Here is the key to surviving a GR winter: lots and lots and lots of soup! Thank goodness for zoup! Zoup is a simple concept a rotating soup menu (i think around 12 sounds a day), as well as soups and salads. Think of it almost like a Panera without the bakery and with more soup! All soup comes with a yummy roll....and the best part, free sampling!!! Personal favorites: Lobster Bisque, crab corn chowder, and southwest chicken. Quick, friendly service!

On a cold Michigan night their lobster bisque soup really his the spot!

Great service and food. The day manager is amazing! I had a new employee mistakenly over charge me and she caught it and corrected my bill. They even remember your name. Food is always fast and hot.

Extremely clean restrooms and by the way the soups are great!!!

Friendly staff and pretty good soup.I sampled quite a few since it was my first time and I liked everything I tried!A little on the expensive side though for the portions you get.A small cup was almost 5 bucks and it was close to the size of a small Yankee Candle tumbler.Maybe i'm over exaggerating a tad bit but it was small!

Awesome selection and great proximity to Metro Health which was fantastic when I had a baby this spring! Fresh soups, great sandwiches, excellent bread. What more do you need??

I've been to Zoup a number of times. Love the Lobster Bisque! Definitely worth a try. The few sandwiches and soups I've tried have all been decent. I feel like the food is a little over priced.

The staff was friendly and the options are clearly labeled. It's nice for customers to be able to taste the soup before ordering the one they want, but at the same time, I'm not that keen on fingers and lips on sample cups, handed back and forth over the counter and the steam table where all the soup is held for service. I thought the soups were just ok. They were not great. I was told they have 100 different soups that rotate out daily, of which they serve about a dozen. For the price, and since the place is a Soup restaurant, the soups should have been better. You can order a soup with a half sandwich or salad and it comes with a roll. You have your choice of a multigrain, sourdough, or french roll. I paid $5.50 for a cup of soup and the roll that was baked fresh earlier in the day, then heated up in the microwave when I placed my order. The soup I got was the smallest size; I'm guessing somewhere between 8 and 10 oz. I ate there and the soup came in a styrofoam cup. I know many canned soups that would have stood up to the soups at Zoup in a blind side by side taste test. Put the canned soup in a nice soup bowl, and it would win every time. I did not order a salad or sandwich with the soup because I didn't want to spend over $10 for a quick lunch. Besides, I got the roll with the soup. I don't think I will be back.

Okay I love soup, so any place that offers me a variety of soups is going to be okay with me. I wish they had a 3 (or 4) compartment bowl (you know like those old foam plates with three sections) so I could get 4 flavors to have all at once.

I like 1 soup and 1 soup only - Tomato Basil, well Tomato Bisque too but you get my drift. In the summer, they chill the Tomato Basil and I think that sounds no good so I branched out. I didn't move too far out onto the branch by choosing their Sicilian Pizza Soup but if you put something tasting like pizza in front of me it's going to vanish. The soup was good and I highly recommend their bread bowl, bread was softer and better than Panera which soaked up more soup and made it easier to eat at the end. Service was quick, friendly and soup (in bread bowl), salad and drink was around $9 which is in the ballpark of what I usually spend for lunch out and about. 3 stars and not 4 because the bathroom was overlooked. We showed up around 2pm, plenty of time after lunch rush, 3 tables were occupied so I know worker had time to freshen up. No paper towels on the roll, plenty on the floor, toilet was in bad shape and soup empty. I'm sure it was a 1 time thing so I'll be back, but probably in the winter when I know my Tomato will be nice and hot.

always enjoy my visit to this location. they have a very friendly staff and don't forget your soup samples. i am giving 5 stars even though they have messed up my order a few times. but they resolve it right away so no reason to take away the stars from them.

What a nice quick service restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The menu was clearly labeled for those with food allergies (DF = dairy free). They let you sample the soups before you purchase, what a great idea! I downgraded them one star because they did not have a dairy free bread option.

This was my first visit to this chain restaurant, and probably not my last (although there are none close to my home). The soups, supposedly their signature offering, were average at best. They need to use more spices than just salt. Lots of potential but the soups that I sampled quickly evaporated from my taste buds and memory mere seconds after swallowing. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but I think I'm being honest and a fellow diner made a similar comment. However, I would definitely go back for the sandwiches and salads. I had a turkey with pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo - and it was hot, panini style. Very good! A nice "kick" to it without being overpowering. The wife had the Asian Salad which was equally delightful. Very fresh lettuce, nice chicken, and an awesome sesame oil based dressing to which I'd love to have the recipe! The mini-bread loaf that came with the salad was dry; probably a day old. It had potential and I'd love to taste it when it is fresh. The young staff was friendly and enthusiastic. Kudos to whoever trained and/or hired them. My summation: Change the name to Zandwich! or Zalad! That is where they shine.

I had lunch at Zoup today. The dining area was clean and bright. The service staff was friendly and efficient our food was presented quite quickly. I had the cobb salad. all the usual suspects red onion, bacon and so on. Seems like the hard-boiled eggs are bought in the yolks are that faded yellow and supper dry. I am sure most people fix that by drowning it in ranch. The lettuce was fresh and I seen no sign of iceberg. Don't get me wrong it has it's place just not in my cobb. Salad and pop $8 and change. Ok for lunch
