I thought I'd give Dicky's a try (I love BBQ). You place your order at the counter. Two college girls were there; one friendly and helpful, the other lacked any kind of personality. Can you believe it - they were out of BBQ ribs!! So I had the BBQ turkey (very good!) and the BBQ brisket (very over cooked and dry). I'll try someplace else next time.

Good fast food BBQ. We had ribs, beans, mac n cheese, and a pork sandwich. Ice cream machine was broken and lemonade was out. Three sauces to choose from plus free dill pickles. Plenty of meat on the ribs. Definitely would go again.

...I revisited Dickey's Barbecue Pit to have another go. I was very happy with my service and the food I ordered. The menu has really two main directions to go. You can go the sandwich way or the "plate" way- which is a traditional style dinner plate meal with sides, roll and meat choice. The menu had a 1 meal plate and a 2 meat plate. But I'm a BBQ lover and wanted to try all at once the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. So, I asked and was pleasantly surprised to find out you could also order a 3 meat plate.....HOY! I have an understanding of the time and energy involved in a slow BBQ like Dickey's has so I believe the prices, while higher than most fast food in the area, are good prices for the meal I was served. I'm staying with 4 stars...I'm a fan. I recommend.

Glad they opened, but the food could use improvement. Ribs are often overcooked and that dries them out. The sides aren't great like you get in a real southern BBQ joint. They're more like school cafeteria food. I will go back because since the fantastic BBQ place on 3rd street closed, this is about it for BBQ in Bemidji. :(

Home of the great meats! This place has anything a man could ask for, hearty meats, fries, baked beans, mac n' cheese and more. Friendly funny staff prepare your meal in a matter of seconds. Add ice cream for free and this place is a real treat!

Yes! I am from Las Vegas and I was enthralled when I saw a fresh Dickey's BBQ. The meat is delicous and can be purchased by the pound. I would give five stars they didn't have, at best, average side dishes. As the staff would probably inform you, go with the chopped brisket!

Flew in to visit from Japan and thought I would try this new restaurant that went up while I was away. I ordered the one meat brisket plate with beans and salad. It was delicious! The meat was wonderful by itself and even better with some spicy sauce. We were so impressed that we had it again the day we flew back!

I have only eaten here one time and the food made my son and I both sick. The menu options were hard to understand and the staff wasn't very helpful. I have never been back & don't plan on going back.

I have been to Dickey's in other southern locations and unfortunately this one just doesn't measure up. The staff was friendly, but the food was luke-warm at best... that included everything, the meat as well as the sides we received. Some of the meat we received was overcooked, some tasted fine, but was barely warm. The sides were overall a disappointment. I really hate to give this place 2 stars and perhaps will try my luck again and be able to give a better review. I love the location, I love the idea and I certainly do want this place to succeed, but from what I experienced they may have a hard time getting repeat customers.
