Have been here a few times but most recently for a special Founders event. We sat ourselves in the bar area and were quickly greeted by our waitress, Nicole B. It was pretty busy for the Founders event but this didn't deter her from providing us with awesome, personable service. We ordered the Texan burger (meat, bacon, bbq, onion straws, cheese, tomato on garlic Texas toast) and a buffalo chicken wrap with upgraded waffle fries. Both meals were good, nothing to complain about yet nothing to rave about. There was no evidence of buffalo sauce in the chicken wrap but there was some spice which led me to believe that their chicken is just dry rubbed with spice as opposed to sauced up. Overall good tasting food and generous portions - and great place for beers. Nicole informed us that draft beers are only $3 on Tuesdays. They have an expansive list of bottled beers and rotating craft taps. For this event in particular, we were able to score a flight of '13-'14-'15 KBS; had pints of Mosaic Promise & Double Trouble while we waited for our KBS flight to come down in temp.; and also tried the Bolt Cutter.

I was able to get my teen son to have lunch with me and we chose Ashley's . We arrived just after they opened 12 noon! I was surprised how late they opened, but no problem for us. The hostess and waitress were very nice and prompt. Everything on the menu sounded good! Son had a cheeseburger w/ waffle fries and I had the crispy chicken salad and a cup of their chowder. Burger / fries were cooked perfectly and looked good- they got thumbs up from my son- Chowder was very yummmmmmy!!! The salad was very good, lots of mixed flavors BUT I can't stand bagged iceberg lettuce - it has a funky aftertaste and doesn't ever taste fresh- so I picked out as many green non core rib pieces I could and ate the fruit/ chicken. Needed an additional side of dressing- We definitely will go back. - side note- not really conducive to large groups- so I wouldn't do a happy hour with a large group

During college is frequented the Ashleys in Ann Arbor all of the time. I was glad when they opened the one in Westland. This location is larger than Ann Arbor. In fact, it's more of a family friendly place. Large beer selection. The food is good. I also like the surroundings-cool tables with beer logos and beer signs, posters all over the place. Great place for Trivia. One complaint is the service. The service here is real spotty. Some days it's great, others-terrible. The location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Plenty of TVs to watch sports.

Another place with few vegetarian options. Since I don't care for beer, my review is based mostly on the food I've tried. Ashley's serves your typical B&G food; burgers and pizza. I always get a black bean burger (that's pretty much the only option. They're not terribly veggie friendly.), choose my own toppings, and have a side of waffle fries. It's never bad! The atmosphere is nice and their busy nights are definitely busy. I enjoy that they're always buzzing. There are televisions all over for sports games and there's even trivia on some nights. Overall, not a bad place to eat. If you love beer, I definitely recommend you give this place a try. Not that I'm ever particularly listening, but the servers are usually talking about there being new things in tap. There seems to be a good variety from what I've noticed, and I have a few friends that enjoy what they've tried! If you aren't into beer like me, prepare yourself for just another burger/pizza place. The food is alright, and they *do* have waffle fries so there's that. Without the beer, this place really doesn't set itself apart from the rest. It's still pretty fun to come along with your beer loving buddies though, so just give them a try!

Nice interior decorations. It was busy when we went there, so not sure if other nights the service is better. A little slow service by the server, the food was a little pricey, good, yet not outstanding. I'll try them one more time.

I've never ordered anything from here that I haven't liked and this is always our "go to" place for girl's night. The drinks are perfect, their appetizers are awesome (rattlesnake fries always) and the service is great as well. There's trivia on Saturday nights and it's always fun to have some eats and realize you suck at pop culture.

Five stars for the liquor, beer and drink selection. Three stars for the food. I didn't care for the rattlesnake pasta, but the boyfriend had French onion soup and fish and chips which was good. Our friend had a steak and that was decent as well. I liked the atmosphere and wait staff was quick and friendly.

Dropped by after visiting the gun range and was happy we did! Their craft beer was ok but the food was amazing! Wife had the chicken caesar wrap and loved every bit of it. The rattlesnake fries were great too

Bar-wise, this is definitely the classiest joint in Westland. If you love beer, this is definitely the place to be. Massive selection of brews. Awesome drink menu as well. The staff is smart and can always find a drink choice to compliment your food selections. Speaking of food selection, it is a great pub menu. They have everything from Fish and Chips to burgers to pizza and aps. They even have mussels, which comes out smelling ever so nicely. The food selection here is good and everything always tastes great. I love the pizza, but the all star here, have got to be the fries. They are waffle cut and freaking delicious. My favorite, the pesto fries, but that's just me. They have an extensive fries menu and I'm sure they are all good. This is a great place to go to pre-drink before going on a Mall shopping spree 500 feet away. Great place. Westland needed this one. Bonus - In the Summer, they have an awesome patio.

i love ashley's. plenty of beers to choose from, and definitely lots of yummy foods to choose from as well. i have had their fajitas, deep dish and hand tossed pizza, and their burgers. everything is great! my favorite item on the menu is their spinach and artichoke dip. deliciously cheesy and a noticeable amount of artichokes! the best spinach dip you can get at a restaurant. served with their fresh tortilla chips. i usually opt for their big texan burger, which comes loaded with bacon, crispy onion straws, bbq sauce, lettuce & tomato! i usually get waffles fries with it ($1.29 to substitute for fries) and a side of ranch for dipping! i love coming here when i don't really know what i want to eat, because i know i can find something great on the menu.

Most recently we were here for a late night bite. Come to think of it, most of the times we end up here is for a late night bite and brew. It's just that kind of place, game on the TV and junk food in my tummy. The wait staff is always on the ball with drink suggestions and they are very knowledgeable. Just about any kind of beer you want can be found and don't forget the hard cider and mead, one of my personal favorites!

The salmon was uhhhh... not up to par. The bathrooms were filthy and littered with paper towl. Maybe I just came on a bad night but that is no excuse from a customer's point of view. I wanted to get my bill and leave as soon as possible. Maybe I'll try again soon.

Arrived shortly after a noon open on Sunday. Floors still wet from mopping the night before business. Nasty smell from either beer drain lines or the mop and bucket were dirty. Just not sure. Person at host stand more interested in what they were doing than greeting and seating us. Once we were acknowledged she was friendly and inquired as to our needs. We told her we wanted a "table"for 5. She took us to a booth and said "this will be okay?" No we asked for s table with chairs as the booths are rather confining and wouldn't accommodate me or my grandson n his car seat. She delivered water for all and tried to sell beer and appetizers. She said she'd be right back and then returned 15 minutes later. She lost the appetizer order due to her flight but we ordered our meals. When asked about the macaroni and cheese side order she had difficulty describing. Then my daughter flatly asked if it was made fresh or boxed. To which she didn't know. Two drinks were ordered which took over 15 minutes to get to the table. When she arrived with them we were told she was just made aware of a party and she had to set it up. Their servers were present and did fine getting to their tables. That damn party took priority over my family's lunch. The meals were brought out in parts because she didn't want them to die in window but they weren't hot so I was confused. Then my daughter wanted a box for her Cobb Salad (large and inviting) before digging in because sh knew she wouldn't eat the whole thing. A different server returned about 10 minutes later with said box and a pop refill. Once the meals were delivered we never saw from her again until she wanted to deliver the check. Even this took longer than should be allowed to process. We left I'm sure I will be back but under duress as my family over looks these items. I can't as an industry veteran of over 35 years.

Maybe it was unusually busy the night I went. Maybe the staff was just having an off day. But, from the from the time I walked in there was nothing very positive about the experience. We had 6 people and the person up from was rude about telling us they were pretty much full. It was pretty much "we're doing trivia, you're out of luck" (not that exact studying but that's how it came across). I was there for an hour an a half and the server only came by a couple times. She would only quickly ask the people with empty glasses if they wanted another before running off again.

Amazing beer selection! Don't feel shy about asking the bartenders for recommendations; they know their stuff! Great salads, burgers, apps, etc. We love it here!

