I was in Wayland, MI for a dance workshop held in the upstairs of Vibrant Grains. I was delighted to see that we could eat all day without having to leave the venue! I had brunch, dinner, and a cinnamon bun snack. Brunch: pretty big menu for a small bakery. I had the special, with two eggs, home fries, applewood bacon, and toast. Every thing was solid, and the toast was especially delicious, which was nice because, well, it's a bakery. Dinner: the menu was very small, but still included a veggie option. I had a lovely salad (dried cherries and sunflower seeds = nice touch!) and baked rigatoni, which was yummy. Very homestyle feeling. My cinnamon bun was huge and delicious and not overpoweringly sweet. I think that, while the food is very good, the best part about this little place is the people. The owner, Celia, came over and said hello, the servers were all super nice and even though 20 dancers descended on them at once, were able to get everyone fed in a reasonable amount of time. They also kept water pitchers full for the entire day and night upstairs for we thirsty dancerfolk. I took a loaf of wheat bread home, and I am still enjoying it two days later. If for some reason I'm ever in Wayland again, I'll definitely go.

We stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning around 11:00 am. The place was busy. Every table was full. We grabbed the first table that opened up, before it was even cleared. The service was slow, the waitresses were very busy and flustered. It took us 45 minutes from the time we walked in until we got our order. That said, the food and coffee was worth the wait. Eggs were cooked the way we liked them, their toast made with one of their specialty breads was served with warmed jam. Their pancakes are as large as the plate, also served with warm syrup, and as good as any I've had. The bacon had a unique smokey flavor that my wife really liked, and the complimentary sweet muffins were also good.

Excellent pumpkin latte and my bagel breakfast sandwich was great. Share my husbands blueberry muffin which was excellent also.

Service is a little slow but the food is absolutely worth it. Delicious bacon and breads, pancakes, definitely worth stopping in here!

Great place for gluten free food! "Least gluten" bread is actually gluten free, but they can't call it gluten free, because there is flour in the restaurant. The bread tastes great, and their breakfast food is exceptional :) We live 5 miles away, and we like to eat here on Sundays. It's only open Friday-Sunday

What a great find!!! We decided to pull off the freeway near grand Rapids and found this wonderful bakery/restaurant. Great selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and hot meals. The serving portions would make a trucker happy. The coffee was as good as it gets. The bakery portion of this spot was amazing - Duffin (donut an muffin dough) baked and then rolled in cinnamon sugar -what a treat. A wide assortment of home made breads and a LARGE selection of gluten free items for the same price as their other breads. The service was hometown feelin and the owners were very helpful and friendly. They continue to grow and added more dishes to our delight. We will definitely be back soon and make this a regular stop while in the area.

Food here is great. Problem is, you'll wait way too long. My wife and I brought our toddler here on a Sunday around noon and she had a fit waiting for her food for so long. The waitstaff is alert and can get the job done. It just seems like the kitchen can't keep up. Which is an awful crying shame because the food is really outstanding. But seriously it took over an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered to get a "Mickey mouse pancake," a club sandwich, and the Wildcat Special.

Restaurant was cold, coffee was bitter, food serving size was very small....but the worst thing was the bread...I love bread and the sourdough was so thinly sliced and tasteless :( my husband had the cinnamon bread that was regular thickness but he complained it had no flavor. I had the wildcat breakfast and it was to have potatoes and onion and meats fried together well I only found a couple potatoes, my husband's scramble left him unimpressed and hungry. We heard many complaints of cold food with only sorry for a reply. We spent $22 for breakfast and both of us walked out hungry would not recommend or return
