Went to crave for lunch. Had the spicy lamb burger and spaghetti. Was surprised to see it was a sushi bar because our food was so great. The lamb burger was the best I've had since I was in the middle east. It comes with fries and I strongly advise you to put them on top of the burger. All in all not too expensive and delicious. I strongly suggest it if you are in the mall of america.

Dining as good as the original location! This was a fantastic dining option at the MOA. I enjoyed the Happy Hour menu which had many unique choices including suishi. I had a delicious flatbread pizza with pepperoni and feta followed by a spicy salmon roll. My server was very attentive and brough me a refill before I even asked. The prices were reasonable and there were lots of choices.

Tasty French food. Definitely worth a trip, and a nice alternative to the pedestrian food offerings at the nearby Mall of America.

Love the food, this is not my favorite location, though...the MOA crowd is pretty cheap, and so the restaurant can't put out good silverware or salt shakers anymore because people walk off with them. The actual restaurant is beautiful, though, and I love their brunch buffet.

Lives up to its reputation of fresh ingredients, but execution is mediocre. The Bento Box had tempura that was two cold lumps of greasy vegetables. The amount of fish in the sushi seemed skimpy. Salad was okay. In the walleye entree, the fish was very fresh, but the breading was very heavy. The cheddar apple bread pudding was warm on the outside and cold in the middle. Green beans were good. The Asian noodle salad had overcooked meat but was otherwise tasty. Service was good.

Just a good restaurant, nice atmosphere somewhat upscale but still has some casual appeal. The food was amazing, they have an interesting menu with good variety and the service was good.

My friend and I we went to MOA today to celebrate my new job. So I asked her to pick the place. She said she was curious about this place, we had to wait 15 mins to be seated. We chose patio. The service was attentive and quick. The food were fresh and tasty. I ordered sushi bento box, colorful dish,. I like its salad and pickle ginger, sushi themselves were ok, the vegetable tempura somehow was soggy. My friend ordered crave burger. She said her burger overcooked and somehow there was burnt on some edges. And when she said to the waiter, the waiter said you wanted well done that was well done and continue do you want to get replacement or something and my friend said didn't need to. Lemonade I thought too sour. And we had calamari for appetizer good taste although a bit greasy. What I like is the variety of the menu that truly interesting, taste of the food and their mission. Overall I like this place as a nice dining option at MOA. My friend she said she will be back when she is at MOA I will be too when I want something to enjoy and not just to fill me up.

Went here for the first time last night. Luckily made it just in time for happy hour which is a fabulous deal. For $15 I was able to have a martini (strong), a california roll (average), and a mini steak sandwhich with goat cheese (really good). It was a great dinner--served quickly at the bar. I thought the service was good and the cost for what I recieved was very good.

we usually go to the Crave- West End but since we were at the mall... well, "when in rome" i'm glad we got seated in one of their booths without asking! lol! as i was putting my order in, the waiter was so kind to tell me that they had a special where i could get a 3rd roll for just a dollar more! i was so excited but very full by the end of our meal. we didn't order anything else but the sushi.. mexican: i thought this was really good and the escolar really came out sumo: i didn't care for the mango on top so i put it on the boy's roll and he thought it was so good with his special requested filet mignon rolls fire: spicy and i like it that way! filet mignon rolls: nothing wow to say, although we are comparing it to nami's rolls so........ i believe the chefs at nami were a lot more creative than anywhere we've been.. when we requested our filet mignon rolls, we specifically asked for no seafood in the rolls whatsoever. well, the rolls came out and one was covered in two types of tuna. we had to send it back and it took another 1/2 hour to get a new dish.... the wait was a bit long and the manager came by after the dish came out. idk, but in my opnion, i think somebody should've come by during our wait to apologize.. i believe service could've been better and a bit more attentive; the restaurant was not busy. there were a lot of empty tables. maybe we'll stick with the west end location..

i dined at the sushi bar...it was good...not amazing, just good. the hummus app was bland...and a couple pieces of the sashimi still had pin bones in it. other than that, it was ok.

Very nice milk shakes, expensive for lunch though, 86 dollars for a family of 4. Food is average and definitely overpriced.

Great service and great sushi. Make sure you make a reservation for the weekend if you don't want a long wait. We had vegetable sushi, california roll and fire shrimp tempura. They were all good, but the tempura was the best. Chicken Barbeque pizza was very good, but you may want to share - it was huge. Lobster pasta was very good also. The penne pasta with the chicken was very blah - not something we would get again. Our waitress was very attentive. Overall a good experience.

I dined here with a group after attending a conference at a nearby hotel and while I was not too excited about eating at the Mall of America, I WAS excited about eating at Crave! It was a GREAT experience from beginning to end! The host who seated us was engaging, funny and attentive. Then our adorable server came over and again, very knowledgable and fun! The food was outstanding and the wine delicious. We laughed our way through the whole meal! A treasure within the MOA!

The marketing glitz is a bunch of shtick, this place is for the birds. Save the extra money you would have spent at this overpriced "it" restaurant and spend it at one of the many tasty, yet cheap, Minneapolis or St. Paul family owned ethnic restaurants. I was utterly disappointed with the cuisine at Crave. I ordered a scallop and shrimp pasta, which was a tasteless bowl of slop. The shrimp was overcooked and tough, pasta was tasteless and I don't recall seeing a single scallop in the meal. I wouldn't recommend Crave, nor will I be returning.

Yuck. Of all the restaurants we could have eaten at in the Mall of America, I really regret choosing to eat here. It's definitely one of those restaurants that looks better than it is.... they charge you a ton for the decor and not the food... and definitely not the service. We had miso soup... which was the only upside about our meal. We had 2 sushi rolls... both were bland and very uncreative. Then we had the sweet potato fries... not as good as they sound. The worst was the service.... we waited forever to get our food and it turned out our server forgot to bring us our fries so they got too cold and we had to wait for another batch to be made. Not to mention we never even got a refill on our drinks because our server was never around. Restaurant sucks... waste of money and time.

The menu has a great selection, from sandwiches to pasta to sushi to pizza. I thought this was a great idea since not everyone has to agree on the type of cuisine. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, and the table got some calamari to split. The calamari was pretty delicious, and my rolls were pretty decent considering we were not at a Japanese sushi restaurant. My family enjoyed their meals as well. The only thing that knocks down this rating is the service. While our waiter was attentive and nice, the other staff around was not very good. The dirty dishes cluttered the middle of the table, and you would expect the wait staff to remove the dirty dishes when bringing out your new food, but we had to ask them to remove it. And when one person went to take the dirty plate that we handed to him, he came within 1 inch of smacking my sister in the face with the plate. Not very professional at all, seems like they should be more aware of their surroundings...

Dishes and drinks just aren't worth the price at Crave. Way overpriced. Food was okay, but too rich and strong. I really don't like the layout, even though some would describe it as a "nice atmosphere."

Identity crisis! What is the restaurant want to be? "American" doesn't mean you can put everything on the menu. The food was ok, but nothing stood out.

I ended up going to Crave because of 2 reasons. The first being that a friend of mine had gone before and was a fan and with her being a foodie, knew I'd like it seeing I'm doing the culinary arts thing. Secondly, my brother was in town and he wanted to go to a play where they have sushi, and well I had heard a few good things about the sushi here, so when my brother wanted to do sushi and with my friend longing for me to try it, I said alright let's do it. We we called a head and made reservations, which is always a good plan to do for any restaurant if they do them. We had a group of 7 that went. As soon as you walk into the restaurant the feeling was great and the mood was set for a nice evening. I think that they must've learned from past mistakes from what I had heard from a few people, because I almost thought that they were over staffed with wait staff. We actually have two for our table, but that was due to them training in one. Our group wanted a variety of sushi so we went with the Samuri Sushi boat which is the largest boat, however you let the chef choose what to send you. I through everything on that boat was great. Good flavor and presentation. My friend Lori and I had just split an appetizer, which was the Baked Crab and Artichoke Dip and that was so tasty, it was awesome. The rest of the group had gotten rib eye steaks when all I heard was great things and I think 2 other dishes were ordered as well, but I didn't hear anything bad what so ever. Would I recommend this place again, definately yes, just let my friends know that it is a place to eat at once in a while just do it carefully due to prices, but definately have seen higer for similar food at other places.

My fiance and I ate here on the last day we were in MN. The sushi was not what I expected. Kind of pricey for two pieces and disgusting. Their bloody mary was great! He ordered some breakfast and I ordered some kind of pasta with mushroom and shrimp (probably shrimp scampi). Our waitress was very nice, but it took her forever to come get our order. I didn't like how the booths are next to the big windows that are open and everyone shopping stops and stares.....overall the food is great!

Strangely (since we haven't been to MOA much at all this winter) we found ourselves here twice in about 10 days. First time was a weekend lunch and food was good. I ordered the shrimp and pomegranate salad(yummy!) and hubby got the sashimi/sushi salad (mainly because it sounded like a ripoff of the JR volcano at Tiger Sushi - note: while it was good, nothing as good as the volcano). But a strange thing with bread here - three types served - cheese, onion, and a plain type - with two spreads, one of which was a honey walnut. I really can't figure out what place honey walnut had with cheese or onion bread. Yuk. Second visit was for happy hour, which was strangely a lot of work - mostly due to the new wait staff not being able to really explain what was included in happy hour without checking with the bar. And at first, felt a bit like a non-bargain event, because food portions were VERY small and "House" i.e. rail drinks were still 5.00. However, the Bloody was great, and turned out to be made with Stoli, which I didn't learn until the bill came, which led to a grumpy happy hour. Food and drink quality good enough to pull it up to 3 stars though.

If you are looking for something a little more interesting than the normal food court and chain restaurant than try Crave. It is good food but nothing to go out of your way for. The service was spotty. She forgot that we ordered the bread basket and it came almost after our meal. The steak sandwich was good a little salty but cooked to my preference. I have been to the other location and would say they are equal. Again if I am at the MOA it is a good place to go. Otherwise I would not go out of my way to go there.

the food is great here ! It's fresh and the quality is better than like area restaurants. they make the best bloody mary's here from scratch. Sushi is fresh and at a good price. Not a good place for children and large families. Great place to bring a special someone!

I thought I would give a new sushi place a try... I'm traveling on business away from my home state, CA. Sushi places in CA are a dime a dozen so the competition must be tough! I'm not sure what I was expecting being in MN and all, but what I was not expecting was the sky high prices and small portions. I was really surprised ESPECIALLY being from CA. The service was prompt and friendly and the taste was average.

If I could give it no stars I would. The first time we went here the service was bad. We left because no one came to our table.... The second time our service was great, but the food was not. It was way over priced. I wish we would have spent the money on good food instead. Don't waist your time or money.. Buy a pair of kicks instead! Yuck!

I and a friend were road-tripping across the country and stopped by MOA. After shopping we saw an ad for Crave that says it won Best New Restaurant in 2008 and decided to have dinner there. My friend said the waitress (curly short hair) seemed condescending but I didn't notice it until half way through the experience. We ordered the escolar sushi for appetizer and it was surprisingly fresh and delicious for a non-Japanese place. For the entree my friend ordered the Grilled Petite Tender (steak, mashed potatoes & vegies) and said that he liked it. I ordered the Grilled Rib Eye and was served Grilled Ahi Tuna. I brought it to the waitress' attention and she said she "swear" I ordered the Tuna. How can I not remember what food I like and ordered?? Though she did offer to take it back but I didn't want to waste food. Regarding the tuna, the sake-soy reduction tasted perfectly Asian and compensated for the plain-tasting tuna. I would give the food 4 star but the overall experience was 3 star.

They are located in the third floor of The Mall of America. The staff is very accommodating. I was on a scooter because I suffer from chronic fatigue and both of my legs were in pain. They figured out a way for me to get my scooter in without creating a scene. I have a lot of food allergies, and the chef there was amazing. It came down to the chef creating a special sauce for me because I was allergic to 3/4 of the things in the menu. The food was DELICIOUS! I am allergic to soy, wheat, black pepper, tomatoes, and couldn't have garlic and onion due to my SIBO. The chef replaced the noodles of the fettuccine with rice noodles, and made my shrimp without pepper. The sauce was made from scratch to eliminate the soy. I couldn't taste the difference! I was blown away with the creativity and knowledge of the kitchen. I will definitely return!

We have dined at the MOA Crave several times. At first their service was stellar and they treated my Down's Syndrome brother fantastic. Sadly it has declined and my guess is that they are reducing the number of servers per shift. The food is usually consistent and we tend to stick to the sushi choices. The fish quality is good. Avoid the burgers as they tend to be cooked well done no matter how you order them.

Tonight's meal was flat out amazing. From great service to perfectly prepared food, I love Crave. We started with bread- 3 kinds in a generous basket. It was warm, flavorful and perfect for soaking up oil and the forthcoming dipping sauce from our starters. The calamari was among the best I've had. Super crunchy, corn-mealy and piping hot. Caesar salad was good and split for two without asking-nice! Walleye cakes were a bit doughy but their sauce was good. Sushi was clean tasting and at the perfect temperature to savor the buttery, not to thinly-sliced goodness of salmon and tuna. The highlight was the sauteed salmon with potato puree and heirloom carrots. The salmon has a slight crust but no hard spots. It was expertly cooked to medium and was like eating butter. Best salmon I've ever had really. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and there when needed. I knocked a star off for the walleye cake and the location- the MOA. Ask for an interior table so you aren't on display for the non-stop shuffling freak show that is the Mall of America.

Crave was excellent. The atmosphere and environment was welcoming and relaxing. The service was very good. The staff was knowledge and made great recommendations. The Crab Artichoke Dip was a very good starter. The Creamy Chicken Fettuccine was fantastic! The prices were very reasonable and affordable. It is well worth a trip to the Mall of America. The best part is that after your meal, you can walk it off around the mall.

I booked the America Room for a private business dinner. Crave MOA did a fantastic job! They did everything they possibly could to make it a great night! From the apps and table set up, every detail was perfect! I believe our server was Helen. She was fantastic! Professional, attentive, and courteous. Helen, along with the rest of the Crave MOA staff made our business dinner a great night! And of course, the food was delicious. I would definitely have future business dinners at this Crave again! And go to dine there myself as well should I find myself at MOA.

Stopped in on Saturday and the good part of this place is that it was the only place without a 45 min wait for seating. It did have an amazing outdoor view for the mall that overlooked the amusement park in the mall. Service- The service was ok but could have been improved drastically. Upon unrolling the silver we realized that we had a dirty fork that went into our napkins at the dinner table. We didn't see any servers around for a few minutes so we took it upon ourselves to grab clean utensils off of another table so that it would not interrupt our meal at the time. When we walked away from the place we saw what appeared to be a hostess walking between the cabana and the restaurant that appeared to hate her life/job. She had a giant frown that you could spot from a mile away and it was very obvious that she was not happy. The bad part was the food. We ordered one of there pasta dishes and a giant southwest style salad. We actually only ended eating about 1/3 of their food on our plates even though we were starving when we arrived. There was absolutely no seasoning whatsoever in either of the dishes that we had ordered and this made it extremely hard to continue to eat the food. Usually I leave with to go bag if I don't finish the food but not this time. We could have made the food that was served to us on our own at home and saved the money. We probably would have also gotten better quality out of anything that we cooked on our own. There was really nothing that I left craving about this place, In-fact the only craving that I had was for something else after we left. I'm sad to say that we will not be back and defiantly not having any cravings after our recent visit.