Best servers! Ashley's food scores in the midrange for bars, but their servers are fantastic. My boyfriend & I started frequenting this place because of location, atmosphere, and price point. But after consecutive visits with awesome waiters & waitresses, we have put service at the top of the list.

Awesome selection of beer! I seem to get the same waitress every time. She's very knowledgeable about the brews and makes good recommendations. The pizza is pretty good and the wings are meaty.

Ashley's has been a favorite of mine since the moment I tried their spinach and artichoke dip three years ago- it's absolutely the best there is! Their pizza and chicken nachos are also to die for. The selection of craft beer is enough to make even the most hip of hipsters scratch their beard in delight. The reason I'm giving only three stars (and that's being generous) is because for the past year or so, service and food quality has taken a huge dive. A friend and I went yesterday for some spinach dip and burgers and waited a good 15 minutes after being seated to be approached by the server. I'm a server myself so I took it with a grain of salt, he seemed cool and maybe a bit stoned (I've lost track of time "taking the trash out" too if you catch my drift). So there we were, excited to finally have our order in and, being in no hurry, still in good spirits. Twenty minutes later, a different server brought our burgers over and asked if we needed anything else. Sadly, I explained we had ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. She apologized and said she'd get it right out. Then, my "medium-well" burger started bleeding all over my waffle fries, it was raw!! After bringing that to the new server's attention (our original server was no where to be seen) she whisked the burgers away and a manager approached. She asked if we could just "start all over" and that the appetizer would be on the house. After all that, we had been there an hour already with nothing to eat yet. Our food eventually came out and all was right in the world. Our original server then made another appearance to give us the check. Food is still good although it used to be better and service has really taken turn for the worse. Don't come here if you're in a hurry!!

This place is great! There are hundreds of beers to try and the beer and whiskey flights they offer let you try as many as you want. The ambiance is great and the staff is very friendly! My friends and I love going here on weekends. They play great music, have trivia nights and always have great specials. The food is also amazing. The menu has a little bit of everything on it. Perfect place for beer and pizza!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR FOOD!!!! Horrible food... 4 of us went here to eat... The only thing that was decent was the grilled cheese (and how can you mess that up?). Philly Cheesesteak was made with cheddar..... dry and disgusting. No flavor... Same with the entrees the other two ordered. The chili was cold, not warm, so that was sent back. We would have sent it all back, but we had already waited 30-45 mins to get seated and would have taken too long to get new orders. (I don't think their other food would have been any better since we had multiple orders like this. I believe this is pretty standard for the place.) Our server was decent, so we didn't screw her on a tip, but do not go here for food.

Great addition to the Westland dining scene! Good bar food and a very large beer selection. Great staff, they are always on top of this and are very friendly.
The Ashley's in Ann Arbor is definitely better quality. The last few times I have been to this location my food was sub par and my service was mediocre at best.

First time at the restaurant after driving by it multiple times. Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait. The staff was pleasant but the food was disappointing. We ordered 1/2 slab of ribs and baked potato and potato skins. The ribs were 4 bones - which is 1/3 a slab not 1/2. Meat was tender but not much of it. The baked potato was very small and came totally bare with nothing on it that was asked. And the potato skins were puny and not flavorful - not worth the price. The service was very slow - did not get a drink refill. Waited about 15 minutes to get the bill. Very disappointed - Will not be back.

I was there last night for a retirement party-40 of us, and the service was fantastic. All the orders were right, and no one had to wait long for food or drinks. The food was great, and great beer & liquor selections. Jared & Tabitha were fantastic, many thanks for a job well done. Next time we have a get together you'll be at the top of our list!!!

The food is pretty good at this location, but the music is way too loud and the server that we had wasn't very friendly or attentive. This might be a better spot to visit during the day, but it was too chaotic to actually have a conversation during dinner on a Saturday evening.

Love Ashley's! The beer selection can not be beat in Westland and when the weather is right, the beer garden is the best! Live music, cornhole, and lots of seating! Food is good as well, but have only tried small plates

I love this place, and am a regular. My family and I go once a month on a Tuesday, which is $3 pint night, and their MICHIGAN DRAFT BEER SELECTION is outstanding. The service has always been excellent, and their pizza is phenomenal. I've tasted much of the menu, and I've never been disappointed. I recommend any of their pizzas, (they make the crust, and it's a 24-hour process) their salads are delicious, fresh and large, and their burgers and sandwiches are great. You can order any of their burgers as a "yardbird" and substitute a grilled chicken breast for the burger patty, and it's always perfectly cooked and flavorful. Lastly, their entrees are also very good; the salmon was perfectly cooked, and the fish and chips is awesome. My suggestion? Check them out! Westland is not necessarily knows as a destination for foodies, so this place is a diamond in the rough. Their original location in Ann Arbor is probably great too, but I've never had to wait in Westland. ;)

I'm not a huge beer fan but Ashey's has something for everybody. I enjoyed the lemon shandy because it doesn't taste to much like beer. I would love to go back and try some others. The food is OK, it's pretty much like bar food. This is a great place to go listen to live music, or just hang out with your friends.

Stopped in here solo for lunch the other day while I was driving between work locations. I sat at the bar. It was empty. I was greeted promptly and proceeded to scour the menu. They seemed to offer several options. Lots of standard pub fare with a few "outlier" offerings. I opted for the club sandwich and a caesar salad. The caesar salad was good, but the croutons had rosemary in them. For some reason I didn't think that this worked well in a caesar. It didn't stop me from eating the whole thing though. The club sandwich was really good. It came on Texas toast and was not triple decker as many club sandwiches come. I thought it was pretty unique in its execution for a club sandwich. It was very very good. A little on the rich side, but I would order it again. It came with a side of fried wavy potato chips that I tried to avoid with all my might, but kept getting sucked back in chip-after-chip. Service was good and friendly. Atmosphere is good. If it weren't the middle of the work day I would have definitely been tipping a few beers back as well. Top-notch beer selection. Probably best within several miles - until you hit the Ann Arbor location.

I had the greatest time here not once, but twice! I came here for their belgian beer fest and mistakenly bought a ticket for the wrong day. I emailed the manager stating my case and he was totally cool with it. I showed up that weekend for the fest and I was greeted with a comp card for the full amount of the ticket sales! Great experience! On note of the actual business, the amount of beers here is astounding. Its like you took a TGI Fridays, and jammed a brewery down its throat. What you have is Ashley's Beer & Grill. I wish they had these in Illinois, I would go all the time.

Hi! I had my 32nd birthday here at Ashley's last night and I've got to say the experience was excellent! Had a group of 35-40 people and they had us in the large party room the fit us all comfortably! A big thanks to Ryan, Erica and Krista for being great servers! You guys rock and we will be back!!!!!

First time we went. Not bad overall. Great beer selection. My wife and I had burgers. They were pretty good. The waitress wasn't the greatest. She was nice but seemed to only come buy a few times. We waited a long time for food, drinks, and our checks. Nice place but it just needs to get a little better and service and time. Not sure if I will go back. This is not a kid friendly place. Very loud so not a place if your looking to have conversations.

My fiance and I would go to Ashley's at least once every two weeks and each time we had a less then stellar experience. Yet we continued to come back. Why? Because their beer selection cannot be beat. They have hands down the BEST beer selection in the area (which has earned them both of their stars, and would earn them 5 if everything else wasn't horrible). The most recent experience has left us with a sour taste in our mouth and in consideration with the rest of our experiences we just no longer care to come here. When a pizza is served to you cold, and you express that to your server and the kitchen just throws the same 2 slices missing pizza back in the oven and cook it for another 20 minutes *at which point it is now burnt* and re-serve it back to you, you have to wonder what the hell is going on. After I told the waitress that reheating our old pizza is unacceptable the kitchen manager did come out and try to make it right, by sending us home with a pizza to enjoy another day. So thanks for 2 cold pizzas. More importantly the menu is lackluster and this place could be so much better if it offered more selections. Then when you throw in the killer combination that we have had maybe 1 or 2 instances where our server has been attentive, nice, and knowledgeable this place easily falls to last place as an option for when we're hungry and looking to go out and enjoy a craft beer.

