THE BUFFET for Asian folk down south. Maybe it's the crab legs, cleaner than usual atmosphere, or just huge square footage but this place is always packed. Just like any other Chinese buffet you've been at but I see managers making a conscious effort running around to make sure everything is fresh, which is pretty rare. All in all, worth trying if you're down south. Nothing that will blow your mind to make the drive down from anywhere north of Bloomington (99 pounds holds it down up there for the burbs til Minneapolis city limits).

This is a good value at both the dinner and lunch rates. The actual buffet is just okay but the grill and sushi are definitely a bargain and what I'd recommend to anyone unconditionally. The service is good and attentive. The restaurant is clean and brightly lit for comfortable dining. Best for families who want a lot of value at a low cost.

Expected the restaurant to be packed on a Saturday night. Happily surprised that we got right in! At least three servers helped us right away with drinks and booster chair. The buffet food was fresh and had a good variety. The sushi was being made continually and was and also offered a good variety. The only complaint would be the crab legs. The container was always empty when I went up there. But looking around it seemed like most people were exclusively eating crab. So I bet hard to keep up . The restaurant was clean...on a scale of 1-5 I would say a 3..

This is my favorite go to buffet restaurant. I usually come here w/ my girlfriend at least twice every month. Service is fast and friendly. Food is always good and cheap. My favorite thing to get from here is their crawfish, tasted fresh and they're big too. Also, unless you ask them to make some butter oil to use as dipping sauce for your seafood, otherwise I usually combine lime salt & pepper as my own dipping sauce, just a healthier substitute. Overall, great experience!

Now, I understand that Chinese buffets are not what you think of when you think of gourmet dining. I go to buffets expecting to leave feeling greasy and gluttonous. That being said, I make that sacrifice if it means it's at least a little tasty. Super World Buffet was a favorite of mine as a high school student in the suburbs. I don't know if my tastes have changed or if management has changed. The food just makes me feel sick. I can think of so many other better Chinese buffets. This is a buffet that should only ever be a last resort, and even then you still deserve better.

The south metro doesn't a lot of different asian buffet options and usually if they are open they to close right after. Super world buffet has been around for some time they went through a recent remodel this past year. I haven't had any bad experiences. The food has been fresh every time I have gone to eat and the service though they don't talk to you they are quick to clean up plates. Super World Buffet offers the typical options for any asian buffet plenty of fried Americanized versions of everything. Plus sub-par sushi not the best but edible. I really like the crawfish and crablegs seemed like the keep refilling. Just keep in mind the simple rule for any asian buffets don't come a hour before closing most of the food will be old but other then that we paid about $13 a person on a weeknight walked out full and filling our cravings without having to drive to Minneapolis or St. Paul plus much less then 98lbs in bloomington with better service.

One of the best Chinese buffets in the Minneapolis area. Really good selection and really clean. they just remodeled last year. looks way better than before. They also have a hibachi style grill which is also all you can eat as well!

When you look at a place to sit with your family this is a great place to come to. I have come here every month and I have to say it is my favorite buffet in the southern part if MN. You pay around $12 per person, the drinks when you order a drink the refills are free (I would know ) The staff is always around, kinda bugs you every time you finish a plate but at the same time it's very clean. The food is always out there like the crabs are put out as soon as it's empty and the sushi is an over flow. You never get enough of this place but at the same time it's very filling. If you're looking for a buffet not a restaurant then this is your place. Also before I forget the scenery is really great specially the rocky wall waterfall into a fish tank. My suggestion, check it out I'm pretty sure you will love it there.

Awful, disgusting! All of the serving tongs for the sushi were absolutely disgusting! It was a disgusting mess, the staff was not the most polite and the food was horrible! I went up to get hibachi and made my plate, rang the bell and no one ever came. All the food is extremely bland and over cooked. The rice was under cooked. There was not one thing that was decent. I feel like I was robbed of my $32 for two people. DISGUSTING!

This is a cheap buffet, that said I love this place! I give it 5 stars because it has everything a cheap buffet should have and more. What place do you know that you can get Mongolian and Sushi at the same time? Plus is has everything else a buffet has. For what they offer and the price of $12 you can't go wrong and if its launch the price is $8!

The service was fine. The grill in the back was good. Nothing else could be recommended. The value is TERRIBLE due in large part to the poor quality food and high prices. Of all the Chinese Buffets I've been to in the last two years, this one takes the cake of being the priciest and lowest food quality. Seriously, if you don't plan on getting your food done at the back grill (where you pick out ingredients and they grill it for you fresh), don't waste your money here.

