Used to be 5, but now 3.5 stars. However, I'm rounding up because of a few things. Pros: +Still good prices +Nice staff +Thick cuts of fish in rolls +Nice presentation of food +Variety of food available. Cons -Sushi rice is not good, far too dry. -Smells too much like food inside. They need better ventilation in the restaurant. In a lot of my reviews, I've mentioned the importance of making rice right in any sushi restaurant. Why is rice important? Many of the sushi places order their supplies from the vendor True World Foods ( trueworldfoods.com ), so their fish quality is relatively similar (unless they order different cuts of the same fish, like tuna and tuna belly). They are also required to keep their foods frozen (for cost reasons), and their thawed food at certain temperatures (for health code reasons), so the main thing that separates sushi places apart is their rice. Sushi rice should not be too dry when it is served, but soft and yielding in your mouth. It should also have a touch of sweet and sourness to it (sugar and rice vinegar mixed in). Sometimes, it may be too wet, but only if it is freshly made, since the vinegar has not had much time to be absorbed into the rice yet. Naruto's rice now is too dry, not sure if this was a problem when i last visited, but it is now. Maybe a new chef made this batch, but i'm sure they wouldn't trust something as important as rice to a rookie. So I'm left confused and turned off by my experience today. Hopefully they will change their rice-making methods. Also, the smoked salmon is too "smokey", but this is personal preference.

Most of my experiences have been great... Besides a few times when they over charged me, also another time when the shrimp wasn't fresh it was hard and cold.
(3)Hillary F.
The meet up place for all of my friends in the area! Good deals on basic rolls and if you get enough they even deliver it to you on a bridge or wooden ship! Try the tiger, Hollywood, or even American Dream.
(4)Subu M.
Best sushi joint ever!!! Just the right amount of kick in their spicy sauce. Who cares if the ambience and decor isn't that great! I could eat 2 pounds of that sushi! I have favorites but I'd rather you go and find out all the awesome varieties. And of course the name is perfect for this place as well =^.^=
(5)Lisa N.
Went here for dinner on a sushi whim. Ordered seaweed salad and two rolls. The rolls were 50% off due to a January schedule. I was hesitant at first due to the discount but I was surprised when the rolls came out. They were awesome! This restaurant didn't skimp at all. This was a great find!
(4)Sandy V.
First time I came, 5 stars. Last time, 2 stars. Until I get a better experience (if I let that happen) this will sit at 3 stars. The last meal I ordered, the salmon skin roll I got was disgusting. Nearly inedible. Service was also a bit slow and unfriendly that day. It's a shame because the time before this, the salmon skin roll was amazing and the server was great. Unfortunately I'm not willing to keep taking chances on potentially gross food and bad service.
(3)Samantha S.
Absolutely love this place! 5 stars every time. The service is amazing the sushi is amazing and the soup/salad is served perfectly. Definitely recommend over all the sushi places I've been too! (and that's A lot!)
(5)Misty J.
They have weekly roll specials that are a really good deal. Especially if you like the wacky rolls with tons of stuff in them. It's not a very big space and there isn't much for ambience but it's clean and the staff is friendly. Overall a very good option!
(4)Melissa S.
Sushi was warm and fish didn't taste fresh. Place was also not super clean. I am on vacation visiting family and often use Yelp reviews to find places. Im disappointed I followed the reviews this time.
(2)Sonia Y.
Sushi was good. Presentation was very nice. All the rolls came on a boat which was pretty cool. Prices were pretty standard. Not cheaper than other places. But it wasn't the best sushi I've ever had. Besides the roll that was fried all the other ones were kind of dry, rice & fish.
(4)Lylian D.
I have only been to Naruto during their 6-10pm, Mon-Sat, half-off select special rolls deal! With that said, the prices for the delicious and amazingly presented sushi rolls is a great value. My favorites are the TNT, Flower, and Christmas Rolls. They serve all orders with complimentary miso soup, salad, & tea too! The servers and waitresses are super nice and they were attentive to our needs. I had to order a sushi platter for my dad's birthday and it was made in less than 20 minutes. My dad and mom who are picky eaters loved the sushi and were very impressed. I will be back here to try the sashimi and nigiri. The half-off special rolls deal is too good to pass up though!
(4)Brittany L.
Naruto Sushi is by far my favorite place to get sushi! They're so pleasant and friendly! Their menu is great! The choices are a-plenty even if you've gone before. I can't eat too much rice at once and the chef at Naruto will happily wrap your rice rolls in rice paper instead. There are A few places that will tell you they cannot do this because of the way sushi is prepared. At Naruto, they go out of their way to please you. Everything is fresh and nice and cold or perfectly steamy when needed. I recommend Naruto to any sushi lovers out there. (I cannot speak for their hot meals save for Miso!)
(5)Michael W.
Specialty rolls are the way to go here, they have specialty rolls on the white board by the sushi bar that rotate every month and are 40-50% off. Get the soup and salad with lunch since the specialty rolls can be a little expensive sometimes. This place is small and can get pretty packed during lunch. They bring dry erase markers and laminated sheets for you to mark how many of what rolls you want as well. Soy sauce comes in a syrup container and kind of throws you off at first.
(4)Dick E.
really good place but for some reason it seemed like it was better before
(4)Erin S.
Had a nice chat with the waiter and chef. Guessing the construction has gotten business slow, but that has resulted in very fast, friendly service and some great specials. I had a California and spicy tuna roll. Both were well constructed and flavor balanced. The chef also sent out a complimentary cucumber and fried shrimp roll that was an interesting juxtaposition- I think he was just playing with the food :)
(4)Andrew Z.
Tried a large variety on several occasions. Professionally prepared and staged nicely. Very good taste and freshness. The bad - does not serve alcohol and place is very small and cramped inside. Nowhere good to stand when paying the bill. If they changed their location to a larger store, it may give them 4.5 stars. As for going out on a date or special occasion, you may want to skip this place and go to the many 4/5 star Sushi Bars that have a better atmosphere. They are in Rochester, Troy, Ferndale etc... Since I have been to much nicer Sushi places that deserved 5 stars, I can only rate this place a 3.5. This place is great for call in and take out but don't come early, you will just be in the way.