It's not the flagship store (think Ann Arbor) but this place is bigger, newer and in my opinion, better! So many beers on tap, food that is good enough (and quite diverse) and a really great atmosphere. I don't like their Monte Cristo, but the club sandwich, the pizza, the buffalo wrap, the fried pickles...all amazing!

Thanks Annette for another great Yelp event at Ashley's Restaurant & Pub. Debbie Z. is my "elite" sister and I was her guest and we had a great time. I was the designated driver, so I just had a taste or two of each brew sampled at the event. Ashley's Restaurant did a fantastic job of pairing the beers with the food. Our servers did a wonderful job with our 100% attendance group. We not only tasted the various beers, but we learned the history of each product. It was very interesting and a whole lot of fun. We all started with a Miller Light to get our palates ready. Sitting at the head of our table was Joshua, an elite, who brought a guest who was a beer expert who brews his own beer. Note: Joshua drove all the way from Grand Rapids for this event. First Course was Butternut Squash Bisque paired woth Pilsner Urquell. Our beer expert stated that the Pilsner Urquell was "the best he had ever tasted." Second Course was a crispy Chicken Salad paired with Blue Moon Belgian White. The Blue Moon was unfiltered and cloudy. This beer was first brewed in 1995 at the Sandlot brewery in Denver, Colorado. This is the first brewery ever built in a baseball staduim. There were a lot of "oohs" and "aahs" in the room when this product was tasted. According to the information supplied to us at the event, Blue Moon is a "great brunch beer." The Third Course was the best pairing of the night as far as I'm concerned. The entree was Zesty Orange Buffalo Wings and I can't envision any beer tasting better than Killian's Irish Red with the buffalo wings. It made me wish that Debbie was the designated driver instead of me. This was my favorite. The Fourth Course was probably one of the best pieces of pizza I have ever tasted. Ashley's Supreme Pizza is their most popular pizza with sausage, pepperoni, grilled onions and green peppers, mushrooms, and their homemade tomato sauce topped with mozzarella and grated Romano. Fantastic pizza! Is there any beer that does not taste good with pizza? I don't think so. But, tonight the pizza was paired with Batch 10 Pre-Prohibition Style Lager which was inspired by an authentic pre-Prohibition recipe. The Fifth Course - dessert - was Creme Brulee with grilled pineapple paired with Leinekugel's Big Eddy Imperial IPA which is brewed in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. We drank this from a "special" glass that almost resembled a wine glass. At the end of the event we all received a bag with a set of four beer glasses and a book about beers. One thing in common about all of us Yelp members is that we enjoy life and we live each day to its fullest. Thanks again, Annette for setting up such great events.

Couldn't get a Manhattan, no longer had the Scotch someone else wanted, mussels were miniscule. Server was very apologetic. Beer was good and the fries and quesadilla's were good. But really the whole experience could have been better.

A solid 3 stars. I have never been to this Ashleys (been to the Ann Arbor one a long time ago, we changed the sign outside to say Ass Pube Happy Hour" instead of Ashley's Pub - yes I know very mature). I have always been intrigued by Ashley's and their selection of beers. However, I have always been baffled by the location. Westland? really? Just seems like this place would be way more successful in Plymouth or even Livonia. Anyways, Went for lunch with a new team member. The place was EMPTY. We sat outside, where they had about 10 tables and a fire pit. Although the patio is in the parking lot, it was quiet and the noise from Warren Road I did not notice. They were doing some construction in the parking lot, so I asked the server what was up. She said they are building a beer garden, so that is something I will definitely want to return for! Food was OK. I got my typical... Cobb Salad. It was not served with bleu cheese. Bummer. Made with iceberg lettuce. Chicken had great flavor but in general it was meh. Avocado ranch dressing was recommended, but not great. I preferred the vinegarette. Coworker got a club sandwich which looked like the bread was delicious and buttery. Came with potato chips, which were under salted for my taste. Service was fine - I would have been mad if it wasn't since the place was so empty! I will be interested in returning when the beer garden opens!

Was not thrilled with the first couple of trips to Ashley's after changing from Pizza Uno. They have really stepped up their game and it has become a weekly stop and sometimes its twice a week. We always sit at the bar the staff is very friendly and on their game. The food good and its a good value. Pizza is my favorite.

This is a solid place to go to. We decided to try it out on a Saturday after driving around in the area. Its really easy to get in and out of. It was for an early dinner. We ended up in the bar area where most of the tables were empty. The tvs were rather small and hard to see, so if you are going to try to watch anything I wouldn't recommend it. The veer selection is nice and gives you many different options, mostly local. We decided to split a hand toss pizza. I would say the pizza was better than average and definitely worth the price. Everything was cooked well. The atmosphere was nice, however (and maybe this was just the crowd that day) it was a little hipstery. Not exactly my crowd, but I won't hold it against the place. Overall as I said its a solid place to go, with a good beer selection and good food options.

We were looking for a Burger the other day and Ashley's came to mind and we gave it a try. We've been there before with coupons, but we felt like a burger and fries today. They offer several designated burgers or a design your own with about three toppings included. I tried the Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was delicious. The mushrooms and Swiss cheese really complimented each other. The wife had the Texan Burger with BBQ sauce, bacon and served on Texas toast. Ashley's is a nice place we had good service and a good meal. 3 stars and I'll be back...

The Goods: Best craft beer selection on the west side. Waitstaff generally does a good job and is at least somewhat knowledgeable about beer. Great new beer garden area for the warmer months. Frequently have special beer events (tap takeovers and "brewery tournaments"). Bathrooms are well kept. Mug club. Food is generally good. AYCE fish n chips on Fridays, which is very good. Their deep dish pizza is ALMOST a Chicago style. Not exactly, but still very good. Much more affordable than a Pizza Papalis true Chicago style. Sampler flights. Dollar draft pints on Sundays! The Bads: You can't pick what beers you would like in the sampler flight, Waitstaff could know a little more about beer, but that's really no big deal. The Verdict:This is easily the best beer bar on the west side of Detroit. If you are a craft beer drinker in the area, definitely check out Ashley's!

This place has a great selection of draft beer as well as knowledgeable bartenders that can guide you to what you might like. Andy is a very attentive bartender that always made sure my drink was full. Haven't had the pleasure of trying their food yet, but looking forward to it. The manager, Laura, is also very friendly and smiley. It's nice to find employees who seem to really love their job. =)

Found myself and a couple friends at this establishment on a Thursday evening for a burger and a beer. For a place with such a huge selection of beer, they sure seem to have trouble stocking domestic. Bud light? Nope. Budweiser? Only 2 bottles left in house, none on tap. After being seated in a cubby hole like corner booth we received some very condescending and snarky service. Probably because we did not order a "craft beer." While I do admit the burger was pretty good, at 12$ it had better be. If you're hoping for a regular beer and a burger this is not the place to go. That is of course unless you like being treated poorly with bad service and over priced food. If you order a craft beer the servers seem to have a very different tone. Will not be going back.

I really like this bar/ restaurant. Their pub pizzas are delicious. The beer selection is top notch, but kind of expensive. A 22 oz draft goes for about 5 - 6 bucks ,

We're digging Ashley's lately. I think of it as the red-headed stepcousin of 'too big for her britches' Aubree's (Haggerty, just south of 8 Mile). Regular coupons in the mail circular help us remember that hey, Ashley's has that beer cheese dip! So, now you know what we have to get when we go. You can get this warm cheese dip two ways, either with tortilla chips or with waffle fries. We prefer the fries, but it makes for a pretty lead belly app if you plan to eat real food too. We usually try the beer flights, which regularly rotate to include different local, US and international beers, and we're also usually disappointed because they contain too many beers that have hints of fruit, chocolate or coffee. These end up being 'my' beers to drink - joy. As for food, we've tried the Pulled Pork Sliders (the menu says 'try with out NC pickin' sauce, which I asked for, only to receive regular old Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. When I said something our waitress said 'oh we haven't had that sauce for at least a year'. Uhm, nice to tell me after... I... ordered... it... from you!), The Buffalo Chicken Wrap (ok), and the pizza (also ok).

