgers. Granted they're interesting and pretty good. I had the hangover burger. Different. But $10 for a burger... Come on. At least fries should come with it. The burger was tasty though. Onion rings were pretty good too. The service was lackluster. Tuesday evening and they were pretty slow at getting our food and check to us. It was a different person that brought our food and drinks out every time. So kinda confusing. The staff was nice though. Certainly friendly. This place is a mixed bag to me.

I was visiting from out of state and my sister brought me here for dinner with some other family. I was totally impressed! First off, I love the look of the restaurant. We went for dinner so it was pretty busy but we were sat fast. The burgers were all really good and the fries were amazing. My sister got some sort of chipotle sauce or something that was soooo good!! The waitress was also super nice and friendly. Everything was great, but the thing that blew me away was I had ordered a banana shake and I waited a while and it never came. I asked the waitress and she came back and said they were out of bananas. I was disappointed and she said they had other flavors, but I said it was okay, I didn't really need a shake anyways. A while later she came back and said someone was running to get bananas and that my shake was on the house. This is what gives this place 5 stars from me. Maybe it's just because I'm from out of state, but that was ridiculously nice. Fantastic service!!!!

A closed Blockbuster video store has been transformed into a burger joint. We went for supper yesterday at 5:00 p.m.; it's only 8 minutes from us. I will go again. Weather was pleasant and I noticed they have some outdoor seating, facing west and with some upright arborvitae (I think) providing some protection from the late afternoon sun. Nice. I liked that. When we stepped inside the door we were greeted by about 4 people waiting to pounce on us. The noise level was ridiculous. I immediately said we would like outside seating. While shown to a different table first, I asked to be seated where the tree shade would be most. That request was accommodated. Our waitress was cute and bubbly. AND after our food was delivered she did NOT ask "How's everything tasting?" or "How are we doing." Thank you, Jesus! Her question actually seemed genuine rather than canned instructions from her training session. My companion had a chocolate malt and the hot dog with the pulled pork and coleslaw and enjoyed both. I had a chocolate shake, the plain burger with the free accoutrements and a $2 order of fries. Skip the fries. Ugh. I left them. They were barely warm and limp. (I knew a guy like that once.) I ordered it "pink" (rather than "not pink") and it came with a "medium rare" pick in it. I thought the food police had outlawed pink burgers. Huh! The burger was not especially thick (I have no problem with that) and it was flavorful -- a winnah in my book. The shake and malt were substantial and made with ice cream (coupla chunks in the bottom of the metal shaker cup)--"a good thing." By the time we left at maybe 6:00, the outside seating was nearly full and the inside noise level was cacophonous. I'm too old and getting too deaf for that crap. Conversation would have been difficult. "Huh? What'd you say? Huh?" I may start ordering take-out. Serious. The ticket for all that ran to $35 with tip. That's $17.50 per. Steep for a burger and fries. I will go back for the burger, though. Probably soon.

We went here with a group and the food was ok, but I had expected much more from a place that has "Burger" in it's name. The service was good, atmosphere was good, and the menu was extensive and fun with lots of options, but the food was basic, greasy, and expensive. For the price we paid ($9.99 for the burger with toppings extra and fries not included), I would have expected some real quality, but even the cheese inside my Chubby Cheddar was of a "not real cheese" consistency and the Parmesan on my little cup of $2.99 fries seemed to be sprinkled from a Kraft Parmesan container type (although much preferred over the basic fry which seemed to be sprinkled with some extra grease). I liked the dinner, but mainly due to the group I was with. Next time I would probably head to McDonald's or throw some burgers on the grill and have the party at home.

Poor service. I stopped in for lunch today @12:30 and sat in the bar area waited for 15 min and not on single employee approached me. Bartender was out taking orders at all the other tables in the area. Won't be visiting this establishment again.

