First time here and it was a very good experience. The gentleman at the counter was very nice. Ordered the Pick 2 Special with ribs, pulled pork sandwich, fries and cole slaw with a drink. It was all very good. Dined inside to experience the place. It was a nice and comfortable area. Overall - very good, will return again.

Just amazing! Second time there and I'm telling you, you gotta go. Get the pulled pork. It's just phenomenal. The ribs would get a 4/5 stars for me. A little pricey, and not the best I've had but still darn good. Sides are fantastic. Very good Mac and cheese, and I'd eat the baked beans all day if I could. Let loose that belt a couple notches, 'cause you're gonna need the room!

Awesome smoked BBQ chicken, pork, and ribs with fresh hand cut fries! Be sure to ask for the hot BBQ sauce for some extra kick.

Good pulled pork sandwich. Very simple place. Sauce choices are just sweet or hot. No fancy drinks, just canned or fountain sodas. Very helpful and courteous staff. Nice place for simply good food. :) Looking forward to trying the ribs next time!

I stopped into Noodles after reading the positive reviews, planning on some tasty BBQ. I came away pretty disappointed. I had a pulled pork sandwich and fries, carry out. The food was all hot and made fresh for me, but the fries were undercooked and soggy, no flavor. These are not the crispy, thick, hand cut fries that they should be, they were closer to something you buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. The pulled pork was on a standard issue, undersized hamburger bun and was soggy by the time I got home (5 minutes from buying). The pork was flavorful, but did not blow me away. Prices are not great either. It was about $11 for a sandwich and fries. I can do much better for that much coin. The restaurant was absolutely dead when I arrived on a Friday evening, I was literally the only one there. The interior has no style, and was clearly done on the cheap. Which honestly means nothing if the food is great, but it was not. I'll pass.

Very good BBQ good prices but... Need to have greens on menu every day. You won't be disappointed very good

Quite poor. The bun on my pulled pork sandwich was stale, and the meat was cold. I did enjoy the coleslaw. I've eaten a lot of excellent bbq, but I just didn't care at all for the flavor offered here.

Just finished my bbq sandwich and it was awesome. Come here for great Smoked bbq. Their Mac n cheese always goes great with it too. Their bbq sauce is something similar to open pit. Goes well with the smoked tatse. Expect to get a ton of pork and make a mess. Never actually dined in, always have take out. I suggest getting there right as your order hits the counter. Any bbq sandwich would get soggy after sitting. Even soggy i would demolish it.

Great place to eat. We actually showed up here to eat with a group of about 20 people. When we pulled up we saw that they did not open for another 2 hours. As we were in the parking lot trying to decide where else to eat, the owner came out and told us that he would open early for us. The food was great and the staff showed great hospitality..... A big thanks to the staff of Chef noodle bbq.

Fantastic everything. Had dinner combo with pulled pork sandwich and ribs. Everything smoked to perfection. Great rub on ribs. The barbecue sauces were fantastic also. One regular and one spicy one. Very friendly service.

Excellent smokey BBQ. Fries are generous and have skins--- just the way they should. The hot barbeque sauce is a must!
(5)Crystal H.
I have had the ribs, the chicken, the pulled pork, mac & cheese, baked beans and fries. Lets say I couldn't stop eating once I was full. There is this hot BBQ that is also good if you like hot food. I have come back plenty of times from Southfield. BTW I like my ribs without sauce - just that good!

Fantastic real-deal BBQ'd pulled pork and ribs. Great smoke flavor and tasty sauce. The sides are generally quite good, particularly the baked beans (though the coleslaw is a bit underdressed for my taste), but could be a little bigger for the price. I haven't had the corned beef yet, but am looking forward to trying it. If you like BBQ check this place out!

