Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. First time here. Was smart to meet a friend at 11. I love the burgers my way. A burger condiment bar. Onions were thin but could be thinner. I got a bacon cheddar burger, no complaints. I love the steak fries. What impressed me the most was the Jetson's style touch soda fountain. This place gets packed fast. I love the location just off the France exit, before the real traffic starts.

I drive from New Brighton for these burgers. They're perfect. The ordering and grill area is on one side and the dessert area is way on the other side and they don't communicate well. I ordered brownies and they were out but the cashier had no idea. I had to wait for fresh brownies but I got them for free.

I gotta say, I had not had a Fuddruckers burger since 05. With all the craze in gourmet burgers sweeping the nation and so many tasty dining options, it seems, popping up on every corner, Fuddruckers still lives up to being one of the true originals! Their no fuss burgers are cheap, made to order fresh, juicy, served up on a hot buttered bun and absolutely delicious! We did a double take at the bill and thought they only charged us for one meal... $6 for a mouthwatering made to order 1/3 lb Beef burger and a $10 juicy healthy Bison half pounder. We were so impressed, that we've stopped in 3 times since rediscovering this gem a few weeks ago! Too bad there's only this one location in the Twin Cities. Lets just pray that they never close this institution down.

This place is the last refuge of broken dreams. It reeks of desperation and desolation. Sticky floors and weak chairs will not comfort you. Enjoyment be lost as you recall past failures and love lost. Morose. Lonely. Sick. But still... pretty good. Pretty good.

Burgers are good, but someone needs to learn how to cook fries. The fries here are consistently bad--either undercooked or soggy. Hint: make sure the oil is at temperature before adding the potatoes. If it isn't, they come out oily and/or soggy, if not underdone. They've been good about replacing bad fries, but I'm tired of sending my fries back and having to wait.

We went in expecting delicious burgers and that's exactly what we got! There was no line on a Tuesday night at 530. We ordered immediately and then seated ourselves. The booth smelled funky and was dirty. We got our burgers and went to the "topping bar" . The lettuce was very fresh and crispy. The peppercini(sp) had a hair in them :/ very un appetizing. Despite getting no more toppings , the burgers were delicious! Perfectly cooked and hot The pictures on the wall were dirty and greasy. It just felt like everything had been washed with a dirty rag. The milkshakes were amazing!! You got extra in a cup and they were so tasty!! I would probably not return because I need a clean place to eat.

Delicious food and super friendly staff! Tables were a little sticky but otherwise the place was clean! Will be back!

I have been going to Fuddruckers for years now. Both my wife and I are usually very satisfied. My wife loves their buns and eats them separately from the burger patty. She also is happy that they have Heinz 57 steak sauce available. I love their fries and the cheese sauce with jalapenos. Keep up the good work!

WOW. The previous reviews had me questioning my decision to visit, but I hadn't been to Fuddruckers in 6 years (since the one's in Colorado closed). Now I am wishing I had heeded previous warnings. No long lines as one review said, no line at all. It was almost barren, I was waiting for a tumbleweed to roll through. Also, no dry burger as previously posted (that may depend on how you order it cooked though). I had the BBQ burger, and I am not sure anything had any taste. The sauce was boring, the grilled onions were actually chewy and were way to long. Took a bite and pulled a 7 inch long onion out of the burger. The menu said it had bacon, I saw bacon on it, but there was NO bacon taste and NO crispy bacon crunch. Next the potato wedges (they call them fries) were mushy, however they did taste ok. Onion rings were flavorless and the coating fell off if you just looked at them. At least they had a great soda machine that had all of it's varieties working, horrible that was the bright spot. wanted a burger.....and I still do.

As a burger lover, I do NOT understand the appeal of this place. My wife likes it, but I think it's because she has fond memories of her family going there as a kid. The restaurant is gross. And I'm not talking about the food. (I'll get to that in a min.) We've been here a total of four or five times over the course of about three or four years, and every time we go, I'm just disgusted with the condition of the restaurant. The tables are always sticky. Always. The chairs are falling apart, the roof in that tent area is super saggy and gross, and for some reason, the place is always weirdly humid. I feel like I need a shower after eating there. The condiment area is always a sticky gross mess of dripping ketchup and sauces. There's little fruit flies buzzing all around the open salad bar/pickle area. The food is terrible. My wife loves it. I do not see the appeal of waiting in a line to over-pay for a dried out hamburger that you later have to assemble yourself. I don't mind waiting in a line for a good burger, at say Matt's or Five Guys, but the burgers here are never good. Sometimes the onion rings are ok, but they're always inconsistent. It's just a really sad, gross, terrible place. You can tell I love my wife because I go along and try to keep the comments to myself, but It's not a place I enjoy going; and I really don't see what other people like about it.

