Matt's Bagel Deli is amazing. Tucked in the back of an unassuming strip mall on Mound, just south of 14 Mile Road, this place is worth the stop. I often pick up amazing fresh bagels, flavored cream cheese smear, and gourmet coffee on my way to client meetings from here. A big hit, especially the gourmet bagels like the spinach & feta or everything bagel with feta cream cheese. The new morning client meeting favorite may just be Matt's coffee cake though. Delicious, and so home made I swear he's hiding Grandma in the back. I recently tried a Reuben for lunch, and as a connoisseur of the Reuben, I will say hands down the best Reuben in a long time. It was amazing. Corned beef piled high and thick slices of swiss cheese on fresh, thick, homemade rye bread, grilled, with just the right amount of sauerkraut and sauce. Unbelievable sandwich - I took half home for dinner. I would call it New York style deli food at reasonable prices. Bring your appetite, and get there before 2 or 3 pm, they close after lunch.

If you like a good bagel you can visit other shops if you are looking for a great bagel, then please take the time to visit Matts. I learned today that Matt Prentice is a culinary chief, and it shows! There is a welcoming amount of choices on his menu, and everything is a cut above. Today I choose a feta cheese bagel with lox. It was a perfect blend of flavors. I also tried the roasted red pepper. Outstanding barely covers my thoughts! Today's presentation arrived on glass dishes! I'll be back every chance I get.

I miss the old owner of this bagel shop, the bagels are ok. We love the way the old owner made them. The roasted red pepper cream cheese is different. I will go back and get bagels but we are not a fan of the new style.

This place is very underrated. The bagels are amazing and fresh as well as the sandwiches. Matt (owner) is an amazing chef. I've been here 3-4 times now, every time im beyond please with my breakfast or lunch sandwich. If your in the area for breakfast you must try the spinach with Asiago & cheese bagel on a egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich!