I love trying new sushi places so when a friend of mine wanted to go out for sushi, I told him to pick because I'm very bias and always choose Asahi. My friend told me that he comes to Naruto with a few of his friends and that they have sushi 1/2 off specials. 1/2 off sushi specials on the daily?! WHAT!? That's crazy talk. Needless to say I was excited to go on a new sushi adventure. Naruto is a very cozy small place and the staff was extremely helpful. My friend told me that the brain behind Naruto goes on facebook and whoever follows them can vote on which sushi rolls they would like to be on the 1/2 off menu. Again my mind was blown. An actual small time restaurant that uses social media to hear what the people want? Restaurants should take note because I instantly wanted to become their facebook friend to place my input. (Actually I will do this sometime today.. I totally had the itis after leaving this place and went straight to bed). For those of you who do not know the slang term itis: it is a drowsy or sleep effect linked to digesting large meals. (The feeling you have right after Thanksgiving dinner).. Use itis in a sentence today. Anyways.. I was surprised to see that the rolls on the 1/2 off menu were actually legit rolls. For sushi lovers around, I feel that most sushi places will put the California roll on their 1/2 off menu. I may get that if I need an option for a 8th roll to digest in one sitting but it's not what I usually order. All the rolls on the 1/2 off menu are giant, fried, crunchy, full of goodness rolls. I was very very excited. Soup and salad come with your meal and it's delicious. The bowls that the salad come in are very unique and big. We decided to 'roll' with the Dynamite, Tsunami, Naruto Crunchy and Tiger roll. All amazing, fresh, huge and spicy. I was impressed with the size of these sushi rolls. Let's just say I brought my mom the leftovers which were the massive end pieces in all tempura rolls and I made a joke that she was eating a sushi lollipop. She for real thought it was a new thing. "I never heard of a sushi lollipop".. no mom I was just calling it that because it's massive and you can literally hold the tail end of the shrimp like a stick.. oh mother... Again, for all sushi lovers in the area, try this place! And become their friend on facebook. I'm about too!!
(4)Robert P.
Here was the place I first tried sushi. The service was speedy and the staff was friendly. I ordered the Touchdown. It was delicious, and I wanted more. It's definitely worth your money.
(5)Michelle M.
I always try to come here for sushi and for my fave spicy shrimp udon. They give you free miso soup and house salad with ginger dressing. Every month they have a promo for half off sushi (select items only) on weekdays. Food is good.and friendly staff.
(4)Rosalee N.
Went into this place and questioned the quality due to a subpar dining area. Man was I wrong. The food was decent, prices were great. I will be eating here again for sure.
(4)Terry R.
Visiting from out of town I found this place for lunch. The lunch bento boxes are phenomenal! Great prices
(5)Andreana A.
Cannot believe this amazing of a sushi place is so close! They have half off roll specials 6 days a week and is all so tasty. Plus the free soup and salad that come with it make this place a bargain I that will keep returning too whenever I'm craving some sushi goodness.
(5)Raynel Z.
I'm sorry but this was literally the worst sushi place I've ever been to. I ordered 6 rolls between my friend and I and all of them were disgusting, the rice tasted soggy and old and it was a complete waste of money. Do not recommend
(1)Michael G.
Worth the drive! Super good and super deal. This spot is a dedicated sushi bar and reminds me Toronto eats.
(5)Angie Z.
This place is disgusting. They have you order on laminated menus to save on paper which makes sense but not when the "chef" keeps constantly touching the order sheet while preparing your food without taking off his glove then touching your sushi. The laminated sheets are being passed around all day long from table to table. I can't believe they think it's acceptable to handle things this way. If you're going to serve sushi then you must at least have great rice. The rice that was used with the sushi was underdone and bland. The service was terrible-the moment the chef got our order he slapped the filthy laminated sheets on the counter in annoyance. I will never go back- save your time and your money and go to WOW.
(1)Ronda N.
Happy to finally have a good sushi joint near work. The bento box is inexpensive and a great way to sample a variety of items. Overall the food and service is okay....nothing spectacular.
(2)Lindsay K.
Best sushi around. Always have specials which make me try something new. A lot of times I will get all the rolls on special for a carry out. Service is great too!!!
(5)Kenny L.
Very good bento! The sushi is great also! I really the tempura sauce, and the people are very friendly. I finished off with the fatty tuna. I will be coming back here again.
(5)Crystal D.
I'm really impressed. I had some doubts at first, We ARE in Michigan. ( & When I ordered the green tea which was actually Lipton tea, lol. ) But, apparently every day after 6 P.M all rolls are HALF off. We got six rolls, all of which were pretty good, for $40! Needless to say; I'm stuffed..
(5)Crissandra S.
My go to place for sushi. You can't beat their half price monthly specials, which is what keeps bringing me back.Their rolls are nice and fresh and I love the waitstaff. If you are a wasabi fan like myself then I do recommend ordering extra because I have found it to be not as strong as I would like it to be.