It's funny, now that there are fancy burger joints all over the place this spot, the granddaddy of the "gourmet" burger spots, doesn't seem so special anymore. Don't get me wrong, they still serve tasty burgers pretty quickly and they still have pretty much the same "fixin's" bar so you can add some veggies. But instead of feeling like a "classic" it feels a little dated and old. The prices are decent and competitive, around $10 for a 1/3 pound burger, fries and a drink and there are still plenty of tables making it a good spot for groups or sports teams. Decent but no longer memorable but if you want a fast burger with easy parking and plenty of room to sit, this place will do.
(3)Cynthia E.
Iv been coming here since i was like 7 iv always like the place never had a complaint they have like a bar where u can spice up your food when you get it i was get the inferno burger but today i got nachos and fries and omg super bomb!
(4)Tony K.
Great for a chain place, I ordered a deluxe burger with bacon and mushrooms on it and once at the topping bar I added lettuce tomato, onions, pickles, mayo, spicy brown mustard and cheese sauce and also got some cheese sauce for my fries and it was great. I really loved how fresh the ingredients are for the toppings, I was in burger heaven and my 4 year old daughter loved her chicken bacon swiss sandwich with fries and oreo ice cram treat and my 85 year old grandma loved her burger and fries as well. If I was to have a complaint of this place it has nothing to do with food quality or customer service at all is the other customers were annoyingly slow at the topping bar and fountain pop machine, like dude it doesnt take 20 freaking minutes to put toppings on your burger or to refill your pop glass and then sit their blocking the fountain machine before you even know what pop you want. I had to put all of the fixings on my daughters as well as mine and my grandmas burgers because my 4 year old would drop her plate and my grandma has joint issues so needs assistance just walking let alone carrying a plate and walking to table on top of that, so like 10 minutes after we got food I was back at table because of other people dinking around, pay attention if thats you and get the hell out of the way. The customer service was great here as when we were done eating my daughter wanted kiddie toy junk out of a vending machine and while putting my dollar worth of quarters in machine the toy which was a ball rolled out of the machine on the floor then underneath another game machine and my baby was heart broken for a minute cause she thought she lost her toy, wrong, the manager on duty came to the rescue and moved the machine the ball was stuck under and retrieved the ball for her. That was awesome. Also my bill was under 40 bucks for 3 meals and desert for me and my daughter and they dont ask if you want to tip on there reciept you have to sign if you use your credit card which is annoying that other places that do do that and your not getting waitor service or a pizza delivered to you rather you pick it up they try to make you feel obligated to still tip even though me the customer is still doing some of the work to get myself a meal and not being brought to my table or door. Everyone was stuffed after leaving so I definetly got my moneys worth and the food was great. I wish they still had the Roseville location as I loved Fuddruckers as a kid too but never go anymore because I live in Maplewood and am rarely in the southwest metro so I probably wont be a frequent customer at this location but if they start building locations in the east metro again they will definetly get more of my business, hint hint Fuddruckers CEO.

Really not the experience I was expecting. I'm not a fan of the cafeteria style ordering. I didn't feel that my money went very far there. Ordered a chocolate shake which arrived just as I finished eating and tasted like they started with vanilla and briefly changed to chocolate when they realized the mistake. Really wanted a beer to go with my burger, but apparently there is no bartender there on a Sunday afternoon. Very disappointing experience.

Back when TCBY was popular, Fuddruckers had fantastic burgers and lines at this location (the first?) we're out the door. I remember my father parking on the side of the building (fire lane) so we could jump in line quickly. They had a nice big window in the waiting line to see the fudds butcher take cows held on meat hooks and chop them up and ground into fresh delicious fudd burgers Well the place has changed and the old school Spy Hunter arcade has been exchanged for multiple kid friendly games. But the burgers still have a great unique taste you can't get anywhere else and the fries are wonderful as well. They now have Coca Cola freestyle machines and the fresh baked bread and cookies are wonderful. Sometimes the burgers are under or overcooked but always delicious. I crave myself a fuddruckers burger at least twice a year.
(5)Amy B.
Burgers are great, fries are seasoned well. The restaurant itself is outdated and could use a good cleaning (chairs sticky, food on floor) but well worth it for the burgers and condiment bar. We went 5p on a Saturday night and by 6p noticed the line was out the door, they went down to one cash register due to no seating. They take reservations, though.

