Went to Red Lobster Friday night (3-18) to celebrate my wife's birthday... We got there at 6 and there was an 1 hr 20 minute wait. Well, we decided to wait as RL is her favorite, and ended up getting a table in 50 minutes. Our server, Brian, was prompt, and quick with drinks and bread. Needless to say, at the end, he was probably the best server we ever had. He kept the bread, drinks and whatever we needed, coming quickly. If everything was like him, it would of been a 5 star night. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to it. My wife got the steak and shrimp, ordered the steak medium and he came out like a shingle. Brian let us gnaw on the steak while he had them cook a new one, so we waited for that approx 10 minutes. My MIL had the haddock and it had quite a fishy taste, more than usual, which upset her stomach, so we sent the entire plate back and she ordered something else which was just "ok". My kids chicken tenders and fries came out fine, of course, the easiest to make. LOL I ordered the from the Lobster Fest menu, and got the Bay harbor Lobster and Shrimp Trio. The shrimp were delicious, but the lobster tail was over cooked and rubbery. The Parmesan lobster and shrimp bake was to die for however. Unfortunately, the Broccoli and Potatoes were so overdone, it tasted like they were cooked early in the day and left at the bottom of the warmer... So, outta 5 stars, my dinner got a 3... The bill came to $70 for the 5 of us, which ain't bad, but I was really hoping for more from this Big Box Seafood place. Like I said, Brian was the main bright-spot of the night, and of course, the Cheddar Bay Biscuits never disappoint...

The Crimson Crustacean is the epitome of a chain restaurant. However, they are rather pricey for what you get. The service at this location is excellent, once you are actually seated. The wait at peak times, however, can be rather long. Their salads are fresh, and the menu is varied enough to suit even those who do not like seafood. I've always found the cheddar bay biscuits to be FAR too salty, and that has not changed. I DO mourn the loss of my favorite menu item, which was the seafood fondue. Whenever we drive by, the parking lot is always full. Inside, people appear to be happy and satisfied. They do have a full bar, and some of the signature drinks are quite good. It's a good place for groups, but since they do not take reservations, it may be a long wait for a table.

ok, i have to start this review with a disclaimer "i'm ashamed of myself for enjoying it" so the story begins. my bf and his friend go to red lobster once yearly for "endless shrimp" and they decided to let me and the other girlfriend tag along last night. first of all. red lobsters was way cleaner than i expected. i haven't been in probably 2 years and i was surprised. the waiter was nice and attentive and he did this table bang thing that made us laugh. the biscuits were yummy. really i think they baste them like a turkey with butter and garlic and goodness. i've tried to make them and they are never that good. the shrimp was good. small and not what i would usually pick as a great shrimp, but good. it came in cajun, scampi, coconut, terriaki and breaded. the waiter made up for any shrimp downfalls with his perkiness and totally on the ball refills of shrimp. everytime he brought us one he asked what we wanted next. i managed to eat somewhere around 70 shrimp. i was really freaking full when we left and totally dumbfounded. red lobster i wanted to hate you! what have you done to me? love, juston

The staff took a long time to get to our table, once we were noticed, the server gave us the wrong drinks... We had to ask for simple things that you shouldn't have to, for example, silverware, napkins, bread, menu, and water. I had baked Talapia, it was OK. My boyfriend loves the endless shrimp thing they got going on though!

I always get great service when I go here. The food is really good, and the staff is really on top of things. I highly reccommend the snow crab legs.

Red Lobster's food is always tasty, I've loved it for years. The service is what gets ya, as it did on our first - and last - visit to this location. Forgotten condiment? No worries, it happens. The whole restaurant is out of croutons? Didn't come for the salad, I can live with it. You forgot to put in our appetizer? That sucks, was kinda looking forward to that. I don't think the waitstaff should clean the floor and the table with the same rag....but there it is. The waitress was kind, the food that we did get was good, but this experience wasn't the best.

amazing service!! we came here on a saturday night, about an hour before closing time. our server bryan was the best server we have had in a VERY long time! he was attentive, and showed that he cared about us as guests. he made sure to check in on us and made sure everything was great, the minute we ran out of something he was on top of it. he also made sure my boyfriend cut into his steak to make sure it was cooked the way he wanted. he even made it a point to take the steak back to the kitchen when he noticed it wasn't cooked as instructed. most servers would turn their nose up at the thought of a customer saying their order isn't correct, but he insisted on taking the steak back. that is awesome service, and because of that we will definitely make this our go-to spot when we want red lobster! not to mention; the Caesar salads and biscuits were so fresh! sometimes you can't get a good meal when restaurants are getting ready to close for the day. and if you decide to order an appetizer, go with the lobster artichoke dip, you won't be sorry.

