Slow service, inappropriate chatter amongst the servers. We waited forever for our food in the middle of the day and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Also, I know it's hot out but the a/c was set to freezer. All in all, not an enjoyable atmosphere. However, there food was good and I'd be willing to give it another try.

I had driven by the place 100 times but when I noticed a new sign "Sports Center Cafe" we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was decorated like a typical sports bar, nothing fancy, and it was clean inside. We order the jalapeno poppers to start and we each got a burger I ordered the Heart Attack burger and my wife had the Olive burger. The poppers came out pretty quick. They were ok. Nothing too special. Next came the burgers. These things were HUGE! My wife could only eat about 1/2 but she said it was very good. The pretzel bun was a bonus. My burger was also very good. It was big, messy, and very flavorful. The name suited it very well. The little ice-cream window on the south side of the building (56th) is also very good for a cold summer treat. If you are looking for a burger (or sandwich) and out by Rivertowne mall venture away from the chains and give this place a try.

I think they've done some great things to make the place into what could be a good sports bar. But, there are several things they need to improve. First, the food needs to improve drastically. They need to narrow down the menu and specialize in a handful of things. I had a club sandwich because I thought it would be safe. But, it was the worst club sandwich I ever had. There wasn't even any dressing on it, and the meat was not the best. My husband had the "bone-in" wings, but they were so big he couldn't even put them in his mouth. I suggest they go to Frankie V's or Monelli's and take some tips from their food. Second, they needed to play some music or turn up the volume on the TVs. It was pretty quiet in there, so we could hear the conversations of everyone around us, including their loud-talking bartender who apparently didn't have enough work to do. And lastly, they needed to get the temperature control straight, as it was pretty warm in there. I would like to see this restaurant succeed, as I feel we need more sports bars in the area. That is the reason for my constructive criticism.

This is a nice hometown sports bar in Grandville. Their food is pretty good (love the jalapeño poppers and the wet burrito!) Yum! It's a really casual spot that you can relax and have a good bite. I was impressed that they had Not Your Father's root beer. It was nice to sit down and talk while eating some delicious pub food. It's a really nice place to wind down in the area. It isn't too busy and has a calm vibe. The service is just okay, but remember, you're in a casual restaurant/sports bar and just have fun.

Our breakfast was good. The highlight of our breakfast was a yummy jam that seemed homemade. The servers are a bit slow, but otherwise everything was good.

Sent back wrong food (no big deal) and got back the right food which looked like it was cooked on the floor. Took one bite and never ate a thing (was disgusting). I didn't say more to complain because I didn't want to ruin our groups time with complaints. The waitress simply took my uneaten untouched food away without even asking if there was a problem. Couldn't imagine a worse experience from a local restaurant.

If you are looking for a good burger, you've come to the right place. However that's about the only thing that is worth eating at this slow and cliche sports bar. The service was very rude, even for pick-up! This restaurant also serves breakfast all day, DO NOT give it a try, it will be a very bad decision. One of the worst omelettes I've ever tasted with only a bland favor and a look of being cooked on the floor. Biscuits and gravy that my girlfriend got were the exact same way. All in all, Stick with the burger because thats about the only thing worth coming to this restaurant for.
