Lettuce wrap and Mongolian beef is an all time favorite. Excellent quality, freshness and consistency.

Take away order was delayed more than 30 minutes. That means more than 1 hour from online order to ready for take away. When I arrived home, the order was incomplete. You'd think that after waiting for a specific item to be made that they'd include the item that was the alleged cause of the delay. Called the restaurant to advise them of this lie and order inaccuracy. In doing so, I became a contestant in the "please hold" and "manager isn't available" game. So, I lost that round too. These guys appear skilled at avoiding customer confrontations. This is a valuable skill to have when you suck at customer service as well as this crew does. Filling out the receipt survey with a request to be contacted didn't help. At least they haven't contacted me after three weeks. Maybe they're backlogged with other customer complaints. Either that, or they've heard all of the other stories of wrong orders, shorted orders, and generally poor customer service and didn't need another from me. I've eaten and PW and PF Chang locations all over the country. I'm normally a fan of their food and service. Something about this location just doesn't seem right, In fact, it's all wrong. TL/DR: This Pei Wei location sucks.....

My boyfriend and I usually go to Chipotle but when the line was backed up to the back door and our stomachs were growling we decided to go a few places down and go to Pei Wei. Menu was posted digitally on a screen and paper and plastic menus at the counter. Lots of options. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. It had a spicy star next to the title but the cashier said it wasn't that spicy so I took her word for it and just opted for no scallions on my meal. They have original and small portion sizes. I decided on small size for $6.49. Even with getting a small it was still a pretty large portion and I had left overs. Chicken Pad Thai had tofu in it which I thought was different. Definitely added a different texture to the dish. Chicken was grilled/steamed and was simple. Lots of peanuts and egg noodles. Lots of seating. Excellent service. Hot steamy food. Definitely be back soon. Lots of food for a small price.

Tasty food. The young man (bus boy) who cleared our plates was extremely nice! He thanked us for coming in, said he hoped to see us again soon and told us to have a safe trip home! WOW!

We have gone here alot and the food quality seems to have gone down each time. This time my wife and i got pad thai beef and lettuce wraps as a carry out. The pad thai was terrible and congealed into a solid mass that formed to the bowl it came in. We attempted to rescue it by adding oil to it but is still didn't taste right. It was also topped with a lime which was miscolored and almost rotting. We also found that the lettuce wraps that we had ordered was missing the lettuce. Unfortunately this is a very similar experience to a few previous ones and we have taken Pei Wei off our list of possible restaurants.

The food was dry and bland, hardly any sauce on the Thai Dynamite and their version of General Tao's Chicken. Didn't even bother taking uneaten portion home. Lesson learned :(

Carry out NOT recommended. So after the last three visits with the same results I'm done. The appetizer's sit for 20 minutes and get cold. Sure we can warm up the spring rolls and put them back in to the Fryer to get all greasy and nasty!! My pad Thai noodles with steak was way overcooked but somehow I managed to gag it down. I don't think I'll be coming back to to waste any money on marginal food.

Mmmm Pei Wei. That sums it up. This place takes my money and turns it into a delicious reason to return. Sure it gets busy. Being in lakeside Circle it's just what you have to deal with. But I'll tell you what sirs-it's worth the wait. Everything here is so good. They also have sushi now (crunchy rolls). They look like little appetizers. I have not tried these but they look good. The lettuce wraps and the Mongolian beef are a must. I like spicy so I pile on scoops of the red hot sauce paste they keep in the jars at the condiment station. It's really good and can get really hot. But that's how I do it. And it's awesome. This place is so much better than PF Changs. They are the parent company of this quick service stop. It's the same food but way cheaper, faster and I feel so much more care is taken in the food prep. A+ for flavor and A+ for being consistent. You must try it.

I come here often. Usual day off take-out. First few times was perfect. Now, they always seem under staffed. Last 2 times as well as today, I waited at least 15 or more minutes than expected pick up time, only for a thing like carmel slaw or extra sauce on the side. 2nd time my food was cold. I respect their hard work, but they need 2 or more girls working in the box. Every time I wait it's because they take forever to give her my sides and she's so busy taking take-out and dining orders to bag it up for me

We wanted something fast and have been to Pei Wei before. 7 p.m. on a Monday night, not super busy, but food took 30 minutes, and it would have taken longer had i not spoken with the manager. Food was good, but took too long for pseudo fast food.

I like feel of the place its great for lunch, It was a very clean well maintained establishment. The pop machines impressed me... everything was high-tech. It reminds me of cafeteria style. You walk in place your order, Pay, get your silver wear and drink then the server brings your food to your table. kind of like concept chuck e cheese but not.. I didn't know this going in it confused me so I wanted to post so others don't just stand there looking lost like I did.

