I can't believe this place is still in business as a bed and breakfast. We went in 2005, and I can only hope the owners have improved themselves since then. The location is beautiful, but it's out in the middle of nowhere and the house itself is too modern for the surroundings. There are only 3 rooms and only 1 of them comes with a TV. We would have had to pay $200 more a night for the room w/the TV. So w/no TV, and the place so quiet you can hear a pin drop...unless you have plans elsewhere while there, prepare to be very bored. When we arrived (on our honeymoon), the wife had left to take one of their 30+ roaming cats to the hospital. This was all that mattered to them. The husband was virtually no help at all; didn't care it was our honeymoon and we got none of the perks we had been promised online. In fact, he clearly stated to us he knew nothing of what was on the website. When we asked him about the couples massage and dinner gift card that came with our package, he grew very abrupt like we were trying to steal from him. The only good thing about the place were the breakfasts. I would never go back and I do not recommend. Absolutely a total disappointment all around. Dreadful!

I loved my stay at this B&B. Although i have only stayed at one in the past, this trip far exceeded my expectations. The pros is that it is really private, with only three rooms, perfect for a romantic getaway. The room was so clean, well kept, and the house was well built with radiant floor heating. Our room was the one with the gas fireplace and little sitting room had an excellent view of the wineries and in the distance you could see the bay. They have special touches, like a turn down service with cookies on your bed and light snacks in the evening. I haven't even gotten to the best part... the breakfast! She serves wonderful french breakfasts. I was so impressed with the presentation and taste of everything, I really didn't want to leave and would be happy to come back. It has a great location in the middle of the Mission Peninsula if you are coming for wine tasting. The only thing that could be improved is some more comfortable seating in the sitting room of our room. It would make that much more enjoyable. Truly recommend staying here.

1st B&B experience, and it couldn't have been better. Location is fantastic, views are amazing and breakfasts were delicious. Cindy and Jay are delightful hosts, and their personal touches made our trip up to MI really special.

Grey Hare Inn is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. We've stayed in many B&Bs and each has its own personality. The home is more modern, so it doesn't have the old Victorian charm that many B&Bs have, but with that comes clean modern amenities. The real reason to go to Grey Hare is the absolutely amazing breakfast. Cindy is one of the finest cooks I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Each of the three mornings, Cindy put together an elegant and delicious meal which kept us satisfied until late afternoon. The location is also perfect if you want to enjoy the wineries of Mission Point or downtown Traverse City. It is exactly in the middle of the light house or downtown. We could not have selected a more perfect location. The only thing missing is an water view, which would have been nice.

this is a really nice, very small b & b about half way up the mission. The owners were very pleasant, the rooms pretty and comfortable, and the breakfast excellent. the wineries are all close by (you can walk to Peninsula Cellars) and the views killer. what's not to love about it?