So many beers!! I wished there was a menu to better help me make my beer decisions on my recent trip to Ashley's. They have a huge list and no descriptors to help you choose... I relied on the bartender and server, but sort of felt like a PITA asking a billion questions. I have things I like and things I don't like in beers, and I like trying new beers rather than sticking with the same old things. They were kind enough to give me a couple tastes to see if I'd like some I was questioning. Lucky for this because some of them were not! My table ordered quite a bit of food and we were all pleased. We didn't have anything over-the-top outstanding, but I would go back to explore the menu further. Their wings were okay, and the same for the appetizer sampler (we thought the potato skins were really bland, despite all the bacon and cheese!) The pulled pork sandwich was the winner of the day in my book. I suggest taking the pickle spear and coleslaw from the side of the plate and adding them right into your pork sandwich. The bbq sauce is really good and goes great with the crunch of the 'slaw and pickle. And since I was craving onion rings, I had those instead of kettle chips... They definitely have the onion ring mastered. Nice batter and fried perfectly. The server was good, not great, but certainly not terrible. He did his best to answer my beer questions and managed to get the whole table's order correct! I hope Ashley's manages to stay around as it does have a fabulous beer list... even if it is hard to navigate on your own. Maybe next time I visit Mich, it will be warm and I can enjoy that patio!

Tenth and Blake Elite Beer Dinner: Summer Edition! Never went to a Beer Tasting event before, but I will tell you this one was so wonderful. Met some great YELPERS! Upon entering as me and my wonderful sister sat down we were given a Miller Lite - never had one before and I really liked it. This was just to get our beer taste buds going, I guess! The first course was some Butternut Squash soup paired with a Pilsner. Oh my goodness, the soup was so delectable, and then tasting the beer with it - my mouth was dancing like I was in Dirty Dancing! Our host informed us of the history of the Pilsner Urquell, to get everyone's attention he would clink his glass like he was making music and then all of a sudden the room quieted down so he had the floor. Very eloquent - cheers! The second course was a salad with crispy chicken strips, dried cherries, bacon, cheddar tossed with a honey mustard dress. How can anyone go wrong with this type of salad. Ohhhh - very delicious. This was paired with Blue Moon Belgian White - yum, the only thing I was missing was the orange. This beer is fairly newer and a bit cloudy, but yummy! Prost! Third course was orange buffalo wings paired with Killian's Irish Red. I think that this pairing was the best of all!!!! It was like fireworks going off in your mouth!!! this particular beer was a family recipe of the Killian family brought over from Ireland. I enjoyed this pairing very very much. The fourth course was a piece of the supreme pizza paired with Batch 19. Didn't particularly care for this beer - I thought it was more intended for truck drivers, rather than a lady! (If I can call myself that!) This beer was a bit harsh for my tasting, but the pizza was delicious! Final course was a Creme Brulee - yummy, which was paired with a Big Edy Imperial IPA. Unfortunately by this time I don't remember very much about this beer!!!! But I'm sure it was tasty. Luckily my sister was the designated driver so I could partake in all the beer tasting. Thank you Annette, Ashley's, and Tenth and Blake for putting this event together. Had another great Elite Yelp event!

My companion and I met one of her friends here on a Sunday a couple weeks ago so that they could catch up and I could go and eat lunch and watch the Lions game. The location was slow at 1PM on a Sunday, but then again, maybe it's just a sign of the times. The atmosphere was very clean and the service was good. My server even brought a few samples of some craft beers that were on the beer list so I just had one full pint and samples. As for the food, everything here was spot on. I actually had the Monte Cristo type sandwich because I hadn't had it in years since Bennigan's closed, and this was a decent replica. Not exactly deep-fried fully-battered goodness like the 2000 calorie Monte Cristo at Bennigans is, but it had the requisite cripsness, quality deli meats inside, and fruit preserves to dip. The fries were meh, and my companion's chicken tenders were dry and most likely just everyday frozen tenders from a bag. For a bar, this place fits quite nicely- the food could be a little less mass-produced, and i haven't tried the pizza. But their beer selection cannot be beat and I'm sure that perhaps night time, this is a more happening place to be. Also, we do get coupons in the mail so that's a bonus.

I went here with my grandma after a long day of shopping! Out waitress was great letting us try an assortment of beers before making our choice on one! Also, their Monte Carlo sandwich is to die for! If you in the mood for good bar food, hit this place up!

Selection of beer cannot be beat... The cheese tray is a total joke for 8.99, Stay away... Burgers are good - no complaints. Creme brulee was poor --- very runny. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Beer prices are overpriced. Won't visit again.

Love Ashley's!!! The enormous drink selection is just stellar. And the trivia nights are an added bonus. The pizza is awesome - everything is cooked to perfection. The burgers also deliver on taste. It can get busy - but the staff is always friendly. One of our favorite spots to chill and eat.

The Westland location is convenient and easy to get in to and out of. The wait staff is personable and upbeat. I went for the Maurice salad. The presentation was nice but if you are a die-hard Maurice salad fan, I would suggest you go back to the original at Macy's. 12-Oaks far exceeds the Westland Macy's. The Maurice salad was good but there was a spicy mustard that detracted from the authentic version and not enough sweet pickle. I suppose if you have enough wine or beer, you might not notice the difference. I was expecting near perfection, but otherwise a decent salad. I will go back and try the pizza next time. 3.5 stars overall.

Eight of us went to Ashley's on Saturday for dinner. First problem occurred when one of the guys ordered a Manhattan and was told that there was no Vermouth in house. After being told that, he went with water. Second problem, another guy wanted a non alcoholic beer and was told that they had none. A little while later the server came back and told the fellow that they had one N/A beer. My friend asked the price and was told a bottle cost $5.50. That's gouging, and this man also ordered water. Things went well for the others in the group. Food orders varied from sandwiches, to soups and salads, to pizza, and everything was fine. The server also did a good job for us. It was Ashley's that let us down, I mean it's a bar, and a big bar at that.

A beer lovers paradise. Ah, the multi-tap or "taphouse" drinking establishments are in such short supply. I was very pleased to discover this one during my travels to the greater Motor City area. There truly was a very large variety of domestic micro-brews and hard to come by European imported brews. The food menu was very well matched to the variety and quality of the beer selection. Offerings included gourmet pubfare snacks (nachos, wings, fries, etc), burgers and sandwiches, pub pizzas, and more. Overall, I found the quality of these food items to be far superior to the typical fare found in any ol' average pub. Despite the restaurant being busy (even on a Wednesday night, when we were there), the service was prompt, friendly and on point. Beer from the bar arrived quickly to our table, as did the food items from the kitchen. The overall ambiance of this place was what you would expect for a multi-tap: loud, busy, and bustling. I definitely would recommend this place for friendly gatherings with buddies, coworkers, or others needing to unwind a bit. I wouldn't advise bringing children in during the evening. So, come on by Ashley's with a few of your buddies, talk about whatever, and partake of the quality pubfare and brews this place has to offer... no doubt you'll be back!

My favorite local beer bar. Food is good too - especially the pizza and the mac & cheese. A lot of great servers too!

Good burgers but 45 minutes between ordering and actually receiving food on a Thursday night at 9pm is too long of a wait.

The food here is always great! I always order either a chicken Caesar wrap or a turkey Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. I'm never disappointed as the temperature and consistency of the food is always spot on. The atmosphere is one of a sports bar with plenty of tv's and trivia games some nights. The only reason I'm marking off one star is because the service is a little slow.

Just had their Black and Blue Salad was amazing! Was trying to find something that wasn't too heavy to eat but guess I did it anyways but have no regret was awesome! Had a cute blonde waitress made it even better!

