Me and a buddy stopped in after hearing about the beer selection. It's nothing to brag about but I did like the variety of Michigan craft beers. The food on the other hand was awful. The waitress said they were known for the loaded potatoe soup. So we both gave it a try. Very bland to say the least. Oh and hair was in my buddies soup. Not to mention the silverware was disgusting. We both had to get more. The chicken sandwhich I got was literally rubber. Just a terrible experience all around. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

After a friend ate here a few days ago, I decided on give it another shot. The food was much better this time around, although still not *awesome* per say. The loaded potato soup is something they're famous for and rightfully so. Pierogi's were delicious, as were their homemade potato chips. The chicken on my chicken Caesar salad left much to be desired, though. Dry and not much flavor. Finally, the service is still not great. No kids menus, so we were told to ask the waitress. The waitress knew nothing about the kids menu. The food took FOREVER to come out - my 4 year old was actually in tears because we waited so long and she was starving. Drink refills were hard to come by, and the waitress looked annoyed whenever we asked. It always seem like the wait staff is brand new, and they're also young, it never feels like they have any clue how to wait a table, especially when the restaurant is busy. They're were just scrambling.

This was our first time coming to this place. And they wowed us with our first impression. The decor was nice. The restaurant was well maintained and clean. Our server was friendly, personable, professional and timely. She was definitely on point at all times. She knew the menu and was able to advise us on what foods we'd enjoy. And she was right. And we will be back. My wife tried the gyros omelet. She said that it was the best in the area that she had ever had. The eggs were fluffy. The omelet was well filled and filling. The ingredients were all fresh. And it was nicely seasoned. I had the deluxe gyro wrap. It was full of fresh ingredients. Unlike some places, the flat bread was fresh. Every ingredient was flavorful. It was large and filling. It was a delight to eat. It was one of the best in the area as well.

Came here because I was in the area. I would really say this place is a 3.5 star review, but will go with 3 stars. There is two positives to this place:their beer and fries. They have about 30-35 different beers on tap, which always wins you points in my book and their fries are some really really good fries and must haves. I had three other things here: gyro (average), wings (buffalo sauce is average, garlic Parmesan is nasty and horrible), and Caesar salad (also average). Overall it's a ok place, I would maybe come here to the bar and watch one of their tv's, but the jury is still out on the food as a whole.

Food was good, Portions were huge! I got the Chicken Parmesan. Delicious. Wife got the lasagna. Also delicious. We had four in our party and we had zero complaints. Clean and friendly place. Other reviews almost scared us away... Don't miss out on a chance to find out for yourself. Really happy we went.

Used to have amazing food, now it all sucks. My burger tasted like it was rolled in a pound of pepper, and it was VERY VERY greasy. I went in with my family, there were 5 of us and none of us were happy with our food. Definitely sad to say I won't be coming back.

WOW, what happened to this place? !!! I used to come to Petes all of the time for breakfast when I lived with my parents. I pretty much forgot about this place until a buddy told me they have 40 craft beers on tap! The restaurant is totally remodeled with a separate bar area. Everything is clean with modern colors. Clean symmetric bricks, glass, and tile everywhere in the bar area. Sampler flights of beers are $3 for 4 beers. The servers know NOTHING about what they're serving, but the draught list at least tells you the brewery and style. The beer wasn't too cold and glasses were clean. The selection is mostly Michigan, many selections not commonly available. 5 Stars for the beer and non-sticky tables :-) Food is pretty much standard "upper class" Greek diner/coney island. I heard the eggs benedict and chilli are great. I had the potato soup in a breadbowl--nothing special, but well worth the $4something I paid for it. I'll definitely be back for breakfast soon, and probably often to try a flight or two with friends.

I've been to Pete's Place since my father introduced me to the place as a child in the mid-to-late nineties and seeing all of the negative reviews honestly surprises me as I've had absolutely no problems with the establishment. While Pete's isn't the prime cut of the restaurant circuit I think they offer plenty to the table and I've never had a misordered item nor have I ever had a meal that lacks quality. It's a good place.