This place will be a hit! You can read about Chef Noodles and his former setup in a parking lot down Wixom road if you do a google search. I've been stopping by road side for quite a while. My best friend lives just a mile away, and we have been eagerly awaiting this opening. We used to come to Sizzilin Subs which was the former tenant to this lease space. Chef Noodles catered my friends subdivision party this summer. and will be catering his b-day party. If that doesn't tell you how good this stuff is, maybe the rest of my review will, or the fact I drive from Troy to come here... Today was my first time in since they opened. Since I've tried most of his stuff road side, I was excited to see that 'corned beef' was added to the menu for the restaurant, and has a place on the sign out front. I had the corned beef small sammich, on Rye w/ slaw, Russian, and swiss. The corned beef was very moist I've never had it it this good. I eat at a lot of deli's, and know my way around a corned beef or pastrami sammich. Afterward I talked with the man in charge of the corned beef (not chef noodles), and found out it's a family specialty from his parents who have a successfully running deli. The Russian is a homemade recipe too. YUM! I also had a 1/4 slab of ribs which are unlike anything I've had. I will say though that the outermost two ribs were a little on the dry side. If you want BBQ half as good as Chef Noodles, you need to drive all to Lockhart's in Royal Oak, or drive down South. As in many states South. So for those on the walled lake / Wixom side of town, you are in for a honey hole. Others in my party had the pulled pork sammie, rib tips, and ribs. Win. A combo gets you a drink, side of slaw, and some awesome fries! The smoke penetration on his pork is great. That pink line goes deep into the pork butt, and the bark.... oooooh the bark! The pulled pork is on point. It was so good having lunch, that when my friend's wife came home, WE WENT BACK FOR DINNER! Yea, first time there, twice in one day. Second time around I got the corned beef full size sammich with extra meat for $2 with slaw, swiss, and on an ONION ROLL! Yessssssssssss. You order counter style, and pickup your food when they call your name. There's limited seating inside as they are still building the place out. Patio seating next year would be a great addition. Sometimes he runs out of things for the day, so I've tried to encourage them to get a Twitter account going to post outages, specials, ect. NOTE: Closed Mondays. TIP: Take a big whiff of the smoker before going inside to boost your flavor senses. Yelp PRICE SCALE: $$ to $$$ ----------- Little update as of 8.26.12: They have added several large round top tables that hold up to six if I recall correctly. This helps with overall seating availability, and larger groups as the booths were limited to four people max. Also have now sampled the home made mac and cheese, and beans. Yum yum. Simple, basic, and good. I like to put some bbq sauce on my mac n cheese. In addition the pulled pork sandwich bun is from a local baker. It's different than served last week, and my co-diner favored it highly. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich to go for my dad to try back in Troy, and they happily assembled me a deconstructed sandwich to go. They used several pieces of deli paper to wrap the bun, and meat separate. BBQ sauce was included in a sealed plastic cup as well. Props for that.

As a few others have pointed out. I can't understand how some reviewers are giving this place, 4 or 5 stars when, 2 stars is pretty generous. Only explanation, they haven't experienced true BBQ. Strike 1: My first stop at Noodles was on a whim so, I decided to purchase a 1/4 slab of ribs to go. The price was $10 and this was pretty steep for such a small amount. Strike 2: The girl behind the counter (owners daughter?) was far from customer friendly. She appeared to be more concerned in text messaging on her cell phone and got agitated when, I interrupted her to give my order a second time. Strike 3: I requested the regular BBQ sauce and found that they slathered on the spicy sauce only after, I drove the 10 miles to my home and had taken my first bite. This was my first and will be my last visit to this place. The first impression as a whole was not good and with the many BBQ places in Metro Detroit, it won't be missed.

I hadn't heard of Chef Noodles before the new location, but I was pretty excited to try it out, and ended up ordering almost one of everything. Right off the bat, the corned beef is exquisite. Like "Hang your head in shame, Star Deli" good. Though, Chef Noodles doesn't believe in toasted bread, so unless you're eating there, your sandwich probably won't survive a trip home without getting soggy. Pulled pork was also a treat. The meat was firm, but tender, and thoroughly smoked. I opted to get it dry with BBQ on the side, and stand by that decision. The pulled pork really stands well on its own. I thought i'd continue un-sauced on the ribs, and I've got to say, they were a total disappointment. The rack had a strange cut to it, the meat had an almost jerky-like texture on some of the tips, and the flavor smacked of off-the-shelf seasoning from Gordon Food Service. The sauce drove that sentiment home, though, because it's just plain old Open Pit. If you know Open Pit, you know it's passable once it's been heated and caramelized, but having it uncooked on anything is pretty nasty, and the ribs were no exception. I opted for sides, but to be honest, the only one I even remember is the potato salad. It seemed homemade, and heavy on the mustard. All things considered, I was fairly impressed with Chef Noodles. I'd skip on the ribs, but for corned beef aficionados, this is a must-try.

The worst run restaurant in the area.the posted hours mean nothing, they seem to be open only sometimes. The 3 times I've tried to eat there when they were actually open always out of ribs. Hello this is a bbq joint! The food I settled for the first time I was there was just okay nothing special.

Love this spot. Great Mac & cheese, the fries are Awsome. I love the pulled pork . The ribs are great nice thick on them , I do sauce on the side . My favorite way to eat is to stay and eat there. The fries are delicious when their fresh. I am not a brisket lover however it is also delicious .