(5)Kyle T.
Sam B. said the Dynamite Roll was excellent and I agree, but the TNT roll is DYN-O-MITE! But seriously, good sushi and specials. Miso soup and house salad came free when I spent $7 so that's good too.
(5)Nha V.
This place has cute atmosphere. Gives free soup and salad when you order over a certain amount per person. I thought the sushi here is ok. They have very creative rolls. I felt like both times I went, the sashimi was not fresh. Which is disappointing bc I love tuna! Maybe just mostly their tuna was bad, ,ah e old, but tuna should not be left out sitting to get that old. Also tried the other types of tuna and it wasn't fresh. Sushi, overall was ok, I wouldn't go here by choice.
(2)Kelly M.
First time for me having sushi... Must say it was delicious! Would go back... Reasonably priced.. In a strip mall and not much seating but all in all, great place!
(4)Erin K.
Yea! I good sushi place in the Warren/Sterling Heights area! Hopefully this one lasts. We went here the other day and ordered 6 different rolls. They were a little pricey, but ordering the rolls included soup and salad with your dinner, so I was willing to pay a little more for that. The sushi was very good and presented beautifully. We also order the deep fried avocado which was really good as well. At the end of our order, we also received cut up melon and orange slices and then free tempura cheesecake which was really considerate. I thought it might have been a thank you since we ordered so many expensive rolls on the menu. I would give this place 5 stars, but I am only giving 4 since the majority of the rolls are really big and battered and they don't seem to have a good of a variety of more simple/healthier rolls.
(4)Chelle L.
Please open one of these in St. Clair Shores or Roseville! We have MANY available spots!! AMAZING!! I love this place to bits! Excellent Suish, Udon, tempura Crab, Katsu, misou and even the ginger salad. I have to say hands down this has been one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been too. I loved it, they are very good on prices, everything is so filled with flavor and best of all, FRESH and great staff!
(5)Juliana M.
This place is just okay. For being close to home, i would go in a pinch but prefer my sushi kept colder. The decor is nice, prices were fair and service was good. No liquor license. The tables are funky and unique and there were a lot of people eating out later on a Thursday night.
(3)Scott S.
I love sushi, and put simply, this is the best sushi in town. I've been here several times for lunch and everything is very fresh and wonderful. I tend to stick to the combinations so I haven't had many of the great looking rolls, but judging by the other reviews they are likely wonderful as well. Service is excellent as well. I've always had a great experience.
(5)Lia K.
I got take out, and it was delicious! The only thing I didn't like we're the shittake mushroom rolls, but that was more of a personal preference. The rolls were big & tasty, if definitely recommend this place.
(5)Lisa Y.
Great, delicious sushi!!!! It was fast, service was very pleasant!!!! I love that it is close to home. I would definitely return again. I love the discounts, and fresh sushi.
(5)N S.
Nice quick stop for sushi if you're craving it. More like a cafe so don't come here if you are looking for a restaurant experience. Such great deals. Free salad and soup with purchase of over 7 dollars... something around that amount. TNT is my favorite roll. Spicy/sweet.
(4)Bonnie S.
I love Naruto- the service is always great and fast. The Sushi is so fresh and delicious! This place is awesome.
(5)Tony M.
Got to say best sushi I have had in a while. Have been going to then a lot in last year, usually multiple orders from work. But have to say the new policy for extra soy sauce is absolutely ridiculous. Store policy is now they charge $.50 for extra soy sauce per cup. They don't even fill the cups, it takes three of their cups to yield a full one. Great sushi, but lost my business and that of my coworkers for their policy. You don't get charged extra for dining in, so why now on take out. At least fill the cups up. Time to find a new favorite.
(3)Power Y.
the food was good for the price and the wait wasn't so long... The location is nice because it's in a plaza where nothing seems too havoc... Our waitress was nice and kind also and parking was good for a hot summer day
(5)Andrea H.
My first experience there was a random Tuesday night after catching a movie with my man. We love sushi/trying new places and for every time we pass by this plaza to MJR, never seen it before. So we got a craving for sushi and decided to try it. It was empty considering it was a late Tuesday night but the moment we walked in the waitress was very bright and happy and sat us down. We told her we've never been here before ad she immediately told us the specials. We ended up just getting some sushi rolls and when my man told her he was vegan she had options for him as well as a soy wrap instead of the seaweed. We also were given a small side salad and miso soup, which never comes with our meal at other sushi places and was very good! Great first impression and I hope it continues to be as good as the first time!
(4)Corey W.
The fish was all great and the service was decent. They didn't serve alcohol which is strange for a sushi bar and the service was a little funky. Doesn't really compare to Southern California sushi.
(3)Sam B.