My husband and I have had a tradition of going to breakfast Sunday morning. We started shortly after we got married and Star Diner has always been our go-to place. This Sunday, however, we hit up Star only to find it closed. We had no choice but to find a new place. Pete's Place looked cute and inviting, so we gave it a shot. Unfortunately, this will not be our next go-to breakfast spot. My omelette was overcooked, my toast burnt. Service was average. The place was clean, but it's actually not all that pleasant to have someone mopping around you when you eat. Go figure.

Typical reheated food service ingredients. Lots of downtrodden downriver Michiganders. Potato soup was almost inedible, was so salty. Please improve! We need a good Taylor stop that isn't a chain.

I'll admit, we would have never walked into Pete's Place if we didn't have a BOGO coupon in our entertainment book. However, I'm glad we did. My husband and I have been having a long string of bad service experiences lately and our stop at Pete's Place changed that. I can't remember our servers name, but she was a pretty brunette with big eyes. It is a little weird that there is no hostess. It'd be nice if a server greeted someone at the door and showed them available tables. After we stood near the entrance for 3 minutes looking dumb, we walked around randomly checking several empty tables before finding one that had been wiped down. The menu is comparable to Ram's Horn, but with some random goodies thrown in. The prices were very reasonable and most of the entrees come with both soup and salad. There were several awards posted for the loaded baked potato soup and I agree, "Best Downriver!". Very good soup. Our chicken tenders, red skin potatoes, and lasagna were okay. Nothing special. The food was hot though and service was fast and attentive. Pete's Place is no date night, but it's a nice family restaurant with decent prices and great baked potato soup.

We stopped at this place because the building looked nice and inviting. Unfortunately we ignored the warning sign in front: "Experienced Cook Wanted." The service was O. K., a little slow, but O. K. The food on the other hand was horrendous. I had a "Mexican Burger." From the menu description it sounded pretty good, a burger topped with chili, cheese, onions and diced tomatoes. What I got was a frozen burger, that had been re-heated, topped with a sugary, tomato-based, bean chili (I was expecting a coney style chili, though this is my fault because I did not ask). Even though I was asked how I wanted it cooked, the burger was so well-done it tasted, and chewed like cardboard and actually had painted-on grill lines. I ate maybe 10% of it before giving up. My companion had the spaghetti. The bowl the pasta came in was 2/3 filled with what can only be described as pink water and the sauce, I am told, was way too sweet. My companion probably ate less of his dish than I did. We thought, well, maybe this Oreo pie they have will make up for the terrible entrees. Yeah, they don't have it, even though it's pictured on a table topper. Apparently, they haven't had the Oreo pie in months. Will not return. Even if they do find an "Experienced Cook"

The only thing I get here is the salmon salad, it is ridiculously good. I am not a fan of their other dishes. However my husband loves there liver & onions. The one time I got dessert here it was stale. And they never have decaf coffee ready, always have to wait for them to make it. Service is decent.

Great breakfast. The hashbrowns are particularly memorable. The lunch menu features actual salads and healthy options (rare for the area). Can't beat the free wi-fi and the modern, clean decor.

Definitely good food, but the service there is terrible every time I've ever been. They're either slow or unfriendly, or both lol. It is however a good place to go when you can't decide what exactly you feel like eating, just make sure you don't have to be anywhere anytime soon.

I knew from the second that I walked in that I wasn't going to like Pete's Place. A rumpled and harried waitress ran past us and yelled "sit wherever you can!". Ummm, ok. Then came the uncomfortable task of trying to tell which diners were leaving, which tables were dirty or clean, etc. For Heaven's sake...even Denny's has a hostess! The service was bad, the food was meh-ish. It wasn't anything I couldn't get in one of a thousand places down telegraph road. The worst part of our lunch was hearing the servers bicker back and forth, and someone in the kitchen constantly screaming the girls names to pick up their orders. The decor suggests they are trying to make it a coffee and dessert type of meeting place. I noticed that the desserts have those generic advertising cards on the tables, so I'm assuming they aren't made in-house. Why bother with Snickers Cheesecake if you can't make it yourself? So, I'll say it again....if you have stellar food, then I can forgive bad service. In the case of Pete's Place, the service was bad and the food wasn't enough to bring me back.