I thought the place was pretty good, albeit a little pricey for a fast food Asian experience. But not as pricey as, say, P.F. Chang's. The ginger broccoli chicken is really good, and I had crab wontons with it. They were very good and came with a tasty dipping sauce. A lot of seating in there, food is pretty quick. Small parking lot though.

I truly have mixed feeling on this place and each of the dishes. Not just my personal likes and dislike, its quality and quality of the food. Yes it's cheaper then some and its quick but the portions are small on the meats. But the biggest issues the consistency of the food and I think that the management sometimes cut corner to meet the company numbers. Overall a good price for good food. TOO much salt in the food. And a nice staff. Still all in all a safe and good place for not a lot of money

I had work from 12-8pm and didn't bring dinner. I drove the 3 minutes from my work to this place. It reminds me of Noodle Company. Same format but with Asian food. I have been craving Chinese food especially lettuce wraps. I order a chicken lettuce wrap and it was only a little over $7! I grabbed a seat and waited about 5 minutes for my food. It was pretty good for 7 dollars! At a real Chinese restaurant it would definitely be more. It had good flavor without using their additional side of sauce. It was a bit saucy to begin with. That's what Americans love, Sauce! Overall, it was good for the price. Like someone else mentioned the place can be a bit sticky. There are bathrooms in the back. I will come back if I was starving and poor.

The music nowadays is played TOO loud at this location. This used to be not the case at all. This is a dine in place and not a club. We could not even hear each other across the table. and it was the middle of lunch hour. We felt like we walked in an Abercrombie store. Food was ok and priced right for the quality.

I rather pay the extra dollar or two and get the same dish from P.F. Chang's. It's not bad, it's just become a kind of bland experience overtime. It's like it was a fad that everyone I know and myself have just lost a taste for maybe.

Huge drop in quality across the board with this chain. It used to be tasty and fresh (seeming anyway) now the good is very greasy and bland. The viet chicken salad roll was hard and had clearly passed its shelf life. When I asked for a new one the young man started tearing it apart in front of me....yikes! Bad idea buddy, very unsanitary and you're essentially calling me a liar.

This place is a go to for us for lunch. Ordering online for pick up is really convienient since you can put in an order for lunch in the morning and tell them what time you're going to pick it up. I wish that they had more gluten-free options. I can't eat shrimp so my option is sweet and sour chicken unless I want spicy food. I guess it's a good thing that I like sweet and sour chicken.

Wow - Usually I am hesitant to go to chains/franchises - but Pei Wei pleasantly surprised me! I was buzzed from a few drinks beforehand so I expected good food that hit the spot! My girlfriend got Pad Thai w/Chicken and I got Orange Peel Shrimp. My brother got Kung Pao Chicken. We got delicious food - pretty much to the EXACT same quality and taste as P.F. Chang's for half the price. And with counter service - you can just order you're food and eat in peace without waiters/waitresses bugging you and expecting a tip. So this means 2 folks can eat for under $15. Easily! Did I say that for the price - the food was delicious? Chinese usually tastes greasy and low quality - but Pei Wei (and P.F. Chang's) do a good job at making it taste fresh and good.
(4)
David M.
Pei Wei is a decent cheaper meal than PF changs and when you have kids, you would rather enjoy Changs without them. Pei Wei is a good spot to stop and eat when you have the whole family. Food is pretty good and the recent menu additions are very delicious as well. Quick Service, not too expensive and if your kids get a little loud the folks without kids won't look at you with a shifty eye because its cheaper and less formal than Changs.

I'm not sure of my taste for Chinese food has changed, but this place literally tastes like a broken down fast food version of PF Chang's. I ordered the Orange Peel Chicken with brown rice. The chicken pieces were tiny and over-cooked and the rice was dry, NOT sticky like it should be. I hate to say it, but I'm done with this place ! One too many poorly constructed, tasteless meals, in my opinion.

Horrible food. I want my money back. Worst chicken fried rice ever! Won ton soup tasted like flowers. Just horrible. Appetizers were served before entrees. A waiter went to help us out and put on a coat and left for the night. I will NEVER eat here again.

Let me preface this entire review by saying that I've eaten at Pew Wei several times before and I typically like it a lot, which is probably what saved this from a 1-star review. So I've recently said in a review that "basically all Thai food is good" and that "you can't really screw it up". With those thoughts in mind, I ordered the Thai Chicken Curry at Pei Wei. I know, I know, I probably should not have ordered a Thai item from a menu that we typically think of as "chinese", but a good curry was just what I was craving at that time. I've learned my lesson. The curry was basically tasteless, no spice, no sweetness from the coconut milk, even the vegetables in the dish were bland and undercooked. It was by FAR the worst Thai food and worst food that I've ever eaten at Pei Wei. Let this review serve as a warning to fulfill your Thai cravings at an actual THAI restaurant, not Pei Wei.

