Their food A. Their service today F-. I work in the mall, so I eat here pretty often. Their food is the perfect comfort food treat on a stressful day & despite the caloric overload, it's always worth it. Today they were offering a new sandwich "add Mac and Cheese combinations starting at $". So I try it. The cashier says it's not an option, I point to the sign, she shrugs & gets a manager. The manager was so snappy and rude it was unbelievable. All she had to say was "sorry, the sign is misleading" instead she snaps "that's not what it says, you're reading it wrong." Apparently, I was supposed to infer (with no context) that I could add Mac & cheese inside the sandwich for an additional charge. She talked to me like I was an idiot for assuming "combination" meant "combo" (like the other sandwich/Mac & cheese lunches they offer). So rude.

Welcome to Mac & Cheese Heaven...a place where if you can dream it, you can eat it! This food court gem is as good as it gets for Mac & Cheese lovers. Try the buffalo chicken, or my personal favorite, the bacon mac & cheese! If you don't see something that you like on the menu, the employees will gladly help you create something spectacular. In addition to Mac & Cheese, you can order fresh salads, soups, & pastries.

I loved coming here on weekend trips if I went to the mall. It's fun to find out which specials they've got. The staff is friendly and I love looking out the windows they've got in the eating area since it's so spacious.

Who expects to find hearty, belly-filling food in the pretentious food court -- pardon, "Peacock Cafes" -- at a mall that demands recognition as a "Collection"? My bemused lover and I wandered past on our way to the LEGO store, and finally got snared to try. The cat's out of the bag on Yelp for good reason. I, for one, welcome our cheesy noodle overlords. Sweet Lorraine's prides itself on offering twelve varieties of mac and cheese on their permanent menu, ranging from ooey-gooey classic to rib-sticking bacon and cheese to more vegan-friendly alternatives stuffed with half the veggie crisper. Daily specials throw in the kitchen sink for good measure. I eyed up the green pesto machine with the intense look of a starving wild cat (or a pregnant woman, take your pick), and helped myself to a "mini" portion. Do not be deceived by European standards. Mini means a tureen for two, and the full-size portion is actually a foil-wrapped Fiat. Sticker shock for the fanciest mac 'n cheese varieties may set in until you realize you can feed a family of four pretty well. For the truly hungry, they offer a soup/sandwich and mini classic deal for about $7. You get their standby mac and cheese, a choice of a sandwich off their board, and satisfaction all around. The sandwich choices stand in the long, buttery orange shadow of their macaroni concoctions, as well they should, but I suppose they looked pretty good. But none was sufficient to snare me in their leafy wiles while I was salivating like a lioness over my most recent kill. The beau and I split a tureen of bacon and cheese macaroni, proof I can indeed share when genetics insist I save all the best parts for myself. I'll admit it -- between two hungry adults, the mini was a perfect lunch. We indulged on the al dente pasta coated liberally in a cheese sauce that sure as heck didn't come out of a Velveeta jar. This is real cheese and butter, baby. Forget your diet and pace yourself to really enjoy the taste. Bacon pieces were small and rich, adding flavour without overwhelming the mac and cheese in a complete bacongasm of porky fireworks (for that, go to Dino's and give big eyes at the waitress). Just right. Sweet Lorraine's also has homebaked cookies that turned out to be one part batter, four parts giant chunks of chocolate. Half a cookie finished both of us off until our dinner several hours later. Just in case we had any doubts about our choice, fully half the pretentiously named food court was full of patrons eating Sweet Lorraine's sandwiches or mac 'n chese. Don't mess with perfection, right? Forget skimpy salads, deep fried chunks of mystery meat, and oil-saturated French fries. Ditch that latte replacement for a real meal. Sweet Lorraine's serves up a great lunch that's both nutritious and delicious, meeting my demanding OMNOMNOM standards. It's probably the second best thing in this mall.

Yum yum yum! I was hungry at the mall and love Sweet Lorraine's in Southfield, so I decided to try this one. Got the red, blue and greens salad and a mini mac and cheese. That mini was HUGE. And super creamy and they broil it so you get that nice crispy crust. Heaven. That salad was super good too. Lots of cranberries, spinach, bacon and blue cheese, and along with their signature poppy seed dressing. About $7.50 for the two, good value for the food quality. I will be back. :-)

If you're like me, Christmas tis the season when you spend more time than you like in shopping malls. Which means more meals than you want to eat in mall food courts. And much like a superband full of aging rock stars, this is a story that never ends well (with apologies to Them Crooked Vultures). This is why Sweet Lorraine's was a pleasant surprise during my annual pilgrimage to my mother's version of Mecca-- the mall. This is a tweak on the modern soup, salad and sandwich fast food place, with the soup portion being substituted for that childhood favorite of Mac and Cheese. The mac and cheese comes in a small and large size, with the small being pretty big and the large being a very, very small vat. The mac comes with different toppings, from tradition Buffalo Chicken Mac and Lobster Mac to an everything but the kitchen sink Mexican Mac and Cheese. I went for the buffalo mac. The chicken had a nice spice to it and the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious.. But what set it apart from the rest of the food court cuisine was its preparation. The bane of mall food is that you have no idea how long it has been sitting around. At Sweet Lorraine's, they throw your mac and cheese under a broiler for a few seconds before serving it to you. This ensures it develops a nice crust, and tastes fresher than the rest of its food court brethren. It's a three and a half star place that gets rounded up due to it's surroundings.