So I had to write a review here. I ordered the lunch "special" with pulled pork sandwich and ribs and oh my!! The food was extremely dry near in-edible. The off tasting BBQ sauce wasn't a help I had to use my own. No rub was used and all you could taste was a bitter smoke flavor because it was over-smoked which a lot of places do around here. The pulled pork had a little moisture in it cause it was being held in a streamer all day long so obviously not fresh. The coleslaw was something they bought in a store and not made in house. The only thing fresh were the fries cause I saw him drop those when I ordered. All I have to say is to the people who gave this place 5 stars you really need to get out and try BBQ elsewhere like Kansas City. And if the BBQ wasn't bad enough I saw a pan of Mac n cheese sitting out to open air cool. Which if you know anything is a HUGE food safety problem and could get people sick. I won't ever return to this place.

This place is a hidden gem you will not be disappointed. The pulled pork is as good as it gets and the BBQ sauce is excellent. Give it a try you will not be sorry!!! -Sammy

We used to stop by for the ribs and fries when they were just in a parking lot! Love these ribs! Better to us than Famous Dave's (the other local rib option) hands down! Food is fresh with smoker right outside. We don't go here looking for a classy dine-in restaurant, we go for good ribs! Easy to take home after work and we love supporting these guys!

I do not know why every one is giving this place 5 stars. First off, the place looks like a 5 guys, not a BBQ place. The portions are VERY SMALL and over priced. I was floored when I ordered the 1/4 chicken for $6 and it was 2 tiny pieces, a drumstick and a thigh and THAT WAS IT, nothing included. The $12.99 "special" is pick 2 pulled pork sandwich, 1/4 slab of ribs, or 1/4 chicken, order of fries, thimble of coleslaw and a can of soda. All of the food was luke warm with the exception of the fries. The ribs and chicken are smoked with no sauce on them, the provide that on the side and it was good. For the money , I would much rather go to Famous Daves. I will not be returning. One more thing, they did not have any mac & cheese at dinner time, my kids were still hungry and I had to buy them a second "meal" elsewhere.

My family bought a whole slab of ribs, a half chicken, and an order of baked beans and coleslaw for dinner tonight and it did not disappoint. The ribs were huge and the meatiest we've ever had, with a delicious BBQ sauce to compliment the taste. The beans were my favorite, very tasty and tangy. We loved the entire meal and will definitely be back for carryout. The only thing I would change would be to offer a larger portion size for the coleslaw and beans.

I live about a half mile away, so I was hoping to have a good "go-to" nearby restaurant. I have been greatly disappointed in this BBQ. First of all, the good. The corned beef is actually decent. It is about the only thing I order from this place anymore. The sides are also good. Now the bad. The ribs are not very good. I have tried them three times. They simply are not my cup of tea. The cut is weird, and I have found it very difficult to separate the ribs. I have found two of the three racks to be essentially inedible. The taste was strong with smoked wood and short on flavor. The sauce was runny and not very memorable. I understand that ones taste for ribs can be subjective. Some like them soft and fall off the bone; some like them chewy; some like them Southern style. I like them any of those ways in general, but simply cannot warm to these ribs. It might help if they offered an option for baby back ribs, as I simply find this cut of meat to be difficult to deal with.

We have been to this place twice in October. It's real good BBQ, they have their smoker out back, and they have a limited menu, and they only make what they make.

FANTASTIC -- I discovered Chef Noodles on the parking lot in Wixom rd and did the first video of him for one of my websites - Hot Metro Finds.Com. He moved to a fantastic new restaurant location. I popped in today to check it out and let me tell you -- this is the best BBQ Ive had in a long time. The attention to detail is what this place is all about. I had the pulled pork BBQ and it was slow smoked and chopped up and generously served on a big bun with great sauce. The BBQ had a nice bark on it and the flavors of the wood, sauce, and meat came together nice and tight and did not fight one another. They complimented each other and this was great because the flavors were not forced together like in some big chain restaurants. BBQ this good takes time. You can taste the difference because this is quality. The customer service is awesome. These people really care and the guy who waited on me asked me how I liked my fries... crispy or extra crispy... imagine that? The sides are great too man. The baked beans are made with a nice bbq sauce and are baked. The slaw isn't too overly done as it is very light and it compliments the rest of the items. Everything had a harmonious flavor palette. If you are used to the BBQ joints out in Troy, or Novi then do yourself a favor and make the drive. You really cannot compare this food to anything else thats available right now. This place rocks. Its quality and you cannot fake that.

Never had the ribs, but been twice. Got the corned beef once and pulled pork once. Noodles is a dick, long wait time for food and both had a funky taste. When I go out to eat I want it to be better than what I can make at home, not significantly worse!!! Not to mention it was a rip off. Will never go back!

This was so awesome, pulled pork and Barbacue chicken were so good. We just went to Texas recently and have been looking for a good Barbacue place to eat. This is the best around that we have tried!

This place is a hidden gem. Although I'm a little bias, bc I love corned beef and pulled pork- they do both great here. Mac n cheese is also awesome.