I worked at a fuddruckers when it was open in burnsville,mn. Now this is the last one left. I have eaten at the In and out burger in california. And this is right up there with it. Fresh fixins polite staff and a pleasant and clean atmosphere make this great for families. Please help keep this wonderful place open, and have one of the best burgers in minnesota.
(5)Kaeli N.
Great burger!! My husband and I tried some of the exotic meats and were presently pleaded. Fries are great but a bit over seasoned. The kid who took our order was pleasant and friendly when taking our order. Food took a little bit longer than I would have thought but it was fresh and hot. The place was clean, someone was always cleaning off tables. Would eat here again.

Went by myself in the late afternoon. No lines, prompt service but the guy at the counter asked me twice what I wanted, not the smartest. Waited at the bar for my food and wasn't asked if I wanted a drink. Was on the phone when my order came up, so I waited to finish my conversation before retrieving my food. The same guy who took my order interrupted my conversation to tell me it was up which would have been nice if I hadn't been paying attention but the buzzer was in my hand and I was clearly on the phone, so I found it more rude. Service: sub par? The burger was still warm when I got it but the beef was tough, overly greasy and bland. I should have sent it back but didn't want to deal with the hassle of refunding my money. I'll never eat here again. There are so many good burger places, this isn't one of them.
(1)Michelle A.
I am always here when I am in town. Winnipeg used to have one eons ago, so this location is very popular with the Peggers. Always a good burger, love the cool soda machine. The hot cheese sauce is the best way to eat the fries.
(5)Shawn N.
Slightly has gone downhill. But for the most part it is amazing food minus the famous 1 pound burger unless specially ordered. Always busy.
(4)Michael C.
I've been eating at this place since I was a teenager (over 20 years)They consistently deliver a solid burger, excellent buttery bun, and great fries. The shakes are delicious as well. It's just quality food at a reasonable price with good fixins. It's not fancy just solid and reliable for decades. I can't say that about too many other restaurants. Of course I'm only referring to the burgers. I haven't tried anything else.
(5)Séamus M.
Uuhh awkward times. Food it good, the ordering and then having to walk over to the bar for another bar is odd. The place was pretty dead and seemed run down. There is some weird guy eating the burger toppings off a napkin. Odd place

One of the first things I did when I moved to the Twin Cities and google the nearest Fuddruckers. There are about 20+ Fuddruckers in Houston (they are HQ-ed there) and it's always a favorite of mine. The first time I ate at Fuddruckers, I was 8 years old and the principal of my elementary school took me and another kid there for winning the essay contest "Principal for a day". I took my parents here afterward and it has become my dad's favorite too... except he can never quite pronounce it. Depending on the day it could be "Foot Locker" or "Food Rocker" (that's what happens when you're parents are Asian). My family and I have been going religiously and I've even had a birthday party there. Gotta love chain restaurants to make your favorite places consistent no matter where you are. I was jumping with joy seeing the oldies decorations, the wooden furniture, the big disco looking booths, and arcade games! I can't tell you how many stuffed animal toys I have from there. Leave Fuddruckers to season your beef right on a buttery bun and the rest is up to you. There are so many ways to make your burger the way you like it...of you don't like you're burger at Fudd's it's pretty much your fault! There's a fresh produce bar where you can find whole leafs of lettuce, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, diced tomatoes, sliced onions, diced onions and pickles. Along the side are a variety of sauces (mayo, mustard, bbq sauce, A1, tobasco). They also have a huge tub of melted cheddar cheese and jalapeno cheese. Perfect to dip your seasoned wedges in or put on your burger! This time I got the 1/3 swiss burger combo (swiss cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms). The mushrooms are oh so good. Topped my order off with a cookies & cream milk shake.
(5)Ameena R.
Love the elk Burger... Must have!
(4)Whitney G.
I miss going to Fuddruckers from when I was a kid. This is the only location I know of in the Twin Cities area, and the warm and friendly atmosphere has not changed. I do enjoy the condiment bar and being able to pick my own toppings, though you do pay a bit more than some of the other burger joints around the cities that offer wait service.
(3)Kelsey G.
Service was poor. They got our order wrong and we had to wait a half an hour for a shake. All that aside, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is fun. It's a medium-priced burger place thats good for bigger groups. We went late on a weeknight so it was not very crowded, so I can't comment on how they handle rush-hours,but our food came out quickly,
(3)Jessica K.
So we have returned after a horrible visit since the bf loves this place and hasnt been the minnesota one. While the food was decent, the atmosphere is in severe need of help. I am suprised this place stays busy with how questionable the upkeep is...

