Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Almond chicken yum. Lots of food, inexpensive with plenty of left overs.

I wish they had a HALF STAR rating! We ordered from there last night. I ordered the "Happy Family", but to me, it was the most pathetic family I had EVER seen! My food was soggy, cold and it only had ONE SHRIMP! I found an abundance of gelatinous, squishy logs of some sort of protein that they claim to be crab! My husband actually, physically GAGGED when he put it in his mouth! I ordered the Chicken fried rice for my 5 year old (her fav) and what she received was rice (I think) swimming in grease and soy with HAM! I wouldn't let my baby eat that! I've never seen fried rice that I could barely distinguish between it and rat shit! Here's their "RESOLUTION": I called. I politely explained my concerns and she ARGUED WITH ME, telling me that I (already in my PJ's at 9PM) needed to bring the entire meal, untouched back up there for any type of correction to be made!! WTF?!? When I told her that it was an impossibility, she told me "too bad". I then responded with a "I will never order from here again" and she proceeded to hang up on me. REALLY?!? If the owners are reading this: There are OTHER Chinese restaurants in the area, you have not monopolized the market on Asian food. PEOPLE WILL NOT RETURN AND YOU WILL LOSE MONEY.

Okay, so the interior is dated. It's looked the same for the 25 years that I have been coming here. It's clean. It's very clean. The kitchen looks clean (at least when I have peeked inside). The food is solid. It's tasty, it's a good price. Their Dragon Egg Rolls are worth the trip! Everything that family and friends have gotten has been good. Served hot. Served fairly quickly. It's a neighborhood place - nothing to impress, but reasonable food for a decent price.

I live close to this restaurant, and have eaten here through the years, and it was fairly good. The last couple of years the food has went steadily downhill. Todays carry-out was awful, over-cooked, greasy, and the carton of sauce was put in the bag upside down, so it was all over everything, I won't go back!

This is the go to place for great food for cheap prices. You can get a full meal for two for under $10 and still have leftovers for later. The food is really good and the staff is very friendly. We go every other week. Whether it's dining in or taking to go, you know what your getting is going to be good. Highly recommend!!

Food not do good, service OK, furnishings old and drab. Avoid if possible.

My mom dragged me (I'm not kidding--she had me by the hair!) into this place next door to a bowling alley in Taylortown Mall this week. I'm still belching the MSG, folks. It was bad. The service was great, I must say. But that's it. I noticed that I didn't even care that there was a t.v. in the entry foyer on a low table or box--I already knew what I was in for. We started off with decent soup--mine was Wonton with a couple of tough greens thrown in for color, and Mom's was Egg Drop. They serve an entire bowl instead of a cup. They also served me some of those fried wonton strips to go in my soup. I expected cold, greasy, soft chips but was happy to find that they were none of the above and were, instead, crispy, fresh, and tasty in my soup (Mom stole most of them for her soup, though, even though her dumb Egg Drop soup doesn't require crispy wontons). After the soup we received egg rolls. I don't do egg rolls. Ever. Give me a fresh Vietnamese Salad Roll and I'm ecstatic, but don't ever bring me one of those scary, I-cannot-identify-what-I'm-ingesting egg rolls. Ever. Mom gobbled hers down, even dousing it with that pink gelatinous stuff in a bottle on our table, but then she also ordered coffee... For mains, Mom ordered the ubiquitous Almond Chicken with Fried Rice, and I opted for a mix of chicken, beef, and veggies in the 'Seczhuan' style. Right. I knew what was probably coming, but I was WRONG. I thought it would be insipid, overcooked, canned-mixed-with-a-few-sort-of-fresh-veggies with small portions of the two meats, drowning in bottled oyster sauce, but nooo, I also received a HUGE order of grease to go with my MSG. Gag. And That Rice. That Rice, That Horrible Rice. Anyone check the bacteria levels in it over the past 8 or more hours that it has been sitting in the cooker? Oh, and don't bother asking for chopsticks. They don't seem to know where they put them. (NOTE: Folks, my Detroit area YELP reviews are usually not very kind. But the thing is, I'm not like that! It's just that the Downriver area (and much of Detroit Metro in general, I am finding) needs to wake up and smell the food. Seriously. And if you want to see some of my more positive rants, check out my blog at: lakearenal.blogspot.com )

My favorite Chinese place downriver. Large portions for a great price. I don't dine in, so I have no complaints on the look of the interior, but we order two dinners and it's enough for 4 people.
