Geno must not have been in the day we visited. Walk in the door, everyone at the bar turns around to look at you, including bar staff, they all realize quickly that you aren't a regular and become disinterested. We sat ourselves, then waited and waited. I make a move to stand up and leave and am finally acknowledged by the bar staff chatting with the regulars. They say someone will be with us in a minute. I notice a can of bug fogger on the fireplace next to me and an open bag of mulch or dirt or something. Just yuck. I cannot believe I stayed, but I did because of the good reviews. I wasn't expecting anything but a dive bar and grill, but bug spray and a bag of landscaping material right in the open where people are eating? Food took forever to arrive too. I will say the pizza was really, really good.

Famous ribs offered only on Thursdays. Probably your best bet if you happen to be in the area. Solid food, cool bar with live music and friendly attentive staff. The owner, Geno, is a retired football legend and often on site interacting with patrons.

I brought my wife and three kids here to eat on Monday and Thursday of this week. Monday we met Gino, and after letting him know how much we enjoyed his restaurant, he shared that Thursday was Rib Night. Gino uses a family recipe passed down from his mother and smokes the ribs for three days. Needless to say, the meal did not disappoint the family. My boys and I each had a half slab of ribs, which fell off the bone and had a wonderfully tasting rub/sauce on them. The staff at Gino's is also excellent. They have a great selection of draft beers, bottled sodas and family favorites for appetizers. This place is a must stop!

The most delicious ribs! Get there early or you will miss out!

Nice sports bar. They have TV all around. Nice place to watch sports and have some drinks.

Visited while snowmobiling in the area. The food was great but please consider making the Ladies restroom more accommodating for bulky snowmobile gear.

Fantastic. My husband and I were staying at nearby Crystal Mountain and we found this on here. So glad we went on rib Thursday. They we're out of this world. The chili was also fantastic. I will absolutely come here again the next time I am in town

Thursday night is rib night. Make a point to stop. Also, $1 pints of PBR. Rest of the family had pizza. Great food all around. BBQ sauce is amazing!

We ended up at Geno's at the recommendation of the cart guys at Crystal. The place was packed on a Friday night, maybe because of the all-you-can-eat fish fry? We ordered three pizza for the group and they were fantastic. I would definitely recommend seeking out Geno's if you are staying a Crystal for relaxed bar atmosphere. Our server was great too!

Maybe I was there on an off-day...or an off-week. The items in the fried appetizer basket were brittle, tasting like the fryer had severely missed its regular oil change. The "chicken breast" sandwich was pretty bad. You would expect a real chicken breast on a bun. Nope. It was sliced strips, like you would get in that bag in your grocer's freezer so you can easily microwave them to put on your salad. Soup was waaay too salty. Service was fast & friendly, but can't make up for the poor food. I suggest that you spend your time elsewhere.

Rib night Thursday ... nut said. The place was PACKED, people were standing in the doorway, in the aisles waiting for a seat for the tasty ribs (half or full slab) that were very good. Just the right amount of sauce, prefer a bit more pull to my ribs (these easily fall off the bone and clean) but what a hidden gem. Have visited Traverse City multiple times ... and even though this place is about 45 minutes of rural road drive away from T-city ... would honestly make the trip next time I am there. Was in Crystal Mountain for a conference .... DEFINITELY would eat here rather than there. Other menu offerings looked promising, but it was Thursday and ... well, you know by now.

Awesome staff and owner! Having a blast with Jordan, Shelly and the owner Geno. Great specials, delicious food, and lets not forget heat. Amen for Heat!

My family eats here quite a bit and I've been numerous times with them. Good broasted chicken and ribs. I like the mushroom swiss burger, coleslaw, tater tots, cheesesticks, and the root beer. My french dip the other day was just ok, a bit overcooked. Nice staff. Overall it's a good place
(4)Sherry T.
Every time we're on our way to Crystal, we stop by for a tasty, well-priced meal. Their broasted chicken is delicious. Geno is great... always accommodating and friendly.

My family has been going here for a few years now. Genos never disappoints! The staff, people, and Geno are always friendly. All of the food is great. Just had the Clam Chowder on Friday and it was the best I ever had. Pizza is my favorite, and the men in my family love the ribs. You will love this place.

A required place to eat every time I come up to my cabin in Tville. The Tville Burger is the best burger I have ever had; half pound of juicy beef with grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon, cheese all on a grilled bun! The all-you-can-eat fish on Fridays is excellent. French Fries are awesome, they leave the skin on, which makes them better than ever. His pizza and wet burritos are really good too. It might take some time to find a table on most of the peak times of the year, but well worth the wait.

Good lunch after xc skiing at Crystal Mtn. Restaurant was busy with snowmobilers too. Our vegetarian friend was happy with a vege pizza. The turkey wrap and sweet potato fries were good. The spicy chili was a bit too spicy for us. Friendly service. We'll be back.