I started going to Fudds when they first opened. (Many years now) They had fabulous hamburgers fries and malts! Today, they are a sad memory of the past. They recently took the meat cleaver formerly used in creating fine hamburger, and now use it slash quality at every turn of the card! The hamburger is now a very tasteless 'matter' I suspect additives/filler, the onion rings are now an 'off white', as opposed to golden brown. (also tasteless) The Coke is rather watered down IMO Fries were the best part of the meal, but usually get them near cold. . Most of the staff appear non English speaking, whilst not able or bothering to read your order. i.e. you can order the burger any way you want it! But you'll get what you get in my experience there. Even the pickles appear to be some bizarre tasting items. Onions appear to be dehydrated as well. Just a LOT of quality cuts IMO. We stopped going there about 4 months ago. Too painful to watch and experience. You would think with a stand alone restaurant and the bills and taxation they must be subject to, that they wouldn't want to tamper with food quality. But like many, they think cutting quality is cheaper than getting new customers. I couldn't agree less. KEEP the quality, RAISE THE PRICE! Try other alternatives IMO. Fudds paradigm is not shared by this afficianado. We stopped by one in Wisconsin coming back from Chicago. Same/Same IMO.

This is essentially a burger joint. Yes, I have a lot love for this place when I was a kid in the 80s with their snappy slogan, "...you wouldn't believe how big it is @ Fudd..." That aside here is my pros and cons: Pros: * Kids love this place - free big cookie, corny art decor...Not sure 100% why but it works and my kids loves it. * Every kind burgers for everyone - Bison, Tuna, Ostrich, Elk, etc... * $1/bottle of beer pretty much every night. * Condiments bar is 2nd to NONE... Fresh chopped 'salsa'(tomatoes, onions, herbs, etc), jalepenos, cheese sause(jalenpos and regular). Essentially, they don't miss anything - trust me. * A free big cookie for most meals... * Very nice shakes. * Where else can you get a 1# burger... Cons: * Noise and lots of noise - again, kids love it. Some adults not so much. * It is expensive for a family of 4 ~ $55-65 easy.
(3)Jason K.
Great burgers and fries and onion rings with all the fixins you could want.
(4)Craig C.
I went to Fuddruckers last night for take-out. I placed the order online via their website. The food was just about to be bagged up for me as I walked up to the counter. The people were great. The one downfall was the dining room and the restrooms. They both looked like a tornado ran through them. Yuk! Thank god we were doing take-out.
(3)Trevor G.
Good food great manager!!! My wife worked late I had to feed our 3 kids and I don't cook. We went to Fuddruckers while waiting for our food the manager walked by and offered to sit at our table with my 7 month old while I took my 3 and 6 year old to pick our food. We came back to the table and then he offered to refill all our beverages. I should have got his name but I'm very grateful to the dark haired manager with a goatee. Thank you!
(5)Cait B.
I'm not a huge fan of chains, but this one is awesome. They have amazing burgers. Juicy, flavorful, a mouthful...that's what she said. It is a cool atmosphere for families and they also have a bar if you want something to take the edge off.
(4)Stephanie K.
Fuddrucker's is one of my all time favorite spots to get a hamburger. They make their buns fresh and they are the best I've ever had. I also love the thick, crispy wedge fries with extra seasoning salt. Fudds has a great condiment bar so it's very easy to customize your burger with all the toppings you want in the quantity you want. Fudds is super casual and not fancy but sometimes you want to wear sweatpants to a restaurant :P The only reason I give Fudds 4 stars is their bathroom is icky (cheap furnishings, smells like cleaning products, advertisements everywhere, run down). Fudd's isn't known so much for their bakery but definitely get the buns to go and cookies as well. Their cookies are so tasty!
(4)Justin K.
The Fudd, as we like to call it, is an institution that my wife refuses to give up on. It's a pretty solid burger joint, although it's hard to see them lasting much longer with a Five Guys down the street, let alone an onslaught of other specialty burgers popping up on menus across the country. What you do get is a tasty burger with their trademark toppings bar--no need to explain to a pimply faced teenager that yes, you really do want a half-inch stack of pickles on your burger, thank you very much. Next time, we're going to give their specialty burgers a try. You can get elk, bison, and wild boar(!), in addition to chicken, turkey, salmon and veggie burgers. It's definitely a good place to bring kids, who seem to flock to the arcade section that hasn't really changed in 20 years. If you're looking for pan-seared foie gras or umami overload, this isn't the place for you. But if you want to kick back and relive the friday nights of your childhood, you can't go wrong with the Fudd.
(3)Emily S.
Fuddruckers is always pretty good. When you are hungry, wanting something delicious, and also don't want to spend an arm and a leg.. this is your place. The burgers are really good. Not to mention how delicious their chicken sandwiches are too! The best thing about this place, is they season their beef pretty well, and the rest is up to you. I'm pretty sure that makes me happy... I don't know about you! I love being able to have total control over my food and wishes. This place is better too, the other location that I've been to, is the one in St. Louis Park. The one in SLP sucks... way too many kids everywhere. Fuddruckers caters to kids, but the one on Minnesota drive seems to have more people leaving work and grabbing a beer after a long day or so.. Not too many kids. Overall, it doesn't seem to bother me.. I will still keep coming here. I enjoy the food too much to stop coming in because of some little shits ruining the vibe.. Oh, and I feel all the locations need a good cleaning.. tons of dirt on the ceiling, and, well.. everywhere!
(5)J.M. E.
I go to Fuddrucker's for one thing: to have a really, really good burger. I've eaten burgers here and there and everywhere, and I always look forward to a half pound of Fudd goodness oozed with pumped cheese and sprinkled with iceburg lettuce. The unnoticed hero of the whole burger is the bun. Delicious. Their fries and malts top it off. I give it 5 stars because I know what to expect, which is consistently the "world's greatest burger" ,and nothing more.
(5)Sarah L.
I have seen Fuddruckers for years and years, even when I used to live in Michigan. But I have never eaten there until being here in the Twin Cities. My fiance at the time, gushed about it...maybe because he was just hungry for a burger, but when you start talking something up to me, I have so pretty high expectations! I was let down the moment I walked in. I felt like we were mice walking through this wooden maze and then I didn't know you kind of make your own burger, but once you get your burger, they have a buffet of condiments and items you put on your burger. Just looking at the array of items was not what I had in mind. I figured buffets are for salads, not burgers. Even still, I didn't find the burger that good. I think that one trip there was good enough for me.
(3)Derek G.
Love the chili dogs and chili fries!
(5)Liz B.
This place is good stuff if you're starving. Which I was on a Saturday afternoon. No breakfast. No lunch. Nothin'. So I decided to drive here for a half a pound of original burger, with cheese please. With my petite self, I certainly looked like a pig. But seriously, I stuffed myself. And you what? It felt sooo freaking GOOD. I also learned something that day. You won't actually feel full until you drink your soda. It's all downhill after and you find yourself back into your apartment with extra pudge in your stomach.