For the most part, I love Ashley's! Great pizza, great beer selection (though I'm not a beer drinker) and various martinis and specialty mixed drinks, and other oh so yummy items. The atmosphere is cozy. They have Great Lakes Trivia on Tues/Sat nights, so it does get packed then, but it's a lot of fun to participate in. Service - for the most part it's stellar. As of late, a few of the newer servers have been not so great. The vast majority of the staff are amazing and have great recommendations for drinks and food, but a couple just plain old disappear forever while you're sitting there with empty glasses or waiting for your bill (yesterday, we sat for about 15 min with empty glasses AND waiting for the bill). That's only happened to us a couple times, and we are very much regulars :)

On May 2, 2014 I visited the Westland Ashley's and saw that one of the women's stalls was out of the toilet paper I informed the male bartender of the matter on the hand and assuming he had knowledge that there is only 2 bathroom stalls in the women's restroom it should have caused some urgency in his actions. Rather when I told him of issue I noted how dismissive the "thank you" was conveyed and observed for a little about 10 minutes to see if he would communicate the issue with any fellow female co-workers. Rather he had the audacity to CONTINUE DRINKING a liquor beverage while conversing clients sitting at the bar. Lack of professional atmosphere Ashley's. Does company encourage drinking and if so does his behavior reflect the kind of behavior you want to promote amongst employees?

Nice service- gave us samples and was informative on the beers offered, manager came over in the middle of our order and started yelling at our server- telling him he needed to clean off other tables while he was taking our order- thought it was really unprofessional and inappropriate- we have been to this bar several times and it never gets any better- never again

I actually enjoyed myself -- met up with a couple of friends and I had an AWESOME time. SUNDAY's -- $3.00 Long-island Ice tea (Strong too!) The food was good and if you are a beer fan, then this would a great place to have a variety of selection of beers. Someone actually order this drink beer which was served in this extra tall mug -- it's was a challenge but before we left the person down it. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly!!!

We've been here a couple times. We were first amused to notice that the decor has not changed from the last restaurant that was here (was it Pizzeria Uno?). There's nothing wrong with it, it was just funny to walk in and potentially not be sure where you might be! The food is good, and the service is acceptable. One of my favorite points was that they quickly brought extra napkins and water for the baby. I'm sure we'll be back, even with no mention of the beer menu. Oddly enough, I don't like beer much, but I'm pretty inclined to like restaurants with lots of it available. Huh.

One of my faves for great craft beer. Always the best selection in the area. My favorite brewery,The Hideout had 8 beers on tap this past weekend. We also had a really good pizza pie with feta, pep, and tomatoes.

First, let's be honest, not many people come here for the food and if they do I would question their taste. The menu is decent although could use an overhaul. Lots of heavy (melted cheese, grilled bread, burgers etc) and not much light or original. Think midwest diner. The service is average though often, like so many restaurants these days, slow due to obvious under-staffing. So why 4 stars? A fantastic selection of craft brews. The beer culture there is outstanding. The enthusiasm for the pours is wonderful and the sheer number of truly unique beers is nearly unmatched. Frankly, if they just turned themselves into a tap room with a much simpler and limited menu the place would be every bit as good.

I have heard from my fellow Beer Snobs (yes it is a thing - check it on meetup.com ) about their beer throw downs. However, I was deterred from going out there by distance to get there. I finally sacked up and made the trip to Westland. I went for a Right Brain tap takeover and I was glad that I did. I knew the beer would be awesome, but getting free swag from the promoter was a definite bonus. They have a phenomenal selection of beers on tap, but their food is nothing special. They were doing some sort of lobster special - it was a decent price, but you get what you paid for. I also got some guac, which was more cream than avocado and was pre-packaged. The location by the mall is also off-putting. If you are in the area, check it out - otherwise, there is probably something with as much beer selection closer to home.

Been here twice , and wish I could bring myself to go more ! The food is good and beer selection is one of the best around , but the service is horrible !! Waited almost 15 minutes before someone even noticed us , once we were noticed our drinks took forever , and our order wasn't taken for another 20 minutes . It took almost an hour just to get food ordered ! Other experience was similar with a different server. Not sure if we were just unlucky with the servers we got or if their procedures keep them from doing anything quickly . May try again soon but 3 strikes and you're out .

Used to be one of the best places around town to eat. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and the beer selection is great, BUT the service has gotten bad (have waited any where from 1-2 hours after being seated to get any service at all) and even worse, the portions of food have gotten tinier and tinier while the prices stay the same ($5 for less than a cup of soup, ridiculous!). It's paying way too much to wait forever for food and to leave hungry. I hope things start getting better soon! I miss going there regularly! Especially since my beer passport hasn't had an update in a while.

If you are at all into beer, Ashley's is the place for you. They have varieties from around the globe and something like 60 on tap. This is not a big deal for me but I know there are some serious beer fans out there so I will highlight it at any rate. Ashley's is a very nice looking place. A former Uno Chicago Grill, they have replaced all things Chicago with Detroit/Ann Arbor/Beer theme. The restaurant is big yet cozy. The staff is hit or miss, we had a great waitress on one visit but the waiter we had on the other was horrible. The food is good, some better than others. The French Onion soup is incredible and you can get it with no upcharge with an entree. The Bay Chowder is quite good too. The Chicken Noodle just eh. The side salads are boring but are all you can eat, if that is your thing. The entrees also come with all you can eat breadsticks, which are light and puffy with a bit of buttery crunch. If you cannot decide between soup and salad then get both for a mere dollar more yay! The burgers in here are good, not great. The Monster Burger comes with two kinds of cheese, bacon, sauteed peppers, onions and mushrooms. I liked the bun but the burger itself was missing something in my opinion, I think perhaps it was the fact the patty was a preformed half pounder. All burgers and sandwiches come with all you can eat fries which are coated in a light batter and quite delicious. The pizzas are awesome. The Motor City Classic is an all meat affair with chunks of meat and tomatoes wrapped in a ton of cheese. The deep dish variety is definitely the way to go. The BBQ Chicken had a tangy sauce and really tasty chicken, I really liked it a lot. You can create your own combo from a variety of toppings and be quite happy as the crust is just freaking good. The Fish and Chips are coated in a Sam Adams batter and are meaty with a light crispness to them. Absolutely delicious! I had a Bronzed Tilapia that was nice, as is the Grilled BBQ Salmon. The Rattlesnake Pasta was misleading as it was none too spicy but still tasty. All were more than generous helpings. This is a good middle of the road place. I would stick with the Fish and Chips, soups and Pizzas though. They were the definite stars of the show. Join the FOTO club, friends of the owner and get a free pizza every year for your birthday!

Love, love, love the beer selection. The food however, is straight up deep fried, creamy and heavy! Ashley's, your service, atmosphere and beer is awesome. Why can't you offer healthier menu items? Must the majority of your offerings be covered in butter or deep fried? I know I'm supposed to come here for the beer, but if you want more bu$ine$$, please consider offering fresher and heart happy choices. PUH-LEASE? Also, thank you for allowing us to be able to download music on your jukebox! I love that the music can go from Bieber to Slayer then to Fountains of Wayne. It's like i'm dating a DJ with multiple personality disorder when I'm here. ***This is meant totally in a good way. Thank you also for having patio seating. Summer time at Ashley's on the patio with friends = lots of beer consumed + good times.

They had decent, if slightly over-topped, pizza. They had a modest but good wine-by-the-glass selection. They DID have beer. Lots of good beer to choose from. That was really the highlight.

I have only eaten here a couple times, and it's been perfectly acceptable both times. The burgers are decent, the desserts are really good... So far my favorite thing here: waffle fries with melted bleu cheese. Simple and anybody could do it, sure, but THEY did it. And it was GOOD. The food is quite a bit different compared to Ashley's in Ann Arbor (in a good way), but Westland-Ashley's focus on providing an exceptional beer selection stays true to the original. That's really the reason to come here. There is absolutely no shortage of great choices to please some of the bigger beer snobs, and they have some interesting alternatives for people who tend to drink domestic lights. Not that I'd recommend you do that here. Prices are a little high (starting around $4 for a pint and going way up from there), but you're buying a pretty amazing selection... Think of it this way: it's like a global pub crawl, and it'll only cost you $50.