I eat at Petes place all the time. When I go there I order the salmon. And it's always cooked to perfection. I've pretty much eating everything on the menu. Not once have I ever had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. I I would recommend this place over all the other restaurants in Taylor

Pete's looks like it wants to be a coffeehouse from the outside. The building definitely has curb appeal. The past couple months has seen Pete's doing some add-on to the side of the building and making the parkling lot larger. The coffee-cappu-lattes here are great. Once you get done wandering around to find yourself a clean table to sit at to order one, that is, as they have no greeter. The menu is huge with selections ranging from greek to italian to tex-mex to plain ol' american. The four or so times the mister and I have been here the food has been rather lackluster and prepared with no attention to detail and served with indifference. Sort of like an exercise in existentialism. The best thing one could order here is breakfast, seeing as eggs do not need to be made out of something else in order to be edible. I have had their burgers (bit dry), their Frisco salad (tomatoes were so mushy and had that ...almost... rotten taste to them. You know what I mean.) and their patty melt (made with stale bread. You can't fool me--I know what stale bread tastes like when you slather it in margarine and grill it. Trust me, I did this for my first husband many times. It was because I didn't like him. I get the feeling that Pete's doesn't like ME when they do it.). The soup is okay. My husband reports that the kielbasa and eggs are good. Now, the service is ...odd... at Pete's. It is almost as if the waitstaff was back in the kitchen taking their final exam in calculus and are put out that they have to come out to take your order. And don't drink all of your tasty beverage before the food comes, because that calculus exam is timed. You might want to bring your own silverware. Best to come here for a basic breakfast or coffee and dessert. And don't come around either the lunch rush or dinner rush. There is one women's restroom. No, I mean there is a single room with one toilet and one sink in it as well as an industrial strength hand dryer that will make you look like that Flock of Seagulls guy if you use it. So, just run. Run so far away.

I wanted to give this place a better review, I really did. I really didn't have very high expectations when we decided to go here but when I walked in I was surprised! The inside had a nice coffee house/diner feel. (I know that sound weird but it works for them.) my meal came with both soup and salad, the soup was very good and the salad was decent. My meal was surprisingly good. I had the chicken Parm and it was cooked perfectly! Afterward I had a cappuccino and it was also pretty good. Would have got 4 stars but in the middle my meals I started noticing the fruit flies... Im not sure what causes a place to have fruit flies in the winter.

I stopped in to Pete's yesterday with a friend for a last minute lunch. I have been there once before and thought it was OK. She had the chicken salad wrap with a salad and I had the turkey club with fries. She said the wrap was a little on the bland side but overall OK, and the salad was tasty also. My turkey club was pretty good, I almost bit in to a toothpick, but hey thats my fault! HAHA The atmosphere is not the typical downriver vibe so that is for sure a plus. They also have WiFi which was helpful for the couple of emails I forget to send earlier in the day. I mean I really have nothing bad to say and nothing great to say either. If you're in a hurry and passing by and don't know where to stop and definitely are not in to fast food then I can say you probably will get a descent quick meal. Oh, and the picture of Little Richard at the front door with his receipt for spaghetti carryout on his way through and paying with a $100 bill is priceless... at least for a nerd like me it is.

I got a turkey wrap that came with soup and fries. The loaded baked potato soup was very good but the service was horrible. We were never brought napkins or silverware even when asked. Our waitress forgot to bring my mom's salad that was supposed to come with her meal. We also had to remind her twice to bring us to-go boxes. Wouldn't recommend!

When your not sure where to go, Pete's is the place. They have a good variety of foods. I've been here a handful of times, and haven't had a bad meal yet. Try their specialty drinks as well. Around Halloween they have the best Hot Apple Cider drink I've ever had! They only have 2 locations, this one in Taylor and another in Brownstown, so I wouldn't exactly call it a chain. All in all....I'd pick Pete's Place over Denny's any day of the week.

