We've never had a bad meal here. Staff is awesome, friendly and helpful. We often stop for breakfast and have their homemade blueberry pancakes. They are so delicious and cover your whole plate and then some. Their homemade pastries are out of this world, they are so good. The decor is a bit old fashioned, but the food is great and so are the prices. Stop here if you get the chance!

Standard small town, roadside diner. The dated decor is part of the shtick. Standard diner fare that is good and priced fairly. Great homemade pies.

Bad food, bad environment, good prices. Always roadkill outside restaurant. One of the better Aitkin restaurants.

I had the eggs benedict today, and it was fantastic! I've eaten this dish at many other restaurants, but this was, BY FAR, the best. Their other breakfast dishes are great too. It's the only place I dine in Aitkin. Oh! Can't forget the staff! Very friendly, and remember repeat customers.

Thought we would give this place another try after two years. Ordered the hot roast beef sandwich. Thinly sliced deli type roast beef and gravy that was probably purchased, not home made and definitely full of sodium. Small town hot beef sandwiches should be awesome not horrible. Then, the waitress reached across our booth to change out the jellys and proceded to refill with her bucket right on our table while we were eating. This action actually got us giggling because it was so out there.

Awesome breakfast if you want to carb up and kick it old school. Check out the cinnamon rolls and pancakes! Service and prices are very good too!

I love this restaurant. Ever since I can remember, my family has stopped here when we visit. I haven't been back in several years, but it has always been one of the highlights of our trips there. Good classic diner food. Welcoming staff.

We were looking for a good family restaurant while traveling thru the area. To our delight we gave Roadside Restaurant a try. We chose our seat and were quickly greeted with the special and ordered drinks. Shortly later we got our drinks and were able to order. I had the hot roast beef sandwich w mashed potatoes. The sandwich itself was good, the gravy and potatoes were great. I ate it all and it was the perfect amount. Both of the kids also ate all they were given too, which is a true measuring stick for me. One got a corn dog and fries off the kids menu and the other egg toast and sausage. My wife enjoyed her hot turkey sandwich as well. The service was excellent. Friendly but not at all pushy. We left a nice tip because of this and would eat there again any chance we get.