A coworker and I went in for lunch today to partake of the Lobster Festivities! I ordered the Rockport Stuffed Tilapia with green beans and wild rice pilaf. The fish was cooked just right, and the stuffing added a perfect crab flavor. The creamy lobster topping set it apart. The rice was well prepared, and the green beans crunchy and good. Service was great, and I made sure to commend our server, Thomas, to the the manager. He was very knowledgeable on the dishes and made sure we had a great experience. Maybe the only downfall would be the cost, at ~$19.00 for lunch it's a bit much, but we don;t do that often so what the hey!

I have been going to this Red Lobster since I was a small kid. The food is always good and the manager always comes out and give us a friendly smile. I love the biscuits. Heck, I take my kids there just to eat the biscuits and they love to watch the lobsters in the tank. The food is always great. My meal always includes a baked potato, and some sort of shrimp dish. I also adore the chocolate wave cake. It is covered in frosting and chocolate chips. Yummy! I recommend going during non peek hours. This place can get crazy after work hours and on the weekends.

We were kindly greeted as we walked in and had to wait less than 5 mins to get seated. All though it was busy and all, we were understanding about the waiting after being seated. Let's start by saying best service I've had at any red lobster. My waitress (Geri) made my night with her wonderful attitude and perfect service. The food was great as always. Bread baskets came out just after the recent one finished, drinks wouldn't reach to empty before they got refilled, and waitress was so thankful for everything. New favorite location just for great service. Thank you Geri!

We tried the Lobster Fest again (on Valentine's Day) and were very happy with our selection. I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake for the third time in as many years and it was better than the first two. The Lobster Tail was not an overly large serving, but it was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were a good size and delicious. I also enjoyed the mussels and the linguine noodles it all was served on top of. My Wife and my Mom went went their more standard favorites of Crunch Fried Fish and the Crab Alfredo, which were both excellent. This visit put our local Red Lobster over the top. 5 stars and I'll definitely be back. Lobster Fest... Oh Yeah!

This is my favorite red lobster to go to. Every time I go I never walk out feeling like I didn't get enough or was food not cooked correctly. If you do go ask for the waiter Keith. He is an awesome waiter and always makes me and my friends feel welcome.

So, Red Lobster is Red Lobster, you have a pulse so you've been to a RL before and know what to expect. But this location- it's worth the 45 minute Friday-nite wait for the PEOPLE WATCHING alone! How to have a GREAT Friday nite w/out trying: 1. go the Westland RL around 6pm. 2. wait for an opening and sit at the bar and eat. 3. watch the surrounding diners while you eat and a smile will never leave your face. When we went the bartenders were super busy but actually pretty good servers. Besides constantly being harassed by patrons they are nice and they hustle. Go for the food, stay for the show.

They 4stars for the friendly service it was my Bday and my family surprised me with a cake and most of the crew sung to me. My waiter Mike was very attentive to all my group. The food is the food, everyone should know the Red Lobster is the fast food of seafood!

Me and my wife has been working off shift and its really hard for us to get the same day off and once in a while we go get a dinner out together like a little date. We decided to go to this restaurant because she likes seafood. I am on the other hand is a meat guy. So we decided to compromise. I can have a steak and lobster (surf and turf) and she would have a seafood meal. I know something was different from the start is that I like a table always and I always requested a table. But the host give us a half booth half table. Then we said OK. Then we proceeded with our choices and planed out what we are going to have. She ordered hers and I ordered Mine. Surf and Turf, and the waitress said if I would like to change the steak, so I did. I always have my steak Med Rare, I don't like it any other way because it takes the fun out of eating and my jaw hurts from chewing too much, I also ordered calamari for appetizer. Back to the beginning part. This is one of our outings which is rare like once a month. We were seated next to a group of 10 may be more and was so loud that I could not even hear what the waitress was saying, yet the back ground music. I could not even talk to my wife that night that she went to sleep at the bench. while we were waiting for our food. So we started eating the complementary bread cause our ordered was somewhat delayed. Then it started coming after we got the third refill of the complementary bread. We received our soups and then she got her pasta, I was informed then that the cook forgot to cook my order because of some mishap, then when it arrived it was not cook right. I ordered Medium Rare, it came Medium Well. cook all the way to the middle. The waitress and the manager came and stated that they will try to cook another one, waited for another 20 minutes and it came back the same. I also mention to my wife that the lobster was over cook because it was too robbery not soft. I have to cut it with a knife to break it out of the shell. So when they brought the steak back I decided that that it was OK. and not to try another one. I also mentioned to the manager that by the way I also ordered a calamari that never arrived. He ask me if I would like it and I said that alright. The whole night just full of mishap that the manager said it best. This is not how they usually do this. I totally agree with him. I understand that I should not look for and expect a steak in a seafood place but if you can't dish it out why offer it. I give the waitress a tip because its not her fault and she did feel bad. The manager and the waitress really tried to help recover the night, but it was all done which was good effort on their part. I took my wife for a desert at another restaurant since they were kind enough not to let us pay our bill. Thank you for that. I will come back again maybe they will have a better outcome's....