We enjoyed going to the Grand Opening of this restaurant. I went and had the Maple Flavored Sweet Potato Fries which were great and I also had the White Trash Burger. This burger was topped with Velveta cheese, fried cheese curds, and chicken fried bacon along with the burger was cooked to medium rare, which was more rare than I generally like however it was a great tasting burger. They also had a special on mini-mason jar speciality drinks, so I had the Long Island Iced Tea, which was mixed perfectly. I really enjoyed the place. Atmosphere was great too. Only small down side was the cost. It is a little more on the spendy side than I would normally do, so for a rare treat, I would definately go again but not something I would do very often due to the cost.

Burger Jones is ok. I wouldn't want to eat there more than a few times a year. Prices are a bit high for what you get, and they get you for every little extra. I hate only the chosice of "pink or no pink" To them pink means medium RARE. So I either have to get a burger that is overcooked (well done) or still bleeding (Med Rare) I do love the sweet potato fries and the chipotle and/or the gravy for dipping.

First timers at Burger Jones. We came in for my husbands birthday. We were greeted right away at the front door with a smiling face. We were sat right away at a comfy booth for two. It was near the kitchen with an birds eye view of the kitchen to watch them work! Brian was AMAZING! Great recommendations and awesome service! If you have a burger addiction-YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! If you can't find a masterpiece on the menu, you can creat your own! The Burnsville location is a little gem! When you stop in ask for Brian-he knows his stuff and makes you feel right at home

I went here to grab dinner with some of my friends since they are all from the area. I liked how their menu had other choices besides just burgers, but I went with the build your own burger and put avocado, sprouts and a fried egg on a thin bun. For the food, it was actually a really good burger to me! Threw some sriracha on there and it was great. You have to order sides (fries, cheese curds, etc) and they don't come with the burger - this wasn't my favorite because my burger already cost a lot of money and I wasn't about to spend that much more. For the service, our server was not good at all. I usually don't complain about servers, but she avoided eye contact, never filled out waters (another lady was nice enough to come fill our waters) and our server was no where to be found most of the time. Overall, the place was good, but I'd much rather try the Uptown location if I were to go back again. Nothing about this place was amazing, but they did had a decent burger!

You know, they were really not bad at all. Service was a tad slow HOWEVER we were at a table of about 20 people. Our server took our food and drink orders promptly, most of the waiting was for the burgers, which they managed to bring out to everyone more or less at the same time! We were there about 8ish on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, which I thought was a bit surprising. Besides our table there were a handful at the bar and out on the patio. First round hubby and I both ordered the 32oz mason jar sparkling sangria. It was tart, boozy, and decidedly refreshing after spending 3 hours in the sun and mosquitoes. Since I was driving I nursed a Tin Whiskers wheat beer for the rest of the night, while the hubs proceeded to get 2 of the $5 bloody mary specials with a beer chaser (pictured). They had a nice tap list as well. For my burger I went with the black and blue, pink, extra cheese please! Hubs did a build your own, and our friend went with the white trash burger. It was a bit of a wait for the burgers but I think that was due to our large party. My burger was spot on! Pink in the middle and requested extra cheese. I also ordered a side of the maple bacon sweet potato fries, but I was a bit disappointed with them. I have the impression that they are simply dusted with a maple/bacon seasoning. I only ate a handful. Hubby inhaled his burger (business as usual) and our friend ate about half of his white trash burger and got the rest to go, he said it was too much grease to handle all in one meal. Fortunately for us our server had asked everyone before hand how to split the check up, so there was no downtime for us paying the bill. A little different than what we'd usually stop at but it satisfied nonetheless. I don't think we'd come here (or the Calhoun location) on our own but I'd have no problems coming back with a group, if that was the consenus!

I don't know what to say...I was totally not impressed. We sat down and took a look at the menu, the options were pretty exciting and plentiful. In the end, the burger wasn't that great. If the burger itself isn't seasoned and done well, all the toppings in the world aren't going to help it. Fries were ok. If I had to choose between this and fast food, it would be a tough call...I might choose fast food because the price lol.