I'm giving them a 5 star because of their attempt to bring culture to my low-rent district of Westkand, Mi. This 5 star is relative, not absolute. Ashly's earns my highest approbation for four reasons: 1. Great tap beer selection, and promotion of craft beer culture. 2. Attempting to do the same for whisky (but the local market appears to have said, no thanks, to its own shame). 3. It recently opened a fine attempt at a Biergarten. 4. It is doing all this in my home city of Westland, known as "wasteland", a "white trash" suburb of Detroit. The facility used to be a Chicago UNOs, which bellied-up, located in the giant parking lot of sad sap Westland Mall. It contains two bars: one a designated bar area, with a large U-shaped bar and hightop table seating, plus a long straight bar in the restaurant area. The straight bar is usually unattended, but houses many of the beer taps and rate scotches. The tap beer selection is excellent, and the barkeeps knows its beer. As for cocktails, they have the usual crappy commercial artificial mixers, but an exceptionally awesome scotch selection (in the "other" bar). On the food side, I'm not convinced that they are much more than another outlet for pre-made Cisco and GFS items selected by management out of a catalog. They seem to take their pizzas somewhat seriously. But the thin crust is soggy and over-cheesed, whereas the deep dish is good enough, though not quite artisan-quality. It is at least crispy all the way down to the middle. To be fair, I am a super food snob, and the friends I've taken here all love the good. They are even fine with the thin crust pizza. So unless you are an insufferable food nerd, expect to like the food. It always bothers me when the local, independent guy wants my business, but he serves so many GloboCorp food products, like Heinz ketchup and Coke. Would be move of they took their food and cocktails as seriously as their beer. The bar has tons of TVs, which can be good, except when they are trying to get a return on that repulsive pay-per-view cage kickboxing with the barefoot guys that has become popular, apparently, with the lower rungs of society.

Ashley's is pretty alright. I've been several times for trivia, and once or twice just for food/beers. The beer selection is AWESOME, one of the best in the state. Unfortunately, the servers tend to be not nearly as knowledgeable about beer as they should be to work in such a beer-centric establishment. Service in general is hit or miss--i've had exemplary service, and i've had terrible service. Food is regular bar food, but you can sub a veggie burger for any of their burgers, which is always nice. Don't even bother with the dessert, though. It all just tastes recently-thawed, dry, and bland (and runny, in the case of the creme brulee). Crowd tends toward bros and the dad-of bro (and overly tanned stepmom-of-bro), and that's fine, except when you're trying to hear the trivia MC and there's some jackass behind you yelling out quotes from Old School. Pleasant decor, ample seating, clean bathrooms.

Can't even review the food here, because I didn't have any. Was in the area and asked my cousins to take me to a place that had a good quality beer variety. It's sorta my thing. They didn't disappoint with this place. Pair of bar areas, lots of on tap variety, and an impressive bottled variety available. Serving some of the highest rated US IPA's on tap at the same spot was a nice find for myself. You Michigan residents don't know how lucky you are to have Bell and Founder drinks aplenty around here. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and were extremely friendly on the whole. The entire vibe of this place was a little slow (admittedly it was a Sunday late night) but still upbeat and friendly. Variety of patrons made the place welcoming, and no real bad elements involved. As said at the start, didn't eat any food, just had beer. Given from what I gleaned from the staff and from other reviews here I'd wager the highlight is the beer and the food is a good side-note, at best. It's called the pub/restaurant, but really I'd call it an over sized pub with a good food selection (as a compliment). Prices were decent as well, after 6 beers and a few tasters I'd still only racked up a $25 tab. For what I was getting I call that a good price, hell the casinos charged that much for as many Miller Lights. Really, if you want a great drink in the area this is your stop. If you want a top-notch meal and just a glass to water it down, might want to head elsewhere. Since I'm part of the former group this place hit the spot for me. Needless to say that whenever I'm up here visiting family, I'll make this a stop-off.

I went here about a month or 2 ago and have been upset I haven't been about to get back. Loads and loads of microbrews, which is the biggest reason to come here. I got the 6 beer sampler and had beer ranging from a barleywine to a chips and salsa flavored beer. The waitress was very helpful in choosing different beers in regards to personal preferences, although she was a bit lippy when we first arrived and my friend asked for a rolling rock. The seating was ample here and service was pretty prompt. I got a cheesesteak or something along those lines and it was definitely a good choice. Fries here are delicious. It's a wee bit pricey but worth a trip if you're in westland. A secret tip that I'm wary of giving out: go here for UFC ppvs instead of bdubbs, there's not much of a wait and the TV sets are ample.

I went back a on a Friday night with some friends about a month ago. First time visiting since they added the second bar and I have to say the selection is about as impressive as the Ann Arbor location, which is saying a lot. Service was probably the best I gotten. Had quite a few between two people and my bill was only about $35 including tip. Definitely the most pleasant experience I've had here. It's going to be hard choosing between Ashley's and Liberty Street when I'm in the area now. Skipped the food but I always keep saying I'm going to order the Stilton Fries next time I'm in.

We truly enjoyed Ashley's. The food was pretty tasty, and Ashley, our waitress, (the name is just coincidental) was outstanding. She was intuitive, and really genuine. Their burgers are quite good. I chose to build my own. Cool option in my opinion. The place has a nice atmosphere. Not gimmicky like Applebees, or any of the like. Great beer selection as well.

Ashley's is a pub. I always like to establish genre prior to a review, as that makes a world of difference to me. So, think pub fare: burgers, nachos, pizzas, and so forth. Now think BEER: lots and lots and lots of great beer! I know a previous reviewer was bummed that the Belgian fest interfered with ordering a fave; but that's precisely why I need to compliment Ashley's: they try to offer a different beer experience. Finding craft beer can be a challenge in Westland (the location is within the mall's lot, bringing back a flood of childhood memories of Hudson's and a statue of a goose on which I'd play, long before there were play pens at malls). With 60 beers on tap, you can find all sorts of variety unavailable elsewhere. I know Westland is pretty working class, but that's what I love about it, and working class doesn't need to mean tasteless. Myself, I'm not the biggest fan of Belgians, though I must applaud the whole concept, from bringing in a European family brewer for a meal, to the Belgian food they added to the menu to complete the experience. (Only advice: for the next theme-week, do away with the confusing ticket system.)

3.5 The beer made me put the half star on there. I usually don't enjoy going out to eat in this area. Not a lot to choose from, from my point of view but this was a great find! Ashely's first store was in Ann Arbor and they are bringing some of that to Westland. How cool is that?! An amazing amount of beer! I honestly dreaded coming here. I thought a another pub.. yuck! Thoughts of dim lights and greasy food resided in my mind... First off the waitress blew us AWAY with how much knowledge she had about the bazillion beers they had there! She was so efficient I had to remind myself where we were. heh. OK so they have pub fare, nachos, burgers etc.. but then a Caprese sandwich? Waht?! OK so not all of it is pub fare and I was happy with my salad. There was team (your table is the team) trivia that night. What is really great is that it is not electronic so you don't anonymously sit at some table and ninja in your answers. Each table is a team, no phone googling allowed as they say, and you write the answer out and someone has to go hand it in. At first everyone at the table groaned at the thought of a cheesy trivia game but everyone's competitive nature got the best of them and we all started talking out the possible answers. We didn't win but we had fun. I even had a beer, of which I hardly ever do but who can say no to Hacker Pschorr Weisse on tap?! I was tempted to have some Chimay Ale but I feared my husband couldn't take the fact that I actual drank one beer and enjoyed it. hehe. Easily the best restaurant in that immediate area. A very pleasant surprise.

we moved to the wayne westland area about 2 years ago and gave this Ashley's a shot at the time. The beer selection was poor compared to the Ann Arbor location, and the food was terrible, many of my favorites from Ann Arbor just weren't availible. Until last weekend we hadn't gone back for these reasons. A friend of ours was visiting and wanted to give it a shot. They've gotten much better with the beer selection, they have more rotating taps with interesting beers. On top of that they've completely redone the menu, and I also imagine have some new cooks. Everyone I was with thought their food was amazing, I had a monte cristo and it was delicious. The atmosphere and layout are still kinda weird, but it didn't really take anything away from our dinner.