Pretty good food. Fresh sushi, decent wings, Average wild rice soup, decent calamari. Excellent house Cabernet. The servers were slow, reached lazily across all if the diners, took forever to refill water, and had to be reminded about deducting a coupon for a free app. Reasonably expensive. I think there are better options, but the crowd is beautiful.

Service was great. Chicken chopped salad had good flavor. Rainbow roll made me violently ill and I finished my visit puking in the men's room. Skip this place and eat somewhere else in the mall. Anywhere else.

A single dish experience. Last night I ate at the MOA Crave. I ordered the chicken chop salad. While I will admit that it is unfair to judge a place by a single dish, I believe this one was telling. It was the single worst salad I have ever eaten. The problem was the chicken. It consisted only of BLACK, not dark, black meat. It appeared to be all the scraps that one tosses. I felt like I was in an episode of Bizarre foods. It was inedible. It look horrible and tasted worse. To their credit the server removed it from the bill. I was further surprised by her response. She said 'yea, we've changed our chicken lately, it just hasn't been very good' This cannot be an isolated dish. I doubt I will every visit a crave again.

Crave is located on level 3 inside The Mall of America. They offer a wide variety of food: flatbreads, signature sandwiches, burgers, pasta and a sushi bar. If you desire something other than fastfood while at the mall, it's a great choice. Alan, thanks for the recommendations and exceptional service.

You pretentious foodies that write a good review and give 3-4 stars really needs to grow up. You're not the Michelin people. Stopped here for lunch today and didn't expect a lot being as its a restaurant in the mall of America but I was thoroughly impressed. Orders a bison burger and was amazed at its great flavor. Please tell me where else you could order a burger and your side option is a couscous salad with spinach? Really? This place gets 3-4 stars? Great place. I'd gladly dine here again. Leave your snobbery at home and just enjoy your meal

I'm also posting this as a contrast to the Edina Crave review that I just posted. If I do say so myself (and I do), I think that that review is also worth a read since it's a bit more in-depth from the menu and also serves as my initial reference point. We stopped by for a quick lunch while we were shopping -- the restaurant was half-full and I was still okay with my experience at the Edina location not too long ago. Service was fine, though I was asked...repeatedly...if I wanted a cocktail...at 11:30am. Basically, the lunch menu has the same pricing as the dinner menu (aside from the inclusion of sushi lunch specials). This time, the two of us (dining companion was also at Edina) repeated the Asian chicken salad and lamb burger...but when we got the food, honey I shrunk the portions. Seriously. Both the salad and the burger were 2/3 of the size that we had at the Galleria. Wouldn't have been egregious except that we were paying the same price. Not sure if this is due to a difference between locations or a lunch vs. dinner rule, but I understand that staff might not have control over this, but stuff like this should be consistent. Definitely changes the value proposition. Speaking of food, at least the quality of the food was consistent. Again, Asian chicken salad was liked by dining companion (although a bit too salty for my taste) and the lamb burger was juicy. This time we got the matchstick fries instead of the couscous, and that was definitely a better choice.

Julia was our excellent server at Crave tonight at Mall of America. Julia knew that it was our first time to dine here and was very helpful with the menu choices. I had the chopped chicken salad with citrus vinaigrette dressing and it was delicious! My husband had the Angus burger and he said it was excellent but the french fries were a little too salty other than that it was fine. Very good atmosphere and again Julia was absolutely an excellent server.

Before a very funny night of comedy, a few friends and I decided to grab a bit to eat at Crave, At first, I was in the mood for some sushi so this place would have suffice. The joint was part of the restaurant walk in MOA. When you walk in, you'll notice the light dimmed a lot. It was a pretty intimate space. Lots of booths and table tops. The walls were adorned with TVs and lighted art to help with the ambiance. Our server was Sarah who was super personable. She was quick and really did a great job suggesting some things for us. For dinner I got the Rib Eye for $31.95: Huge cut of steak, ancho chili molasses glaze, potato puree and caramelized brussels. I LOVED the brussel sprouts. Nice carmelized flavor. The puree was a little too runny. I had the texture and taste of mashed potatoes, but didn't have the chunks and/or consistency that I expected or preferred. The steak was a nice cut but really fatty. I liked the char flavor and appreciated the glaze but in my opinion, not worth the hefty price. I'm definitely open to returning though! I heard the sushi is great and I'm all about sushi! If you're definitely in the area, come check them out!

Went here with a small group for dinner. Food is a bit price and drinks were definitely expensive. The boyfriend ordered the bison burger. It was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. I ordered the Crave burger and it was nothing special honestly. It's like a basic burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions. Didn't have a lot of flavor like the bison burger. The fries were good though. A friend in our party ordered the chicken pesto flatbread. It looked good but he said there was not enough pesto on the flatbread. He also ordered the chips and guacamole appetizer. Coming from Southern California, that guacamole was wayyyy too chunky for chips. It had bigger than bite-size chunks of avocado that is not even dippable with the chip. All in all, Crave is ok. The only notable thing I'd crave from here is the bison burger. Not sure if I would come back but will definitely update my review if I do.

How does this not not have 5 stars?? First off, the service here was wonderful. Our server Sara is the poster child for "Minnesota Nice." She was accommodating in every way possible. I ordered the Bison Burger and asked for it as rare as legally possible..... AMAZING! The bison was full of flavor and the fries were a great compliment. My wife ordered the one of the flatbreads and it was great! It was pretty busy so we didn't mind waiting for our food, but when it came Sara was apologetic for the wait and gave us a complimentary dessert! Totally unexpected, but a very nice gesture. We had just traveled 10+ hours from Cleveland, OH and it was a great way to finish off the day. Thanks for the great experience!

Gluten free celiac diners can find something good to eat on the gluten sensative menu, but be careful and ask questions about preparation. Once we started talking to the server about the gluten sensative menu options the safe choices decreased. The french fries are gluten free but they are prepared in a fryer that handles breaded foods. We had the ribeye steak with potatoes and vegetables and it was very good. We went on a Monday and took advantage of the half price wines which was a treat with the meal. The staff was friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

The food is really good here but the service needs improvement. but the manager helped us out a lot on that factor. our server just didn't care about bringing drinks or taking care of us cause in our opinion we didn't fit his bill as a customer. The appetizers also were fantastic but literally 30 seconds after we got them we got our dinner, so they need to work on the timing. The waiter was more interested in conversing with cute girls than taking care of us however the manager really stepped up to the plate and took care of us and made us feel like valued customers

Came here for happy hour and it was decent. The prices were good but the food was very subpar. The tuna roll was small with only 6 pieces and tasted pretty basic. For only $4 though it's hard to complain too much! I sat at the bar and the service was attentive constantly refilling my water, but stopped once they could tell I was not going to order more. Out of the options at the Mall of America, this is probably one of your best bets. Good option if looking for a cheap happy hour bite to eat.

Caprese Salad, didnt even advertise heirloom tomatos, but they were and organic, service from Victoria and her team was amazing, cant wait to visit Crave again, you will be very pleasantly surprised??? Only because in a mall, not if you have been here before. Was outstanding! Come to the mall for dinner? Yeah, do it.

Decent. Went here with my boyfriend and a friend. He ordered yellowtail sushi and they came out with sashimi, so they gave us that ohn the house and it was good. The dynamite roll was delicious, the tuna roll was good. The edamame was fine. My salad was disappointing- I got the grapefruit, shrimp, and jicima salad. It was very boring. The almonds were not good. I won't order that again. We sat at the bar and the bartender did a good job despite being obviously very busy.

Super expensive but the drinks tasted great and the sushi was tasty. $7 for nigiri and $19 rolls were a little ridiculous for me alone, but date night it's worth it. The bartender was incredibly prompt and attentive to the whole bar.

I went to CRAVE for my friends birthday and we had a great experience. I ordered a grilled salmon (cooked to medium) with cut carrots and replaced the side of mash potatoes with rice. It was very fulfilling so I ate half and took the rest to go. I also ordered a strawberry field martini that tasted like a blend of strawberry and grapefruit. It was pretty good but I'd probably want to try something else for next time I go here. I also ordered a blueberry cheesecake miniature dessert that came in a small glass cup. Wow! Seriously the texture of the cheesecake was so smooth and whipped pretty thick compared to other cheesecakes I've had. I recommend trying it! Yum! Gosh I ordered 3 things and I felt fulfilled. I hope this review was helpful!

Great visual concept just not executed the way you think it would taste as described. Over priced!!

Super duper kid friendly. If you're wanting to have a sit down not fast food no theme restaurant meal with kids at the MOA, this is almost definitely where you should go. (It's my second choice, but man the mall is big and sometimes you don't want to walk too far) Our server brought out small dishes of fruit for the kids almost immediately. (AWESOME) and the kids' menu has many options. The mac and cheese was not made from a box, and the chicken fingers were top notch. Our booth was cozy, and fit three on a side with no problem and the restaurant was not too noisy, but just noisy enough that kids didn't seem too loud. But the food is only OK. I've had calamari, tacos, sushi, burgers, pastas...obviously I keep coming back and I'm sure I will eat here again.

Wow, some very differing feelings of Crave here, yelpers! I've been twice and have been very happy with it. We tried the lamb burger--spicy and just different enough to be intriguing. The hit of the meals was definitely the bento box. My little guy still talks about wanting it 24/7. I love the menu--so many items--so interesting!

Nice, upbeat atmosphere, don't know how this compares to the Edina location, but if I didn't know it, I certainly didn't feel as though I were in a large mall complex. Our server was attentive, but not overly so. Baked Truffle Mac-n-Cheese was comfort food turned up a notch, the 8 year old dining with us agreed! Lobster Ravioli was good, with exception-the sauce was slightly over salted for my taste. Stir Fry was the surprise hit of the evening. Pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Found the sushi was quite good too. Being new to the wine scene, I liked that they broke down their wine menu in to light, medium, etc bodied selections.

If I coud give 3 1/2 stars I would but 4 seems like too much. I like their sushi, but entree's are overpriced and ambiance is rather blah.

Poke appetizer was beyond awesome!!! I ordered another, because I hadn't gotten enough! A great place, though extremely busy and a little noisy. Well worth it.

Entering the Mall of America, one has many a choice to dine. On a particular evening with a couple of my coworkers, we were quite hungry and looking for a place to please all palettes. Enter Crave restaurant. Crave can be found in various locations in Minneapolis, as well as Orlando, Florida and Omaha, Nebraska. Entering their Mall of America location, you enter a contemporary and upscale main dining room. To the left is their martini lounge and bar seating area. In addition, there area "outdoor" eating type locations, where you can dine within the mall confines or over the mall park area. Last but not least, a sushi bar is included within their dining experience. That was the first tip off this restaurant really had a diverse selection! Their menu boasts tasty appetizers ranging from traditional calamari, to a Mediterranean plate, which includes hummus, pita, olives, and roasted garlic. A set of three mini burgers with caramelized onions, smoked cheddar and served on King's Hawaiian sweet buns will satisfy those looking for a great appetizer burger! Tuna tataki, or buttermilk chicken sliders continue to show the diversity, even if only starting with their appetizer selection! A soup and salad selection is available for those wishing for lighter fare. If a heartier main course is what you are looking for, their dinner menu offers a generous steak selection, seafood dishes, chicken, or pasta dishes. One can even order a choice of pizza or burgers. If sushi is your "crave", they aim to please. They have a great selection of traditional sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi. Their sushi is fresh and made to order right in their sushi bar area. I ordered their Chicken Stir Fry ($18.95), made complete with bell peppers, zucchini, sugar snap peas, broccoli, stir-fry sauce, and steamed white rice. Their Chicken Stir Fry had a bit of spicy kick to it, but not so much to overpower. Enough pieces of chicken are mixed perfectly with their vegetable medley and stir-fry sauce. With this abundant portion of chicken and vegetables, you find the steamed white rice shyly placed underneath. Our service was prompt and informative - complete with a full listing of the day's specials in addition to what is already on their plentiful menu. Crave restaurant, itself, does not need to crave any attention - it brings attention to itself naturally from its surroundings, staff and most importantly its diverse food selection. If you ever find yourself in one of these cities, Crave should be a stop for you.

Food was great! We ate here for lunch and both had the salmon sandwich. Had the rest of the experience been better we may have came back for dinner. Service was mediocre. We were in an extension to the restaurant something like I would classify as a mall terrace. Ambiance was horrible from this aspect. We were in town for Xmas shopping and would have loved to enjoy lunch and a few cocktails but the majority of our section was kids. Don't get me wrong we have three but didn't have them with us. Every table on the terrace had a kid at it but maybe 5 and it was near full. Again food was great, worth a try.

Having been to other locations, I was excited to eat here on my last visit. The food was very disappointing. The calamari was run of the mill and the braised short rib special was dry and covered with an overpowering sauce. Hopefully it was just an off night, but I really expected a lot better.

Good sushi. $5 Happy hour rolls (especially veggie roll) are fantastic. Bartender makes a mean martini. They have $5 Opulent Vodka drinks which is a steal. Their beer selection is poor (only 5 on tap, nothing special). Wish they had closed captioning on TV or TV sound, etc., at the bar, but oh well...

I loved Crave the first time I tried it....the Edina location, but I don't live near there and the MOA is about as far west as I travel voluntarily with the exception of Minneapolis. So I was very, let's admit it, extremely excited that a location opened up at the MOA. Sadly, maybe I was just hungry that day, but the Crave of my memory is gone and has been replaced by a restaurant that offers great-sounding, mediocre food at steakhouse prices (I can get a filet at Kinkaid's for what they charge for salmon). I have had lunch and dinner here, and have found those food experiences to be underwhelming. Anything Asian-fusion actually is good, but the portions are teeny tiny. I once ordered a seared tuna entree with soy miso-reduction (maybe $20 a few years ago and not on menu anymore) and what came out was four one-inch square slices of tuna on an ice cream scoop of rice with a drizzle of sauce. I had to eat really slowly in order to not finish before my dining companion and left the restaurant still hungry. The half roast chicken dinner was tasty, but not any better than a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store, but was offered at 5x the price. The sushi is blah, and really pricey but not as disappointing as Masu's down the hall; plus they don't claim to be a sushi restaurant, just offer it, so I can't complain too much. The only upside is that the menu changes monthly so you are always surprised at what is available, though sometimes some months are more appetizing than others (roast chicken was the best item offered the month I last went). Not boycotting, but not one of the top places to go.

For a business setting at lunchtime, this place is better than the others at MOA. It's a bit loud in on the back deck, but the front patio is nice. You can people watch when you want to be distracted, hopefully not disgusted (although that can happen too at MOA). Service is always decent and fairly quick, depending on the size of your party. I typically go with the 1/2 sandwich and salad combo. They took off my veggie sandwich I would get. It was good, the bread was a bit crusty though. The Crave Salad is nice for a side salad. Love the pine nuts and goat cheese. Nothing to knock your socks off, but then again, when your with business associates, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Happy Hour: M-F 3-6 M-Sat 9p- close $5 summit Kevin was our bartender. Shook our hands Ordered margarita pizza-cold moz not melted Burger -asked to have extra extra well- it was pink. Had to ask a different person, Kevin could not be found. Kevin apologized. We said it was not his fault. He said he sometimes feels like it is his fault. Very true.

