Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I grew up in Michagan and love the ABC you just cannot get elsewhere. Came home after 25years and hear its hard to find. This place gave us a TON of the best Almond breaded chicken, beef and broccoli, egg rolls ever. This is the spot.

Good food, generous portions, affordable prices and the almond chicken actually looked and tasted like chicken! What more can you ask for in a Chinese place? The staff is a mix of Chinese and Americans and all speak English well. This is the most consistent good Chinese food downriver.

This is my favorite go to carry-out Chinese restaurant. Food quality is very good and consistent. Portion size is large! Staff is friendly with carry-out orders prepared quickly. Dining area is worn and doesn't have the cleanest appearance. Kitchen area is open so you see what you get. Call them up and place an order, you won't be disappointed!

Hands down, the best chinese restaurant downriver. I like to eat and can eat until I drop. A dinner combo from here will feed me for two days. The most unique Almond Chicken you will ever have.

The best place for carryout in the area. Huge portions and great prices. Never had a bad experience going here. Have been a loyal customer for at least 10 years.

This is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Dining inside can be a bit cramped and they tend to get super busy around dinner so take out is your best bet. One dinner usually lasts me about 3 meals and their prices are super reasonable.

Dined in this evening and really enjoyed it. NO SMOKERS! I had the usual yummy Hot and Sour soup but instead of ordering off the menu, I asked the server (the owner/chefs daughter) to recommend me a dish. I am glad I did. I had the Singapore rice noodles with Shrimp, Chicken and Pork. They were spiced with yellow curry and turmeric and were delicate and tasty. No question the best Chinese food Downriver. The server was very sweet and helpful. Just say no to Chinese Buffets!!!

I found this little place (and I do mean little) when I lived in the fruit section in Southgate 13 years ago. The food portions are huge (I can eat 3x off one dinner combo!) and the prices very reasonable. Try the Szechuan Shrimp or Szechuan Chicken..not overly spicy and just to die for. . The usual suspects (Almond Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, Pepper Steak, Egg Drop Soup) ) are all very good too. The owner lady is really, really nice. We moved to a new town downriver and still come back here for carry out all the time. BEWARE: closed Sunday and Monday!!

This little place is close to home and non smoking which are 2 good things! The portions are quite large, especially for carry-out...they have to staple the box shut...and two can eat very well.. My husband is a fan of the General's chicken, and they'll make it as spicy as you want. I'm not that fond of the rice....Lichee Gardens has the BEST rice hands down, but their fried dumplings are great !

This is my favorite chinese place. I have only tried the generals chicken, seaseme chicken, and sweet n sour chicken. All are great but I prefer the seaseme chicken (it has a nice kick to it). The quality if the chicken is tops and that is important when eating chinese. The portions are huge ans prices and service are good.

I'm a Sweet n' Sour Chicken kinda guy and I like what they served up. No thrills except for the cool plate designs. Good size portions.