The bartender did a great job making drinks, not too weak or too strong, just right. I recommend trying the margaritas, on monday nights they are the "drink special" and only $3 worth very penny. Didn't have any food but the people around us seemed to enjoy their entrees and appetizers. Plenty of parking, Very hospitable staff, nice open set up and plenty of seating. Definitely somewhere to go to again!

A farce. While the beer list was lengthy and varied, the food was terrible, the staff clueless, and the decor odd. While the beer list was extensive, the server couldn't tell us anything about any of them, not even the specials. They are the specials! Our server didn't seem new or busy or anything else that might excuse her cluelessness or slowness. She just took forever and didn't know anything. Despite the long list of beers, both local and international, they didn't have a single hard cider. No Strongbow, no Woodchuck, nothing. Ridiculous. The food was, as mentioned, terrible. My wife's salad was supposed to have a porter vinaigrette, which you'd assume was a porter reduced to a syrup and made into a nice vinaigrette. Instead it was like someone threw a half-cup of porter from the tap onto her salad. Weird and gross. My philly cheesesteak was decent but not good. I will say that the onion rings were pretty tasty, though. I had a couple bottled beers, they were fine, though I would have had more if the service had been on its toes. With such an extensive menu, it'd have been nice to try a couple more things. But they let me sit with an empty glass, twice, for far too long. I guess they hate money or ran out of decent servers. The decor, which doesn't matter a ton to me in either a bar or restaurant, is still worth mentioning, I guess. This place is an odd jumble of sports bar, brewpub, and one of those chain restaurants with crap on the wall. It wasn't particularly welcoming but if the food and service had been good, it wouldn't have turned me off the place either. Still, there must be somewhere better nearby.

I usually don't venture out to these areas but the wife and I were couch shopping and got hungry. Since it was new (to us at least) we decided to give it a try. Was excited to see their beer menu, but since it was only high noon and didn't want to shop while I am buzz.... lol very dangerous. They are about to revamp the beer menu, so please check back since their selection seems pretty extensive. As you walk in, you do feel a scene of a bar/chain restaurant style setting. At least I was very suspicious of how low of a traffic of customer it was, since it was lunch time on a weekend. But regardless we went ahead and order. The food came prep very good and the waiters were very friendly and fast on the orders. Tasted alot better then I expected. In conclusion, it is a very pleasant place to have a group of people to eat and enjoy each others company.

Visited this place with about 30 co-workers. The waitress messes up a lot of orders and was simply unapologetic about it. She brought one coworkers her meal in a carry out box, and when she was informed that the order was not to go. She replied "well that's how they made some of the orders." Orders were missing and what made it worse was our boss had paid, tipped and left once everyone placed their orders. I just didn't enjoy this place. The bartender made good patron margaritas, the only perk.

I hosted a get-together here for about 13 people on Wednesday July 8. I just have to give Ashley's MAJOR props and thanks for being so helpful and nice as soon as I walked in the door. I got there early because I wasn't sure exactly how many girls were coming (only an estimate) and the hostess had someone get our table ready. We had called ahead of time to ask about separate billing and Ashley's had NO problem with this. They actually split up each girl's bill so none of us had to deal with figuring out what each person owed. I know this is a pain for restaurants but they did it WITH A SMILE and acted as though it were absolutely no problem at all. Having been a server myself, I know large parties and separate checks were kind of/sort of a pain BUT not THAT traumatic. So, I appreciate that they were so cool about it. Food was OK. I am not a big beer drinker (I drink *light* beers and don't get too fancy) but some of the girls were. So, I can't really rate the beer selection when I don't know what I am looking at. Mainly it was the service that impressed me here. I think it's really sort of sad these days that people are so appreciative and relieved to get really good service. Bad service is ALL too common any more. Thanks Ashley's!!! We will be back if you promise the same good service and are always so happy to see your customers!! :-)

I love the beer selections! Not that they are just a multi-tap with many beers to choose from, but they carry the "best of the best" in micro-brews (Michigan & national). Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I'll give a shout-out to Holly, Laura (mgr) & Nicole. Food - well it could be better. Some things are good (burgers but over-priced; pizza with real mozzarella cheese - get the original round and not the deep dish; Philly cheese steak; artichoke dip). I had the steak special one night and that was very good for a bar. Not good were the deep fried items & ribs. Worth a try especially if you enjoy a "Cheers" sort of atmosphere.

I won't be going back to Ashleys Westland. Ever. Tried to order 3 different beers. All out of stock. Potatoes-yep, out of stock. When I finally found a dinner (rattlesnake pasta), it tasted just like a re-warmed Healthy Choice frozen meal. It's freezing in there, and the music is so loud you can't even order. Save your time and $$ and go another 2 miles to Red Robin.

Ashley's orginally started in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I have been to that location a few times. When I recently visited the new Westland location for a couple beers with friends, I did not realize the two bars were connected. The website has info about both locations. The Westland Ashley's is located off of Wayne Rd in the parking lot of Westland Mall, making it easy to find. The restaurant menu offers burgers, sandwiches and other typical pub grub. The bar menu offers over 100 selections of beers from around the world, including ales, lagers, pilsners and fruity beers. In addition to import beers, the bar stocks Michigan-made micro-brews and lesser-known beers from around the country. Ashley's is a great place to discover beers from another part of the world without leaving the Metro Detroit area. Ashley's customers are given a small passbook, which folds up to the size of a credit card for convenient wallet storage. The booklet lists each of the beers, and your server will officially mark off each beer that you have tried. When you have tried x amount of beers you qualify for a prize such as discounts on food or freebies like coffee mugs. Ashley's also allows customers to keep their beer bottles as a momento, if collecting beer bottles from around the world is a hobby of yours. Having only tried a couple of the German beers, I can't comment yet on the food. From what I saw, it looked pretty good. I'd like to go back sometime to eat and of course, drink more international beers. I found the service to be fairly attentive, and our server was very friendly even giving my friend a wet willie, which we all found a bit odd but he didn't seem all that bothered by an attractive woman sticking her spitty finger into his ear. Overall, this place is worth checking out, at least for a drink you might not find anywhere else.

This place was terrible! Went there Friday evening. While they have a large beer selection, the waitress was clueless! We asked what beers were on tap. She had no clue. Wanted to get a sampler and you had to get what they wanted to give you. So we asked what kind they would give us. Again, she had no clue! She had to keep running back and forth to see if they had any of the beer we wanted. Finally tried one beer and liked and ordered a pint. The food was terrible. We had burgers adn they were the worst burgers ever. The pint of beer we ordered ended up being $9 for a pint! We ask the waitress if that price was correct and she had no clue! She went to ask and that was the correct price. They need to tell people when a pint of beer is going to cost $9 instead of getting that surprise on your bill! Will never go back!!

After discovering that the former Pizza Uno became Ashley's of Westland, it has fast become one of our favorites. The patio is a perfect place to spend a summer evening with friends, and there's no shortage of tasty beers to try. The food is also excellent and the menu includes a nice variety including vegetarian items as well as traditional bar food.

They offer a rare variety of beverages that sauce me up.

Stopped in one Saturday afternoon for a bite. The décor and atmosphere of the place is amazing. Our server (and everyone else we encountered) was extremely friendly and helpful too! If you're a beer connoisseur, they boast 19 on tap, and hundreds (maybe thousands?) of different bottled. The selection is constantly changing, so check their website for more details. We opted to go with a Deluxe Grilled Cheese, the adult version of childhood classic- Texas toast grilled and smothered with cheddar, Swiss and provolone cheese and topped with bacon and tomato (for me). This was a coronary nightmare and heaven all rolled up in one. Cheese, buttery, bacony goodness! My fiancé went with a Caprese Sandwich - fresh mozzarella, roma tomatoes, red onion and pesto on spent grain bread drizzled with balsamic syrup. I'm a meat eater, but this sandwich was phenomenal. We've actually started making them at home! We both got pesto fries as well which are waffle cut spicy fries tossed with basil pesto and sun dried tomatoes, & topped with Parmesan cheese. They came with a southwest ranch style sauce, which was completely unnecessary. The fries stood on their own. I love the menu, so many things to try here. We're in the process of planning an after-work party for next week!

