I rarely write reviews, but the food and staff was so good I feel compelled to share. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing. The quality of their ingredients really shines in the final product. You could also tell the staff cares just as much for their guests as they do for their food. Well done!

Have been here in the past on busyness trips for caffeine boosts. Today I am relaxing and playing with Aaliyah cuz it's raining in the North Land

We had a very nice lunch here. We were lucky and ate outside during a parade. The bakery looked really good and the staff was friendly. I would go back.

I stopped here for lunch and the soup was great! Nice atmosphere and pleasant folks with free wifi. Would defiantly try this place again!

They made a fantastic turkey panini. The coffee could of been better, but it hit the spot. Free wi-fi. Elizabeth is just a sour pants because these minnesotans couldn't meet her east coast elitest standards.

I really like that this place feels like a cabin... very comfy places to sit. The coffee is fantastic. Foods a wee bit pricey for sandwiches. The soup is very flavorful.

One of my favorite coffee spots, and I've lived on both coasts! It's a wonderful, relaxing place that is a great place for people with kids. In the back room there is a corner with toys so I can bring my son and have a great cup of coffee and let him play. He also loves the smoothies!

This place is a great spot to hang out with just about anyone. I got the Pulled Pork Cubano sandwich and it was out of this world. The gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookie is yummy too. A bluegrass band was practicing while we were here so we got a free show! The food is good sized and filling - I walked away with a snack for later. Highly recommend!!

The Cabin is not the same since the Pemberton family left and changed ownership. (As of June 1 2015) The atmosphere is not the same and neither is the food. The menu is limited compared to what it used to be, the food is still good but there are just not as many options. There are not nearly as many vegetarian options and the Special K bar is gone. My favorite sandwiches the Sasquatch and the Loaded Veggie are gone as well. It is early with the new owners but it is no longer one of my favorite places to get lunch. Also the hours are reduced from closing at 7 they close at 5 now so if you want to have supper here you can't. I am sad that things have changed so much.

Great food! Cute little spot. We had the biscuits and gravy which were perfect, the French toast which was great, the sunrise wrap which was great as well. The only thing lacking flavor were the tacos. Not seasoned at all! Overall would definitely return.

We chose to stop in for breakfast based on the Yelp reviews after a weekend at Itasca State Park . As we looked at the menu we got into a discussion with the staff and learned that the restaurant had changed ownership in the last week. Based on our meal, the new owners sure know what they are doing. We tried four dishes: biscuits and gravy, the Legit sandwich, french toast and the sunrise wrap. I wish we had taken pictures, but everything looked so good we couldn't wait to dig in. All of us raved about the quality and freshness of the food. After we finished every scrap of food on our plates we went back to the display case to pick out a cookie for "breakfast dessert". It was only 10:30 in the morning but the salted chocolate chip cookie and carrot cake cookie were not to be missed. I wish this place wasn't a four hour drive away; I would definitely be a regular.

Great coffee place! This is a must see of Bemidji for any coffee lover. They have house special flavors that are fantastic.

What a gem! My husband and I spilt two entrees: the salmon scramble with greens and lemon vinegarete and the the cabin fries with poached eggs, bacon, & housemade ketchup. Both meals were excellent, and though it was but a condiment, I cannot stop thinking about the complex flavors of that ketchup! Sweet, savory, a hint of clove and allspice. So good. The baristas were attentive and personable, the space is bright, artsy, and feels cabin-cozy. Definitely a place you should stop by while in Bemidji!

Having worked downtown Bemidji for over 16 years, I have seen a number of shops come and go, but the Cabin Cafe & Coffeehouse is a wonderful place that I hope stays around for a long time! It is owned and run by a family and it is nice to see them working together and having fun doing it. Their food is not your standard, out of a can, fare but is fresh and made from scratch! They also get bored making the same thing week after week, so they change the menu frequently and give you sandwiches I have never seen before. Grizzlies catch and Audrey's Smash are two of my favorites. I like their motto on the wall and will try to upload a photo of it: "This is not a fast food joint, we just make good food as fast as we can!"

How I wish this were in my town! We stopped for breakfast while passing through Bemidji and it was so good we came back for lunch! The food is fresh and well-prepared. The menu has a nice balance of great classics as well as new flavors and delightful combinations. We enjoyed the salmon scramble - tons of delicious smoked salmon expertly mixed with a blend of peppers and the right balance of cheese, complemented with a great green salad. It is one of my favorite breakfasts and this was the best I have had in years! And the guys who work there are warm and kind, which creates a great vibe.

This has gotten to be my husband and I's favorite hang out spot. The ambience is very much like being in a hippie's house, laid back with a kids corner that kept our almost two year old occupied for an hour. He definitely could have stayed longer! On this visit I enjoyed the cubana and the husband had the Sasquatch. We ended up with one of us having one half of the other's sandwhich because they both were so tasty. Their coffee is awesome and there's an eclectic blend of teas they show off. We love that they change their menu and add a new dish and a new brew that they've made up each week. We are definitely loyal customers to this little piece of zen.

My friends and I love having lunch here - our kiddos have lots of fun in the nice play area. I always get the "green gobbler" - its incredible! Great food, great drinks, very friendly staff, and a cozy, unique location.

This is the second time that I have been here and both times I went based on the yelp reviews. The first time was a year ago and I couldn't remember if it was the same place or not until I walked in. I went for lunch and ordered the Greek salad with chicken. It was very large and filling and i couldn't even finish it! The service was a bit slow because there was only two people working and a line but that was fine because they were moving quickly behind the counter. I do love the atmosphere and they even have some couches in the back. My food was good and I took advantage of the free wifi to do some work. I will stop back when I'm back in Bemidji.

With so many great eating choices up here in Bemidji, this one stands out as one of my favorites. First off, the coffee is fantastic- as an avid coffee drinker that's a big plus. I had a breakfast biscuit piled high with crab cake, egg, avocado & dill sauce- sorry, no photo......I ate it TOO quickly. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is unpretentious & relaxed. Enjoy!

Delicious coffee, baked goods, and entrees! Always have scones and muffins available when I come in mid-morning. The baked goods are local and all of the food is homemade which is what attracted me to this restaurant/cafe. Casual atmosphere with lots of room for seating. Kid friendly. Great coffeeshop in Bemidji!

Great variety of creative sandwiches. We're in town from Chicago and have been for lunch yesterday and today. We've had the turkey pesto on a bagel, the roasted veggie, the turkey club wrap and the curry chicken salad. All were very good. My 13 year old daughter loves the place. Very good peach flavored unsweetened ice tea.

Visiting the lake country and stopped in for lunch. We are from Southern CA and this is by far one of the best sandwich restaurants we've visited hands down. The Sasquatch has no equal. Best corned beef, killer home made slaw, fresh home made rye bread from their own bakery. The Havarti and house dressing added the piece de resistance. They should open a Cabin West branch in LA.