Wow!!! All I have to say for this Red Lobster is "WOWOWOW!" Well, it was our 14th wedding anniversary on Valentines day this year..just last week. We got to Red Lobster a bit later than we had planned and they gave us a "wait time of 45 mins. to an hour". We decided to go home after we'd put our name on the list and put the light on for our Parrot and I had to change my shoes as silly me, or realllllllllllly sill me....had worn my goofiest slippers and never took them off or changed into my nice shoes to go out to eat! I was mortified when we got out of the car and Iooked down at my feet only to see my most comfortable, favorite, warm but really really UGLY slippers on my feet! The worst of it was the black dress pants and beautiful new shirt that I had bought to wear for our Anniversary dinner! LOL... So we used up our 45 minutes and went back and lo' and behold, they called us NEXT! The timing was exactly perfect at 45minutes pronto!! That's not ever happened before, I don't think? That was what started our "anniversary celebration dinner"out on the right foot. The "HOST" was as nice as can be and smiled and said when we came into the restaurant for the 2nd time "You are next on the list to be called !" Next, they took us to a nice area, clean table and we had the most friendly and good natured waitress "Ashley". I always ask for my soda with "light ice" so as not to get all ice and no soda! Besides that it is too watered down with all the extra ice too. She brought it to me just right and I never had to even ask her for a refill as she was right there refilling my soda as I was finishing my last sip, pretty much! I ordered the "King Crab Legs" and my husband got the "Linguini,, crab, shrimp and aspergus pasta". Oh, I almost forgot that we were spoiled in that we got cheesy bread and then got "MORE" cheesy bread! OMGOSH, their cheesy bread is "to die for"!! Mouthwatering and warm with a soft center and gooey with just the right amount of crunch on the outside! Just absolutely delectable! When our food came we were elated and feeling really good about our experience thus far! Ashley brought out the food and both of our meals were nice and hot and mouth-watering! I am disabled and my sweet husband opened my crab legs for me so my hands wouldn't be in as much pain, what a sweetheart I've got! I'm very happy and have been for the past 14 yrs! I was dipping my King cra legs into the butter all melted and yummy. I had to ask for more and Ashley didn't mind one bit. I even asked if I could have "extra french fries instead of salad" and she said "yes, of course, after checking with the boss first. I even had to ask her the difference between the "king crab" and the "snow crab"and she knew just what to say and then told us she was a bit "new" and we would never have known if she hadn't told us ..LOL. We gave her kudos and told her she was doing great! We also asked for the manager to come over to our table. The manager , Bob, Came over to us and gave us a survey number to call or go online because we were so happy, he thought it'd be great to share the good news with others at Red Lobster, I 'm sure. He knelt down at our table and spoke with us for a few minutes at the end of our meal. He told us he was really happy to hear that Ashley was doing so great because it was just about time to give her an extra table and therefore she earned it! We were so happy to help and didnt even know it at first , of course! Well, we went home full and happy..Content that we'd had the best anniversary dinner we could have had. I got online and filled out the survey for that Red Lobster and gave Ashley, the Host, the manager,Bob and the Chef (for the food taste) all "Excellents"!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will definitely go back to that Red Lobster restaurant in Westland, Michigan again. It was the best food and restaurant experience we'd had in such a long time....really!! Talk to you soon, Suzy Q

Red Lobster is usually a decent place to get seafood, and I like to make a lunch trek here every couple of weeks or so, but there were so many issues during our last visit that I will have to stay away for a bit. I'm sure I'll come back, as it was probably just one of those bad days. Let me share my experience. We showed up on a weekend day at 2PM. No wait, which was nice, but it probably took 10-15 minutes to get a drink order in due to a short wait staff. The hostess finally came over and took it for us. Our waitress finally made it over, and food was ordered (Which went well except for being out of trout). Quick side note: At that point we were told they were out of biscuits at the moment, but some would be coming out of the oven very soon. In my experience, about half of the time when you hear that they come out just undercooked. I assume that is because they are pulled early to get them out. That wasn't the case this time, but they did seem to lack butter and were dryer than normal. A second batch later came out the same way, enough that I didn't want to take the leftovers home. The salads were good, except when my young daughter found a hair toward the bottom of hers. She was done eating and full by that point and it did look a bit like her hair so we decided it could have been and let it go. The rest of the food took a long time to come out. It was almost 3PM when it showed. The food was good, until when we were almost done eating my wife discovered a hair under her salmon. She was not pleased at all. We determined that there must have been a hair net malfunction going on in the kitchen, as twice in a meal is a little much. Not wanting to wait another hour to get another salmon, and knowing mistakes happen, she let that go too. At this point we were full and just wanted to leave. As I said before, I'm sure I'll be back in the future when I crave some seafood again. Hopefully it was just a one off fluke and my next visit will get a better rating.

At Red Lobster at least you know what you are going to get. The seafood is decent..but as usual a bit overpriced. If you like fried fish and shrimp and drinks with umbrellas and whipped cream this is your place. Don`t expect much in the way of ambience..just your basic chain.