Not a place I would go out of our way for... But we had a $50 gift card and this is the option closest to where we live. Service was friendly and attentive... But not over-the-top or extreme. My husband had the white trash burger and I had the bison burger. We actually could have split either one of the burgers along with our appetizer and had plenty to eat. The burgers were good but my husband mentioned that his burger was very greasy, and so was unable to finish it. One comment I would add is that they do not offer nutritional information on their menu items. As I am trying to eat healthier, this made it a bit difficult... I selected the bison burger based on information found online via an external site... It said that the bison burger is 146 calories. I suspect that this is only for the bison patty so be sure to account for the cheese, bun and onions (and any condiments) if you are tracking your calories.

  • Erin G.

I like this place because they offer so many options, including bison burgers and turkey burgers and any fixings you can imagine! I ordered the Blaze burger, which isn't on the menu anymore, with modifications. So I ended up getting a bison burger with turkey bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, peanut butter, and hot sauce on a thin wheat bun. Freaking amazing. I also ordered sweet potato fries, and they came out lukewarm. The server was quick to bring a new order though. The bf got a chicken summer salad and I had a bite of that too, and it was good.

This place was not bad! I must say it looks nice inside and my waiter knew the menu very well. Although he said he wasn't a huge fan of the White Trash burger, he described the flavors and sold me on it. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. He came by to always make sure we had refills and everything we needed. I will say though that the burger I ate wasn't the best burger ever, but this place was not bad. The smoked ketchup dip literally tasted like a log fire which I didn't really care for. The chipotle sauce was delicious with the French fries but the sour cream was not so great. Overall, presentation was clean and beautiful, the service was great, and the food tasted good, (but nothing left me saying "oh my gosh I love this meal!")

We really like Burger Jones as a family. Someone wrote not to bring kids because of no kids menus. That is simply not the case (see my picture of the kids menu). The reason we eat there is because our 6 and 7 year olds love it! The burgers are really good. Not The Nook good so that is why I gave it 4 stars. Nachos are awesome and the milkshakes are awesome. We have always received great and prompt service. I like to build my own burger and I get the junior size. Share the nachos or have as a meal as they are awesome but huge.

I read a lot of bad reviews of this place. I find them in relation to my experience totally wrong. I thought the place was too loud, but festive. I like that. Our service was excellent, in fact I would say that our server Brian was far above average. A very entertaining guy that was attentive, knowledgable and engaging. I like a server that sells the product and walks a guy around the menu. I've never been to this place before and this guy made sure we knew all about the menu. The food was what I expect out of a burger place, wasn't excellent, wasn't awful. It was good. Overall this was a good experience.

Hi there, I came here and expected a mediocre experience. I wasn't disappointed. Ordered an appetizer, the nachos came out, the size of a football field. Really good, but they were so large that my colon ached at the sight of them. The food is overpriced and the service doesn't at all make up for it. I felt like a hassle the entire time I was here, I wanted a meal where I could sit and talk to my counterparts and not be pressured. I ended up ordering a burger and feeling bad because I had already consumed 4000 calories of nachos. Not super happy to have decided to come here.

I love their mushroom and Swiss bison burger! My husband loves the regular burger with American cheese. If it's someone's birthday, they'll bring out a fun treat :) What I don't love- it always seems to take a million years to get your bill!