Despite having INCREDIBLE food, the service was absolutely terrible. They were friendly enough, just no intensity whatsoever. It took at least 10 minutes for them to assemble a table for a party of 10 at 4 PM. The drinks took forever and when they arrived the beer was not cold and the dirty martinis were not dirty! The appetizers took about 45 minutes to get, and although amazing, we were all pissed off by then. I'd hate to see how slow the service is when it's busy!

CONFLICTED Had dinner Friday March 2 at 8pm, party of 4. Obviously if you are Yelping then you are questioning this choice in the first place but we were searching for carpets at B-Dale's liquidation sale and had to capitulate (ruling out Rainforest, etc., needless to say). We were seated AQ in about a half, however, we did not know that part of the "dining room" is in fact beyond Crave proper, overlooking Camp Snoopy but more importantly about a mile away from the kitchen and bar. But who doesn't love the aroma of chlorine from Ye Olde Mill log ride mixing with your Tuna Tataki? If you've been dining out most of your life you can quickly pick up on the vibe and pace of a place and from my perspective, things did not look good. Our waiter was very nice and polite but when he was gone...he was Gone, Baby, Gone. Must be the mechanics of this location and the aforementioned journey to the source of food and drink. One person in our party had special requests which I knew would add another 1/2 hour due to the communications protocol between diner/waiter/kitchen but I am not faulting Crave on this point since we should have ordered when we had our chance and I was cranky anyway. The food did arrived at a reasonable time after we ordered. I poked at the steak salad and prepared for the worst.....but I have to say it was super tasty! I pretty much loved it and up to this point I was truly hating everything which preceded (I know: MOA+ Fri PM+having to dine at MOA in the first place+fussy relatives...). The rest of the family agreed and even the dessert was a winner with no need to go to Stone Cold. Prices were reasonable but that's subjective - decide for yourself. So, in my opinion, if you have to dine at MOA and choose Crave: -sit in the main dining room and never on the "deck" or "patio" -if after seated the staff looks frantic and the diners look pissed, order right away and don't ask questions which can't be answered by your server -get your pager from the hostess 1/2 hour before you finish shopping and then breeze right in! Crave did not exist when I moved to Boston in 2007 and after returning last fall I've noticed it everywhere. I see many tepid reviews but I have to say I would drop-in again but perhaps another location or MOA if it isn't super busy.

I don't know, I guess I just expected... uhh... more. Crave was ok. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. Just, for being priced on the upper end of average, I expected the food to be, well, a bit better than average. The fries were plain-jane and were barely warm. My pork chop was good, but not too fancy. My wife ordered a steak, which was cooked properly, but not terribly flavorful. For being located in the Mall, they really manage to have a pretty good atmosphere going. You kind of forget your really at MOA and it just feels like you're at decent restaurant. Crave actually does have a patio at this location. Yeah, it overlooks the amusement park and is kind of awkward, but it sort of works. It's kind of fun to listen to the people scream when the roller coaster rolls by.

In town on business and staying at Fairfield Inn across the street. Co worker recommended this place to me so went on my first full night of being in town. Very nice looking place, upscale-ish sushi/wine bar atmosphere. Being by myself I took a seat at the bar to watch sports while dining. Was super happy to see Leinenkugel(sp?) Summer Shandy on draught. Started off with that. I had checked the menu out already online and knew I wanted to start off with the Proscuitto wrapped scallops. The scallops were good, seared nicely with plenty of that sweet flavor. They sat on a thinly sliced piece of bread with cooked spinach ontop covered in a hollandaise sauce. Very nice. For my main course I had the BBQ Chicken Chipotle pizza. There were so many things I wanted to try on that menu it wasnt even cool. Took me 2 beers to decide as a matter of fact. Anyways, the pizza was good, chicken was shredded perfectly for pizza, the bbq chipotle had a slow medium heat to it. Very pleasant indeed. Overall this place was great, was a perfect way to finish off my first full day of being in town. Would go back again and try either the salmon or the walleye. Also wouldnt mind trying some of there sushi. Try this place out if you cant decide what you want, plenty of different items on the menu and it will be hard to decide. Will be back for sure next week.

Crave seemed like one of the nicer restaurants inside of Mall of America, but in fact, I will not come back again to this place for dinner. Few others and myself came on a Tuesday night around 8. The restaurant itself was quite packed. Try to request to sit outside because inside the restaurant was filled with the cooking smell from their open kitchen. Took them forever to make the food. I wouldn't mind the wait if the food was good. Crab artichoke dip was good but lukewarm. Fried veggie sushi roll was soggy. Bistro steak was mediocre. Strawberry lemonade was too sour, and did not have much strawberry flavor. Service was friendly but slow as well. My friend claimed her scallop fettuccine pasta was good though. I can see why it gets busy - simply because the tourists and the shoppers aren't given much of decent restaurant choices other than the food court. To sum up, Crave has a great atmosphere. However, because it is located inside of Mall of America, it seems to be overpriced, at least for the quality of food and service they provide. If I am back to the area again, will return, not for dinner, maybe for happy hour: lower price = lower expectation.

I had good service here, the wait guy was very friendly and quick. I came here with my boyfriend who wanted sushi for our lunch date-originally we were going to go to Seven in downtown! We agree that the sushi here is much better and fresher compared to the Minneapolis location. We would come back since Tiger Sushi isn't quite the same!

I feel like I keep hearing about how amazing Crave is and now that I've had it I'm kind of like "meh". I mean, it was good, sure, but seems a bit overrated. Stopped by with some girlfriends at the MOA. We all wanted very different things, so the menu suited us just fine. One got the house salad with salmon, another got pasta, and I, being the cheapskate of the bunch, opted for soup with a side of truffle fries (DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT I LOVE TRUFFLE FRIES?). So the food was good. I mean, a salad's a salad. My friend loved her pasta. My soup was delicious and wow do they have large soup bowls, and the truffle fries were to die for because truffle fries are always to die for. Now the reason for the 3 stars instead of 4: the price. Wowzers does that place seem overpriced. My friend who got the salad paid 4.95 for the salad PLUS SIX DOLLARS FOR A SMALL PIECE OF SALMON. Including the Coke and tax and tip she ended up spending almost $20 on a small salad and soda, which is absurd. The pasta was also about $15. Mine was about $15, but I ended up having the most food by far and my girlfriends looked longingly at my leftovers after they had scarfed their small plates. I like the food. I like the variety. I don't like the price. Doesn't seem worth it.

I have always loved Crave, the sushi and happy hours specials are great for a day at the MOA. But my love has reached a new level with this new bartender (Jeremiah? Jerry? Jerome?). He is delectable! I think he used to be a server there? Since I only hang out at the bar when I go there, this makes my experience ten times better. What a smoov witty guy! But seriously, the food is to die for, the occasional celebrity siting adds some real fun, the specials are amaaazing, and this Jerry guy is a little piece of heaven! mmmmm

My first experience @ Crave was nothing short of fantastic. The ambiance is wonderful: I especially enjoyed the "wine window" as I call it w/ an extensive selection of wine. The tables were cozy & even though it's in the MOA, it felt like a place all it's own. It was a Sunday: ladies lunch day :) I noticed that many patrons were enjoying the Sunday brunch buffet & while it looked enticing, I opted for the Mexican sushi roll w/ tuna, escolar, jalapenos, cilantro, & avocado accompanied w/ the seaweed salad. Both were absolutely superb. My girlfriend is expecting & she appreciated the menu w/ an array of vegetable sushi rolls that she could enjoy. The service was wonderful & this will be my go to venue when I need a break @ the busy MOA....

An abnormally bad experience at Crave. We were seated in the back "patio" area, not in the main restaurant. It started poorly with getting a table that wasn't set. It had silverware, but only 3 of 6 small plates (and 2 of those were dirty). Our first server was great. She stopped by, took drink orders right away and got things going. While she was getting started, a 2nd server stopped to do the same not realizing we had already been helped. He was very confused, and had we not already been helped, he was very late. But, alas, we were switched to him from our first server even though she started at our table. From there it got worse. The drinks our first waitress couldn't carry in her last run never came. When our fruit bowl came (we ordered the buffet, which is family style at the table), we still didn't have plates. I finally got up and went to the server station and took some myself. When we were finally asked if we wanted more fruit, I asked for strawberries and pineapple, the two items in the mix my daughter will eat. The response was that the fruit was predetermined and he'd see what he could do. When the bowl came, it came without a serving spoon, no strawberries and 3 bites of pineapple. It was as if they attempted to do the opposite of what we asked. However, our first waitress overheard the request and brought a special bowl of strawberries just for our daughter. Not sure why she could and our waiter couldn't. When our food came, it came without any serving utensils or plates. We had to ask for both. We got a soup spoon and fork as serving utensils. The manager did stop by once to ask how things were. In the middle of explaining the disorganized experience my daughter asked for syrup, that got the manager to run off and she never came back. However, she obviously told our server what we said verbatim. When he came back he apologized for things seeming, "disorganized". I could go on including him not knowing how to split the check, but this is already long. In the end, it was the worst dining experience we've had in a long time and a shockingly bad experience from what we've come to expect at Crave.

Loud! ate here with my family and let me just tell you, it is not quiet. The Expo station is exposed to the restaurant and since it's a large restaurant, there's lots of staff running around all the time. We met here because I'm in the west suburbs and the rest of the family is in the east - meet halfway! Food was less than impressive. Scallops were bland, flatbread was a little soggy. Mac and Cheese was pretty great though - so not a total loss. Service was spotty at best as well. Took a pretty long time for food and drinks - and wasn't really present too often. When you take into account parking, walking around the crowded mall and the some of the drawbacks to the meal - I'd probably not go back. If you're already in the mall, this is probably the classiest choice, but I definitely wouldn't make a trip just for dinner.

Had a wonderful time at Crave today. Our server was amazing - she was very attentive and anticipated our needs. We had the gape and apple flatbread which is definitely some I will crave. The warmth of the cracker thin crust, the sweetness of the grapes and apples, saltiness of the cheese, topped off with honey - delicious! Our server made a few suggestions for wine pairings which were great. We then had some sushi which was good - the pickled squash was something new to us and would be something to order in the future. Bloody Mary's ordered on the spicy side were great and served with celery, pickle, blue cheese olives and salami.. Can't wait for our next trip back to Crave!

I see so many poor reviews of Crave. I must of been lucky because I really liked the food. I loved the diverse menu items. I must note that I did not order a full meal but stuck to appetizers. Side of mushrooms: excellent Scallops appetizer: excellent Salad: good I did notice that the sushi menu was super overpriced so I avoided any of those items.

BLEGH. service was fine, but slow. food took forever, was lukewarm, and the fish and chips was the worst i have ever had. so so bland! i'm not a twin cities native, but i'm told that the crave in edina is much better. i assume the low level of quality here is because it's, well, inside the mall of america.... i mean, cadillac ranch and tony roma are across the walkway. fortunately, our waitress comped the nasty fish and chips i barely touched. will definitely not be returning here...

Hey guess what? I paid $15 for a mediocre salmon salad in a noisy patio-like area with screaming (like "my mother has torn a limb from my body" screaming) over-tired children in strollers passing by and, perhaps the worst, a ridiculously wobbly table. But we were in a mall, and we didn't want to make a dinner out of Orange Julius. What are you going to do? Choose another place next time, that's what.

I met two friends here on December 27th. I had made a reservation at noon. One of the friends I met works at the mall and had to work at 1:30 so we thought we had plenty of time. Our drink orders were not place until about 12:30, our food orders were not placed until 12:55 or so, and we didn't get our food until 1:20. My friend who works in the mall had to ask for a to-go box immediately and didn't even get to eat with us. I have been here before and the food (salmon salad) is always good, but the service was so inexcusable I have to rate this a 1 star. Next time I'm at the mall I will definitely find another restaurant to go to.

Very good food, very good service! I had a client dinner with a colleague on a Wednesday nite. At 6pm we popped in with no reservation. No problem, we were seated promptly. This place is big! The main seating area was busy but they took us to an adjacent dining room which was fine. Everyone enjoyed their meal - I had the grilled salmon entree with lobster-mashed potatoes and it was delish. Terrific choice for dinner in the MOA!

It is a nice looking restaurant and the server was friendly and attentive. Our group had shared a plate of dips (hummus and the like), which were good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna seared. I was told it was sushi quality - it was not. It lacked seasoning and the sesame crust didn't really add much. The asparagus was fine. Pretty disappointing. Forced into to dessert under the guise of sharing with a couple of others, we ordered a S'mores brownie. It was pretty good. It certainly had all the ingredients and ultimately worked.

I was at the MOA on Saturday evening and got a craving for a little sushi. There aren't a whole lot of great food options at the MOA (Rainforest Cafe? Gross.) So...Option A: Tiger Sushi, which is decent, other than the long wait to get in and the feeling you get of being in the center of a fish bowl. Option B: Crave, overpriced, but less of the fast food feeling. So Crave it was. The food was decent - nothing to write home about, but you can't really expect great sushi in the middle of a mall, anyway. The service.was.terrible. It took fifteen minutes just to get some water for the table, and over an hour after we ordered for our food to come out. To her credit, the server did apologize for the delay and comped us a dessert, but because of the slow service the mall was closed by the time we got out of there. Which means I missed picking up the shoes I had on hold. Which is really.not.good. Don't come between a girl and her new shoes.

I like this place - really good and service, but it's in a mall, so it's pretty noisy. Very good sushi, which I was really surprised about since it's.... well... in a mall. Got the Ninja Boat - LOTS O SUSHI!! Tasty, tasty and for 75 bucks, it feed like five people. Also had the Caterpillar Sushi - spicy tuna, avocado, mango, cucumber, etc - really a great roll. I also really liked the Seaweed Salad. Limited beer selection, but the wine list is OK.

When I heard that this was a sushi bar, I was all excited to fill up before I started my marathon shopping on my way back to the airport. When looking at the menu, I was totally confused - where is the sushi??? Apparently there is a separate menu for that and it is very limited (at least for lunch). No matter, I ordered a glass of malbec, a tempura roll and decided to ask the waiter to reccommend a flatbread. He gave me two options and I went with the apple and grape - delish! The portions are HUGE, so I didn't feel bad about the $30 tab for lunch (hey, there was wine involved, afterall). The waiter deserved 5 stars - he was very friendly, but not intrusive and totally made the right recommendations for me. I would come back here now that I know what to expect - maybe on the next business trip!

We had a nice lunch at Crave. The waiter aimed to please allowing us to customize our order to our liking and brought extra Parmesan cheese. Yum! We had the turkey cobb salad and the chicken agave. The chicken was the best thing we had but I really couldn't complain about the salad. The service was quite fast which is good if shopping is your main interest at MOA.

