We went in for a quick meal at 7:30. As we walked in we asked to sit outside, we were then told that they closed in 15 minutes (with an attitude). We saw that the restaurant was open until 8pm.I understand showing up 5 til, but a half hour prior for a diner style restaurant is ridiculous. I can guarantee the owner would not have been happy with the service and attitude we were greeted with.

Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly waitstaff and yummy and inexpensive Mediterranean food. I had the Fattoush salad, Chicken Shawarma sandwich and split of onion rings and all were just as they should be, delicious.

Not sure why so low reviews. We're from out of town but this place is awesome. Best breakfast I have had in awhile and good prices!!! Try the Breakfast Special, it's very good. Friendly staff!

I moved to Wyandotte about a year ago and found Nanna's right away. The service is phenomenal - waitresses are friendly and know the order of all their regulars. I usually order the Nanna's Special Breakfast, which comes with eggs, meat, hash browns, and toast. I usually order my eggs over medium, and they come over easy, but over medium is very tricky. The falafel wrap is also very good - and I've eaten falafel straight from Iraqi home kitchens. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, I recommend Nanna's.

This place is BS...always has been. I grew up in Wyandotte and come back time to time to visit family. I see that this place really only wants to deal with small town "regulars" (READ: if we have never seen you before maybe you should go back to wherever you came from) Food- meh- I mean it is Downriver after all... Service -absolute BS- server had a chip on her shoulder the minute we walked in. I thought I'd give this place another shot- huge mistake. Won't be back- much much better fare down the road-or anyplace besides this hole.

The food is ok, I went a few times for breakfast and once for dinner and it was nothing special. I ate inside and outside and the service was the same, they didn't stop by the tables that often. The Grilled Chicken salad was ok but it was very watery and by the end it was gross. The bowls they served the salads in were not that great. Because it's Wyandotte, I will more then likely forget about my experience and go back because it's located on Biddle and in walking distance to my house.

Not bad! I have only been here for breakfast but always leave satisfied. The biscuits and gravy are fabulous as is the ham and bacon. My guy likes their coffee a lot but they go a little crazy asking if he wants more. Hard to carry on a conversation when a continuous stream of different people are asking about coffee. The wait to sit is usually just a few minutes but it is one of the better places for breakfast around Downriver.

I'm all over the board with this place so I have to BREAK IT DOWN........ Service = 5 Stars (Super friendly & super efficient) Location = 4 Stars (Parking is kind of a pain but being in downtown Wyandotte, it's a nice little corner spot) Outdoor Seating = 2 Stars (Not enough shade out there) Breakfast Flavor = 3 Stars (My eggs were cooked perfectly - dipping style with pre-buttered toast!! No one ever gets my over easy eggs right. Kudos to them. However, my ham was a little fatty and my pancakes a bit on the flat side. Meaning, there was no buttermilk 'oomph' when I tasted the cake) Breakfast Selection = 2 Stars (They didn't have a ton of combo plates to choose from like a typical breakfast joint. Me being a woman, I am indecisive and want to order everything on the damn menu when it comes to breakfast. I had to a' la carte almost my whole meal) Price = 3 Stars (Simply because I had to order everything separately. It got expensive in terms of a 'cheap' breakfast) Atmosphere = 3 Stars (Typical diner style but a little small) I will probably go back and stick to the eggs. They were delish and made just how I like them. The milk is really fresh so they get a point there and the OJ did not have pulp. Also, another bonus. Oh, and I do like the fact that they serve breakfast all day. So overall, a little good and a little bad. They deserve another shot from me and maybe an updated review when the time comes.

I had been eyeing this restaurant for awhile and decided to try it on Saturday. I ordered a tuna wrap, but before I did I asked if the tuna was made with a lot of mayo. Well my wrap came with mayo spread on the wrap and so much mayo in the tuna, you could not taste the tuna. The spread that was used was sweet. I was disappointed and for health reasons could not eat it all. I had lentil soup, tea, French fries were perfect. My server stopped by often to see how I was doing. I settled my bill, left more than a 15% gratuity. I asked for the ladies room and while I was washing my hands there were two aggressive knocks on the door. I couldn't have been in the ladies Room more than 2 or 3 minutes. I explained I would be out momentarily. I opened the door expecting to see the person waiting and there was no one. As I exited the restaurant the staff including the manager were all looking at me as if I were an alien. This made me extremely uncomfortable and as they stared, not one thanked me for coming or wished me to have a nice day. I won't go back, because I don't believe I am of the right culture. The manager was standing on my side of the counter directly in front of the exit and as I got closer she looked toward the floor, still not opening her mouth. What a display of professionalism!!!

My friend and I ate at Nanna's Kitchen for the first time yesterday, and we were pretty impressed! We decided to try their Mediterranean menu and split a large fattoush with grilled chicken and a small hummus. The hummus came out with a large basket of pita chips, pita bread, and garlic paste, and the flavor was really good - I'm really picky about my hummus, so that's saying something. When they brought out our fattoush, they had already split it up onto two plates for us - major bonus points for thoughtfulness! It was very green and fresh. The chicken could have used some Mediterranean pizzazz, but it was still good. In the end, we still had a lot of hummus to take home and only spent $14 for a healthy, filling meal. I'd like to try this place for breakfast!