I was in the Burnsville area and was craving a burger and beer after a long day of car shopping. I knew Burger Jones was in the area, I could see the creepy guy holding a burger from highway 42, so I popped on in. You can expect by the name it's a trendy burger joint. Lots of booths, open concept throughout, modern design, and lots of weird burger art all around the walls. Like people stuffing their faces with burgers, I didn't find it appetizing. Very creepy. We were seated quickly, it was about 4pm, so super late lunch/early dinner, it was not busy. Our server was fast with the waters and took our beer orders. They have a decent selection of some good beer. We ordered cheese curds, they were highly recommend by my annoying car salesperson, the burger of the month which was the Umami with red smash potatoes, and a El Cubano burger that did not come with sides. The cheese curds were some of the best I've had. Summit beer battered, with a smoked tomato ketchup. I have to be honest here. I hadn't read the description so when they first came I grabbed a golden nugget, dipped it in the ketchup, and tossed it in my mouth. I was immediately confused, but in a happy, excited way. I was convinced they somehow made these cheese curds over a charcoal grill and managed to still get the fried goodness on them...then it was politely pointed out to me that the smoke was coming from the ketchup. Oops, well now I just feel foolish. The burgers were good, not "oh my gosh I can't get enough good" though. The Umami burger was cooked nicely, pink in the middle, it was topped with some crispy yummy pork belly, and fried onions. There was a little too much spicy mayo, it made the burger even heavier than it already was. The smash potatoes were really greasy, nothing special. It was basically potato chunks beaten with a mallet then fried. The El Cubano burger with ham and roasted pork, was saved by the pickle. The tangy crunch added much needed flavor. The buns were both borderline dry, and too puffy. Overall, the food was good, but overpriced. Paying over $10 for just a burger is steep. Shoot, at least gimme some chips then. The restaurant was very clean and the open concept gives you a view of a television at any angle for sports fans. However, the art was creepy as heck. Service was wonderful, fast, and friendly. I'd be back for cheese curds, some beer, and maybe a basic burger. You can find 5 star burgers at divey restaurants, with better prices, and great service at many other joints in the twin cities.

I liked this place! We were on a road trip and had walked into a fine grill type restaurant, sat down, looked at the menu and realized it was just too stuffy for our tastes at that moment. The waiter at that place said we should just go across the parking lot to one of his favorite places for a really fantastic burger. We took him up on the suggestion and were happy we did. This is basically a create your own burger diner-type restaurant. Everything you can think of is available, including, ahem, "government cheese":blink: I wasn't very creative; I had the party melt with caramelized onions, cheddar, and bacon. It was everything I had hoped it would be. His had fried egg, onion rings, 3 cheeses, bacon, lettuce, mayo. I don't know how, but he ate every single bite of that thing lol. Waffle fries were also good. Service was excellent. It's not the best burger I've ever had by a long shot, but it was good and I'd return!

Cheese curds were really great, burger was good too but a little spendy. I did not like their smashed fries, but I would proabbly try them again.