I'd accidentally written a blistering review of the MOA location under the Edina location. A person from Crave's corporate was in touch and I found it impressive that Crave's corporate office cared enough to follow up on an individual complaint. TJ appreciated the specifics, followed up on them and I was persuaded to go again, which I hadn't thought was possible. Well, I did revisit and this review is based on that visit, not as a composite score. Host / Hostess. I'm sorry to say, but there is still one host who looks frightened to death. I mean well here, the boy reminds me of my stepson (who I adore) and I don't think anything is wrong with him, just that he needs grooming. We went at around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon and though we asked for a booth and there wasn't one cleaned yet, I will say that this time, the Host I mentioned was quick to offer to clear the booth for us so we could be seated right away. That is a big improvement from our last experience. Wait Staff. Our Server was personable and warm but did not notice when our burgers took half an hour until we asked another Server who was walking by for a Manager. I felt badly to have to do so, but after my last review, I did feel like I owed it to the restaurant to ask for a manager this time. I will say, our Server handled this very well, showing us attentive service thereon and insisting on calling the manager over a second time when my husband's burger was cooked medium well instead of medium rare. Frankly, we hadn't told our Server, he overheard and took the initiative, which is commendable. Hopefully he didn't think we were just a cranky table. Food. Aside from my husband's burger being cooked wrong, the food was quite good. My burger tasted great to me and the chocolate brownie / mousse dessert is definitely worth having, especially if you pair it with coffee. I'd like to see more crave-worthy food - foods people truly crave taken to an elevated level, which I think Crave is capable of. Drinks. The drinks need to be stronger and there need to be more fun choices in the Martini and coffee areas. I'd like the drinks to be Crave-worthy. Price. I feel the prices are right for the ambience and that the value for money is there so long as some ongoing service issues are worked on. Ambience. The ambience is still great and Crave is a great place to get away from all the chaos and overstimulation of the Mall. The bar booths make for great people watching (from a safe distance) ;-) Management. So as mentioned, I asked for a manager when wait time on our burgers hit the half hour mark. The first thing I should mention is that we have never seen this manager before, despite having been to the MOA location around a dozen times over the holiday season. The first thing, oddly, that she asked us after asking us what she could help us with was whether we'd had a reservation. Maybe our burgers wouldn't have taken a half an hour had we had a reservation...? I chalked that up to nervousness. She followed up on our order, which came out shortly and she stopped by when our food came, which was great. What was NOT great is that she brought the ticket out to tell us that our food had not taken half an hour, but rather, twenty minutes, which seemed argumentative. Plus, it was not accurate. I don't know whether our Server did not enter our order immediately or what the back of house workings are, but the reason we know for a certainty when we gave our order was that brunch was being served and I asked what time it was served until and was told 3:00. My husband and I each had looked at our watches and it was exactly 2:30 at that time and our burgers came out half an hour later. The manager insisted on not charging us for a good portion of our meal, but to be honest, I'd have rather paid for our food and not felt that this was a concession given to us despite our being "wrong" about the wait time. I'm rooting for Crave, as it's a pleasant atmosphere and convenient place for my husband and I to frequent. I'd rather feel heard and respected than get freebies. I don't know if our food sat in the window, if our Server had back of house duties that took him away from us for that half an hour, etc. but we're more interested in seeing Crave succeed than get freebies and would like our feedback to be taken as such rather than wonder if we're suspected cranks. I mentioned that we hadn't seen this manager before and as I described to Crave's corporate representative, we've never experienced at this Crave location a manager who comes around, asks how things are, etc. and the hosting issues I described in the past could not happen with active, hands-on front of house management. Also, it took five minutes from when I asked for the manager for her to arrive at our table, which was irritating. During that five minutes, our Server did not stop by either. So, a 2 is up from a 1 and I hope this feedback is helpful.

Good food, great service. Slightly annoying it's at MoA, but it's a fact I can live with. Was very impressed with the menu, but I didn't care for some of the selections they had, especially for the prices they were offering. Of course, you easily get what you pay for, and the portions are quite large. All in all, this is still one of the better sit-down places to eat at the Mall. If you're at MoA and got some money to blow, why not try Crave?

This place is way more flair than substance. Our waitress was a total flake, and struggled with even the simplest requests, but at least she was smoking hot. I just had a steak sandwich, which was fine, but it was advertised as coming with "homemade root vegetable chips". Yeah, they were just regular ol' potato chips, straight from the bag. (I guess potatoes are root vegetables, but with the description, I expected more.) The poor dude at the table next to me had to ask about 5 times for silverware (same waitress). 3 stars for the food, -1 for the service, 2 overall.

We stopped in to Crave at the MOA last night after experiencing the chaos of the mall (we have to be a part of the madness once a year just to get a feel for the season even if we don't actually buy anything). We and our stroller were shuttled off to what appeared to be the family section out on the "patio" area outside of the main part of the restaurant. I didn't mind looking over Camp Nickelodeon Park Knott's Snoopy whatever it's called. Our server was very nice and recommended the Sunday special: all-you-can-eat prime rib, snow crab legs, and fettuccine alfredo. After agonizing over the menu (not a ton of veggie options and the entrees are a little pricier than I would have preferred) this sounded like a winner because we could just share that and the hummus plate. I had a couple of bites of the prime rib because it used to be my favorite food in my days of eating bird and mammal. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful just as you'd expect prime rib to be. The fettuccine alfredo was really good as well. The cheese they use was a lot more flavorful than most of the white slop you get at your average restaurant. We were brought plate after plate of crab fresh out of the pot without having to wait for it. The crab legs weren't gigantic, but they weren't exactly small either. I think we managed a crab and a half each. We definitely got more than our $25 worth and we didn't even have to drive up to Black Bear Casino on a Thursday night for their AYCE crab legs. The hummus plate was pretty good but the hummus itself was a bit on the stiff side. The olive tapanade is stellar and I can't complain about the whole roasted garlic. So would I come back? Sure, if we had the money and we happened to be at the MOA on a Sunday.

My wife and I have dined at Crave on several occasions. It's been an oasis at the madness of MoA; someplace where we can stop, take a break, and regain our senses. Unfortunately, during our last visit, the service was unacceptably poor. I will be a while, if ever, that we revisit.

Crave is one of those restaurants I really wanna like but can't because they make it seem like Asian fusion is the ISH as long as the place looks ritzy/hip. The problem with that is that it's not the ISH. We went for HH thinking that I maybe I won't be disappointed. I checked their HH menu too just to make sure that I won't be spending more than I have to, and the fact that in the back of my mind I'd rather go for Mt. Fuji's HH than Crave. Here's the breakdown: 6 pieces of eel roll for $3 3 pieces of chicken wings for $5 Small bowl of edamame for $3 2 pieces of salmon sashimi $4 2 pieces of scallops poppers for $5 I know, I know. It's pretty cheap and you would think that this list would fill me up but it didn't. It'd be a complete lie to tell you that this place has pretty good HH, because it's not. The truth is I had a gut feeling that I wouldn't like this place, and I guess I have to listen to my gut more often.

Although the restuarant looks wonderful the service is less than desirable. In town because of U of M, was seated quickly. Once seated that's were everything went wrong....waitress took only MY drink order leaving the rest of my party drinkless. Once she returned took others drink order. Food was only decent for a great looking restuarant. After eating waited damn near 30 minutes for the waitress to return with the bill!! Probably would not return.

Fabulous Sushi!! Was amazed that we could get such great sushi in Minnesota. We're sushi connoisseur's from Seattle and were impressed with the freshness of the fish and the creative sushi rolls on the menu - the Mexican Roll was our favorite!!

I avoid Galleria and try to avoid MOA as much as possible, but we found ourselves on an errand with an appetite to boot. Thank god for the HH here, because we got a nice light late lunch on the cheap. Sure, the sushi is nothing unique, but the most expensive roll is $5, and two pieces of nigiri are $4 - whatta bargain! I liked the scallop poppers particularly but I'm a sucker for dynamite sauce. I haven't been to the Galleria location and don't really plan to, ever, but at least now I have some idea of what they have going on. And I don't quite get all of the complaints about this particular location. You're at the Mall of America - I haven't eaten at many of the other restaurants, but nothing else really screams "must-eat" to me anyway.

Of all the places to eat in the Mall of America, this is the only one I'd ever want to be seen at. Crave is the MOA's attempt at classy and I think they somewhat succeed. I had been to this restaurant before when it was "California Cafe" or something along those lines. Now that Crave has taken over, the menu is basically the same. The food is new American cuisine, a wine list to match, and a basic sushi menu. I stopped in with hubby today because I didn't want to wait in line to buy a light rail ticket with all the Twins fans from the suburbs who didnt know how to work the automated ticket machines. We had about an hour to kill so Crave it was. We decided to share some appetizers and chose the pita & spread along with a roll of salmon maki. Hubs was overjoyed to see they serve Guinness on tap, although the bartender poured the Guinness wrong, treating it like regular beer and tipping the glass to avoid too much head. The correct Guinness process is to pour straight with the glass down, stopping halfway through to let it rest, and then finishing. The result today was a Guinness with barely any head. He said it tasted ok but it just looked wrong. I had a glass of Chardonnay. It was delicious BUT I ordered without realizing that they sell the wine by the glass and by the HALF-GLASS! WTF. I had no idea that was even a common practice so when I saw the "by the glass" for only $6 I ordered away. Unfortunately, I was looking at the half-glass price and ended up with a $12 glass of wine. Sorry folks, but that's too rich for my blood. Minus one star for sneaky menu pricing and a flat Guinness. The food was delicious though and that's why Crave earns an average score from me. The pita breads were toasted just so and came with kalamata tapenade (delicious), roasted garlic (spreadable), and hummus (plain). The salmon roll tasted just like a salmon roll should so no problems there. It was six pieces for about $6 which I think is fair. All in all, the experience was pleasant enough. We sat on the "patio" watching the MOAers walk past. Oddly enough, Crave decorated the patio with patio furniture--those heavy metal waffle-topped tables. They were a little rough on my elbows and since we were still INSIDE THE MOA, I thought that decor decision was rather delusional. Minus one more star for leaving me with waffle-imprint-skin on my arms. Bon apetit!

If I happened to be at the MOA and wanted to eat lunch or dinner, I would go back. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Crave because I would say that the food is pretty average. However, it is a nice new restaurant and is very pretty inside without being fancy. (Hello, it has to be shopper friendly.) What is interesting about Crave is that the menu is so all over the board. I typically don't like these types of restaurants because that means that it doesn't specialize in anything. It had pasta, pizza, sushi, sandwiches, etc. I tried the Caterpillar sushi roll, which I thought usually had unagi (eel) on it but Crave's version didn't. It was ok. Nothing special. I also had had the ahi tuna sandwich. The tuna was good and the bread was good. But together, it was just average. I think that I am not a big fan of tuna on bread, I would rather enjoy it solo. However, it did have a sauce that had a nice kick to it. The sandwich came with a side of root vegetable crisps which were rather tasty! But then again, I am a sucker for potato chips and anything related to them! I also tasted my friend's mac and cheese with truffle oil. That was yummy! It had pancetta in it and was rich and flavorful, but you can only handle so much. Overall, it was a decent meal... but again, I would only go back there if I happened to be there shopping and wanted a sit-down meal.

So I came here because of its "Asian" theme and that consisted of a rather crappy list of sushi, which despite its authentic Asian chefs did not impress me. I had unagi, which is tough to impress in a good Japanese restaurant, much less a mall place. I then skipped to American with a mac and cheese like dish which actually was pretty good. Thankfully they didn't mess it up. I had a newbie server and the experienced one working in tandem to make sure we were taken care of and even a couple managers stopped in to see if we need anything. It's not a bad place - just nothing really special or unique.

Came here about a month ago for Mother's Day. Figured that it was a new restaurant to try and perhaps do some yelping on it. So a bunch of us were here for dinner one night. I have to say, man, they definitely tried to push certain products to squeeze every penny out of you. The waiter asked us what we'd like to drink...and many of us just said water, and at most places they just go get water for you, and she asked us if we'd have the sparkling water or the bottled water....like you didn't have a choice in tap water. So, we got bottled water....3 of them to fill us all at 6+ dollars a bottle. So, dinner came and all was good. But not 300+ dollars good. The food was WAY overpriced. And the food was just mediocre. Maybe they just figured that it's the MOA, there's only a few nicer restaurants and people will pay for the food. I would never come back, the prices are ridiculous! I could go some place else and have GREAT food with a smaller bill! Ouch!

Yikes, I'm sorry to hear about the first not-so-hot reviews for this location of Crave. I must say, I am very pleased to have options other than Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. & Ruby Tuesdays! Got lunch here today and it was yummy as expected. Atmosphere is very similar to the Galleria location, nice lighting, warm, & upscale vibe without being stuffy. I ordered the Bento Box Sushi Lunch ($9.95) containing tuna, salmon, eel, and veggie maki, tempura veggies, salad and fresh fruit. It was filling, fresh and healthy. My co-worker got the roasted chicken, penne pasta with goat cheese, pine nuts and roasted red peppers. It looked amazing and she said it was very good. When dining at the MOA (something I don't intend on doing often) I will definitely keep Crave at the top of my list.

I went here tonight for a special happy hour after a movie premiere hosted by vita.mn . Thankfully the movie premiere was awesome because Crave sucked like nothing has sucked before. I had been to the Crave in Edina quite some time ago and enjoyed their vegetarian sushi, so I was really looking forward to this adventure. I already knew I wanted a veggie roll when I arrived, and was happy to see that there was a special $4.95 veggie roll on their happy hour menu, so I ordered one. Words simply cannot describe the look on my face when the veggie roll was set in front of me. The happy hour menu states that the roll contains carrot, cucumber, asparagus, spinach, and avocado. The server told me there would be six pieces. The roll that was set before me did not contain neither carrot nor avocado and it was only 4 very, very small pieces. I felt completely ripped off, so I sent it back and had it removed from my bill. My server, Christian, was a doll about the whole thing and admitted it wasn't what he thought it would be either. After pondering the ordeal for a few minutes, I decided to raise the issue with a manager. The manager listened to my complaint, thanked me for voicing my opinion, made excuses, and that was that. There was no offer to remake the roll. At some point in the night, we moved from the "patio" to sit directly at the bar. We had half-full drinks in hand at this time, and didn't get acknowledgment from a bartender. At least 30 minutes later, we sat there with empty beverages in front of us and still no acknowledgment from a bartender. Seriously? The manager told me this was their first real happy hour since opening. Whatever happened to putting your best foot forward? My boyfriend said that he thinks MOA restaurants don't have to care about the service because tourists come, plunk down their money, and never come back. But this particular special happy hour was for a handful of locals who were on a "list" to attend. Quite frankly, I'm shocked at what a horrible first impression they've left me with. I wouldn't recommend this location of Crave to anyone, ever.

I was expecting the worst from my recent visit to this restaurant after reading some of the reviews here as well as my past experience on a visit to the Galleria location a couple years ago shortly after it first opened. However, after visiting the Mall of America location with about 7 co-workers last night I have to say it was......OK. We had a good server who was attentive to our party. The mojito's I had were very tasty. Our group ordered several appetizers prior to ordering dinner and they were all good. Our entree's were pretty good as well - I can't say I was blown away by the food but it was good. And as most people have said the prices are on the high end for what you get. While the portion sizes are good - they could still shave about $5-7 off every entree to make them more reasonable. For desserts we ordered the molten chocolate cake - which was again just good - I've had way better at Campiello's.