I've been here a couple times. It's much like what Jessica says- good if you're in a "Denny's" kind of mood, but I like Denny's more. The menu here is very large and gives you a lot of variety. It is sort of a chain restaurant because I believe they have one or two other restaurants nearby. The decor is cute in the inside. The portions are large and the prices are similar to Denny. Still..... Denny trumps Pete's Place

The food here is always good but the wait staff can be pretty Slow. I have been here a few different times and the service has been slower than it has in the past. If they didn't make me wait 20 mins to get a drink AFTER my meal had been served I may have given them more stars, I however am a stickler for good service and they are slacking. Also on this same trip my sister was served cold mashed potatoes and gravy, Nice. Your better than this Pete's get it together!

A friend took me here for the first time, and it is the perfect little diner to head to for cheap, filling food. Wait staff is very friendly, service is fast. I love the grilled cheese and tuna melt, however, the reason to go here is the curly fries....My entire office staff loves them. Super good. Never a wait for a table when I have been there. Only complaint i have is that they have a ton of soups, yet NONE seem to be vegetarian friendly. Most have bacon, ham, etc. in them, even when it could be left out.

When you're in that "Dennys" sort of mood...Forget Dennys and go to Petes Place instead. I like that it's not a chain restaurant, and the food is pretty good. It's your basic all American comfort food kicked up a notch, lots of soups, salads and sandwiches. I had the Chicken Greek salad and the Chicken Lemon Rice soup, both were pretty good. The decor is kind of cute and kitchy and they also have a decent variety of coffee drinks, since it's also a coffee house. It's kind of a place to go to when you don't feel like thinking about where to go, and it has free wi-fi, so that's a bonus.

Horrible food service and anything else they offer. They are still in service and I don't know how!!! There was salt in the sugar pourer. We ordered the turkey avocado club something or other, and hamburger. The turkey sandwich came out with only lettuce tomato and mayo. No sign of avocado or the main ingredient...TURKEY. Ummm hello. And not only did the chef not put turkey but the waitress never even noticed. You serve food...this is your job. And the burger...your better off getting a better burger at Wendy's. During the duration of our meal the table next to us had problems with their food also. And the table behind us got up mid meal and walked out. Ate like 2 bites of food...ran for the hills! Something with Pete's just isn't right..,don't bother trying to figure it out.

Stopped in here for a quick burger. Looks like they have a huge beer selection but I was only drinking soda this time Ordered the bacon cheese burger. This is a 1/2 lb burger. It was huge. I could not finish it. Ordered medium and it was one of the juiciest burgers that I have had in a long time. Knocked a star off for the cheese. They just threw a slice of American on the top. Lastly, it could have used a little more seasoning when put on the grill to add in the flavor. Overall good and would return if I back this way. Nikki who took care of us was very nice and checked on us just the right amount of times.

Food is good. Beer selection is great. Wait staff has always been good for me. Food takes a bit. BUT...I consistently have dirty glassware (lip stick on glass once, food crust, etc). They have been good to get new glassware but I've had the luck of it happening every time. Unfortunately burned me out from going back for now.

I was a little hesitant walking into the place the other day but the friend i was with said it was decent so i placed some faith and took a seat. The beer selection was awesome (four different short's brews on tap) and the happy hour specials were not bad either. I ordered the dinty moore sandwich with fries and a house salad. The salad was incredibly fresh and the croutons were really tasty. The sandwich was also delicious, however they put on a lot more slaw than corned beef, I get really ocd about ratios when it comes to sandwiches. Another minus was the pop music they were blasting. Granted we were seated right under a speaker but I had to raise my voice a little just to talk to my friend sitting right across from me so he could hear me over the song "toxic" by brittany spears. Oh well. Our server was very kind and was quick with our orders. All in all i enjoyed the place and I would recommend it.

I've been critical of Pete's Place in the past and swore off revisiting. That changed when they expanded their restaurant to include a bar area with 40 taps. I've visited several times and always sit at the bar. There are a few TVs and music playing as well. The beer prices are reasonable, ranging between $4.50 to $7 depending on ABV. They'll also fill growlers if you want some beer to go. For those who like saving cash, Pete's Place has a pretty good Happy Hour: Monday through Friday from 4-6pm and 9 - close every day. You'll score $1 off craft pints, $1 off large domestics, $3 house wines, $3 wells, $5 signature martinis and half off appetizers. We've ordered food a few times with delicious results. I'm happy to be a Pete's Place customer now.