Nanna's Kitchen is just your typical mom and pop diner that serves up typical American fare: Soups, salads, burgers etc...The food is great, but what makes Nanna's so special in my book is the super friendly service. The people who work there are genuinely nice and it just makes you feel so comfortable. This is the kind of place you could go to and hang out for a couple of hours to read a book or get some work done on your laptop and they wouldn't make you feel rushed...they would just make you feel at home.

Came here today with the bf to get some food. As you can tell from previous posts I'm that girl that can eat breakfast food just about all the time. Because this place serves breakfast all day long we definitely got something to eat here. This place is on the corner of Biddle and some other street I can't remember. :-) In the nicer weather you have the option of eating outside. We choose to eat inside because while it was sunny out, it wasn't that nice and warm. It is small and homey on the inside. Our waitress, I would guess, was a girl in her late teens. She was friendly and fast. Two things that I love. I got my usual -- two eggs over easy, hashbrowns, bacon, wheat toast, water, and a coffee. They are the first place I've gone to that perfected cooking all of the egg white and having a totally runny yolk. SCORE! I hate when some of the egg white is uncooked and runny, gross. The bf just got a simple gyro. It wasn't anything fancy and special, but it was good. I know because he let me take a bite. :-) We got our food very fast and what I loved is it seemed an older waitress (late 30's, early 40's?) liked interacting with people so much that she was talking to all the people eating at the counter. They, in turn, were all participating in the conversation. They had a large menu for a diner. The menu was four full pages. Everything from breakfast food, sandwhiches, gyros, middle eastern food (no joke, it looked super good), hamburgers, salads, soups, etc. There is something for everyone in this menu. What I loved the most is it's SOOOOO cheap!!! My entire meal, coffee included, was about $5.00. The gyro was around $7.00. If you are looking for a cheap place to eat with friends, grandparents, your family, or heck -- even a first date. I would come here. It's such a lax, clean, and cute atmosphere you can't help but love it.

Been here several times, mainly for breakfast, and it's always been great. The staff is very pleasant, the service is generally quick, and the portions are just right, maybe a little on the large size. I can't speak to their lunch, but breakfast is excellent.

I arrived at the detroit metro ariport at 8am from NYC- my sister and her husband picked me up and we needed a spot where my other sister and her husband could meet us. We wanted something on the river so we drove down to Wyandotte which we heard was a cool place--- So we drove along Biddle and saw this cute restaurant with an outdoor paito wiht umbrellas and stopped there. 4 of us has really great omellettes and one corned beef hash.....we all enjoyed our meals- the service was great and coffee kept coming... I would seriously give it 5 stars if the coffee was not michigan blend - which is weak - but I am a new yorker.....and i like my coffee strong. i would go back any time i was in the neighborhood.

Another great Mom & Pop place in Downriver. I don't know how they can offer so many choices on their menu and make each one perfectly. The inside is pleasing and clean - with fast service and a family atmosphere. They offer a very appealing and diverse selection of ethnic specials. I defiintely put this place on my "reliable" list.

At first I was excited to go to this place. They advertised "NOW MEDITERRANEAN FOOD". I've never been there before so I figured I'd give it a try as my wife and kids love this type of food. We went there a few Sundays ago for the first time, and we seated pretty fast, tho the waitress took a while to bring water and kids menus-I think she forgot about us since she took the order of a table behind us that came in AFTER us. We ordered the tabbouleh and it was maybe the size of a small scoop of ice cream, basically 2 or 3 bites-TOTAL RIP OFF! We were gonna order the small hummus but the large was a dollar more and the waitress said "IT WILL FEED A WHOLE TABLE". It literally was a small plate and they just covered the plate with a very thin layer of hummus-NOT A LOT AT ALL! The hummus was sour also, either too much lemon or something. Then I ordered a hummus and falafal sandwich and they forgot the hummus. The waitress had them remake it ,but my family was done eating before the sandwich came back to me-and still had a very small amount of hummus which made the sandwich very dry! We also ordered a rice salad which was 6 or 7 dollars and it had very little rice, mostly salad though it was called a rice salad. Now I get all these dishes a lot around town and we pay a lot less and get about 4 or 5 times the amount of food(usually at Alex's Kabob house on Eureka). This is seriously the worst place I've ever went for Mediterranean food and I've been to at least 20! VERY VERY SMALL PORTIONS and not very good at all. So then, when we went to pay our bill, the girl at the cash register asked "how was your meal?", to which my wife replied in a not-so-happy tone, "It was OK.". The girl didn't even attempt to ask why or say anything after that. She was obviously not working in the right profession-no good customer service at all. Mind you, they weren't really even busy at this time, she could of asked "what was wrong with your meal?". She just looked at my wife with a blank stare and handed back her credit card. I live in the area and I will NEVER go back. Waste of 22 dollars! Well, 26 dollars since we tipped the waitress 4 bucks. I could pay half as much, or at least the same amount and get 4 or 5 times the amount! I'm sure the breakfasts are ok(how can you screw up eggs?), but I refuse to go there for that since the girl had no interest in even asking or even caring that our meal wasn't good. If she would of tried to rectify the situation, I might of went back to try the breakfast. I guess I'll just stick with places that I know are good. I wont be coming back here. Seriously. The girl showed not even the slightest bit of emotion toward our bad experience. Mediterranean food for dumb white people.