We were there for the New Years dedicated menu. The $99 for 2 had a great selection and was very tasty. The only "gripe" would be perhaps that some of the sushi tempeature profiles were hot and cold. I would have like to have seen the warm items that needed cooking chilled to match the rest of the dish rather than the hot and cold profile of the lobster roll we had.

When I first moved up to Minneapolis last winter I tried the Crave in St. Louis Park and was disappointed, and consequently haven't been back since. However OpenTable had this one listed as a 1,000 point location, and I needed 1,000 points, so what the heck....give it a whirl. I had pretty much decided that any restaurant in the mall is going to be a 2 or 3 star review at best, but I'm pleased to give this experience 4 stars. The Aloha Sushi Roll was actually inspirational. That's an adjective I've never used for sushi, which though I really enjoy it, is usually predictable. This was VERY good and unique and therefore a total surprise. Everything else...fish, pasta, salad, desert....were all quite good. I'd go as far to say exceptionally good compared to the other sit-down restaurants I've had the misfortune of paying for food & drink at the Mall of America.

Crave has a great atmosphere with an open air kitchen.. if you can get over the fact that you're still in a busy mall. With no door or walls separating you from the outside. I'm not entirely sure what the designer was thinking, since you can't exactly look over the walls to spot a friend or people watch. Instead diners must simply deal with the extra noise and embrace the fact that you're in a tourist trap. I came here with some co-workers to grab dinner and a few gifts for our significant others before heading home. We were seated quickly, but the fun stopped there. We were given straws with no wrappers - So there's no telling how many fingers were on them. We weren't offered any bread, or an apology for the absence of. We ordered waters and they were filled up with ice - sort of a weird move that only creates more work for the waiter. That didn't stop the waiter from pushing the extras every time he was at our table. Line after line about the appetizers, followed up with holding the check until we had "thought about the deserts". And how could I have wanted desert after the shrimp and mussel pasta dish I ordered was cold? The entree itself was garbage as well, for the price I paid. About 30$ for linguini, shrimp, and mussels. It certainly wasn't prepared fresh since the pasta was warm and the seafood was just a shade over cool. Oh, and I got one slice of bread with my entree - Rock hard. If you were going to serve bruschetta, at least put some tomato on it. My co-worker was served a medium-rare hamburger when he wasn't asked how he liked his food prepared. On top of everything, we waited at every turn. Waited for the drinks, waited for the food. Everything took longer than expected. There are so many choices for food in the Mall of America that I'm happy to know next time that there are better alternatives.

Was out here for a business trip and decided to go to the mall of America. Locals recommended this place to us but said it was a bit pricey. We all got the special stuffed quail over risotto and asparagus. It was delicious. I've never had quail before but I have had other game birds. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating as we each had two separate bills in a group of five, one for food and one for drinks(business pays for meals but not alcoholic drinks)

Two friends and I went here for a birthday dinner, we wanted to have a nice dinner out and were left very unimpressed. The birthday boy ordered a steak, medium rare, and the steak came to him well done. It was a gray slab of meat. Apparently the high school chef likes to just cook the crap out of steak and call it good. My other friends risotto was crunchy. Someone who got kicked off of Hells Kitchen must have been at the risotto station. I ordered the Baked Penne. It was basically fancy Spagettios covered in Mozzerella cheese. It was literally watery. The server also forgot one of our drinks at the bar. The beer was poured and just sitting there and he brought it over when we were all finished with dinner. All in all overpriced, hyped up place. Never again will i crave Crave.

I've been here several times and to the Edina Galleria location. The first time I went I ordered a Shrimp pasta that was amazing, but since then it has disappeared from the menu. I am also Crave rewards card member, but don't think I'll be using it much. The sushi the last time was really warm which is always a bit off putting, and the dish wasn't memorable. Overall, I get a bitchy vibe from the servers typically, whether it is because they judge me based on my age and what they think I'll tip or what I wear... just shows what little they know. Even after poor experiences I always tip minimum 20% just in case they're having a bad day. Most times I've gone during off hours when business is slow. If you're going to eat at Crave then go to the Galleria, they are much friendlier and somehow better even when they're busy.

I ordered a "crave burger" with a side of fries. and a spicy tuna roll. Yes- this place has sushi along with their American favorites. The sushi is on par with most of the exclusively sushi places around, but the burger was nothing special. I could have just gone to Applebees for that. The wine is ok. I also got a bloody mary but could not taste any vodka. The prices are not going to break the bank as I thought they might. Solid 4 out of 5

For a mall restaurant this has a fun patio that gets natural light and enables you to watch the rides which is fun. Service was good. Edamame was flavorful and large. Sushi was good. Pizza was a little bland but light and healthy tasting. All in all good but a tad over priced.

Awful. Awful. The service is mediocre. The food is average at best. Our two salads and quesadilla took way too long, almost 45 minutes. Considering, that we had a child with us, his food came last. I'm not coming back.

The Mall of America - if you're going to Minnesota you pretty much have to pay this place a visit. Lots to do for whoever is with you - certainly the amount of energy that is required to sustain this must exceed the capacity of a number of small nations. And given that it takes some time to take it all in, you'll want to have something to eat. You'll find that there is no shortage of options, from fast food to coffee shops to some places that pretend to be high-end such as Crave. Frankly, for the cost and the promise of its exterior, we were expecting a bit more. But its limited menu and overly salted fries made us pine for a better option (of course, that is why one makes choices - in the pursuit of something new you inherently take the risk of a few duds). It was kind of cool to watch the roller-coaster rides and other amusements from our seats, but in retrospect we should've found someplace else (and indeed, the bread left us so sluggish we had to have a coffee stop less than an hour later).

Pros: Fun atmosphere, open kitchen, sushi bar, cool lighting. Great seafood and some amazing servers. Cons: Overpriced drinks, tables very close together, and anything other than the seafood is pretty subpar. All in all: Order the Sushi and seafood and you'll be happy.

When I travel for business, I MUST have sashimi at least one day out of a week and this the best place I found at MOA. Although I read mixed reviews in Yelp, I gave it a shop. I orderd the sake (salmon sashimi) - FAILED.Not fresh. Then I ordered the tuna sashimi, same thing...I ordered the handroll spicy tuna roll, meh..miso soup was on the salty side. suffice to say, I was not happy. The place was pricey too for the quality of food.

Stopped in here for lunch while shopping at MOA one day. The sushi was okay, but not memorable. The thing that really changed my view of this restaurant, however, was that we ordered water and the server talked us into a bottle of distilled water. Sure, okay. He brings it out and pours it into the glasses, then leaves the bottle behind. Lo and behold, it says sparkling water on the bottle. The cheapskates refilled a used bottle with tap water and charged us for it! This is bad business and extremely unethical. Won't be coming back.

My experience at Crave MOA was exceptional. My boyfriend and I went for a late Valentine's Day to use a Gift Certificate. We both work in the industry and have pretty lenient standards as far as serving and food timing goes bc we both understand how it can be. As long as the server is friendly and accommodating. Well - our server Paige was one of the BEST I've ever had. After going through the menu with us in extensive detail and answering all our questions, my boyfriend said "would you be able to explain that much about your menu?" Of course not. We tried everything she recommended, even had her choose one of the rolls for our main course. Everything, EVERYTHING was extraordinary. Beware ordering the Sake flight - the samples are HUGE, not like the size of a Sake cup, which is awesome but my boyfriend made me drink all of it ;) It was a perfect dining experience - the s'more brownie dessert was unreal. Highly recommended. Service was perfect, Paige was incredible. Bravo, Crave!

We went to Crave for lunch. We were greeted by the hostess and we're being walked to a table when we saw a booth being cleaned so we asked if we could sit there instead since we prefer booths. She rolled her eyes, and responded Of course. Not a fantastic start. However, our server, Ozzie was very engaging pleasant and accommodating. There were a few little things like gritty glasses and plates and they didn't clear our appetizers plates before bringing out the main course. We chatted with the manager Dune about a couple of our findings. He seemed genuinely concerned. Overall a positive experience which may have gotten 4 stars were it not for the hostess rolling her eyes at our simple request.

Really? We had guests from Morocco who craved a US burger. The burgers were anemic and bland. Sweet potato tater tots? I had a simple salad..the heirloom tomatoes were not ripe and the mozzarella was water logged and tasteless. Cheesecake? It was a whipped cream-foam-berry concoction ..Hmmmm.... Would have been nice to be able to brag about you for to guests.

CRAVE is a great MOA option if you want to eat a meal that doesn't seem like "mall food." I stopped in with friends after shopping and have no complaints about the food we ordered. We ordered several appetizers, a sushi roll, and a couple of entrees. I was pleased with all of the food, but the Kogi Beef Tacos and Mexican Roll were the highlight for me. My entree of Braised Shortribs was also very well made. But even more note-worthy was the service. Unfortunately, I can't remember our server's name but she was attentive without being overbearing and took our order and delivered our food very promptly. At first they were going to sit us in the dining room but I asked to be moved out to the "patio" and they had no problems accommodating us. I would recommend the patio for a bit more privacy, less noise, and more light (this obviously depends on how busy the mall is). Overall a good experience.

I think we can all agree that $11 is too much to charge for a splash of middle-shelf vodka in some juice (I mean, Jesus Rollerblading Christ, I know when restaurants sneakily don't display their drink prices I'm in for a gouging, but $11?!?!?!), and their sushi is awful. It's what I get for ordering sushi at an American restaurant, I guess--even one that claims to also be a sushi restaurant :\ I would have been cranky about forking over even 1/3 of the astronomical sum I paid to dine here, especially when everything I ordered was only sort of edible. I was pleased with the service and that was about it. The mall isn't exactly known for having decent food and Crave is no exception to this rule. Avoid if possible; definitely stay away from the sushi menu.

Not great sushi. Maybe being from Southern California and traveling to the Midwest the quality is not the same. This would be all you can eat quality sushi in LA for the price of an expensive al la carte sushi restaurant.

I had the #9 sushi roll - it was just ok, nothing special. Even worse was the slow service we experienced at this place. It took awhile for our server to visit us, take our order, bring water, etc. Every aspect was slow - even paying our bill seemed to take a long time. Our server gave me a different beer than what I ordered. Not a place I would go back to given there are so many other options in the area.

The epitome of inconsistency! I've had 5 star experiences here, but also 1 star experiences as well. I averaged it all out to a 3 star overall. The service is usually decent, but every now and then you get a server that doesn't know much about the menu or gives really bad recommendations despite your preferences. It's a chain, so what can you do?

After conquering a porsion of three floors here at the Mall Of America & passing by here a couple times & finding the menu intriguing & it smelled wonderful & had quite a crowd, this was it. It is definitely a busy bustling restaurant as all the restaurants are in the mall with quite plethora of American, continental, & sushi favorites. Our server, Lily was such a doll; very atentive, answering questions, & making recommendations, & checking back to see how everything was. The fried calamari is crispy & greasless & very tender with a lite spicy dipping sauce. The seafood linguini is wonderful with suculent shrimp, scallops, apple chicken sausage, corn, & bay seasoning. The bread I ordered with it was wonderful from the peta to the flat bread & rosemerry & Italian seasoning bread perfect with a little butter. She recommended an Asahi which I love & ended up having two of them; she came back to see how I was enjoying it. I will definitely be back next time to try some of the sushi. So, for excellent American, continental, & sushi fare at reasonable prices with friendly service in a casual upscale frie4ndly atmosphere, Crave cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

Hung out and had a few drinks. Location is quick and easy for the mall. Great place to go shopping when the wife is with the kids.

I was at Crave with a larger group. The service was fantastic and everyone was super nice. The food was great as well. We had both appetizers and dinner. It was exceptionally good and next time I am near the mall of America I will make sure to stop by again.

They have a nice selection of sushi at pretty affordable pricing. I ended up getting the premium bento box that included a philly roll, panko-fried shrimp, fruit sashimi and seaweed salad. The ambience was nice with low-lit areas and great service. Definitely one of the better restaurants in MOA.

The service here is great. Everyone wanted is to have a nice time. The drinks are great! The food is adequate, nothing to write home about but the fries are fantastic. Try the pomegranate martini.

We had to wait forever for everything. Very average food. I had the lobster fettuccine and the portion size was very small, for $28.95 I was expecting a bit larger of a meal. It did not seem too fresh either. There are better choices in the mall for the price

Sweet family spot. This spot is in the mall of America. This is my second time here and it was as good as the first. Their menu is exquisite through out. I thought the first good experience I had was a fluke that is why I came a second time. But I must say the second time was great too. I even saw my 5 yr old eat all her food and I have never seen that. The geometry of the resturaunt is such that you can't hear the noise from the mall traffic just the conversation in the resturaunt. Nice

I see they have sushi on the menu. Being from the west coast, I find midwest sushi lacks, so I passed. But I did have the edemame made with sriracha and soy. That was really good! Salmon salad for main dish. Also delicious. The service was outstanding, I forget the name of my server, wish I could remember. I would definitely try this again, there were other interesting items in the menu I would like to try.

Yuri Masamune Sake made me VERY unhappy during Happy Hour. Oh CRAVE, how could you?? CRAVE is a go-to for me. Never a second thought. I wanted calamari yesterday, and I love CRAVE calamari (no jalapeno sauce though - it smotheers the flavors) and I just happened to be there during happy hour, so I ordered the sake. IT WAS HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE! I'm not a sake snob and I've tried lots of different sake in different places...this was absolutely THE WORST sake I have EVER had. I've had better single servings of sake from the fridge at an ABC store while on vacation! The Yuri Masamune tasted like cheap vodka. It was unpleasant and uncomfortable to drink. I just asked my server to toss it. After 2 sips, I had too much and didn't want to ruin the rest of my evening. It took many sips of water to clear the taste from my mouth. Where's your pride? You've lost me for Happy Hour. Even if I want calamari.

Food was average but a bit overpriced. The wait for the food was 45 minutes, which is a long time when you have hungry kids. It was a busy day at MOA and the atmosphere lead us to believe it would be worth the wait, but will try something else next time.

This is one of the better places to eat in the Mall of America. We actually came here twice when we were visiting the Mayo Clinic, once for dinner and once for lunch. For lunch, I had a combination of a half sandwich (chicken with apple and brie) and the chicken and wild rice soup. Even though it was hot and totally not the right weather to eat a heavy, creamy soup, it was pretty good. Not the best that I've had but decent. The salad was also good and for me, it was just enough food. For dinner, we started with a vegetarian sushi platter - I liked the cucumber, avocado, and inari but not the radish sushi. That was too weird for me. As my entree, I had the chicken and roasted mushroom fettuccini which I really liked. I was afraid it was going to be too heavy but is was a pretty light cream sauce which was perfect. The service was good both times - no complaints. I thought that the food was pretty reasonably priced for the quality but high for Minnesota pricing.

This Crave location offers a traditional dining area and a patio-style option (inside the mall overlooking the roller coasters). I prefer sitting in the "patio" section as it is less congested. The food isn't great, but it is satisfying. I ordered an artichoke appetizer and it wasn't cooked long enough to eat all of the flesh off the leaves. The sushi is decent but took a really long time to come out. Overall, this is a good place for a gathering when visiting the mall but I wouldn't recommend it as a must try when visiting Mpls.

