Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I love this place. Their breadsticks are simple, but delicious. I love the 2 for $22 menu, which comes with an appetizer. This is a local Italian joint. Just like the breadsticks, the food is relatively simple, but good. I like the gnocchi, I like the spagetti and meatball, I like the ravioli. The service isn't fast, and that knocks em down a star. But overall, it's forgiveable. Their desserts are ok, and there are a variety of them. It's a self-explanatory restaurant, and this is a self-explanatory review. Try them out.

We used Juliano's to cater the dinner for our church's 50th anniversary this past weekend serving nearly 300 people. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The staff came and prepped the serving lines the night before. The food arrived right on time. It was very tasty. It was also hot, even for the last people through the lines. Of course part of the explanation for that is that the staff moved the crowd thru the lines as efficiently as I have ever experienced. Using Juliano's was a great choice!

This review is regarding our memorable experience with Julianos as a venue to host our baby shower luncheon in their banquet hall. The manager Jerry was easy to work with and accommodating. An honest, fair, upstanding guy. Regarding the location, it's accessible from 696 for folks from the other side of town, and just a short drive for most North & East siders. Parking is ample and it is nestled in a modest, but safe and sound part of Warren (near the GM Tech Center). The space for our event was a well done, cozy banquet hall - ideal for our group of about 55-people. It could comfortably fit a few more and there are other rooms adjoined to it and different layouts Jerry can set up to have a larger group (e.g. 65-80+ people, etc.) The banquet hall is nice for smaller events such as baby/bridal showers, birthday parties, family reunions, funeral luncheons, etc. There are overhead speakers for customer provided light background music, but the control center is in the office of the restaurant - thus you can either connect an iPod on shuffle - or bring your own speakers for louder sound. There is a karaoke available for speaking to your group - but test it first to make sure it is sufficient sound for your needs. For us it was just loud enough. The wait staff, especially Megan & Candice - were very attentive and intuitive to our guests' needs. Jerry had them dedicated to our event. During our baby shower they made sure everyone had their beverages & even though it was buffet style - our guests with special requests were taken care of right away (e.g. vegetarian, etc.) The food was good for the price. You see, this is a hard working restaurant in a blue collar area of metro Detroit - so if you are looking for swanky plated meals you will pay double or more per person elsewhere. Since ours was a baby shower in hopes of gaining more in gifts than expense (just being honest), we found the marriage between quality and price spot on here. For under $12/pp we chose a well made chicken marsala entree with all agreeable sides (pasta with meat sauce, seasoned oven roasted potatoes, green beans, salad & rolls) The food was all by no means fancy, but it all tasted fresh, home made, and wholesome. Left our guests satisfied. There are plenty of menu options to choose at the starting price point and Jerry the owner is willing to work with you on suggesting the perfect meal for your event. For dessert we brought in our own cakes from a local bakery. Room was booked for 12PM, but my wife & her posse was allowed to be there at 11AM to setup our personalized decorations. They were flexible - only rule was no confetti. Also, if you have table decorations planned (center piece, colored table cloths, etc.) - let them know in advance so they can take care of it and set the tables all in one go. All in all, our event lasted from 12PM to 4PM. We are happy we went with Julianos, because we got a lot of value for the price. My wife & I plan on taking the baby to meet Uncle Jerry sometime in the future! At that time I hope to also write a review on the dine in experience.

I had visited last night as party of a large party in the banquet room. The service was quick and attentive. No issues there. Our meals were served buffet style- we had salad, breadsticks, chicken parmesean, red potatoes, mostachholi, and green beans. Everything was quite tasty- which is sometimes hard to do when doing buffet style. The chocolate cake for dessert was moist and delicious as well.

I always get good service here, I get good value for the money. Love the new chicken they use it's fresh not pumped full of salt water.

We just had my daughters baby shower her last Saturday. Where to begin.... The staff is very easy to work with and accommodated all of my needs. They will work with you for anyone needing a special diet, the menu is large and offers so may choices! The room was set up perfectly and looked elegant for our guests. The cost is very affordable for what they offer. I did the buffet meal, they boxed up food at the end because we had a few people not show up at the last minute ( I have never been offered food from a buffet to go before, nice touch). The food was delicious, service was adequate and they worked very hard for both parties scheduled. Bottom line, I will use them in a heart beat again. Thank You for making my daughter's special days nice.

Was ok for the price. I took my daughter and her boyfriend here for dinner, I got salmon. Which was $16, my daughter got a chicken sandwich, and her boyfriend got chicken nuggets. Our bill was over $40. Our server didn't notice we didn't have cutlery, I had to ask a busser, after we got our food. I don't feel that was worth $40. I won't be going back.

