i've stayed at Days Inn and Motel 6s for most of my life, so my standards, I believe are a little lower when it comes to what makes a good hotel. I liked this place, it's right across the street from the Mall of America and has all the amenities you could ask for in a good hotel. The service is great. The only thing I would complain about is this place's layout - it's designed like a maze. Seriously, I don't know what the hell they were on when they built this layout, but it must've been some good shit to come up with this weird layout.

This is a nice hotel, and a good bargain at just over $100/night. I've stayed in nicer Marriotts, but they were the $175-$200 per night variety. The location is great -- right across the street from the Mall of America and only about 10 minutes from the airport. They offer a shuttle to both, by the way. Staff was very friendly and helpful, perhaps even more so than the more expensive hotels I've stayed in before. The room was pretty nice, and a good size. I had a queen bed and the room had enough space for a couch and a sizey office/table area. I would definitely stay here again when in Minneapolis.

I usually stay at Courtyard Marriotts rather than the full-service ones like this. I didn't really take advantage of any extra amenities except for having dinner in the sports bar inside the hotel. It was pretty good (actually our food was from the menu of the fancy restaurant next door). I have heard some people say that the full service Marriotts are an upgrade over the other brands..but I can't really tell the difference, especially when it comes to the rooms. Actually I take that back, the bed had a pillowtop and it was nice and comfy. The wireless internet didn't work for me in the lobby. The towels they provide aren't soft at all.. it must be a Marriott thing, because they are the same as the Courtyard towels. Almost like sandpaper.

I had to stay here on business, and it was going ok. Ok food, ok room. Then it happened. I got a call at 12:10am to ask what my departure time from the hotel would be. Seriously! I gave the guy what for, and he began to explain how it was my fault! Not kidding. At 12:10am. Now I'm writing this review at 1:30am because I can't get back to sleep. uggg. find another hotel close by.

I stayed here 3 nights a week, almost every week for over a year. To be honest...the place is kind of a dump. The staff is nice, the conceirge lounge is great if you are an elite member but the gym is miserable and the rooms feel like you are in the 1970s. Also, full service Marriott's generally charge for add-ons like internet. For business travelers it isn't a big deal because your company picks it up but for regular travelers, it isn't worth it. Save yourself a few bucks and book the Courtyard down the street.

It's called the airport Marriott but should more accurately be called the Mall of America Marriott or Ikea Marriott - both within easy walking distance. This is a strange Marriott in that it's very long and not all buildings are connected on all floors. Clean rooms, typical Marriott quality facility and service. Will stay here on next visit to Bloomington.

Hotel didn't have any Internet which is really unacceptable for a whole hotel not to have a spare router. But, they helped me get a room at a nearby hotel since they didn't have the Internet.
