I tried this place a few times when it first opened years ago and it didn't really impress me and it certainly hadn't become a go-to place. I have friends that have gone there regularly for the last few years so I decided to give it another try. I have been back several times in the last couple of months and it's definitely become a go-to place for me. The Prime Rib dinner is exceptional, even better than most restaurants I've tried in Oakland County. I've also had the Shrimp Alfredo, which to my surprise, the Alfredo Sauce is even home made! I had Chicken Alfredo last night and again, it was delicious. Our friend, whom had the same opinion of Finos years ago, absolutely loved it and even told the waitress it was amazing. The bread and salad are also great. The food my friends get also looks great and have left me wanting to try more. I usually don't critique service too much because I am thankful and courteous of anyone that is in that field. I have to say it has been exceptional each time I've been there. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. You'll never run out of beverage or bread. The owners and staff are all very friendly. Lastly, the service fee for using debit/credit card is a little annoying. I won't complain about the price of food because of the large portions (I'm always taking home a decent size lunch) but that charge could be buried in the price. I understand it, but separating it out is a little tacky. Especially when the owners Porsche Panamera is parked right out by the back door. lol This is defiantly becoming a go-to place for me now. Service fee and all. Great food and staff.

Love Fino's Family Restaurant! George is very sweet and gives us special attention when visiting. Greek food is wonderful and corned beef sandwich cold or grilled is great. Lots to choose from on the menu but didn't care for there lasagna.

My burrito was cold, the waitress was inattentive and not knowledgeable about the food, and there was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Never again.

Ordered up the chicken kabob and gyro platter on special for Tuesday which came with rice (tomato red sauce topping optional), pita bread, chopped tomato and onion on the side, tzatziki sauce and choice of dessert (ice cream, chocolate pudding, rice pudding, etc). Price $12.99. They serve thick cuts of sliced bread, wrapped 2 to a plastic baggie in a basket (4 total served) with butter packets, saltine and oyster crackers. The bread was decent and mostly fresh. I don't even know why I ordered the gyro meat. I am not of a lover of 'weird' meats outside of the beef-pork-chicken trifecta. It was a snap decision and I was delirious and hungry, but not hungry enough to eat the unappetizing looking cuts of gyro meat on my plate. I barely tasted it and it really is just a personal yuk thing so I won't really take that into account here. The chicken kabob was really good and juicy with nice hunks of meat on it. I loved the tzatziki sauce. It was fresh tasting with a little bite to it. The pita bread was tender. The rice was just okay. The red sauce tasted better when I heated up my leftovers with the rice the today (I gave the gyro meat to my dogs). I was surprised at the amounts in the desserts served at the table. I expected chintzy, but they were all just the right size. Small, but abundant, if that makes any sense. I took a decent amount of leftovers home even after I gorged myself. The restaurant was large-ish and freestanding with a Greek-American menu, a full bar (newer I hear) and friendly/fast/attentive service. The food came out quick and had spots here and there of nice decor (multi-colored glass hanging lamps). You take your ticket and check out at the register. Bill with soda and tip came out to just under $19. A treat for me since I barely eat out anymore. I hear Friday is mac and cheese night and the party that brought me to Fino's recommended giving it a try. I'd love to try breakfast here, too. Lots of options to be had under $10.

The food is about 50/50. If you find something good here stick with it (my husband always gets the western omelette). It seems to mostly favor an older crowd. Good variety of food but like I said it's not all good. This is one of the few places where I don't like the burgers.

So I went to Fino's Restaurant with Jackie tonight, heard they had good food. We sat at a booth near the kitchen area and was greeting by a not very kind waitress. No big deal. We are waiting for our food and Jac and I both noticed the cook was picking up the noodles for Jacs dish with his hand WITHOUT GLOVES, we both kind of freaked but very nicely told the waitress thinking maybe the owner would like to know this information. She was incredible rude and said do you want something else?( Jac did not eat the noodels.) Jac said NO we just thought you might want to know. She tells the manager they both stare at us for a while he never came over to the table, Never said anything to us, the waitress started talking about us right in front of us to another waitress and the owner just stood and watch the cooks. Jac and I we stunned we could not believe how rude they all were. On top of that they never apologized and did not comp the meal. So so rude. Anyway this is my way of getting back at them. DONT GO THERE AND EAT!!!!