Service: sub par? The burger was still warm when I got it but the beef was tough, overly greasy and bland. I should have sent it back but didn't want to deal with the hassle of refunding my money. I'll never eat here again. There are so many good burger places, this isn't one of them.

Great burgers and fries and onion rings with all the fixins you could want.

Thank you!

I am always here when I am in town. Winnipeg used to have one eons ago, so this location is very popular with the Peggers. Always a good burger, love the cool soda machine. The hot cheese sauce is the best way to eat the fries.

Slightly has gone downhill. But for the most part it is amazing food minus the famous 1 pound burger unless specially ordered. Always busy.

I drive from New Brighton for these burgers. They're perfect. The ordering and grill area is on one side and the dessert area is way on the other side and they don't communicate well. I ordered brownies and they were out but the cashier had no idea. I had to wait for fresh brownies but I got them for free.
(5)Séamus M.
Uuhh awkward times. Food it good, the ordering and then having to walk over to the bar for another bar is odd. The place was pretty dead and seemed run down. There is some weird guy eating the burger toppings off a napkin. Odd place
(3)Cait B.
I'm not a huge fan of chains, but this one is awesome. They have amazing burgers. Juicy, flavorful, a mouthful...that's what she said. It is a cool atmosphere for families and they also have a bar if you want something to take the edge off.

Oh, and I feel all the locations need a good cleaning.. tons of dirt on the ceiling, and, well.. everywhere!

Love the chili dogs and chili fries!

Love the elk Burger... Must have!

So we have returned after a horrible visit since the bf loves this place and hasnt been the minnesota one. While the food was decent, the atmosphere is in severe need of help. I am suprised this place stays busy with how questionable the upkeep is...

Delicious food and super friendly staff! Tables were a little sticky but otherwise the place was clean! Will be back!
