Great prices, pretty good food. Better than many coney islands around and open 24 hours. That's hard to beat. The service is usually fantastic, too, unless you're too silly to find a seat after just standing around forever.

I didn't realize that there was another Luca's on Michigan Ave. Not sure how this one compares, but I like this place. It's pretty much your standard Coney Island--greasy breakfast, coneys, and "Greek" stuff. This place also seems to specialize in broasted chicken, but I haven't tried it. It's open 24 hours, which of all kinds of restaurants seems to fit best with Coney Islands. It also has a drive-thru, if you're so inclined. Friendly staff and nice, clean, bright space.

I've been to Lucas a few times and... they're ok. It's a good place to go after a night of drinking. The prices are fair. The waitresses are usually pretty good, but sometimes not the friendliest around. Oh, and I hate to be too critical, but the hashbrowns suck. Still, it's usually a pretty good, cheap meal.

Stopped here after my a graduation at EMU based on other ratings. My double cheeseburger was ok. My wife said the Club Pita was good. My parents liked the chili coneys. My mom really liked the Navy Bean soup. Overall pretty good.

Always a good place to grab a late night meal. They do close on sundays sometimes though. So watch out for that. They cook the food when ordered like most coneys so prepare to wait a little bit before you get your food.

I'm giving this place 1 star because there isn't the option to give it zero. I'm new-ish to the area today, and this afternoon I was DYING for a Greek salad. There used to be a coney with this same name near where I used to work, so I figured it was a no-brainer to give this place a try! My order was simple: Large Chicken Greek salad, dressing on the side. I'll give them props for giving me a GIANT salad, but it would have been nice if it was at least edible. After all, I paid $9 for it. My lettuce was ALL spoiled, soggy and old. The bag they placed the salad in has about a half inch of water on the bottom of it from all water that wasn't dried off of the gross greens they gave me. The cucumbers were all old and soggy. The egg was soggy. Feta was all clumped together and wet. The only thing that was decent looking was the carrots. I planned on eating half for lunch and half for dinner. I never treat myself to a "take out" lunch and I'm sad I wasted it on this. The outside parking lot was a mess. Drive through was very dingy and old. Someone was smoking out by the back door. Yuk. Take your money and drive down to Panera bread- at least you get a fresh salad. If you can't afford fresh produce, you shouldn't have a restaurant in business!

Sometimes they will sub a pancake for toast which is the best thing in the world. The hash browns are never crispy enough, I have never tried the grits. Good greek omelette. It has feta, tomatoes, and onion and lots of gyro meat.

First time here for breakfast/brunch. I ordered the corned beef hash, it comes with hash browns, two eggs, and toast. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were perfectly runny. Instead of toast I opted for the tomato slices (I'm gluten free). The corned beef hash was crispy and not too salty. The has browns were shredded sautéed potatoes. The server offers to bring hot sauce when she dropped the food off. This is everything I want from a diner- seat yourself with menus on the table and diner coffee. The food came out hot and quickly. Service was great. Only one toilet though in the women's restroom.

The food here is pretty good and a good value for the price. The service is exceptional no matter the time. The reason I feel they deserve such a high ratting is due to their WONDERFUL HOURS!! While I was attending Eastern Michigan University it was a GREAT comfort to know that if I couldn't sleep and had a hankering for a snack at 2 or 3 am they were open and I could walk there from my dorm room! I LOVED seeing the place at night in winter. It has this small town country feel to it! Even now it still feels a bit like home.

I was in a hurry and needed to pick up some breakfast for my sister who had just given birth at St. Joseph's. I ordered three omelets with hash browns and toast. The staff was quick and friendly and made sure my take out was well stocked with all the essentials, including utensils, salt, pepper, and catsup. I enjoyed taking in the scene while I waited for my order at the counter. The omelets and toast were fine. Nothing special, but substantial. The hash browns needed more crunch. They could have been pressing because they knew I was in a hurry, but I would have been happy to wait for non-soggy hash browns! Still, it was very solid breakfast performance for a woman in a crunch.

Good food. Good price. I got my meal before i got my soup but i think the waitress was new and young. Cest la vie!!

As coneys in my area go, this one is better than most, though it still is a coney. Service was good. The waitress was attentive and the order was accurate. The place is on the brighter side, even though I did not go in the daytime. My veggie omelet was good, even though it had loads of those ubiquitous canned mushrooms. The hash browns were not burnt, thankfully. The toast was not high end, but good enough and the coffee was alright. What makes the food decent was the price, which was very much inline with my assessment.

Decent breakfast, hippie hash with gyro and feta was good. Bacon burned the way I like it and good portion. Cheap and fast!

Decided to update my review after the last two times I went to this place. I really hate doing this but it is merited. I would have given two stars but I gave a star completely to the waitress for her spider killing awesomeness. However that is ALL i give her a star for. We waited too long to order. Too long for refills. Food came quick. Too long for to go boxes & too long for the bill. The butter tasted like the fridge..even when i asked for new butter. The chicken gravy I was told did also. The brownie sundae was a 1.5 inch long x 1.5 inch wide...ridiculous & it was AWFUL I asked for my salad that i was taking home to have for later to be Diced. It wasn't at all. I hate gigantic 2 inch long onions in my salad, that makes zero sense. in the end i was more pissed off about the bill. There were numbers everywhere & hard to understand...GLAD I DID NOT just leave the $ on the table like I normally do. Apparently there was more numbers on the back and the amount was $10 more than the amount she had on the front & had circled. I also was irritated by that when i paid my bill & didnt realize until i had driven off that she actually shorted me exactly $5..as my bill was $26.60 and I paid her $40 and she gave me a $5 and a few ones. I told her to keep the coins and handed her the $5. I ended up with $3 bux. which is funny because the last time I went I was overcharged for my meal & never got a refill at all. that & again everything tasted like the fridge. I dont think i will ever go back- unless I am in a real pinch late at night

I guess I don't get what people see in Luca's Coney Island. The best and only thing that they had going for them was that the service was good and the food was served VERY fast. Other than that, it was blah. The omelet that I had lacked flavor and everything else was average to below average Coney fare. Nothing really stood out and I felt that the pricing was rather high for this type of a restaurant. We took 3 small kids with us and had a bill of about $35, where we usually spend between $20 and @25.

Not a bad place. Took my parents there last week. I used to live in the area and went there alot... hasn't really changed any. Good for a quick meal :)

It was a nice atmosphere and I had great service when I went there. I really enjoyed my meal.

Really good flame broiled double cheeseburger, a pile of hot fresh fries and a coke for $7.29. - Awesome! I had a tasty steak stir fry and a nice fresh salad for $8.99 - wow! Kids chicken fingers were processed chicken, which mine won't eat. Pancakes are good for kids though. Great watiresses at this place - super friendly. They make my kids feel great when we come there. Nothing less than 30%+ tip for these hard working girls. Place is very clean and some flat screens on the wall to watch the news while your kids are fighting with each other - lol! Bathrooms are clean, but no changing tables. Come at the wrong time and you are likely to be seated with stoners and drunks as this place is not in the best area. I never had a problem there, but was surprised to see the drunks and stoners out by 7 PM a few times. We will be back!

Hey bro, you wanna broast? Good, cheap meal. Very friendly staff.

I've been here a few times but never when I was drunk. The server was a sweetheart and the food was good of course.

This review is based on breakfast only. That being said, the kitchen turns out some very nice looking food for breakfast. Everything cooked perfectly and to order, it seems to be a quality product. A step up from other diners in the area. Service is prompt and prices are good.