Amazing place!! Tons for beer on tap, craft beer at the best prices, and only $3 flights!! Great happy hour specials and appetizers. We went on a Saturday night so some of the beers were out but the waitress made great recommendations for us. Needs to expand! Go after 8 and you'll get a seat right away. We're definitely going back!

First I want to say I LOVE Pete's Place in Brownstown on Telegraph. We decided to try the Taylor location today and really wish I had gone back to Brownstown. We did come in just after lunch rush as tables were emptying out so maybe it was a "rest" time. It took forever to see service and after finally getting our iced tea (which was never refilled entire time) we waited another 20 minutes to give our order for Cobb salads. The salads were not up to par today. Chicken looks great in my pix but was so dry from overcooking as was the HB egg. Chicken was impossible to cut. Bacon was sadly very limited. And the lettuce was very wet. After saying all that I can still say the salad had good flavor, just disappointed in what I come to expect from Pete's. Going to stick to the smaller Pete's.

I haven't actually dined in at Pete's Place in years- so I figured it was time for me to update my review. I went in as a group of 4 on Saturday night during March Madness after 5p. Suprisingly, there wasn't a wait at the door and we were sat quickly. Server provided us with their updated draft list, and I was quick to order the perogis for the table. These are by no means Polish level perogis- and they are fried, so they could just be from a box, but something fried and dipped in ranch tastes good to me! Of course, I over-ordered as usual- however, my soup and salad were tasty- they always get that right. Our main courses were too large for all of us (as usual) and we ended up stuffed. After dinner, we had ordered a pitcher of margaritas- which was a carafe full of ice and then the drink poured over top. They also had given us 4 glasses, also filled with ice. The drink was okay, but the amount of ice between our glasses and the carafe probably watered down the drink a good bit. Even though Pete's Place wasn't busy for a Saturday night, the server was eager to drop our check, so we ended up just going somewhere else for more drinks/food.

Awful! The breakfast was TERRIBLE and overpriced! Dry, over-cooked scrambled eggs and sausage. My husband and mother ordered over-easy eggs, and received eggs that were over-hard. I can see why they are advertising on their outside sign for a cook....the one who cooks breakfast needs to go!!! It took 1/2 hour to get our food for 4 people. The place wasn't even busy during breakfast, and I can see why. It was by far, the WORST breakfast I have ever had. No wonder the waitress never came by to ask how things were, she probably knew the answer...ABYSMAL!! We will NOT return....BLECH!!!

The first thing I must say is the service is very slow and be prepared to ask a few times for the server to correct your order. Many of the waitresses also have bad attitudes especially the head waitress/manager. She has been there for years and is probably related to the owner. Regardless they need to cut her loose. Management sets the tone for the employees and the tone here desperately needs to change. With that being said, the food is pretty good and in generous portions. Their bean and ham soup is excellent and sandwiches are very good as well. They also offer michigan craft beer selections and a decent happy hour mon-fri 4-6pm. They only draw back is the service, which starts with management. I think if they brought in a new manager that things could turn around. No one likes a waitress with a bad attitude with mediocre service. That is why I gave a 3 star rating.

Takes forever to get help, and for a place that says they have a ton of beer on tap is a joke, I asked for your simple Bud light and they said they were out, then i asked for a Sam Adams and again they were out. Are u kidding me. Hell we went to Applebee's and i ordered my Sam Adams, and got great service for my food lol. The place is a joke and over priced with horrible staff. Nice looking place though, lol

Where can you get a tasty dinner that includes both soup and salad? Here! Reasonably priced food. I went here before the remodel and after. The only reason I am knocking off one star is because it's suffering from an identity crisis. The menu is "home cooking" but their alcohol menu is "uber trendy". That's not a criticism on the quality of food, just that kielbasa and sauerkraut or ravioli doesn't match with craft beer and fancy martini. The problem here is that both sides are equally good, and who knows, if they upped their food game, it might ruin what they have. Cookies are yummy. Dessert is good. Breakfast is good. Dinner is good. Think of the food menu as two-three notches above Rams horn. Served with beer from Atwater brewing or Bells'. Odd, right?