My gal, for whatever reason, loves this place. They have some kind of celery like salad that she just goes gaga over. As a result I have to eat at this wretched buffet every once in awhile. We tried to go there about three weeks ago. Parked da car, walked up but it looked oddly empty. Got to the door and it said CLOSED. My heart leapt, a smile broadened on my face. Could it be!!? Did the place go kaput? DAMN. There were more words on the CLOSED sign. Something bout remodeling. I rejoiced at not having to eat there that day, but was disappointed it wasn't a long term situation. Fast forward to a couple days ago. Got one of the local coupon magazines in the mail. Sat on the ol' davenport and perused the coupons. OH MY GOD! There it was. An ad and coupon celebrating the reopening of this joint. Gotta hide it. I ran and got the scissors..yes, thats right kids I RAN with scissors! I removed the entire page, from the mag and stuffed it in my jacket, to be disposed of later off site just to avoid the extremely slim chance she would see it in the garbage. I was really thinking this through, as per usual when I hatch diabolical schemes. Soon thereafter my gal came home. She literally bounced through the door with a happy smile on her face and in her hand was her purse. Meh..nothing unusual there but in her other hand was...WTF A DOLLARS AND SENSE MAGAZINE! HOW! WHERE? WTF? WHERE DID SHE GET THAT? I immediately knew I was defeated, as per usually happens when I hatch my diabolical schemes. I would quite soon be going to World Buffet. Fast fwd to today. Got there. Ate there. On the bright side they did a good job on teh remodel, it looks pretty sharp. On the dark side, no amount of sugar coating can hide the crap they call food and serve people. Even so I'll explain a little bit of the changes they made. The buffet area is essentially unchanged, still three islands of food, one had the stuff they tell us is "chinese" food. One had rice and tortillas and other odd assortments of foods. The third, well, sorry I can give no intel as I didn't even look at it. Thats how great it was. There is a sushi area now. I only saw maki. It looked Cub worthy. Lets be clear, I am a sushi vacuum. I love sushi. I didn't live in Japan for all those years for nothin, after all!! I will not eat this crap Chinese buffets call sushi though. It isn't sushi, it is crap. They make it wrong, they cut corners, not just world buffet but all of them, and they pervert it into something far different than what it ought to be...you know..kinda like they do with Chinese food! The hibachi..looks like they got a new one. room to cook about 3 peoples stuff. When it is busy this is not even close to adequate and I wound up waiting in line for about 10 minutes to get my stuff cooked. The sauce selection is meager. bleh. And the best part about the whole thing is they left the entry/exit situation unchanged. So when it is busy, people wanting to pay and people waiting to be seated intermingle, creating chaos. Ah the joy. On the bright side, this is a dine and dasher's dream. I wonder how many high school kids will zip out the door before they decide they need to keep the two groups separate? Wow I typed alot, didn't intend to. I just figured "it sucks" needed a little more color. oh they charge for hot tea now. I would imagine that means pop is also no longer included in the price. Pay for the remodel FTW!! I will end on a positive note for this joint. They are always busy when I'm there. Maybe i'm not in their target demographic? The overweight people who order diet coke along with the 8 plates of "food" they dump down their throats seem to love it. rock on.

Just moved to the area and checked this place out today. Made it for the lunch buffet ( m-s til 3 ) It was good, the usual suspects EXCEPT General Tsos Chicken...weird. Made to order for takeout but not the buffet. This would've called for three stars but they redeemed themselves with a really tasty and fresh selection of sushi rolls. They were behind the bar making them constantly. They weren't labeled though so my friend who couldn't have shellfish had to politely decline. I'll probably go again.

So this was one of the WORST buffets we have eaten at. My family members who live up here seem to enjoy this food but my family, um, not-so-much. You could taste the MSG, the food was semi-hot, mainly cold and the taste was less than great. I even had them stir-fry me something individually and still was unimpressed. We like it! We've gone for at least 7 years. It's got a great assortment and we eat there several times a year. It's an asian buffet, it's mostly sweet and salty stuff but the mongolian grill is fantastic and they have a yummy salad bar plus fruit and dessert bar with ice cream.

I come here a lot with my roomie! : ) He loves the stir fry they make right in front of you. I love crab legs so we always come here for dinner. Some favorites for me are the hot and spicy chicken which isn't very spicy but its good. Green beans of course! They have the typical selection and rarely change anything around. I'm not brave enough to try the cheesy oysters or clams I forget which ones they are. They do serve sushi, I'm assuming its not very good since most buffet sushi isn't but I don't like it so I wouldn't be a good judge. The staff is very friendly, I would recommend this place because of the wide variety, good food, and nice atmosphere.

Yep. They get 5 starts. After all it is only a $12 Chinese buffet and my review is based on what I look for at a $12 buffet. I have been here a few times in the past couple years and I wonder why I do not come more often. The food is really good and there is a lot to choose from. Service is so, so, there are some days that are better than others, but the big reason why they get 5 stars is because the keep them crab legs flowing! I am fed up with some buffets that bring out crab every 45 mins and not when it gose empty. I have experienced times where I never got any and I paid the same price as everyone else, so definite A++ for World Buffet to not succumbed to that practice! Also, I find It funny when people complain about MSG in Chinese food, but they think that 4 times the daily limit of salt in American food is better for you? MSG is everywhere, in that frozen pizza, too that pasta sauce on the shelf and even your beloved Doritos. Get over it!