I wish I had come up with Krupa's line from her review "PEI WEI LESS THAN PF CHANGS!"... Simply Brilliant! Yes, Pei Wei offers many of PF Chang's meals at a great price. But let's put that into proper perspective (taxes included). 1) Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo - Medium: $6.36 2) Pei Wei (PF Chang's) Kung Pao Shrimp: $9.28 So for 3 bucks more I get over a dozen large shrimp, crispy pea pods, carrots and peanuts in great Kung Pao sauce and it's cooked just for me. Worth the difference in my book. Only problem is it's hard to drive while trying to work the chopsticks. So fast food sandwiches will always have a place with me (evidence the wrappers in my back seat). But for a few extra bucks and perhaps 10 minutes to spare, Pei Wei provides a great meal and a great value. And with 2, you get Fortune Cookie...

I used to go to Pei Wei all the time for lunch and dinner. The food was fast and great, and I like the atmospher of the place. Lately, the food has been going downhill; really disappointed by it. I ordered the Pei Wei Spicy chicken (my fav dish) and the sauce was literally burnt. Had to back. Ordered a salad, couldnt eat it because the salad turned out to be a soup because they added too much dressing to it. The last time I ordered the Pad Thai, wasnt cooked all the way, they fixed it and then the sauce was burnt again. The last several times I have walked out hungry still because I didnt eat much, or didnt eat at all there. I will not be returning anymore unless the quality will return.

We will NOT be back. I watched staff consistently wipe down tables with disgusting, dirty dish rags and used no cleaner spray. That explains why all the tables were sticky! When a bus boy saw me wiping down our own table, even before we ate, he didn't offer to clean the table. The plates on the tables all had pools of dishwater on them. We set aside dirty dishes that were on the table...this was before we even ate ( dishes dirty due to bad dishwasher) and the apathetic food runner didn't bother to take the obviously dirty dishes away. Food was over sauced and like others said...way too salty. Should have just ate mall Chinese food. The chain should be ashamed of this location... Bad recipes is one thing... Lazy staff and uncleanliness is inexcusable.

PEI WEI, is short for PEI WEI LESS THAN PF CHANGS! Seriously, it's pretty much the same exact menu as PF Changs at a fraction of the cost. I heart their Kung Pao Chicken and Lettuce Wraps, however, if you're on a budget and want to split a meal with someone, get any of the noodle dishes, it'll satisfy two normal palettes. Even though it's counter service, the ambiance of the place is still chill and cool with dim lighting and that contemporary Asian feel. I love this place b/c it lets you eat cheap without feeling cheap.... who else is down with that?

I've gone to Pei Wei many times. This particular one at least 3 times. I order something different off the menu every time and have never been disappointed. There's nothing authentic about this food, but it tastes darn good. Some of the highlights: 1. Crab wontons are crispy little pillows of creamy crabby goodness. 2. Dan Dan Noodles are tasty and have a little kick to them. 3. Thai Dynamite is fresh tasting with a solid level of heat from Sriracha. I ask for mine extra hot, usually with beef. Nothing mind blowing here, but the food is always good and fast. Sure it's a chain, but they are trying to make it appear otherwise with made to order dishes and friendly service. In a pinch, Pei Wei is a good choice.

If you are a fan of PF Chang's China Bistro, then you'll love Pei Wei Asian Diner. It's not your normal Chinese fast food joint, or cafeteria. You still wait in line to order your food and seek out a table to enjoy your lunch or dinner. There is no Waitstaff, Wine Steward, or a Maître 'D to serve your every desire. But if you want to have lunch or dinner in a clean, bright, airy dining room then Pei Wei Asian Diner is the place to go. All the orders are made to order and very similar, if not the same dishes offered at the higher priced PF Chang's chain of China Bistro's. After you place your order, you are given a number and within minutes, someone will deliver your tasty dishes to your table. I usually go for lunch and it's a great place to get delicious Pan-Asian food at great prices, in a casual environment.

Pei Wei is not my favorite Asian restaurant but when ever I do go I enjoy the atmosphere and the pad Thai. They are one of the few restaurants I know that offer pib soda to drink and they do have a very clean nice environment to eat in. Pei Wei deserves 4 stars :)

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Tasty food. Cheep prices. Open kitchen so u know its clean. I dont trust to many thai places unless i can see what there doing in the kitchen. I have never been dissapointed here. Always good.

Too much sodium. I drank so much water after the spicy Korean dish. Yuk.....
