I ordered online at Happy Pizza's website, happyspizza.com , and I completed the order (info on order below). I got an email confirmation that it was received and that my food would arrive within the hour. 20 minutes after the time it should have arrived, I called and was immediately placed on hold. It is a holiday weekend, so this is acceptable, however, when my call was taken, I was told they never got the order. Then they told me to call another store to see if they got it, so I did. No one got the order. I called the store I ordered from back and the young man proceeded to tell me, nicely, that he would report there was an issue to his management, but there was nothing he could do. He didn't even offer to make the food. He told me to call the Happy's closer to me to order from them. No discount offered, not priority delivery offered, nothing to help me feed my family faster. They told me to call another store, so I did - I called their competitor. Order Number: 102396 Submitted: 5/25/2014 1:08 PM Order Type: Delivery Est. Don't order food here... I placed an order for delivery tonight and live just 2 miles away. I ordered some wings and fries... I was treated poorly on the phone, the food took TWO HOURS to get here, the order was wrong and the food was cold. The wings were so bad I couldn't even eat them. I've been going here for years but never again after this. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely abysmal at every level.

If you want a variety of options involving basic chicken wing, ribs, catfish, and pizza offerings, but on the cheap, this place satisfies the need for a quick dinner for different tastes. If you need these things individually, go elsewhere. The word of the day is "ok". The catfish was ok, but was packaged with the fries so it was soggy when I got it home. The fries were just ok. The BBQ sauce was sweet and just ok. They may have different flavors, but I couldn't explore at the time. The regular chicken wings were ok, but surprisingly, not as good as Kroger's wings. Maybe slightly crunchier, but not as pleasant of a taste. The BBQ chicken wings were......ok. Their pizza isn't exceptional, there's no quality about it that makes it stand out. I'd actually get Hungry Howie's for the flavor or Little Caesar's for the cost instead of Happy's (if I happened to be in the mood for mediocre pizza). So if it's a busy family night and you have four people with four dinner cravings, Happy's may work for you just to get food in your gut. But with places like Cuppie's and Aubree's in the area, you can do much, much better for the individual items.

By far the worst Happy's I have ever eaten at. Got my order wrong 4 times in a row and then said I wasn't allowed to order anything else even though I was paying for it not asking for it for free. Although as much as they messed up I should have been refunded my money or something but no they were simply rude and food made my whole family sick on toilet for about the next 2+days. I say eat at your own risk

I ordered two rounds with two toppings. The pizza was right out of the oven and steaming hot (carry out). I have no complaints as some have had previously and I am picky about pizza. You can tell that they use 100% mozzarella and the sauce is mildly sweet with a wonderful amount of oregano. Very good! Would order again. Maybe the secret here is picking it up yourself.

As far as I am concerned this Happy's stinks. The one a few miles away on Belleville Rd in Belleville is much better! When you find this big a difference between two stores in the same area and the same chain, you can count on it the problem is management. I strongly recommend no one base their opinion of Happy's based on just this Ypsilanti store! I am a seafood lover. Happy's has the best priced quality breaded Jumbo shrimp I've had in many years. Getting Shrimp from the Ypsilanti Happy's is a big roll of the dice! Although battering or cooking shrimp is not rocket science, its its way over the heads of this staff! More often than not, the person preparing the shrimp doesn't know or doesn't care how to properly batter or cook the shrimp! Happy's breaded shrimp doesn't have the texture of rubber. Get it from this store and you will think so. You can consistently get Happy's fine breaded jumbo shrimp from the Belleville (or the newer Washtenaw Ave, Ypsilanti) store. It does no good to complain to the Ypsi store manager. He apparently can not hire competent staff in economically desperate Ypsilanti! Besides, who wants to drive all the way back to return a shrimp dinner? Better to avoid the place.

I understand that it is snowing and orders might be backed up (not that they mention a wait time). I do not understand why, despite the fact that I'm a few blocks away, my order arrived ice cold (I mean ICE COLD), 96 minutes after ordering. Well, SOME of my order, anyway. Most of my items were not in evidence. The driver made a quick apology and ran off with my signed CC slip. Luckily, I was still on hold with the restaurant after calling to inquire about my order. They promised to recook the missing items and send them out "priority." Four hungry kids stayed up past their bedtime waiting for a dinner that was *already* ridiculously late. Total time: two hours, ten minutes. Worse, food was *still* missing. By way of apology, nothing but an excuse about how busy they are. No discount, no coupon, nothing.

I was excited when I got a flyer announcing that Happy's was opening a location in Ypsilanti that would deliver to my house. Up until recently, the ONLY choice I had for delivery was pizza, pizza, and more pizza. OK, I guess technically, the local Cottage Inn will also deliver subs, salad, and lasagna, but there aren't any options for Chinese or other kinds of cuisine to be delivered around my neighborhood. Happy's is known for its pizza, but they also make and deliver ribs, wrap sandwiches, seafood, and other options besides pizza. It's nice to have options. I've ordered pizza from here, and it was OK, though I can tell they use canned mushrooms, and I prefer fresh. I've also ordered in seafood from Happy's, and it was greasy but pretty good. One downside of getting delivery from Happy's is that the french fries that came with my seafood were kind of steamed and soggy by the time they arrived. This is unfortunate, because I could tell they were probably pretty good when they were fresh. My husband has ordered the fish sandwich, and the bite I had was pretty good. I like the popcorn shrimp basket which comes with bread and coleslaw. I avoid the weird hot dipping sauce that comes with it. It has a strange aftertaste that doesn't do anything for me. They also give you a tub of cocktail sauce that's pretty standard. The coleslaw is usually a little warm when it arrives via delivery, but the taste is good. The shrimp basket is more deep-fried food than one person should eat in an evening, but it's an occasional guilty pleasure for me. Overall, there are places that do better pizza and better seafood, but none that deliver to my house. Happy will keep getting my occasional business just because they provide a little variety in my takeout and delivery options locally.
