I have been waiting for Pinkberry to open up! (sound like a familiar line? Just look at everyone else's reviews!) I no longer have to wait for my annual trip to NYC to get some of this delicious frozen yogurt. I know others make similar products, but this is still my holy grail. I love adding mochi, and then tons of fresh fruit. Original is always my favorite, but grapefruit is pretty awesome too. Yay for Macy's to bring Pinkberry to Minneapolis!

When i lived in CA a new type of frozen yogurt place sprung up and became alltherage -- a "real" tart frozen yogurt with fruit as toppings. The pioneer in this type of place was Pinkberry. It celebrates the actual taste of yogurt versus trying to have frozen yogurt emulate (and miss) ice cream. Not sure how this will go over with midwestern tastes (have you been a WI grocery store ice cream aisle???) but the tart plain frozen yogurt is the only way to go if you don't go super high end ice cream. But -- Google it -- you will find that the centimillionaire co-founder/owner of Pinkberry was arrested last year for allegedly nearly beating to death a homeless man who asked him for spare change. So, I'm thankful that Pinkberry started this genre of frozen yogurt, but just on principle alone I go to other places. Locally, my favorite so far is Yogurt Lab with Menchies as a second favorite. 4 Stars for being awesome. -3 for Homeless Man beatings.

When I was in New York and California a couple years back I completely fell in love with Pinkberry. When the froyo craze swept through Minnesota this past year, I couldn't help but compare every other place to Pinkberry. Imagine my delight when I literally stumbled into this Pinkberry. It is located on the first floor of Macy's in MOA so the location is a bit annoying but the froyo is literally the best in MN. Get an original in medium with some fruit and chocolate wafers. You can thank me later!

I wandered into Pinkberry the other day with no idea what to expect. Obviously I've heard of it seeing as every tabloid has had a picture of some celebrity eating it. So I'm glad Macy's worked something out and now has a location with in their Mall of America store. The girl behind the counter was really nice as I explained to her I had no idea what I was doing exactly. She gave me a sample of a couple and I decided to go with a peach and coconut twist. She then said I could add whatever toppings would fit. I selected mango, raspberries and chocolate shavings. She put a generous amount of each on top. She asked if I was taking it with me and would like a lid or would be eating it there. I said a lid would be great so I could take it back to the break room. The girl behind the counter quickly offered to put on a mall discount of 10%. Hey! Every penny counts. She then handed me a punch card of sorts to keep me coming back. I walked back over to my place of employment, also the rival department store, and was super excited about my lunch choice. The yogurt was obviously yogurt, it didn't have that ice cream texture like some chains do. The flavor was great, the peach over powered the coconut a bit, but I couldn't complain. The fruit was ripe and sweet, not questionably frozen and thawed like a lot of places. I loved the crunch of the chocolate and it was the perfect amount. I would say the small size was right, I didn't need more and I wasn't left wishing I had gotten the next size. I will def be back, especially since I have a punch card now.

Yummy! Love it. The frozen yogurt is of the perfect consistency: creamy but still firm. I sampled three different flavors -- original, mango, and salted caramel -- before settling on the former two. The original was tart and sweet, a great compliment to fruit toppings. The mango also goes well with fruit, and it definitely has that mango essence in the flavor. The salted caramel was surprisingly rich and salty, more suited to the more chocolatey sweet toppings. Now the thing I like about pinkberry is that they let you top it with as many toppings that can fit in the cup and they charge by size, not weight. We topped our medium-size mango+original yogurt with mango, blueberry, strawberry, pomegranate seeds, mochi and a waffle cookie. Overall it was a pretty generous helping; definitely enough to satisfy two college students. Plus the ingredients were fresh so it was a very enjoyable treat. Only downside is that it's in a weird location; it's in the lower level of Macy's by the cosmetics department. Not exactly the most conventional, and it has pretty limited seating. Also, in response to the review below alleging that the co-founder of Pinkberry beat a homeless guy: while it's true that one of the co-founders did get arrested for assault, he wasn't even affiliated with Pinkberry at the time nor does the company really have anything to do with the crime...