Went to Pete's Place for dinner with a friend. Started off with a Dark Horse Raspberry Ale draft beer. They have a full bar and tons of beers of draft to choose from. I ordered a patty melt deluxe and chose fries and a side salad. The patty melt was so juicy and tasty. The bread was grilled to perfection. The fries were light and crispy. I would go back again. On Thursday from 8-11pm they have open mic and live music. Fun place for dinner and drinks.

I'm fairly certain the food all came from the freezer, with a brief stop in the fryer. They do have 40 beers on tap, though it seems that they were chosen for price from distributer, not taste or variety. Stay. Away.

Would give no stars if I could. Ordered a broccoli soup and a medium rare steak. Steak comes out medium well and very dry. Broccoli soup was beyond watered down and service was horrible. My father ordered a burger which off the bat of getting it he told me it tasted beyond uncooked. Never coming again.

This is one of my all time favorite places to get a drink and a good meal with friends. it is one of more popular places to eat in Taylor and for good reason. The owner expanded the restaurant to include a full bar and a good range of craft beers to choose from. The soup is really good and the highlight when I come in. I also love their burgers and sandwiches simply awesome however, a surprise for me was the crab cakes or crab cake sandwich it was awesome!!! I highly recommend trying the place out!

I am so glad they expanded into more than the restaurant. Their food is delicious. I love the decor. But the addition of the craft beer bar was genius. Thanks Courtney! They still have the same great food menu (I recommend a salad - they are huge and fresh) and a large beer menu. With tvs, great booths and high top tables and the traditional restaurant, this place has everything you need!

I use to love coming here for their yummy loaded potato soup and ranch soup salad. I've never seen a place put so much dressing on their salads! Since the remodel, the service has suffered. From high school girls without time management to not caring at all. You get your food right at point of wondering what's taking so long, half the food is cold but no one to tell cause your server is no where to be found. My husband waited 25 minutes for carry out soup and coffee. I think he was so confused he would have waited another 25 but instead he talked to the manager. I personally would have gotten my money back and left but he wanted me happy. Such a bummer cause the place is so cute and centrally located between friends and family but we have decided not to support the flaws anymore. I hope they work out the kinks!

We decided to try a place we hadn't been to yet so we headed out in time for happy hour. I question why they hand you a clipboard with their beer list that shows stuff they don't have on tap yet, and there's no prices for any of their liquor on their beer list or their liquor list. We ordered the pirogi which were deep fried instead of normally fried, making them have zero flavor and they were overly crispy. My girlfriend ordered the malibu chicken grinder with the sauce on the side; she got no sauce on the side, the chicken was overly dry and the bread was so overly hard she couldn't bite into it. I got the tuna melt and it was just generic; the fries were really bland as well. I had a red apple sangria which barely tasted at all of the red apple schnapps, but outside of that I've had better. The best part of the meal was easily the soup of the day, which was really good, so I'm not sure what else was going on. Our waitress was super nice though, so my only real complaint on the waitstaff was when we left there was someone behind the counter up front, and TWO people at the welcome station and not a single person said goodnight to us. This really wasn't a good first time experience and we're not sure we'll ever come back.

We've been here more than a dozen times and it's pretty decent. The Good: - The beer selection is awesome. There's a ton of craft beers from Michigan and beyond. Also, the wait staff is trained on the beers so they are usually fairly knowledgeable. - The homemade chips are pretty good, though occasionally you get a soggy batch - Yummy breakfast foods The Bad: - standing at the entrance and being ignored by every server walking by for 5-10 minutes when it's not even busy. A simple "We'll be right with you" goes a long way - The service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's fine, other times it takes a miracle to find your waitress and get a refill or your check The Average: - The food is just so-so most of the time. It's nothing that we typically crave. The thing that really brings us back is the beer selection. - There are multiple tv's on the bar side of the restaurant, but all of them seem to be at an awkward viewing angle. Prepare yourself for a stiff neck later.