Great Mac n Cheese! As a vegetarian, I loved the extreme veggie Mac and Cheese, Veggie wrap and vegetarian chili! everything was delicious and the customer service was wonderful!

Yeah, so I feel more than a little lame for reviewing a food court restaurant but that won't stop me from doing it anyway. Somerset is a pretty swanky mall and I was surprised by the sheer massiveness of the place. It had the "Walk-a-lators" just like they do at large airports. Seriously?! For a mall this size I am seriously surprised by how bad the food court sucks. It really does. The food at this mall in general has a lack of variety and range in prices. I decided to try Sweet Lorraine's because I wasn't willing to shell out $10 for some rotten ass salad across the food court. I got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Perfect comfort food! It was super creamy and had the right amount of spice. The portions were generous and I definitely detected Frank's Red Hot sauce and I love that stuff. The young men working the the counter were about high school aged and were incredibly helpful and polite. That was another unexpected plus. I will definitely eat here again when I am stopping by the mall.

This Mac and cheese was awesome. I'm a Mac and cheese fan and hesitated to get it at a mall food court. But the line was long on a Wednesday afternoon and the spiral noodles looked tasty so I risked it and was rewarded. I went simple and did the four cheese mega sized option (I was starving and this size left me stuffed). My wife went with Chinese food and she clearly had food envy and my Mac and cheese won her over and we will both get the Mac and cheese when we return to Somerset.

Disclaimer: I did not get the mac and cheese. I was very underwhelmed. The service was painfully slow and not overly friendly. There was one thing on the menu I could eat. The iced tea was not terrific and I wish I could order a pickle or chips. I ended up getting more food elsewhere. And it is quite expensive. After I got my food and left, I needed dressing on my wrap - it didn't have enough and what it did have was concentrated in one spot. They wanted to charge me extra. I walked off pissed and my three star "maybe I'd try it again" rating went to a one star "screw you for life" rating.

Ridiculously good. I had the cajun shrimp bowl. I wish they had another location in Macomb County...but maybe that is good so I don't make a habit coming to this place. They were fast and friendly. I'm still surprised that these creative dishes offered in a food court, but then again, it is Somerset. If you feel like eating comfort food every once in a while, this is a good place to pick up something.

Tip: check in for a free cookie or drink. (Orange cream soda is very good! They do not have Pepsi or coke products). After 3 visits, it's time for a review. This location is in the food court at the somerset mall in Troy. Their Mac and cheese, wraps and salads are always made to order. My favorite has been the Cubano mac. It was unique and I loved it. Their salad is good. I've had better but for food court food? I give you a five star for your price, generous portions and smiling staff. The original is always a good place to start, but I insist to explore outside your comfort zone and try one of their 12 other favors like pizza Mac or truffle and mushroom. (Wasn't a fan of their hamburger mac) Oh and random, but my order had a discount on top of a free drink when I checked in? Not sure if that was intended but I accept this surprise happily! So thank you!

Such a nice spot for lunch at the mall. My mac n' cheese was exactly what I needed.

How does an unsuspecting stall in a mall food court conjure up several tasty variations of scrumptious mac & cheese? These guys have the answer. My wife and I wanted a bite to eat after a long day of Great Lakes Crossing shopping. This looked to be the most unique and appealing option in the food court with weak competition from places like A&W, Taco Hell, SBarro & the likes. We chose the 4-cheese mac & added chicken. The mega portion eats like a snack for 2, or large meal for 1. It was baked to perfection and had plenty of cheese on it. We ate it to the last bit & I sat there trying to scrape up the last bit of cheese. Really good mac & cheese is hard for me to differentiate from place to place - but I will say that not only does this place rank among the best - it reigns king in having options (e.g. truffle/mushroom, cheeseburger, bacon, Philly cheesesteak, classic, chicken, etc.) There are soups, sandwiches, salads & desserts here - but **** that! You can get a salad anywhere else. I highly recommend this place - especially if you want the one unique & comfort foodie option in this whole food court. Two thumbs up!

What a nice surprise - something delicious in a mall food court. Ha! I was in a super rush, running errands on my lunch hour when I remembered that I'd read about this place on Yelp! YAY! The staff were very nice - offering samples and such. I went with the Green Mean Pesto Mac - spinach, pesto and walnuts on top of mac & cheese. They had me at Toasted Walnuts! Seriously! I ordered the mini ($4.99) - -a filling (but not overly so) and yummy lunch. I was delighted that they didn't over-do it on the pesto - it was just the right amount. For checking in on Yelp, I scored a free cookie. Chocolate chunk w/ walnuts ... mmmm! I like a little more salt in my cookie dough, but it was yummy and packed with chocolate and walnuts.

Delicious food!! Service was a little interesting. I don't know if it was more training needed or overwhelmed from the after church Sunday brunch hour. I highly recommend the salmon cakes & the veg hash!! I visited the one in Southfield on Greenfield Rd.