This is the best sushi in Macomb County. After 6 PM most of the rolls are 50% off! You can't beat that deal! It even has a few rolls with Chicken and Beef that are good for those who aren't big into fish. It's really clean, and the service is prompt. They're always polite. The rolls always come with a Miso Soup, and house salad with ginger dressing. I'm not a big fan of any miso soup that I've ever had but the ginger dressing is really good. It looks a little weird but it tastes great. I had the Dynamite Roll which was excellent. I also had the Mexican Roll which had some jalapeño which adds a really nice kick! My girlfriend got the Chicken Teriyaki roll as well as the Flying Chicken Roll. They were both very good, but the Flying Chicken roll was better. Overall, if you are in the area, I highly recommend this place.
(5)Brian E.
If you rad my other reviews you will see we like sushi but are not adventurous with what we order... California rolls are our favorite and we don't stray into fish or eel or exotic stuff. Naruto was right up our alley in that they had variations on California rolls in addition to a wide variety of other rolls with fish and eel and stuff we don't eat :). We were starving after skipping lunch so we ordered a lot of rolls and got even more than what we planned... Each roll was close to 8 pieces and all the rolls except the just crab were BIG! They were also delicious... The Boston was great... Wished we'd gotten more... The CA were awesome... All had fresh taste and texture. The place was nice and clean... It's (like all sushi places I know of except Little Tree) in a strip mall... The staff was nice and attentive... They have nice serving plates too. If you get enough with your order to come to $7 per person you get soup and salad with the order... The soup was GREAT and the salad good. The prices are typical for the rolls we got... If you factor in the size of the rolls then it's probably better than average deal wise. They exotic rolls went up in price to the high teens... But what we got was all 6.50$ or less per roll. If we are in this area again we'll definitely be back
(5)Melody X.
Great cozy quiet atmoaphere. Sushis are stuffed with not too much rice around. Employees are very nice. Waitress Jiyong is very sweet! Will be definitely coming back :)
(5)Nick B.
As far as price goes, you can't beat Naruto. Not only is the price good but the quality is great too. Naruto always has a list of sushi for half off, try the tiger roll. Lunch menu is unbeatable. The bento box is around $8 and comes with more food then one person can eat, plus you get miso and salad. The bim bim bap is incredible, usually I have a hard time deciding if I'm going to get that or sushi.
(5)Kate R.
Naruto is a diamond in the rough! My dad has been talking about this place since he noticed on his drive home and we finally had an opportunity to try it. Not that this is indicative of quality - but the fact that most of the specialty rolls were half off made something great even better! Because I'm weird - their tables are AWESOME. They're made of tree trunks and large "slabs" of finished wood... I don't know, I don't know that I've ever seen anything that visually creative. The place, though small, is bright and welcoming. Their sushi roll menu is pretty extensive, but I was kind of impressed when they provided a tri-fold pictorial menu of some of their specialty rolls. The also have a full menu, but I didn't make it much past their awesome sushi menu. Miso soup and ginger-dressed salad were both delicious, but far more delicious was our large dish of deliciousness delivered on a sushi ship. We had the Dynamite, Mango tango, Crispy, and Naruto crunchy - all wonderful. I was most surprised by the Mango tango roll!! Honestly, it's nice to have a great sushi place close by... I usually have to head to Clinton Twp, Royal Oak, Troy or Ferndale for good sushi, it's nice to know I can get the same quality a mile from home.
(5)Ashley B.
I have dined in and ordered carry out. Sushi is always fresh and delicious. Very clean; I can bring my son in, who is allergic to fish and shellfish. Love their monthly specials. One of my favorite places to go.
(5)Daniel C.
Dont know what ronda is talking about. The food and service is very good. Not the best. Not noble fish quality fish but very excellent rolls. Family owned. Very nice establishment. Very clean. Usually not very busy the couple times Ive been. Tables Chairs and Staff are all nice. I've been twice now and would go if I was in the area again.
(4)Violet S.
I'm a huge sushi fan and have eaten at places like Kyotos, Sakana, Little Tree, Ichiban, Ronin, Shogun etc. This place is just alright. It's not the best. I was tight on time and that was the only sushi place in the vicinity so we tried it. It's tiny and more like a dive. Nothing fancy inside. I'm also pretty sure that their sushi made me sick. I've eaten all types of seafood - oysters, calamari, caviar, eel, mussels, etc and have never gotten sick from any other seafood/sushi restaurant. Not sure but just sayin'. Oh, and they don't serve alcohol. How can you not have sushi w/ a nice glass of wine?!
(1)Scott M.
This is a really nice place for sushi. After our favorite place closed. My wife and I found this gem. The service is really good. We had several rolls and they all tasted good and fresh. The rolls are a good size and sometimes the pieces are more than a mouthful. They have a wide selection of rolls and nigiri style sushi which is all reasonable priced. I enjoyed the eel, which you get two pieces per order. My wife really loves the fried avocado, we get it as an appetizer. They have a half rolls which is nice. We will be back for sure to sample of their other rolls.
(4)Chris L.
Good food, nice and unique atmosphere and really nice people!
(5)James M.