If anything stands out about Fino's, it is their portion sizes. Nearly everything is immense. Omelets, pitas and cabbage rolls are massive enough to puncture the fabric of space and time, where they begin to obey their own physical laws. You will need a box. Some of the food is quite good, but all too often flavor and variety are traded for sheer size. Sometimes you get lucky - your food is good and there's a lot of it - but this doesn't happen often. Salads are watery to the point where the lettuce is virtually floating. French fries and onion rings are rushed, soggy, and underdone. If your meal comes with dessert (and many do) you should get ice cream - it is superb. Service is good but not great. Waitresses seem to get distracted and forget small things - more ketchup, another soda. Each one appears to have quite a relatively large number of customers to take care of, however, so this really isn't surprising. The restaurant itself is surgically clean. The decor is very bright and modern. Booths and tables are large. The layout of the place does make it very noisy, however. Okay, but nothing about this place really lit my fire. It's a good place to go when you're extremely hungry, and really just want something to eat. If you want something tasty and fresh it's a gamble.

I have passed by this place numerous times in the past 5 years that i have lived in the waterford area, last saturday night i stopped in with my husband and got seated in "vals" section, and let me tell you i will always be asking for her! She recommended her personal favorites and didn't lie when asked if something was good, (love that considering Im a retired waitress) ended up getting the beef barley and chicken club wrap which both were delicious, the hubby got a chicken kabob and swore it was the best thing he's ever had .... was surprised they had a bar? i don't remember it ever being a bar restaurant but none the less will have to try a mojito or mixed drink in the future, A+ to our amazing waitress and to the great food!! YAY!

First walking through the doors the entire restaurant had a bad odor. We were greeted by nice staff but while walking to the table, looking around there happened to be several tables unattended to and left dirty (with only a tops of 10 people in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy.) It took almost ten minutes for our waitress to get our order. After receiving the food, (Chicken Strip Pita) I found a strand of hair in the chicken (to which they did make a new sandwich) after receiving the new sandwich, about half way through eating it I bit into a piece of cartilage twice. Pointing it out to the waitress she did not offer any sort of compensation or to talk to a manager. When my friend received his food (Veil), he also found a piece of cartilage in the meat. Along side that the bread seemed very stale. The side of onion rings we had ordered seemed to have a weird fishy after taste to them, almost like they were cooked in the same oil as they do the fish or the old oil was not changed. (I am personally allergic to fish)

The word fineto comes to mind as I recap my dining experience at Finos. This restaurant just has no passion to live anymore. Its just as tarnished and sad looking as the road it its on. (dixie highway) Even its main crowd are the elderly folk of Clarkson and Pontiac hoping to have one more meal before they pass into the next world. I just feel bad that Finos would be their last choice before making such transition like that. I really hope heaven at least knows how to make onion rings the right way. I may sound snotty, but I'm already much nicer than the waitress who not only talked back to us when we presented a hair clearly blended and fried into the Chicken Strip Pita, but my working history in restaurants had my red flags raised from the moment I walked in. The building smells. I mean it Smells, like mold, with a sickly hint of glade to supposedly ignore the problem that clearly had been an issue for a while. They also must had been expecting a reservation to fill the other empty half of the restaurant because with such a crowd of 14 empty tables and two senior citizens slurping on GFS soup, I can understand why we were obligated to sit at a dirty table. All in all just remember why I will never go to Finos again. It smells. Terrible service Terrible food (hair, bones, soggy onion rings) No management control (not a single offer was even made to "discount" or "refund" the purchase of the THREE dishes that got sent back) Finos you are Fineto in my book!