Ever since I went vegan, I have discovered so many foods. Gnocci and Italian Lemon Cream cake were on last night's menu for me. This is an Italian restaurant with a full menu. My service was excellent, the complimentary bread basket was filled with warm bread and crackers, the Gnocci was cooked to perfection, surrounded by pepper and onions. Their Italian Lemon Cream cake was very delicious - it would be worth stopping just to have a slice. With a casual atmosphere, the restaurant was warm and inviting. Along with banquet rooms, they have a full bar available. Shared parking in the back assures plenty of spaces for afternoon / evening dining.

I recently experienced Juliano's during a catered company luncheon at Riemer Floors and it was a much-welcomed change from our usual catering of sandwiches! Food was hot, delicious, fresh, and there was something for everyone. There was a lot of positive chatter regarding the chicken, which I also personally enjoyed but the breadsticks were my favorite! Additionally, the servers were efficient and friendly and made our event seem a little more special than usual. They even came around to pick up our empty plates, letting us enjoy our break a little longer than usual. Accolades are also passed on from Paul Riemer, VP of Riemer Floors. Overall, it is safe to say that Riemer Floors thoroughly enjoyed Juliano's catering and it helped make our luncheon memorable.

This was a pre-show meal and it was very good. Wife had the ceasar salad and her only criticism was that she should have asked for the dressing on the side. The cup of minestrone soup was good, more tomato based than I am used to but a nice change. I had the steak sciliano and the thing was huge with a nice size baked potato. With all of the food available we ended taking home two full boxes, and a small one for the canolli that we couldn't finish.

Yummy dinner of Spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs -- endless. Lobster Ravioli was delicious. Much food. Margarita was too strong . Service was very good.

Do not plan your event here (banquets, shower etc.). They totally overbook the venue to the gills and servers are nowhere to be seen. Have to ask for your drinks. And look luck if you receive them. They have people from other party room going in/out of our room in order to enter/leave their room. Their party was so loud we couldn't hear ours. Absolutely horrible. Do not plan anything here! Zero review if I could.

If I could give ZERO stars I would this place is terrible I have ordered carry out twice, you know the old saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, well that is so true. I should have never gave this place a second chance. I ordered carry out Chicken Piccante, lunch order it was literally on piece of chicken smaller than 3 inches, with a scoop of old frozen vegetables for $11.10 . The service is terrible, the interior is terrible and the food is even worse. TAKE MY ADVICE TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Dark atmosphere. Food tasted like it came out of a frozen box. Even the gnocchi tasted like they not only came out of a box, but were sauteed in fake butter. Sauce tasted like it came out of those big cans from Costco. Everything tasted so artificial, it made the experience that much more disappointing. If the food tasted good, the prices would be decent, but they certainly aren't fair for what quality you get.

Good service and good food. Very good value. Overall worth checking out.

Dined here last week after a 15 year hiatus. I remembering dining here as a kid, and the ravioli were always my fav. They have a great menu and the breadsticks are really good! I ordered the ravioli, and they were good, but I wasn't a fan of their marinara sauce. It's different than how I remember it used to be. The portions were good and the prices reasonable. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so we didn't have to wait. We will be back.

My husband and I LOVE Juliano's, we go there all the time - both for carry out and to dine in. We even had Julinao's cater our wedding this past summer, and we were so pleased with their service and their food. Every time we go in, the wait staff is so friendly, especially Shana! We request to sit in her section often because she is always so friendly and hilarious and prompt with anything we could possibly need. We are proud to be frequent flyers at this restaurant. Dishes we recommend: Chicken Francese, Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, Asiago Gnocci, Italian Combination plate, Cheese Sticks appetizers, and their canolis and tiramisu.

The only good thing about the whole experience on Friday evening was the very nice hostess that seated us. Didn't have a high chair for my 2 year old. My chicken parmesan was dry and overcooked and the pasta was undercooked. The waitress was nice but seemed overworked and we never received water at our table. This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant in about a year, and each time it seems the quality of service and food has gone down with each visit.

The service is always good. The food is very consistent. I do enjoy eating here.

I've went here at least 3-4 times a year for the last 20 and I've always had good service. The food is solid especially the minestrone soup. Kinda chintzy that the bread sticks where cut in half, but hey everyone need to make a buck!

My girlfriend and I have eaten at this restaurant at least 25 times in the past 5 years. We keep coming back because the food and service are consistently very good. If you're looking for a decent Italian restaurant in Metro Detroit that isn't formal and doesn't overcharge for food and drinks, this is your place. Simple dishes like angel hair pasta with palomino sauce are delicious - the sauce is a perfect blend of ripe tomatoes and a not too overpowering cream sauce. One of their specialty dishes, Chicken Piccata, comes with very tender chicken breasts over angel hair pasta, cooked in a medium cream sauce, with artichokes. One of my favorites! The Chicken Juliano is also very good - similar to chicken cacciatore. Wait staff is very attentive - salads are brought out right away and mains dishes are always brought out about 10 minutes later. Water glasses are always kept filled and you can have all the fresh baked bread and olive oil for dipping sauce you want. Juliano's formula for success seems real simple, serve tasty dishes at reasonable prices, but that's all we need to keep coming back.