Very freindly people but they do not know about sushi. I had a salmon sushi, albacore sushi, and what I thought was going to be a salmon roll which is a california roll with good fresh salmon on top I was sorely mistaken. Miso soup - ok but not at all worth having again. Salad - well it was salad with dressing Salmon Sushi - not bad but more rice than anything else. was not fresh or sushi grade. it was store bought salmon. Albacore sushi - it was not a juicy piece of fish it seamed like it was left out to dehydrate one piece had pepper all over it, it looked like in was rolled along a dirty barbaque. I could not eat that piece. the one I did had just a little pepper and it was horrible it ruined any good taste I may have had. They need to get some lesson on how to make sushi. I don't know how they got so many great reviews very misleading. althought there were people there that looked like they liked the sushi maybe because that is the only flavor they know. I have had better sushi at an all you can eat resturant. If your from out of state (CA) then don't waist your time or money here. Go to Taco bell at least it will taste good and is a good value.
(1)Cat C.
There is a reason why the food is cheap here...not the best sushi in Detroit, service was good, green tea is black lipton tea, the owner lied to me about it, wont be coming back!
(1)Tom W.
Went here for dinner the other night. I have to say I was disappointed. More so in my fellow yelpers for over rating this place. The complimentary salad and soup were free so you get what you pay for. Salad was nothing more than lettuce and dressing. Soup was 2-3 tiny bits of tofu with no wakame or green onions. Basically dashi and miso paste. We ordered some of the half off sushi rolls and again, you get what you pay for... some fake crab with rice and sweet sauce on top. We also ordered the $17.50 special roll which was nothing special. Good thing it was half off otherwise it would have been a huge waste. Now the other rolls we ordered that were not half off were nothing special either. Very little fish and smaller than what you normally get at other places. Most everything had a super sweet sauce on top which I can see why other people love it so much. It tasted more like dessert than eating dinner. If you're diabetic be careful of what you order. If this place was located in Novi it would not last very long. If you are a serious sushi eater pass this by. If you just want a casual grub get some rolls and an entre. It's not bad but there are better choices on the west side.
(2)Kathren C.
This is by far one of the best sushi places in the area. The decor was beautiful and the waitstaff was very polite. The amount of food given was way more than enough. The salad and soup before our entrees were pleasantly delightful. Good enough for the taste buds for anyone wanting to try sushi for the first time. We ordered a few different dishes and fell in love with each and every single one of them. We even ordered more sushi because it was that good. If your in the area please go and try this unique sushi spot. It will not disappoint. Oh yeah we ordered the mango custard ice cream it was oh so good.
(5)Erin H.
Love this place! Half off specials all the time and free miso and salad with dinner. Nice presentation also. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Teresa ..
Over the past few times I've been here I feel like service has gotten worse. I don't know if it's maybe because the owners aren't around anymore to watch the workers. We dined in and had a Spanish/Mexican waitress, and she wasn't very attentive. Also, since the restaurant's a small place, I heard customers from another table tell her she miscalculated their bill, so when she gave us our bill, I double checked and realized she had also miscalculated ours and failed to give us the 50% off and charged us for a different roll instead. Recently I ordered takeout and ordered the spicy tuna bowl. There was a mistake and she heard me say spicy tuna roll instead and I had to return and wait for them to get me the correct order. She seemed really confused and did not know what to do until the other waitress came by to assist me. The spicy tuna bowl came with a lot of tuna, but the sauce was not spicy at all. It seemed to be more similar to a soy-sauce base. If they used spicy mayo instead I think it would have been a lot better.
(3)Jennifer M.
I went here for the first time today, and it was an amazing experience. For $8.50 I got a very large lunch bento box that was just delicious. My sister and I shared the Naruto special that's 28 pieces of sushi for $12.50, a total steal. If you ever go there which I strongly recommend, get the Dynamite Roll it's complete genius.
(5)Katie C.
Went here last night for dinner and it was AMAZING. I was apprehensive to try such a new place after the food poisoning I suffered from at the (now shut down) Hero Sushi on Old 13 Mile, but I finally took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised. Prices are pretty standard for a sushi place (think Shogun, Osaka, Ichiban, etc.), but their menu is hugely extensive. We're talking around 50 kinds of rolls! Free miso soup and salad with ginger dressing (which was twice the size of the salads at most other places) started out the meal. When our platter of sushi got to the table, it was garnished with a cucumber candle and the sushi didn't disappoint. The eel and cucumber is always my favorite, but the shrimp tempura was done with panko which was a nice surprise. My least favorite was the spicy tuna which was good, but the tuna pieces were a little smaller than I prefer so the texture left a bit to be desired. Other than that, awesome place! Can't wait to go back.