(4)Mia M.
(3)Larry L.
Nice interior decorations. It was busy when we went there, so not sure if other nights the service is better. A little slow service by the server, the food was a little pricey, good, yet not outstanding. I'll try them one more time.
(4)Jo J.
(4)Sarah H.
(4)Don B.
Dropped by after visiting the gun range and was happy we did! Their craft beer was ok but the food was amazing! Wife had the chicken caesar wrap and loved every bit of it. The rattlesnake fries were great too
(4)Scott M.
(4)Brittany R.
i love ashley's. plenty of beers to choose from, and definitely lots of yummy foods to choose from as well. i have had their fajitas, deep dish and hand tossed pizza, and their burgers. everything is great! my favorite item on the menu is their spinach and artichoke dip. deliciously cheesy and a noticeable amount of artichokes! the best spinach dip you can get at a restaurant. served with their fresh tortilla chips. i usually opt for their big texan burger, which comes loaded with bacon, crispy onion straws, bbq sauce, lettuce & tomato! i usually get waffles fries with it ($1.29 to substitute for fries) and a side of ranch for dipping! i love coming here when i don't really know what i want to eat, because i know i can find something great on the menu.
(4)Deb M.
(3)George V.

(3)Chelsea C.
Amazing beer selection! Don't feel shy about asking the bartenders for recommendations; they know their stuff! Great salads, burgers, apps, etc. We love it here!
(5)M C.
Best servers! Ashley's food scores in the midrange for bars, but their servers are fantastic. My boyfriend & I started frequenting this place because of location, atmosphere, and price point. But after consecutive visits with awesome waiters & waitresses, we have put service at the top of the list.
(4)Sarah R.
Awesome selection of beer! I seem to get the same waitress every time. She's very knowledgeable about the brews and makes good recommendations. The pizza is pretty good and the wings are meaty.
(4)Emily G.
(3)Sarah S.
(5)Ryan O.
Delicious food and beer selection, service wasn't that good but waitress was nice and she had too many tables to handle, but was short of staff she said
(4)Aaron A.
(1)Jacob Ryan Paco P.
Great addition to the Westland dining scene! Good bar food and a very large beer selection. Great staff, they are always on top of this and are very friendly.
(5)Lindsay R.
One of our favorite places! We come here often. My fiancé is a beer guy and they always have lots of choices for him. They have a loyalty card which is always a bonus. I love when restaurants have customer appreciation programs. Love the beer garden in the summer. They took food service away (it was sooooo slow) but you can order carry out and eat it there. They have live bands, & even some bags to toss out there. My favorite meal is the Georgia Reuben with sweet potato fries (they serve the sweet potato fries with honey, yummy). I've also had their regular fries and they are really good too. If you are a turkey Reuben fan, get it from here, it's one of the best I've ever had. We also like to get the BBQ chicken pizza, it's really good. My fiancé likes the Philly cheese steak & the club. As far as appetizers, the spinach dip is the best & cheese curds are good too. I tried a couple of their salads and they were NOT good. This is not the place to try and be healthy. Service is always good & friendly. There are lots of TVs so it's a great place to go watch a game. Definitely try this place, just don't go and order a salad, k?
(5)Lo C.
The Ashley's in Ann Arbor is definitely better quality. The last few times I have been to this location my food was sub par and my service was mediocre at best.
(2)Izzy R.
(1)Eric S.
(5)April T.
The food is pretty good at this location, but the music is way too loud and the server that we had wasn't very friendly or attentive. This might be a better spot to visit during the day, but it was too chaotic to actually have a conversation during dinner on a Saturday evening.
(3)Emily T.
Love Ashley's! The beer selection can not be beat in Westland and when the weather is right, the beer garden is the best! Live music, cornhole, and lots of seating! Food is good as well, but have only tried small plates
(5)Gary Y.
Went there under yelp reviews..bad decision..Beers were great..food very poor...had it taken off the Tab..very loud and annoying..2 beers out of 10..
(2)Carolyn E.
Their original location in Ann Arbor is probably great too, but I've never had to wait in Westland. ;)
(5)Jim B.
Great hamburgers and fries. They have very good grilled cheese sandwich with garlic.
(4)Crystal W.
(3)Joe V.
(4)Nick B.
(5)Coskun K.
(5)Tim M.
Nice place to chill out. Bar food is good with good selection of beer. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers. Enjoyable every time we go.
(4)Philip I.
(3)Ashley S.
(2)TJ B.
(5)Sandra C.
(4)Deb M.
Couldn't get a Manhattan, no longer had the Scotch someone else wanted, mussels were miniscule. Server was very apologetic. Beer was good and the fries and quesadilla's were good. But really the whole experience could have been better.
(2)Ken B.
Poor service. They advertise specials they won't honor. Sometimes very slow. It was a good place a few years ago but has declined a lot.

(4)Nyki M.

(1)Chad A.

(3)Paige W.
I went here with my grandma after a long day of shopping! Out waitress was great letting us try an assortment of beers before making our choice on one! Also, their Monte Carlo sandwich is to die for! If you in the mood for good bar food, hit this place up!
(5)Tim P.
Selection of beer cannot be beat... The cheese tray is a total joke for 8.99, Stay away... Burgers are good - no complaints. Creme brulee was poor --- very runny. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Beer prices are overpriced. Won't visit again.
(2)Alice A.
(5)Mary C.

(3)Andrew W.
(4)Lisa N.
My favorite local beer bar. Food is good too - especially the pizza and the mac & cheese. A lot of great servers too!
(5)Megan P.
Good burgers but 45 minutes between ordering and actually receiving food on a Thursday night at 9pm is too long of a wait.
(2)Allison J.
(4)Martin W.
Just had their Black and Blue Salad was amazing! Was trying to find something that wasn't too heavy to eat but guess I did it anyways but have no regret was awesome! Had a cute blonde waitress made it even better!
(5)Jess N.
(4)Maggie B.
(2)Jessica O.
Nice service- gave us samples and was informative on the beers offered, manager came over in the middle of our order and started yelling at our server- telling him he needed to clean off other tables while he was taking our order- thought it was really unprofessional and inappropriate- we have been to this bar several times and it never gets any better- never again
(2)Jacquelyn C.
Great food and customer service. I'm addicted to the Ashley Supreme Pizza And fajitas which are cooked in a Bourbon sauce...yum! My favorite sweet Beer is Raspberry Framboise.
(5)Shunda B.
(5)Becki B.
Huh.
(4)Kristen D.
One of my faves for great craft beer. Always the best selection in the area. My favorite brewery,The Hideout had 8 beers on tap this past weekend. We also had a really good pizza pie with feta, pep, and tomatoes.
(4)Scott S.
(4)Adam G.
This place rocks! So many local brews and amazing fish and chips... Never found Ashley though
(5)Samir N.
(3)Lauren W.
(2)Abigail C.
(2)Liz W.
(3)Jenny J.
(3)Reed N.
They had decent, if slightly over-topped, pizza. They had a modest but good wine-by-the-glass selection. They DID have beer. Lots of good beer to choose from. That was really the highlight.
(3)Eric S.
Order was wrong and food just average. Server was nice but first week on the job. For nobody in the restaurant on playoff sunday thats a sign. Probably wont be back.
(2)Meghan P.
Great pizza , order it with Alfredo and pesto . Sounds weird but its amazing!
(4)Robb T.
(4)Paul H.

(5)Craig R.

Lots of beer choices and great for the late night munchies. I had a pizza that was surprisingly good! I would go here again!

(1)Ashley's orginally started in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I have been to that location a few times.