Mr. Burger Jones! Pass me a bottle or maybe a pint of delicious draft brew Mr. Burger Jones and I'll believe in you. Heck, I'll help you believe in anything you want including believing in the outstanding food being served at you guessed, Burger Jones. I wanted to be someone who believes that this place had delicious food after our friends Jake and Teresa told us all about Burger Jones, we had to try it for ourselves. You won't get to see them Spanish dances unless someone maybe had a few too many cold ones, but that's ok. We'll just leave the dancing with the Counting Crows for now and dig into what makes this place so awesome. For starters, they have some of my favorite brews on tap that you simply won't find anywhere else. Those brews happen to be, Traveler Beer Co. out of Vermont and Horny Goat Brewing Co. out of Milwaukee, WI. They just taste so delicious! As we look to the very near future while sipping on some cold brew, I asked our server what the #1 selling burger was. He replied with, "The BYOB is probably our best, but after that, the Bacon Cheese Burger." You can get a bacon cheese burger anywhere and I was in the mood for something different. I asked him about the Green Chili Burger and his take on their Juicy. He said the Green Chili is another hot seller and what I was about to hear pertaining to the juicy, was unexpected actually, but I agreed with him. He said, "We have awesome 80/20 beef here and burgers should be pink, I want to taste my burger (so true). We cook our juicy too long, so it gets well done to ensure we cook it thoroughly and the cheese is melted correctly." It is indeed a science and serving a juicy pink with melted cheese can be attainable, but they just didn't get it yet. The Green Chili with pepper jack cheese and an onion ring was "Standin' in the spotlight" and I really like spicy things these days, so I went with it. That was an awesome decision on my part! Probably one of the better burgers I've ever had and the green chili salsa they made was just the right amount of heat. I would have never considered salsa on my burger years ago, but it's a must try. My wife decided to do a BYOB and make a custom Turkey Burger. She added the traditional fixins' of lettuce, tomato and pickles along with pepper jack cheese and Chipotle Aioli. To most restaurants, a turkey burger is just another frozen patty pulled from the freezer, thrown on the flat top and cooked to a specified temp. At Burger Jones, it's divine! It had great flavor and the addition of the aioli made it that much better. Again, it's a must try! Finally, and definitely not even close to least, Burger Jones is providing their patrons with the very best fries you'll find in the Twin Cities, period! Hand-cut russet fries, but the kicker, they're the skinny fries. That's right, hand-cut skinny fires! My wife and I love these things and they're hard to find with just a few places we know of serving them. I don't wanna just be about as happy as I can be, I really want to be happy when I eat food. At Burger Jones, you'll be happy and I have a feeling they're going to be big stars. I think when we return for seconds, I might have to try the Happy Pooch - a bacon wrapped hot dog or maybe the Santa Fe - chorizo burger with fried egg, sliced avocado, pepperjack and house-made guajillo salsa.

My wife and I visited in late October 2014 for the second time this year. I wasn't overly impressed on our first visit during the past summer, but I am always willing to try a place twice before concluding if I'll be back for a third or more visit, etc. I'm not afraid to eat almost anything and I'm not a picky eater. I wasn't overly impressed with the burgers the first visit, but was blown away with the cheese curds. (they aren't cheap at around $10, but the smoky flavor sets them apart). You do get a nice quantity so I will admit it's almost worth the price. During our second visit, we had the deepfried mushrooms at $4 during happy hour. They are very good also...different because they have little breading on them, but still very good and my wife really liked them also. Burgers...$10-12. I will summarize my review to keep this short. Fresh and great ingredients, juicy pink beef, but once again, no "wow factor". I think a bakery bun at Cub foods taste better than those at BJ's, and the beef...no flavor...no seasoning or good grill flavor. For the price (and I understand meat prices are high these days) and the overall burger package, I would expect more flavor. Honestly, an $8 burger at Applebees's tastes better and I feel more like I got my money's worth than BJ's. My tall Schell's Oktoberfest beer was $5, so I think getting it for $3.50 or $4 elsewhere along with a better tasting burger will be by future preference. Burger Jone's...great place for yuppies who think spending a lot of money on a burger is the trend. If you want to spend $12 for a burger that will sweep you off your feet...keep looking. I'm sorry for a poor review. I know the bartender at BJ's but I honestly think they meat needs to be seasoned and taste better, and they should at least look for a vendor with better tasting bakery buns that actually have flavor.

Went here last night after traveling into Burnsville for business. The waitress was super helpful and my colleague and I were able to sample some of the massive amount of beers on tap. After we settled on what we were drinking we had the cheeseburger spring rolls, which were fantastic. Not too long after we got our burgers. I got the hangover burger, (don't worry, I wasn't drunk) which had bacon, an egg, and hot sauce all on an english muffin. Talk about tasty! Not to mention the fries that we ordered as well. My colleague enjoyed his green chile burger as well. Definitely recommend to come here if you like craft beers and crazy burgers.

Way too greasy. I had a stomach ache after eating half my burger. The meat was mushy and bland. I asked for sriracha (which they don't carry - GET WITH IT) and our waiter brought out a house made sriracha mayo. Disgusting. It was runny and tasted like watered down buffalo sauce. Will not be going back.