Every time I eat here I'm amazed at the outstanding food, service, and prices. You can't go wrong eating here!!
(5)Ss M.
Love the sushi here! We come here when we want sushi and I love how they always have some sort of deals going on whenever we want sushi! A definite yes for places to go for sushi!
(4)Alvarezzza A.
One of my favorite Sushi spots besides Kyoto in Royal Oak. It's great for lunch and has amazing prices and specials. The service is always great, service is prompt, and the place is always clean. I enjoy it much better than the crammed Noble Fish in Clawson and I feel like the sushi is just as good if NOT better here. If you get a chance it's worth trying!
(5)Robert N.
Excellent sushi , friendly competent service. Very good value for your money. I will definitely be back
(5)Brian Z.
One of my fav sushi joints!
(5)Steve A.
Absolutely the best sushi place around. The attention to detail and care I see as the chefs work their craft... wonderful. I found this place by chance and can't stop going. Friendly, clean and bright makes for a very comforting lunch. Everything about this place shows that they care about what they do. I have visited many sushi restaurants' around from Detroit to Ann Arbor and you will not find better quality for the more than reasonable prices.

Good Sushi for a great price. Their lunch specials are incredible. Enough food to give you leftovers and the bill is under $10 usually. Highly recommend this place.

Love this sushi place and especially 50% off specialty rolls after 6. Free miso and salad with dinner is great, this is the only place my 2 year old will eat lettuce; edamame is always tasty. And the rolls are so good, i haven't tried a bad one yet. Catepillar is my favorite, chicken sushi for kids is delicious as well. They gave us a boat last time too, such a great experience. Staff is very attentive as well.