This place is big and the wait staff are very friendly. Maybe not every server here, but the ones who are: Denise, and Vera- They are awesome! The food is always adequate and the menu is huge. They also serve and excellent array of alcoholic beverages. The décor is definitely a bit wild, but fun and the flowers are beautiful and plentiful.

For breakfast, this is one of the better restaurants. My husband and I have gone to most of the restaurants in the area, and have found that by far the breakfasts are consistent and taste really good each time that we eat here. I usually have them make up an egg white omelette Greek style (with tomatoes and feta cheese and onions) they do a very good job. The one thing that I judge most breakfast places on is how well they cook hashbrowns. Finos does an excellent job, the hashbrowns are probably the thing that impresses me the most they do not taste at all like the grill always tastes fresh and buttery.

My mom really loves this place for breakfast / lunch, so during my visit we came here for lunch and I can see why she love it. The staff was great and seemed to know my mom right when we walked in. I got a BLT, cant mess that up and was very good and fresh. My mom got the gyro and the best part is she didnt even have to order it, they just knew. Well done, make sure Ma is happy and youre A OK with me!

This is one of our go-to places for any meal. My absolute favorite is the Greek Salad. If you get chicken asked for it to be chopped- if you don't, it comes in big pieces which isn't too appetizing. I get a large and it's enough for dinner that night and lunch the next morning. *Trick- use half of the pita to line the bottom of your to-go box and your salad doesn't get soggy. There is nothing worse than soggy salad.* My boyfriend typically gets the fish and chips-which is always awesome. OH, and we get the saganaki with extra pita- ALWAYS solid. The lasagna is great-not as good as mom's but nothing ever is- as is the baked mostaccioli. They also have a full bar- which is great when you're looking for a drink (or five) with dinner. You can call your order ahead and they'll have it ready for pick up when you get there. Overall, awesome restaurant, servers are great and attentive with solid food.

In this area, five stars don't mean much, EXCEPT IN THIS CASE! Soups are amazing. Lemon rice a must. Goulash was very good. I like mine a bit wetter, but a squirt of ketchup did the trick. It was better the next day. Expect to take good home portions are large. Nancy was a great waitress. I'm on a food vacation, but my cousins come here a lot, and I know why. FULL BAR old decor. ALWAYS cold in there. Bring a sweater. The staff said the owners will not change it either, so dress accordingly. The onion roll corned beef lunch was great. We had SEVERAL different things all very homemade good.

It's not bad. Reasonable prices, you can always find something on the menu that sounds good. We usually get their chicken Greek salad. It's awesome- only wish would be that they ditch that iceberg lettuce.

The portions are huge. The food is good. And the service is quick. Good Lord what more do you want???? It is a coney island. Or a diner. The liquor license is a bit far fetched...I wouldn't go here for dinner.

Love the food here. This is our 3rd visit and the food was exceptional every time. Everything is made from scratch and portions are very large. Save room for dessert!

Worst breakfast ever, I mean how do you mess up breakfast!!!!! Ordered 2 eggs over easy, one was over easy the other was hard. I asked the waitress for new ones as one was hard, she told me no it isn't poke it you will see. I did see the yellow part was fried hard, I think anyone could tell the difference between a hard and an over easy. All you have to do is look at the other egg on the plate they were very different,. The broken yoke was flat you can't have an over easy egg without a lump where the yolk is. I said it isn't done the way I wanted them and again she told me they were, so basically she said I was too stupid to know what an over easy egg looked like!!!!!!! I told her I wanted new eggs, and she finally got me the correct eggs. The hash browns were tasteless, not even salt and pepper were in them. The real kicker was the coffe was only warm. How do you not have hot coffee on a Sunday morning!!!! There were plenty of open tables the whole time we were there and when we left at 10 am on a Sunday. Used to be a good place for breakfast I don't know what happened but won't be going back ever!!! Have gone here for years when visiting my parents, and the last two times they went it was very poor also, three strikes and you are out.