Went to Petes place to meet 10 ladies 9am last saturday to start our weekend festivities (we scheduled a reservation) prior to coming. I was about 10 minutes late and when i got there - no one even had a drink yet. The waitress was awful, no personality, no motivation - she FINALLY brought their drinks and i ordered mine and we said we'd like to order and wanted get on the road for our trip ... it seemed as if she disappeared and at least 1/2 hour until I went up to the kitchen and asked for someone to find her so we could order already ... we finally ordered food came up in ample time since there were 10 of us ... but not impressed with the food, i had basic breakfast - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and wheat toast - the wheat bread was good and the rest was mostly simply just palatable, small portions and i didn't even finish it. As for the rest of the girls - comments were that their meals were bad and next time we def. need to go elsewhere. In addition, as soon as we got our food we requested the bill (so there was no holdup) Seriously, we had finished eating completely prior to even getting a bill - we got out 2 HOURS LATER ... UGH .... not ever going back! BYE BYE PETE

I just tried to reserve a breakfast/brunch time meal for tomorrow (a Sunday) for 25 people, knowing they have the "banquet type room" off to the side. I was disappointed to find out that they wouldn't take reservations for more than 12 people, which I find ridiculous considering the last two times I was there they had an entire little league and some other group of people in there. I was told we could walk in but there's no guarantee that we could be seated. Very disappointing since I was the one that suggested the restaurant and frequently got carry out on summer Fridays & Saturdays. Needless to say I won't patronize them anymore nor will I suggest that it's a place to go.

I really enjoy Pete's Place, my friends and I like to come here for trivia on Wednesday nights. The Happy hour specials are good, food tastes wonderful, I love those $3 mix drinks since they have Mountain Dew (a lot of beers on taps as well for those who roll that way).

Greasy and unprofessional everything. Management and the owner pete are 50x more rude and immature than the middle school/high school aged girls who ruin your lunch with their drama to each other. I feel like I'm eating in a school cafeteria. The food just isn't worth coming back. After 2 visits and even their homemade chips making me sick to my stomach from pools of grease on each soggy chip. If that's what you put as a side on almost every dish. ....why is it so disgusting?

First time back since they expanded and added the bar area. We've always liked the food but we don't normally come because we've found the service lacking. We went for lunch on St. Patrick's day; we figured it was a good place for corned beef and cabbage without the drunks. There was what looked like a normal lunch crowd when we got there, almost full, but a couple of empty tables. It filled out pretty quickly after we got there and a lot of people came in and left without being seated, the food was so slow there was really no turnover on the tables for a lunch rush. I got a call right after we sat down, so I can accurately say it was an hour from the time we sat down until our food arrived, the person that arrived right before us paid his bill and left before we got our food. I could hear the waitresses apologizing to the tables around us that the kitchen was behind (or apparently based on who was served when just sending out orders at random), I did the soup and sandwich special, which was good; my wife did the corned beef and cabbage, which was bland and only contained one sliver of potatoes. The waitress did get her some extra potatoes and discounted our bill, but we probably won't be back. The only redeeming quality was the beer list, but even that seemed over priced. I've heard they bought the bar next door and are planning another expansion, but if they don't get the kitchen straightened out they will have a lot more problems.

The service at this location is a joke. The girls are to busy talking among themselves and what there plans are for the weekend. Food is never hot and needs to be sent back to be warmed up and there has been times where somehow our order has been lost and had to ask the waitress what happen. The prices are high and portions are small .

I've been eating here since I was kid. They have awsome food. You must have their loaded baked potato soup! Love their buffalo Cobb salad too. Unfortunately their wait staff SUCKS! I meet my husband here at least once a week for lunch. We've stood waiting to be seated for up to 10 min while countless wait staff walk by. Once seated and you've eaten, it takes forever to get your bill...it's hard when your on your lunch hour. I will keep coming back because they do have good food..but man, they need better waitresses.