Fairly new restaurant. Prices seem good and the food is pretty good as well. No complaints and visit for lunch pretty often.

Just got take-out from this place for the first time and OH MY GOD was it delicious! I personally had the Amazing Salmon roll and the Naruto Crunchy roll and I will definitely be getting these again. Perfect mixture of rice, vegetable, and fish. Our order had (2) 50% off items on it, not sure why but I didn't argue, and they even charged me for a cheaper item than the Philadelphia Roll my wife got (she didn't want the salmon). I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to friends. I'm very happy to have a good sushi place near our home again.

Came here because of all the rave reviews but found the california roll to just be ok. I also ordered the house salad and the dressing had absolutely no taste to it. Overall, will keep looking for a good sushi place, this is not the one.

I have ordered sushi rolls to go and I was not very impressed with how they presented the food in the take out box, the sushi's were slammed to each other when I got home, plus they gave me a very small amount of pickled ginger. I think this place is only good for dine -in, for they might present the food better than to go. I would still recommend MonJinLau and Benihana though it's pricey...

Some of the best sushi in Michigan. 5/5. I've eaten sushi in most of SE michigan and multiple states and Naruto is at the top.

I had the chirashi and a couple nigiri pieces. I love love love the price point and is probably even cheaper than Noble Fish the quality is good enough to get a sushi fix (although i am not talking bad or poor quality like you get at asian buffets), but if your looking for top quality then this isn't your place. Amaebi for $5!!!! Amazing!!!! When i lived in CA the price had gone all the way up to $8 for 2 pieces. The staff is quick and courteous. Since I came by myself I wasn't able to see more of what they have to offer. At the moment they are doing construction on the road so it may be dificult to get to this plaza.

3.8/5 Decided to round up! Little hidden gem in Sterling Heights. For the area, this is one of the best sushi joints. Friendly staff. Fast service. Good quality & quantity. I love the monthly specials. Check their website for their monthly specials. For May, they have 40% off the Tsunami roll, Salmon Fashion roll, and Naruto Sushi roll (Monday-Saturday). I personally enjoyed their Tsunami and Salmon Fashion roll. I was so full I could not even finish my rolls. I made my bf finish them. Will definitely be back!