So happy a Pinkberry finally came to MN. I am a big frozen yogurt fan and have tried many of the chains that have opened in MN. Can't beat the original! You have to get the cinnamon honey drizzle on too, it is delish

My friend had been raving about Pinkberry for years, as she travels to Los Angeles often. I was excited that I finally got to try it here in MN. I checked out their website and was excited to try an array of frozen yogurt flavors. I was a little disappointed that there were only 6 flavors of fro-yo to chose from. I get that it's a smaller location tucked inside of Macy's, so that's why they don't have as much variety. It was good, and I got a lot of toppings piled into my medium cup. I went with the original but got chocolate candy and granola toppings which doesn't go too well with the tart original fro-yo--it'd be better with the fruit toppings. I'll remember that for next time and go with a sweeter base. I hope we get more locations in the future!

Fro yo heaven! Thumbs up: flavors ( I personally love the original with nutella and mochi toppings) They charge extra for the nutella, but well worth it! concept toppings variety Thumbs down: location (only at the M.O.A. here in MN) I will be back anytime I decide to go to the big box mall!

There's quite of a few froyo places in the Mall Of America knowing that Pinkberry is a chain I really wanted to see what they had. Like the other reviewers have mentioned the actual location is a bit off inside Macy's its small with few seats good during weekdays when there isn't much foot traffic but during weekends I could see it being a mess. My favorite has to be the Tart flavor. The nice thing is you can have as many toppings as you want that would fit inside the cup. I love the fresh pomegranate seeds and the toasted almonds both are two toppings I don't see in other froyo locations. Everyone seemed very friendly and ready to help the cashier even gave me a punch card once filled you get a free cup! Definitely will be back, whenever I go shopping Pinkberry makes a nice treat for a hard day of finding good deals.

Yea!!! Pinkberry has finally arrived in Minnesota. This place is as good as it gets and there yogurt and toppings are the best ever! The location is kinda strange that its tucked inside Macy's, but whatever its Pinkberry and its so delicious. Open more locations in Minnesota!!

This is frozen yogurt, you come here for the real thing. Those other colorful fake knockoff fro-yo places are nothing compared to the real deal. Trust me, your mind will change when you try pinkberry. Great tasting frozen yogurt and toppings, they taste better and its easy to tell.

I love the slightly tangy taste and the creamy texture and oh how it's so perfect with fruit..blueberries, kiwi, strawberries, respberries...mmmm .and I am allowed to have just about every fruit I want as long as much as it can fit in the cup! Pinkberry, you rock~~ and you give me a reason to stop by at Macy's @ the Mall of America!

FIRST Pinkberry in MN?? wow!!! I am so glad MN-an's can finally try this without going out-of-state. I've always been a fan and I'm glad they finallyyyyy opened a store here. It's also a plus that it's inside the MoA so we can grab a cup and eat while it's negative degrees outside!

You haven't lived until you've had yourself a big serving of pinkberry. Make sure and try the vanilla latte frozen yogurt with some fresh fruit and cookie dough bites. The staff could try to wear clean aprons, but this is the Mall of America so no complaints.

THE BEST FRO YO! Visiting from out of town and I could cry knowing we don't have these at home. The red velvet flavor is something I'll be dreaming about.

Perfectly OK frozen yogurt, but I have to say no where close to what TruBerry--the current class leader--has on offer. Flavors are good, but I guess I just prefer to add my own combination of toppings. Staff were a bit confused on offerings, and the menu board was wrong. I do like the decor of the shop, the tables, floors and other elements are attractive and well integrated into the overall design. Maybe I liked Pinkberry better in NYC because it was in NYC?

I've been waiting for Pinkberry to come to MN for a long time after falling in love with it while in NY. I was so happy to see they have a location in MOA! It is a little strange being in Macy's, I would like if there was more of a sit down area. Only two tables and some white table things that I didn't know if you were supposed to sit on? Otherwise the froyo was amazing! I love the Mango flavor. I also like that you can add as many toppings as will fit and it you just get charged for the size, and a small is just the right amount for one person. If you have never had Pinkberry before you should def give it a try!