I love this place. You have to first realize you are eating in a mall...you are not at a ritzy hotel or stand alone restaurant..it is going to be noisy and busy! I love their sushi, my fav is the bamboo bites..amazing. We almost always order salmon, just can't beat it, how often can you get your salmon made rare because it is so fresh? Food is always amazing! Mashed potatoes are sooo good! We have had slow service but every time we have been here its been packed!

What place ends happy hour at 5. That is ridiculous. I have been disappointed time and time again by their dinner menu(over priced for less than average food) its not even worth going unless its happy hour. I will never come to this location ever again. Why would anyone go here when every restaurant around it offers happy hour till 6 or later.

HORRIBLE - Will never return. Went for lunch. Place was not full. Seated right away. Placed drink and appetizer order. Waited 20 minutes for that. Was cold and mushy. 25 minutes later, the waiter finally returned and asked how it was and to FINALLY take our lunch order. We said it was not good - with no reply from him. When we got our lunch it was also not good. The hot food was luke warm greasy/wet and the salads were warm, limp and soggy. Service - FAIL. Food - FAIL Experience - EPIC FAIL

Enjoying happy hour by myself, but seriously wishing I was here with a few friends who wanted to share! It was so hard deciding what to get. I ended up ordering the ginger margarita, the happy hour order of kogi beef tacos, and the mexican sushi roll (work is footing the bill, so I'm indulging a bit). My margarita was ahhh-mazing! It was refreshing, and with just enough kick in the salt rim mix to make me wish it was a much larger glass and/or socially acceptable to get half a dozen drinks at 2 p.m. The tacos were a little heavy feeling and the meat was perhaps slightly overdone, but the sushi roll was fantastic! The fish was so fresh and tender, and the heat of the jalapeños is a welcome lingering reminder of how good it was! Kelly, my bartender, was very attentive and sweet. Overall, it was a great mid-afternoon meal, and I'm glad to know there's a location close to home, in Bethesda, that I can take the boyfriend to!

We came here for Lunch while at Mall of America. Why did we choose this place out of so many in the mall. I had a coupon. Yes, I got a $5.00 off coupon to use here,we looked at the menu and decided it looked good. We were seated in the bar at a booth. Not being asked if we wanted to sit in the bar, it is fine though. There was a girl sitting at the bar with a baby in a stroller. All good though the babe never made a peep. Our waiter came over and I got hot green tea and my friend got water. He brought me a cup of tea(tea bag in the cup). But no extra plate for the tea bag, just the mug. Luckily I had a bread plate to put the tea bag on. My friend Susan, she got no lemon with her water, nor was she ever asked if she wanted a refill. I had to ask for more hot water for my tea. Another person brought a jug of hot water and poured it in to my mug. Since they are all about the Sushi I would think the Tea service would be a bit better. Anyway, we had ordered our meals. I got the Salmon dinner and Susan got the Salad with Salmon on top. Both very good meals. We were never offered or given bread,so Susan asked the girl that brought us our food,(not our waiter) if she could have bread. The girl said yes in a few min. they have to heat it. OK! Well, we were almost finished with our meal and I realized we never did get the bread. No problem, except when we got the bill we had been charged $1.95 for the bread. I had to wait for our waiter to do a drive by and then I had to flag him down to show him we were charged for bread we never received. I also gave him my credit card at that time. When he did bring it back the check was fixed. but , no pen to sign the statement. Plus at no time was anything ever said like, oh you ordered Bread? Sorry you did not get the bread, Sorry you were charged for the bread, I will fix it. Nothing, he said nothing. Not even when I said, sorry I need a pen to sign this. He just brought the pen, no words by him were spoken. When we were leaving, he did say good bye. The food was good , the setting was nice. But, the service not too good at all, sorry to say.

I had such high expectations coming here, seeing as so many friends check in via Facebook... so it has to be great, right?! Food (rainbow roll and pizza/caesar combo) was okay. Service- I've been in this industry for over 10 years so I'd like to think I know what great service is... This was not great, by any means. If their standards include very slow service, average food (awful croutons), drink times around 20 minutes and low server knowledge, then they did great. Our server did not know what was on Happy Hour. Thank goodness for their table tent with everything on it! We ordered a glass of wine which took 5-10 mins then we finally got to order a second glass, and that took 10-15 mins of waiting and watching it in the well after I finally decided to go get it myself. I didn't see the server for at least 5 mins after that. Yes, the manager on duty comp'd my happy hour chardonnay (which I couldn't care less about), but he never apologized, nor even acknowledged to us that his server took soooo long at any time, even when he brought our food. I have worked in a variety of restaurants over the years, and this, unfortunately, wasn't great service from what I've learned. Very disappointing experience. I hope I just caught them on a very bad day...

Happy hour food: -Kogi beef tacos, came with lots of beef, tasted good but (or because it was) drenched in oil -Tandoori bread with hummus, good portion for $3 but both the bread and hummus were very bland; Their "made from scratch hummus" could mean "made from tasteless plaster" -Salted caramel mousse, unfortunately this shotglass of goo tasted pretty disgusting Mediocre at best with the happy hour prices.

Everytime I attempt to go anywhere else in the mall I remember why Crave is a favorite. We've always experienced good service, a short wait for seating and food and I love the food. My favorites are the tempura veggies and the flat breads are always great. I like it because I can get good sushi while my family chooses other options. I also appreciate that it's a nice place but also kid friendly. The fruit bowl they provide right away is a saving grace and much appreciated by us as parents when we have hungry kiddos in tow. We enjoyed yet another wonderful lunch today after waiting forever at another place with lackluster reviews. Thanks for always delivering, Crave!

VERY VERY VERY average. Especially considering the cost. Nothing special about this place. I usually never trust restaurants that serve more than one genre of food. I consider them a "jack of all trades, master of none." This definitely applies to Crave Restaurant. They offer both Asian and American food, but considering they don't seem to have the sushi part mastered, maybe they should just stick to American food. During my visit, I ordered the volcano roll and my fiancé ordered the spicy salmon and California rolls. My volcano roll was tasty, albeit served at the wrong temperature (lukewarm), which kind of creeped me out. The spicy salmon roll was alright, but the California roll was pretty horrendous. The portion sizes are very small as well- at other restaurants the rolls are much more substantial. I haven't tried any of the other sushi restaurants in Mall of America, but I definitely don't recommend this one.

I came here for happy hour once and we sat at the "patio" which is really just an extension out into the amusement park where you get a view of all the rollercoaster rides. They have good happy hour for night time and I got the fries. It wasn't amazing but they do have sushi for happy hour which was good. The place has a very nice ambience so if you like fancy dining after a long day of shopping at Mall of America, this is a good place to go.

Depends one what you end up ordering and it can be hit or miss. The non-sushi has always been good. I'm pretty spoiled/particular when it comes to sushi, but between all of the rolls we ended up getting, a couple had soggy seaweed, but all had great flavor and fish - Mexican, #9, Aloha, Bamboo Bite, Godzilla, Spicy Salmon Roll. Our server as friendly, but a little too talkative. I was there trying to catch up with friends, but the server kept lingering telling us a few too many stories.

We were headed to Masu when stunned - there is a wait. Apparently you yelpers have been yapping about that gem, so we left with our three kids in tow to find some sushi elsewhere. On our way to the second floor fast food options we stumbled upon Crave. No wait on a busy Saturday at the mall you say... sold. They give you kids fruit cups when they seat you which is great if you bring the munchkins. The bento box is an excellent lunch option and a steal at $10. My husband's Walleye street tacos were ok, but drowned in a mayo sauce - hello, real street tacos are not covered in sauce. You get some lime, chopped onion, cilantro and some salsa. Whoever wrote the menu needs to go find some street tacos in California or Texas (or Mexico). The place is busy and our server would disappear. They need more people there to provide a good experience, at least for the price they charge. Their cocktail list looked yummy, but I am counting my calories and needed to have my wits about me... next time! We'll be back, someday without the kids.

Good food. The steak was a little done for my liking, but the waiter was ready and willing to have it replaced. May suggest asking for a step lower. Wines are pricey, but I would suggest the Script & Seal red. Service was good overall.

Went there couple of months back. We were a gang of ten who had booked and gone there. Service was really bad. They brought the food very late as late as 1.5 hours ie appetizer. As a result, we couldn't enjoy the meals as our hunger had subsided with the long wait. Sorry to note earlier, we were given a discount because of the delayed service. Was disappointed because we had a baby in the gang who ended up waiting and getting frustrated.

Birthday dinner for my cousin at Crave in MOA. Pretty decent experience, I guess. Definitely not overwhelmed by the food or ambiance but the service was solid. There was a group of 8 (including two kids) for a very late dinner. Ordered mostly sushi rolls and dessert but everything was tasty enough. The sweet waitress was a little on the ditzy side but was very accommodating and even threw in a few extras for no additional charge. Had I been paying for this dinner I would have given this place a two because it is overpriced in my opinion (especially drinks) so I really wouldn't choose to come here with a big appetite or if I was planning on drinking for several hours.

I had a quick business trip to MN and had to make a stop at the mall. I was very skeptical of an American restaurant that also served sushi, especially in a mall setting. I dined on a Sunday evening and it seemed pretty busy, but since I was dining solo it was easy to be seated at a high top in the bar area. Decor was modern and chic. Atmosphere was moderately loud, but not too loud to scream over the table to hold a conversation. Hostess and waitstaff were friendly. I originally wanted to order sushi, but the kitchen was backed up and I was too hungry to wait. I was impressed with their wine selection and more than satisfied to find my favorite, Prosecco on the menu! Since I was very hungry and had an hour drive to my final destination, I wanted to keep things light. I ordered the calamari and spicy chicken sliders. Presentation was above average and portion size was perfect. Calamari rings were cooked to perfection, but the tentacles were a little overcooked and chewy. Spicy chicken sliders were awesome and a must dip in the spicy sauce to accompany it! If you enjoy a little spice in your sauce without burning the insides of your mouth, you will definitely like this sauce! When I do revisit the Minneapolis area again, I will definitely dine here and try their sushi. I would recommend this dining establishment to others.

DO NOT ORDER THE TEMPURA BITES. The description on the menu clearly states the ingredients as "A mix of tuna, salmon, cucumber & avocado, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce." However, the bites didn't contain cucumber or avocado and seemed to only contain tuna, rice, and scallions. It tasted horrible!!!! I would have never ordered it if I knew that was the contents. Horrible experience.

Me and my daughter go for sushi and always sit at the sushi bar, love the chefs there they are always so friendly! Normally order the boat of sushi and always happy! I came here with my girlfriend while visiting Minnesota. I'ts American/Asian cuisine but we mostly partook in the sushi.. It's in the mall but BOY is this place upscale and popular. We arrived for dinner around 6ish on a Tuesday and there was actually a wait.. seemed quite popular with the business types. The wait wasn't long, about 10minutes. There was a bar with TVs of the basketball game on where we could get drinks from while we waited. I must say the Sushi was very fresh and delicioius.. especially the Salmon and Tuna Tataki.. Everything we had that night was really so good.. and i highly recommend the dessert sampler that lets you choose 3 different deserts to taste from.. Great place for a date night!!

Great service at the bar. They got the kitchen to cook me a ribeye before dinner hours. Steak was seasoned properly and cooked to order. Philly roll for happy hour much bigger than expected. Nothing to complain about!

I have the veggie roll. It was very good. The service was very slow. We ate in the bar for happy hour. When we asked for the happy menu it took a long time to get it. I think we waited at least 20 minutes before we could order. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but at the MOA it's nice to have a sit down place.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place. I used to go to the rooftop bar a lot at the Hennepin location, but finally sat down to eat lunch here. The food is decent in my mind, although I'm in no hurry to try the sushi. Pizza, burger, and salad didn't disappoint though. I've also never sat at a mall and people watched as I had my meal, but it was a nice thing to do at the Mall of America. Overpriced, maybe, but not a whole lot of choices for sit down restaurants in my mind.

I have been wanting to try out a crave for a while so when work had myself and a coworker passing through MSP I decided to stop into Mall of America and give it a shot. The service was very good. The waiter and hostess were both extremely nice and attentive. I am not used to this kind of service when inside of a mall so big props there. The menu was a bit expensive however seeing it is a well-known name and it is inside mall of American I expected this to be the case. I ordered the White Tuna sushi and an order of beef street tacos. The Sushi was good but nothing special. The cuts were a little small in my opinion especially for the price. The street tacos however were REALLY good. The cheesy black bean and rice mixture they come with was also very good. My coworker got a burger and said it was very good... for a burger. I did not get dessert because I was not in the mood however I saw another table with some and it looked very good. For drinks we both went with the "home made lemonade". I highly doubt this was homemade as I make homemade lemonade on a regular basis and this didn't taste anything like that. Penn Station's lemonade is MUCH better. I give this place a solid 4/5 stars. I really enjoyed my lunch and it would have made for a great dinner as well.

oh my god!!! I got the Hoshii boat and was shocked at how good the sushi was. Being from Hawaii, I am extremely finicky about my fish. The boat was a nice serving of different rolls and nigiri that was extremely delicious and prepared well! For $26, it was a decent amount of sushi. I will definitely eat here again!!!

The sushi's fine. Not great. Not terrible. But it shouldn't take 40 minutes for said sushi to reach your table. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. Then later ordered four rolls to split among three of us. In that 40 minutes, we were never told what the hold-up was, never had our water refilled, never had a follow-up drink order taken. Tried getting the server's attention, but he was clearly avoiding us. I was ready to walk, but my companions convinced me to stay. We suspect another table got our order by mistake and the server didn't want to own up to it. Finally we saw him chatting with a manager, and the manager brought us our food himself. No apology, nothing knocked off the bill, no offer of a free dessert. I mean, come on...it's sushi. Expensive sushi. Down the hall at Tiger Sushi you're in and out in 30 minutes, and they have a much more vibrant and reasonable menu. To pay that much for food and get zero service, loud ambiance, and so-so flavor, I don't know how you guys stay in business except that you're at the MOA, you look all fancy and upscale, and you get a lot of tourists who don't know any better. But I know I'm not coming back.

I had to travel to MSP and stayed next to Mall of America. Lets just say that I came here four nights in a row. The menu is extensive with different options from sushi to lamb burgers to mediterranean appetizers. Everything was great. I wouldn't say the sushi was amazing but definitely good quality and interesting specialty roll options. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking to please everyone in your company. With the varied options, everyone should leave satisfied and happy. Also, Crave is next to Macy's so park accordingly when stopping by for the first time!

What's left when the service, food, and atmosphere are bad? Nothing. CRAVE was simply awful. If Yelp* allowed for 0 stars, I would have given it a 0. We asked for a quiet table - they put us in the bar, despite ample room elsewhere. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water and menus. The loud bar crowd pressed around us and music blared. We couldn't talk to each other...well, we could, we just couldn't hear each other. Dust on the window sill behind us (is cleaning so hard?) -- gross. Makes you wonder about the rest of the place. The food was no better. I had a beef and beet salad. Asked for the meat to be medium but got rare. No matter, there was so much gristle, I couldn't eat it anyway. Fortunately, it was a very small piece of meat (matched the salad in general), so not much went to waste. Some in the group had sushi -- worse than grocery store sushi. So, bad food in a dirty, loud atmosphere at inflated mall prices. Do yourself a favor and try something else.

got together with a the family - so we had a bigger party. overall the service was excellent. very attentive and knowledgeable. food was a bit overpriced. i ate the 'craveburger' - at $15. It was a bit undercooked with a small portion of shoestring fries. the crab artichoke dip was very good- would eat that again.