I love burgers, so I reaaaaaally want to like Burger Jones- honestly, I do! The concept is great, the menu is full of "oh gawd that sounds sinful" burgers, and the bar is stocked with an impressive beer selection, tasty house mixies, and alcoholic milk shakes. ...but if you're going to pride yourself on being a hip burger joint and justify charging $10-$13 bucks for a burger with no sides, then you really need to make an outstanding burger- the kind of burger that could stand alone: just juicy, flavorful meat, a bun, and maybe a slice of cheese and simple ketchup/mustard condiments if you're feeling frisky. Burger Jones does not have that kind of burger. Maybe that's why they need 20+ quirky ad-ons and a whole lotta' bun to cover up such a dismal patty?

I went to this location as well as the Calhoun location. Both times it was underwhelming. The shakes for 6$ are like milk with chocolate in them, I want my shake to be thicker like ice cream was used to make it. The burger at the Calhoun location had a very dry bun that tasted slightly stale. The second burger at Burnsville location was better but not worth 10$ without a side of fries! This place is overpriced to say the least, and the food is mediocre. Stick with five guys for a real burger and fries.

Dependable for good burgers and shakes, but nothing out of this world. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of booths and outdoor seating. In addition to their burger list, you can build your own with the option of having a beef, turkey, chicken, bison (additional cost), pulled pork, or veggie patty. Fries do not come with the burgers - regular ($1.99), parmesan waffle ($2.99), or maple bacon sweet potato ($2.99), so the meal price adds up quickly - especially if you ordered a drink. I ordered the Sante Fe burger - chorizo burger with fried egg, sliced avocado, pepperjack cheese, and house-made guajillo salsa and really liked it! I think this burger place is exactly what you would expect it to be. Consistent quality, decent service, good beer list. I mean, burgers are burgers and ice cream is ice cream, so the quality can't deviate that much, right?

Overall average to slightly above average burger joint. Have been here about 5 times and nothing has ever wowed me but none if the burgers have blown me away either. However you can customize your burger about 100 different ways which I great for a guy like me that always wants something different Today's meal was the burger jones version of the Jucy Lucy called the Chubby Cheddar but unfortunately the cheese was missing from inside :( Fries are excellent, they are thin so they go cold quicker and not quite as crispy as I prefer. It's never that busy so anytime is a good time to drop by. Although its average I do recommend trying it at least once, plus there is only so many burger joints in the area with a full bar

Albeit subjective, I compare every burger, to my control group i.e. IN &OUT and Five guys. Burger Jones simply doesn't make my list of places I would frequent. No Bull, the fries were very salty, the bun had a neat branding on it, however, was almost too big for a single burger, although toasted, it wasn't warm. Service was two stars, atmosphere a four. But, if your in the neighbor give it a try maybe your criteria will rate it higher.

My boyfriend and I went here to try something different since we both had never been here before. The service was horrible, probably the worst service I have ever had and I eat out a lot. The food was decent but nothing to get excited about. Overall this place was meh. Never going back again after the dreadful service.

Had to try the Wisconsin Kroll's Tavern Butter Burger. Never had the "original" but this one was pretty tasty. Now we have a reason to head to Green Bay and compare! Also, tried the Red Velvet milk shake. Not bad but I think I'll stick with the traditional chocolate malt or Twixie Tweet. Every day has a drink special to enjoy. Today was Martini Friday.

We dine here pretty often as we live nearby and it's definitely a favorite. I usually get the turkey club burger (junior size) and my family always gets a fry tower. I love the different fries offered and the dipping sauces... The chipotle aioli is a favorite! Staff is always very friendly and they have a great happy hour that we like to hit Friday nights. Our food did take a little longer than usual at our visit tonight but they were extremely busy and the manager was apologetic and offered us some compensation without us even saying anything, which we thought was really kind and admirable. Overall, we love this place... Good food and service. The only thing you have to watch is the price because if you build your own burger some of the options can get pricey and the drinks are a bit spendy if you're not there for HH.