I used to eat at Pete's Place years ago before they upgraded the restaurant and enlarged the dining area. Service and food was good back then. Wish I could say the same now. I went there with my mother shortly before the new year. The restaurant seemed busy but wasn't packed. We had to wait 10-minutes before being seated while looking at empty tables. Staff walked by without saying a word. There didn't appear to be a hostess. One woman finally mumbled something and walked away. After being seated, we placed our order. Two salads and soup. After waiting 30-minutes for two salads and soup I'm sure was already prepared and just had to be dipped into a bowl, I asked one of the waitresses to flag ours down so I could get an update on our food. I saw her approach our waitress and tell her. She passed through the dining area 3-times and never stopped at our table. In addition, she must of had a cold. I saw her wipe her nose with the back of her hand. That was our hint to leave; will never return to this restaurant again.

On our lunch break my boyfriend and I came to try this out for the first time. We ordered the Crab cakes and baked Mac & Cheese that came with soup and salad. The salad was just bland regular salad nothing bad nothing horrible. We ordered the soup of the day mushroom soup. I only regret not ordering a bowl! It was very delicious and the mushrooms were big and succulent! Very good soup. The baked mac & cheese was delicious! The sauce was wonder the crispy topping delicious and the bits of hickory smoked bacon was delightful and flavorful highly recommend!!! The crab cales werent horrible but I wouldnt order them again they were more like fried crab patties. Ill still be on the hunt for those lumps and textured type of crab cakes like they have in Canada ..... Great service everyone seems to be super friendly and the restaurant itself has beautiful cozy decor very clean very friendly.. Stop by if you havent you wont be disappointed. I will definitely be back esp tp hit the bar the selection looks great!

Stopped to have dinner here a few nights ago, was seated and nobody came to our table for about 15 minutes. The waitress walked past us several times and didn't even take our drink order. Had to get my my own beer not once but twice waited for 28 mins to get our food then when the food came it was cold and uncooked. They ran out of chip so the waitress decided to choose something of her choice instead of mine choice. When I asked to speak to a manager come to find out it was our waitress. What a joke. She handled the situation very piss poor... Never again.

There is a lot to like about Pete's Place. I went there a couple of Friday evenings and there was live music, a singer with a guitar, both were pretty good. They also have painting classes a couple days a month. The $5.99 burgers are superior to almost all other bar-and-grill burgers I've tried. I know every place claims that, but Pete's Place is the real deal! The half off happy hour appetizers are awesome! Happy hour is 4-6 and 9 til close btw. The crab cakes, chicken quesadillas, and sweet potato fries are just amazing, especially at happy hour price. Service is pretty fast and the décor is nice. A decent variety of beers. Free Wifi. As far as waitresses go, this has always been hit or miss, never anything in between for some odd reason. You could get an attentive, cheerful, efficient pregnant waitress or a ditzy, curt, customer-service challenged dimwit for a waitress. (sorry, just being honest).

One of the worst places we have been too. We went because they were having a Great lakes Brewery takeover. Well the place was filled with small children who were crying and screaming, the bar area is not a place for children. Now on to the food I ordered the Sourkraut and Kielbasa , when it arrived it was burnt, if you have ever had burnt souerkraut you would know how bitter it tasted, the waitress was very nice and had them remake it and what do ya know it came burnt I guess that is the way they serve it so I sucked it up and ate the mashed potatoes and the garlic bread, what a waste of money. The Hubbs ordered the double cheese and bacon burger, she asked how would you like it cooked , he says medium that thing came and it was two dried out hockey pucks. well the beer takeover was a flop too, they were advertising games and swag, at 7:10 we asked if they were here and she says oh he is talking to some people he knows, we finally left at 8;15 and he was still talking with the same people no games no swag. There was not anyone that worked there who knew about craft beers so I guess we won't be going back or referring any friends.

Good food nice environment great prices diverse menu . Visiting from out of state and would recommend to people. Has over 20 craft beers. Can take home a growler to go. Really good chili but if you want spicy ( I don't ) it is very mild. AWESOME turkey burger with fries.

Used to have amazing food, now it all sucks. My burger tasted like it was rolled in a pound of pepper, and it was VERY VERY greasy. I went in with my family, there were 5 of us and none of us were happy with our food. Definitely sad to say I won't be coming back.

  • Daron D.

  • Jennifer S.

  • Charlie B.

Go figure.

I absolutely love this place. I don't get here as often as I like. Nonetheless, this is my #1 restaurant.