Probably a 2.5 star. I have been to the Crave in El Paso and it was much better. The food was decent. I had the Sea Bass. The portion was small for the $30 price. I recommend that you do not let them seat you on the railing along the mall walk way. It is extremely noisy and you will have to practically shout across the table. I will try Crave again but not the MOA location.

Nate helped us in the bar, had great recommendations for a vegetarian. The veggie roll is great! Felt odd eating in a mall, but was all good once we went inside the restaurant.

  • Molly S.

We were very disappointed in our dining experience tonight. The waiter was so uninterested in his job. He never brought my beer....seemed bugged that the majority of our party was just drinking water. We ordered sushi.....that was the only highlight of the night. We waited 20 minutes after eating or first order to order more sushi. We should of left, but our boys were starving. The only time the waiter was sufficient was too pick up our check. It was a stressful dinner......the hostess walked by our table 8 times with an iPad looking to see if we were finished with our meal....I was so annoyed by it that I didn't explain to her that we would be gone if our waiter ever came back. Who wants to go back to a place where you didn't feel welcome? We will never go back...which is too bad because the sushi was great!

Mall restaurants are typically not known to be place to hang out. However at Crave in the Mall of America, it is a really cool place to go to, specifically the bar area for me. Jeremiah, Kelly and Dana are really great to hang out with at the bar. They are fun to talk with and the happy hour items are fun too. The pork belly sliders are something to definitely try! The restaurant food I can't speak to but the bar area I can.

"Once people realise Crave is nothing more than overpriced fast food chained Sushi they will go elsewhere". Please quote me on this. Slapping on some ambient lighting, douchebag staff members who don't know the difference between cold and hot sake does not make for a good dining experience. Instead of going to Crave just head a few doors down Masu Sushi. Better service, better prices and better wait staff. Guys it's sliced fish on rice. Get over yourselves. This is why you'd never survive in San Francisco or New York. Why? Because once people get out and realise that the small mom pop sushi bars puts yours to shame they'll think twice.

I was in MSP for the weekend and stopped at MOA. I wanted something that wasn't the tradition mall food and don't like to spend a lot of money on a chain place I can find everywhere. my friend suggested Crave. I got the #9 roll. It was the perfect portion for a quick lunch. I love sushi so I am pretty picky about it. It was good but nothing beyond spectacular.

  • Jonathan E.

I have nothing bad to say about Crave, but while it masquerades as a high-end restaurant, it becomes apparent that it is a chain. That should be your expectation going into your dining experience. The food is decent, but certainly not comparable to a number of places in the area. The menu has something for everyone with a wide variety of cuisine types available--from burgers to pasta to sushi. I know several people who talk about the sushi there, but having lived in Japan I think my standard is quite high and would not recommened going there if sushi is your goal. One entree that I would recommened is the lamb burger--it had outstanding flavors with a tangy goat cheese and sweet onions on top. The most enjoyable experiences at the Crave restaurants have been when I go there specifically for drinks and/or dessert. The desserts are always amazing and creative. I had a giant smores brownie once (the toasted marshmallow was delicious), a very fluffy white coconut cake, and perhaps the best of all was a Girl Scout cookie cream brulee with fresh berries (see photo). Of course, they also have a full bar which is even more lively at the West End location. Pros: Dessert & drinks, West End location is a hot local hangout, multiple locations Cons: Similar to a lot of chain restaurants of it's type, over-priced for what you get, no signature dish that blows you away

I have been here before and I went for Japanese menu all the way so this time, I wanted to try something completely different. I went for Happy Hour Menu. They have a really good one although you have to eat at counter. Caitlin (?) set me off right when I told her that I wanted to try a lot of different dishes by recommending me to sit at the counter if I really wanted to try smaller dishes because then I could try happy hour dishes. Let me say this. Their portions are really generous. Even $4, 5 and 6 happy hour dishes turned out much bigger than I expected. But you can always take leftovers back home. She recommended me blueberry mint fizz (non alcoholic beverage - how did she know that I didn't drink alcohol?) which was really refreshing and delicious. Their food, including the happy hour menu, varies from something unique ("dumplings" made of edamame, cream cheese and wonton skin) to something that you see regularly (margherita flatbread). So it is really up to you to select what you like. I personally think that the unique dishes and speciality rolls are what they do the best. But I am sure this also depends on your preference. It is not 5 star because to me, some of the common dishes are pretty ordinary. Desserts are really great. Whether you go for regular size dessert (you can go to a chocolate heaven with s'more brownie) or one of these miniature ones (a large shot glass filled), if you are a dessert person, I don't think you will be disappointed.

You know what I CRAVE? Great customer service. And a follow up to a medicore food experience. CRAVE delivers. I received an email regarding my less than stellar revue of their fare. I was aknowldeged. A humble apology. Kind words. Good energy....go a long way with me. I will return. I shall return!! Thank you Yana! To me, this deserves an immediate update and a bump up in stars! That's how I roll. Stay tuned...

Huge variety on the menu. There is simply something for everyone including some interesting combinations. Large sushi selection. Interesting sides and variety of combinations. Excellent. The atmosphere is trendy with a wine bar and darkened lighting. Very inviting and condusive to gatherings of friends and colleagues. Large portions so ask about size before ordering - look arounda at other diners' meals to get an idea as well. Seafood portions are definitely smaller, but everything is fairly large. Our entire group loved their entreees. Did not try desserts, but they look ed good as well. Our waiter was exceptional. There is not outdoor seating inside the Mall of the Americas, of course, but there is seating on the patio in the mall which is a little quieter than inside the restaurant. Excellent - definitely will go back!

OK...sorry to say because this place was recommended as a go-to. Tables were beat up and delaminating, floors and dishes were dirty. Kids menu flatbread pizza was soggy and warm at best. Baked crab and artichoke with naan was uninspiring and naan was flavorless. Service was incredibly slow. I was really disappointed because this place was highly recommended by former locals. I would not return and definitely do not recommend Crave.

During our business trip we had to swing by this mall. This was the first restaurant we saw and decided to give it a try. We ordered a little of everything and everything was AMAZING. My favorite dish of the night was the yellowtail app. Our server was amazing. Excellent drinks (Ginger pear martini) and half price bottles of wine!

Great sushi and great service. I was solo on a business trip, so I sat at the sushi bar and just let the sushi chefs me whatever. It was amazing and the service was even better. I didn't care for my drink, so the server swapped it out for another one. Def worth the visit.

Amazing food. Went for my birthday and had a lovely time. Out server was a bit odd and didn't know we had already ordered a bottle of wine to be there when we sat down. Had my friend taste the wine not me the birthday girl but overall it was lovely. Not worth a negative review but a few hiccups to not be worth 5 stars

Stopped in on a sunday night with my boyfriend and we wanted something to snack on. We were seated near the mall path, which is a bit awkward, but it wasn't that bad. We were helped right away and had water and a blueberry mint fizz, which was super yummy! We ordered a a philly roll, which isn't your typical philly roll, a crunchy roll, which is always a must at sushi restaurants, and a godzilla roll, which was humongous. It's definitely not a 1 bite deal because of how large it was, but it was delicious! We also had the tuna tataki which was delicious as well. Sushi took awhile to come out though. Waitress was very friendly. Loved it. Will be going back for entrees next time.

Only had about 20-30 minutes to spare before I had to head to the airport. Told the manager on my way in and he sat me right away, grabbed my waiter, and then went to the kitchen to prioritize my order. Couldn't ask for better service. The tuna poke app was great as was my Asian salad. Food came very fast for a busy 6:00 restaurant. Very much appreciated! Just be warned the Asian noodle salad is like stir fried cashew chicken with noodles and then lettuce on top. Delicious, but different.

This has been my second visit to Crave and I'd love to love it because the atmosphere is nice and they use organic ingredients, but unfortunately both times I've been less than "wowed" by their food. Our server William at the MOA location was awesome though! Update: 2 hours after I posted this their marketing coordinator Yana sent me a personal email to say she was sending me a $25 gift card to give their menu another chance. Hopefully this time it will be better and they def deserve 5 stars for their customer service!

My daughter wanted sushi and knew I didn't, so she picked this place. We ended up getting the Crave burger, Kogi beef tacos and french fries. At thirteen bucks for a burger I was expecting to be disappointed, but everything was outstanding. Our waiter was so-so, but the guy who brought our food out was excellent. The patio setting looking in to the mall is a plus.

This place serves just about everything. The night before this, our group had too much red meat, so we decided to go to the sea instead. Their fish dishes are too die for! I ordered their halibut and also their ahi tuna, both of which were perfectly cooked. As for their sushi, they're a-ok, but WAY OVER PRICED! Definitely would come back for other ther their dishes, but not their sushi.

I enjoyed one of their combination lunches with half of the Chicken, Apple and Brie sandwich and a cup of the Tomato Basil Pesto soup. The sandwich was a nice change of pace and very delicious! The soup was also hearty and so flavorful. Our server was helpful, polite and kept all eight orders at our table straight with no mistakes! The only flaw in our visit was that it took two hours from arrival to departure!

Good selection of happy hour food, and the drink prices are good ( yet my vodka tonic was pretty small and weak). Make sure you sit in the bar area, and skip the sales pitch on all the pricey main menu items. But, from 3-6 pm you can have several items , a couple of drinks and spend less than $60!

We frequent the Crave at the West End, each time is less then stellar. But last night was the worst experience at any restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine, that took over 30 minutes. I understand things like that happen, but it didn't end there. When waiting for the wine we placed our food order and 30 minutes after placing the order we had to ask our server where the food was. The manager then checked with the kitchen and after that it still took another 20 minutes. We assume the order was never placed. Unfortunately this hasn't been the only issue at all the Craves. Over this place. Won't be going back.

At first view, Crave looks like a well-established restaurant. But once you try the sushi, you will "yelp" with disappointment. I come from an area where good sushi is common, so my expectations may be higher. For some, Crave's sushi may be considered good. However, in my experience, the sushi is some of the worst I have ever had. While I was looking through the menu, my server highly recommended a few rolls. These included the "Bamboo Bites" and the "Crunchy Spicy Tuna". I listened to his recommendations, and decided to order both of those, along with some salmon nigiri. When I took my first bite out of the bamboo bites, I was immediately turned off. Considering that the roll includes shrimp tempura, you would expect there to be a nice crunch to it. However, it was a soggy, unappetizing mess. With the spicy tuna roll, there seemed to be something wrong. The filling, made out of ground tuna, did not seem to have the color that fresh tuna usually has. On top of that, the assortment of different types of fish on top of the roll didn't seem right. One of the fish on top was a very strange color, and it was hard to identify what type of fish it was, which was a huge turn off for that roll. Finally, with the salmon nigiri, the fish looked anything but fresh. The edges of the pieces of fish were almost brown. Also, the cutting of the fish was very messy. Even with this, the salmon was actually better than both of the rolls. Still, this nigiri didn't even come close to meeting my expectations. The sickness set in a day after eating at Crave when I got a very bad stomach ache. All of this together made my dinner at Crave one of the worst dining experiences have ever had. When at the Mall of America, choose from the assortment of other restaurants, all of which would probably be better than Crave.

I wouldn't say "A-OK". I'd say "B- OK" The garlic wings were kind of chewy, like they were obviously a long-ago frozen and and then thawed and cooked product. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza (against my better judgment) and went through a PILE of paper bar napkins soaking up the grease that oozed out the cheese and pepperoni. In addition, the crust was heavily and unneccessarily brushed heavily with oil, making it one of the biggest fat-bombs ever. I ate my grease limit of 1.5 slices and pushed the rest away. If you go down this route, get a straight-up martini - you will need some kind of solvent to get through such an experience, and Dawn detergent is much more poisonous.

I've been shopping at the Aveda store for years now (quick derail: if you're reading this and are romantically involved with someone who shaves their face, buy Aveda's shave cream for them. OMG.), and not too long ago I noticed that there was a huge pile of Crave coupons at the checkout desk. I finally decided to pick one up ($5 off an appetizer, sure, why not), and make a late dinner out of it with the significant other. We went after 9pm on a weekday night, and immediately noticed that the atmosphere was surprisingly fun and trendy for being in the middle of a giant shopping mall. There were some other groups there--not crowded, not empty. We used our appetizer coupon on a basket of fries with an amazing aioli dipping sauce--a great way to start what turned out to be a fun, delicious late meal. The SO and I both got different flat bread pizzas (there were not too many vegetarian dishes, but eh, there were enough), and both rocked. Mine had bleu cheese, honey, apples and grapes on it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The service was fine--I have no qualms. We did not try any drinks, but we definitely plan on coming back for another go at some point.

I recently had a family dinner at CRAVE, while out and about at the MOA. All in all, it was perfectly three stars--good but not great food. We mostly had pastas and salads, and no one raved or complained. Two things knock it down a notch: 1) it was pretty pricy for what we had--16 dollars for Mac and cheese? In Minnesota? 2) Service was pretty bad. All of the staff were friendly, but we waited a long time for everything and it wasn't clear why. But then at the very end--a saving moment. A random woman dropped off a coupon at out table--had an extra? I don't know. Unfortunately, we had just paid the bill. When our waiter saw the coupon, he offered to re-do the charge. Minnesota nice on full display.

This is the only Mall of America restaurant I have ever eaten in, and I have to say it is perfectly adequate with reasonable prices. Seems to be a heavy emphasis on sushi, but I avoided that given the geographic location and lack of proximity to oceans. Had a pepperoni pizza (can't believe I ate the whole thing) and some good appetizers as well. Staff was kind, and I was happy to strike up a conversation at the bar with a weary shopper about the 2013 AL Central & WBC outlooks. In other words, a solid Midwestern atmosphere.

Had a group reservation for a business dinner on 1/26/2015. I will not be going back or recommending. We were not informed in advance that we would not be in the restaurant, but "outside" (sic) in their section overlooking the amusement park. I expect better than chipped-edge vinyl tables and plastic chairs for a $45 per person average dinner. The atmosphere was horrible, complete with a laser sound-effects show in the amusement park. There appeared to be plenty of room inside the restaurant. The service was unacceptable. A single server for a party of 11, especially in an out of the way table, results in long waits. Parts of orders were forgotten. The bread basket didn't arrive until nearly after the meal was complete. The manager did a 3 second drive-by and disappeared before I even had time to discuss things with him. The men's restroom was in awful condition. Trash overflowed. Toilets unflushed. Very unsavory. The server couldn't answer questions about either the drink menu or much about the food. On the positive side, the food was actually quite good. It's too bad that didn't make up for the rest of the experience.

Visitor to the area. Food: Afraid of the sushi since the ocean is so very far away... had the chicken, apple, brie sandwich, which was quite tasty. The tandoori bread was warm and soft and the brie complemented the decently tender chicken well. Waitstaff: Friendly and attentive, no problems here! Ambience: Not bad for being in a mall with tons of shoppers walking past you. Price: Fair

Typical American style. Dim lighting, big portions, loaded with calories. Service was excellent. I had a veggie roll which was the highlight. Caper se flatbread was a disappointment. Too oily and the tomatoes tasted bad. The rest of it was missing flavor.

I gotta say for a mall restaurant this place was pretty good, I had the kimchi tacos and a pizza both of which were delicious....abit small with regard to portions but still very good! I was expecting this place to be much like an applebees or TGIF, but the food tasted fresh and not processed. The staff was very nice but also very inexperienced, there is a lack of communication between the kitchen and tables which results in a long wait for your food....this was the only draw back, its complete chaos....you will see other tables that were seated after you served before you!! But the good food made up for it, however I must say that maybe I so happened to have hit this place on a good day....I can see it being a "hit or miss" type of establishment.

Below Average. I didnt try the sushi, but the calamari was overdone and chewy, service inattentive, flatbread uninspiring and the place wasnt even full (monday night around 8:00pm). I gotta say, I dont know why I expected more, especially with a night club name as obnoxious as CRAVE.

My very favorite place for happy hour! Every item on the menu is wonderful, the prices are great (for happy hour) and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is that during your meal, you're helped by about 3 or 4 different waiters, all of whom vanish when you want your check. Still, the best place to eat in the Mall!

I'd love to love this place - funky decor, interesting menu, even in MOA. We had dinner there NYE, and it was just .... OK. Prix fixe menu was really promising, and read well, but some of the execution was off. Pear salad - top notch! Well balanced, beautifully presented. Chicken "sausage" - tasty, although chicken a bit dry. Portion too large for an appetizer ... Almost entree sized! Carpaccio - big disappointment. My wife had this, and it came out as medium rare beef medallions, NOT carpaccio. Too big, and not at all carpaccio. Big miss .... Stuffed filet - fine, but not stellar. My medium rare came very much on the rare side, which didn't flatter the cut. The beef served wasn't high enough quality or thick enough to stand up to that rare a delivery. Accompaniments were tasty and varied. Grilled shrimp on "crispy" risotto- BIG miss. Shrimp were fine. Risotto was too salty, and fried to a texture that made the top crust almost inedible. A concept for a dish that just didn't work. Chocolate mousse torte dessert - awesome! Huge, tasty, perfectly done. Service - OK. Nothing special. Acceptable. Overall, too many misses that meant value for money was weak. It seemed as if they were too focused on portion size and not enough on execution or a great meal.

CRAVE is fantastic! The food is delicious, the ambiance is cool, the drinks are great, and the service is exceptional. I wish I remember the name of our waiter, he was really amazing. In town on business, popped in for a drink after dinner. Eventually I got one. The bar was 75% full, 3 bartenders working, it took ten minutes and multiple attempts to flag one down, to finally get one. One of the bartenders (not the barback) spent most of that time washing glasses. It is does have a more upscale clientele than most of the 3rd floor resturants, which was nice. Although I did not sample the food, the women next to me commented that the food was very good, but the service was sometimes a bit off.

Best restaurant on the planet. The owners have finally got it right. One concept, multiple locations, and hiring great employees. The mall of america has the best bar staff. The wings, hummus, kobe burgers, turkey burgers, sushi and all the food are amazing One are that they could get better is the wait staff. The bartenders are great but the staff on the floor could be better I wish Crave would come to our new town!! We miss you

I had to knock off one star because my first visit here was almost ruined ,but our waiter Michael was AWESOME. Stopped in here on a Monday for lunch with my boyfriend and his sister. I ordered a Philly roll and I checked the menu to make sure it didn't have cucumber it didn't list cucumber in the ingredients so i ordered it (I love cucumbers ,but inside sushi makes me gag). When my sushi arrived it had cucumber and lettuce. I explained to the waiter that cucumber makes me gag and that the menu did not list cucumber as an ingredient. He was super awesome and comped the order for me and got me something super awesome that was delicious! Michael was probably the best server I've ever had anywhere. I can't believe I don't see more reviews on here about him. That being said we definitely will be returning. Everyone is so nice and accommodating that it makes you want to come back and give them your business.

We had the lobster and artichoke dip for starters - absolutely, addictively wonderful! Then we each got a dish to split and they were kind enough to divide the portions between the two of us. We had the Minnesota walleye and found it good but not a really great taste - a little bland. The polenta side was great as the asparagus, but the kale was way too chewy. The other meal we split was the lobster macaroni and cheese. How would they know to combine two of my favorite things! Delicious! Oh - we ordered a sign of the pesto green beans. It didn't say anything about being spicy from what I saw, but my friend took a bite and told me not to eat them as I'm pretty sensitive to "hot" things. The waitress heard us saying this and never mentioned this when we ordered the beans. But, she was kind enough to take this dish order off our bill. A must to finish is the coconut cake - it's so light but just wonderful. Can I add - we loved the name of the restaurant!

The 1 star are for the service not the food. Worst sushi ever, had a spicy tuna roll , took out the bland mushy tuna that was not spicy, it had no flavor at all. The only thing on the plate that was good was the pickled ginger. Never ever ever getting back to this place.

In the last year I have visited family in Minnesota twice, and both times I found myself at the Mall of America for one reason or another. While there is no shortage of places to eat, I find myself seeking out Crave as the preferred lunch spot. Both times I sat at the bar, which is very nice, and well designed so that all seats have views of several televisions. The beers on tap are good, and since I've been living out West for 8 years now, I always enjoy the variety when I go home for a few days. The bartenders were friendly and quick on both visits, to the point where glasses were refilled before they were empty. I had their sushi both times, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. While it's not quite the same as getting it at a sushi bar in Seattle, it is clear that whoever is making the rolls is properly trained and cares about what they do. This is always apparent with sushi rolls, as a lack of said care creates a lazy and sloppy roll, which was not the case with Crave during either visit. I recommend the fire roll, which had my dad reaching for his drink with gusto (although he's not the biggest champ when it comes to spice). Overall, I really like this place, and will return when the opportunity presents itself. P.S. To all of the people in the bar who said nothing when Carl Pavano finished his complete game shut-out, and then cheered their heads off when a goal was scored in soccer... Ummm... Ew?

This is one of the better choices at the Mall of America. My party and I dined there for their brunch which was excellent and is a great concept. The brunch is served family style. Fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, eggs, hashbrowns, ham, sausage, toast, omelette bar and includes a Mimosa or OJ for $16.95 (?) around that price. The omelettes were plentiful and heaping with ingredients. Service was excellent. Efficient, friendly and commendable. Manager also stopped by which in my book is a sign of a great dining experience. Will defintely go back and try some of their other menu items.

TGI Fridays quality food. Another sad result of a good restaurant becoming a chain with only bottom line in their mind$. $1.95 for bread and butter ? No thank you. Crappy food. Tempura vegetable clump?

I just can't wrap my head around this place... I know they are trying really hard at making it feel like you are in a high class restaurant, but it just isn't, it's just pretentious. From start to finish I dealt with not 1, not 2, not 3, but a total of 7 different Crave employees for ONE lunch. That's excessive and annoying, because you tell one person that you need something (after they bring you whatever) and they may or may not let your actual server know, who has at this point disappeared entirely. Mind you, I went in around 2PM on a Friday. Not that busy. Well the food here is SUPER meh. The food was lukewarm when it got to the table, and my burger wasn't cooked the way I ordered it. But I didn't see our waiter after the food was delivered until he brought our check. So I dealt with the lukewarm and undercooked-ness. My Lamb Burger - Came with no fixings on it. Just goat cheese. Was under-cooked and was basically devoid of any seasoning whatsoever. The "sauce" they had on it really didn't make any difference it was just sad. What added to my disappointment is I couldn't even put any ketchup on it because they brought me a table-spoon cup of ketchup up and walked away for 20 minutes. And no need to lecture me, I know you shouldn't put ketchup on lamb, but I was seriously that desperate for some flavor in my food. Kyle's Pasta - The chicken was dry... like overcooked dry, and the whole dish was completely overpowered by the taste (and smell) of the black olives they used. The pasta was cooked fine, and the sauce would have been good minus the olive flavor. I just wasn't impressed whatsoever. Insult to injury - The bill. $50 for the food that honestly, I wouldn't have paid $10 for. I was pissed, but that's fine I get that they need to feed the machine. I will most assuredly not be going back here though, not for the service, certainly not the food... I will be content with just walking by.

Decided to eat here while exploring the Mall of America. After walking the entire mall, this was probably the best choice in the joint. We got a table overlooking the amusement park area, but that probably made for a worse experience.. noisy kids and too much noise from the rides. Service was extremely slow, which there was no excuse for since the restaurant was busy. Food choices are either sushi or entrees with an Asian twist. Stick to the food in the mid-range.. the more expensive choices are overpriced and underwhelming (i.e. sea bass). If you've ever been to Kona Grill, this is probably the most similar.. cookie-cutter food with cookie-cutter flair. 3 stars for decent chain fare, but slow service and average food doesn't help the reputation for the typical chain food.

Food was great. Manager was mean and continuously disrespectful. I came in a group of about 16 18 year olds which I know can be a lot to handle, but that gives no excuse to treat us poorly. I will not becoming back and am very disappointed.

I'm never disappointed at Crave. I guess I should focus on this one location, but my experience has been wonderful at the West End spot also. This holds true for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and even Sunday brunch. I've had great mixed cocktails and even a well-brewed pot of green tea. When I ask for EXTRA EXTRA lime for my club soda, I'm rewarded with half a piece of fruit sliced into wonderful wedges - yay for that! I try to stay away from wheat and there are some great menu choices, but that means having to say no to the Caprese flatbread which includes avocado and balsamic drizzled yummie-ness. It also means steering clear of the Kobe beef tacos with kimchee......see?! NOW I have your attention! Good stuff here! I LOVE the vegan sushi, LOVE the Crave salad with goat cheese, LOVE the sweet potato fries alongside grilled steak medallions.........getting hungry yet?! I went to lunch with a friend who ordered the Asian noodle salad and said it was good although it was all noodles where she had expected greens :( I went to lunch with another friend who said the ahi tuna salad was nicely seasoned and very fresh, yet the portion size wasn't quite enough for him. I convinced him to get a slice of coconut cake as a consolation ;) All's well that Craves well!

The GF and I have been avoiding this place for quite awhile, but decided to give it a try while on recent shopping trip to the MOA. Despite being way over priced we actually enjoyed the food. GF had the Salmon for which she thought was really good. They actually cook it to taste which is rarely a choice for salmon in my experience. I had and andouille sausage and shrimp linguine dish that had a quite good spicy vodka cream sauce. The shrimp were especially good. It was big, cooked perfectly and I'm assuming flown in with the other seafood they claim to fly in daily for their sushi. All in all I would consider going back if wasn't for the price. We paid two bucks shy of a c-note for two entrees, one glass of wine, one drink and two three dollar deserts (tip included). Now we have paid this and more at restaurants well-known as top choices in the TC area. But this was MOA with kids crying, roller coasters screams as your background music and both men and women wearing sweat pants and hockey jerseys. Not quite the ambience you want when forking over that kind of cash. All things considered I think next time we will stick to the imitation cheese steak combo for ten bucks apiece in the food court.

7 of us had dinner, the sushi and other appetizers we shared were very good. 4 of the entres were overdone, one steak salad ordered well done was very rare (inedible). 2 steaks were eaten happily. The manager was understanding and worked out something with the one who paid for next time. He had previously has great meals here which is why he said he took us. I would give it another try if someone else was paying (or just eat the appetizers)

My wife and I have eaten many times at the Crave in Galleria and have usually been happy. We've eaten twice at the MOA Crave, and been disappointed both times. Most recently we ordered a margareta pizza and herb crusted walleye. The pizza was huge, soggy and cheesy and not very tasteful. The Walleye was overcooked and greasy. On the plus side, the waitress was attentive and friendly; the people watching good, too.

This review is for Happy Hour only. First of all, let's be clear, I don't make a point of eating at MOA. However, if there's shopping to be done, chances are, I will be needing some fuel. We like to come here for happy hour, since that's really the only time the prices are lower than the quality of food here. They have a lot of different options on the happy hour menu. Our faves are the korean chicken nuggets, walleye fingers, cheeseburger sliders, and edamame. Although I've honestly liked everything I have had on the HH menu. All items are between $3-$5. You know, if the price is right.... Drinks are cheap too. I usually go for the mojito, which is very fresh and light, usually with a fair amount of alcohol. You can enjoy HH seated near the bar inside, at the sushi bar, or out on the "patio" over looking the amusement park. One other plus, service is ALWAYS great, they don't treat you like a second-class citizen for ordering off of the HH menu, even though they will insist on giving you about ten other menus of temptations.

Great waitress and food. Loved the sushi and fondue. Service was prompt and friendly. I knocked off a star because they do NOT have hooks for your purse in the women's restroom stalls which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. It is 2014. Women bring their purse to the bathroom to reapply lipgloss and check their fbook if they are in a line (sorry but that's reality!) Nobody likes to have to toss their expensive handbag onto a bathroom floor while they tinkle. Put hooks in the stalls. That's all.

The sushi was soooooo disappointing, and that's the main focus of this review and it's low rating. I know that I shouldn't go to an American restaurant and hope for good sushi, but it's a main part of their menu after all. Their website says, "At CRAVE, sushi is an essential part of the dining experience." If that is true, then their dining experience is down right awful. My wife convinced me to go to Crave because I had been craving sushi. Also, we have a 2-year-old and we had heard that they bring a fruit cup to the table the minute you sit down with a kid. The fruit cup part was true and was a nice touch that kept our daughter occupied with healthy food while we pondered the menu and waited for our order. We got edamame which had a slightly different twist with terriyaki-type sauce and squeezed lemon with just a hint of spicy. This was the best part of the meal, and it was unshelled soybeans. I opted for the $25 small sushi boat. The presentation was nice, so I dug right into the sushi. Blah. The sushi rice was both undercooked/crunchy AND mushy/pasty. It's hard to believe that a place that bills itself as a sushi restaurant doesn't know how to make rice, but they clearly don't. They didn't cook the rice long enough but must have used too much water because it was crunchy and chalky and the texture was horrible with raw fish (it was hard to tell if the mushy, cold stuff in my mouth was the raw fish or the poorly cooked rice). The fish did taste nice on the nigiri sushi (sliced raw fish atop rice balls) but the rice consistency ruined it. This dish came with yellowtail/scallion roll and spicy tuna roll. The flavor of the yellowtail was nice, but the spicy tuna was neither spicy nor containing any significant amount of tuna. When I picked up the sliced roll you could just see a little tiny sliver of reddish tuna but it was 99% rice. It was just so disappointing and did not satisfy my craving for sushi. Honestly it was worse than most grocery store sushi that's been sitting around all day in a refrigerator case (and I have had quite a few grocery store sushi meals). My wife had the Black and Bleu steak salad and she did seem to enjoy it, but I did not try it as I do not like Bleu cheese dressing. My daughter had the kids hamburger which seemed decent, and it came with the option of green beans instead of french fries. In the end, I should have stuck with my instincts that told me not to get sushi at an American restaurant. I will not make that mistake again. Next time I crave sushi, it's off to a Japanese sushi restaurant - ya dummy (like Fujiya or Origami).