If I could give no stars I would, so disappointed in the customer service at this place. First of all I used to be a HUGE fan but since they have grown in popularity the food quality has gone down and the service is even worse. I ordered a roll that in the description on the menu NEVER stated deep fried or with sauce and when I received it and opened my box at work I immediately called and the manager Maria debated with me what the role is supposed to have stating that it is not indicated that it is deep fried or with a sauce but it is deep fried with a sauce, interesting so apparently every roll on the sushi menu is wrongly described. The manager refused to admit that they blantantly gave me the wrong roll. Don't waste your time here avoid it at all costs!!!!!

I have been coming here for more than a year, I love the fact that this restaurant has monthly specials for 40% off select sushi rolls (this used to be 50% off). I have carried out here and also eaten in. On our most recent visit in August, the special rolls were TNT, Christmas, and Tsunami. We ordered one of each of these rolls, and a spicy chicken udon noodle stir fry dish (also on special for around $10.00). We arrived around 6:30 on a weekday and the restaurant was starting to fill up by the time we started eating. This is the first and only time I have been disappointed by what I ordered. Despite the key on their menu, the Christmas roll actually had raw fish in it (I think tuna). While DH eats anything, I do not eat raw fish, and I especially do not since I am pregnant. The indicator on the menu says that this roll is Spicy, but not raw. I could have mentioned this, but I felt bad and next time I will ask for more details when ordering. The Tsunami roll, which is normally one of my favorites was drenched in spicy sauce, whereas that is a squiggle atop the roll and I ended up having to wipe alot of it off. We had never tried the udon noodles before and while it was ok for $10, I would not have ordered this for the menu price of $13.50. The plate was a regular size, but there was only a single layer of noodles on the plate. So, why the 4 star review then? As I have said, we have been here many many many times before, so I am hoping that our latest visit was just a one-off experience that won't be repeated. The service here is always really friendly and the prices for the sushi are very reasonable considering the amount of food served.

Location itself is a small hard to find building tucked away in a little strip mall, however once you get inside is well kept and clean it has natural wood tables made of stumps and thick cut tree for the top.... the lights are covered by paper diffuser which is very interesting and comforting as it's not too harsh on the eyes there are security cameras everywhere location clean safe... The salad was very delicious and the dressing that was on it was to die for I would definitely try again however when I ordered sushi rolls with soy paper there seemed to be an issue because they were loosely rolled and fell apart and we're not filled up as much as They could be which made them fall apart faster. This is not to say that they don't know how to make sushi because my boyfriend had also gotten sushi rolls but his were on seaweed paper and they turned out fine and looked great I think it just may be an issue of the sushi chef not using soy paper a lot which is understandable but I was slightly disappointed. Most of the sushi pieces fell apart before they even made it to the soy sauce out of the two rolls I had one piece of one of the sushi rolls did not fall apart..... Other than that the service was great people were friendly everything went smoothly other than a little role snafu..

Yelp Yelp Yelp....I'll be back for sure.. Tasty rolls - TNT, Spicy Queen, and Caterpillar... Fast, friendly service. I was happy to see the place was pretty full when I went to pick up my carryout order. It's a hit!

Such a great little place!! Clean, very friendly staff. Super fresh sushi. Lots to chose from. My boyfriend and I went today for lunch for the first time. No specials today as its a Sunday, but we have plans to go back before the months end to get a Tsunami! We had a Naruto spring, Naruto crunchy, dynamite, kamikaze, and an avocado/cucumber. It was all seriously amazing. Our server was adorable, very friendly and helpful. They serve coke, always a plus for us. The place was starting to fill up as we left and it had just opened when we arrived. A great sign!! Can't wait to go back and so glad we tried a new place.

First time visiting this place and I give 4 stars. As someone who has had sushi multiple times around Ann Arbor, I'd say Naruto sushi is a good blend of quality ingredients with fairly decent prices! Specialty rolls can be a bit expensive ($15-17 if my memory serves correct). We got the tsunami roll, California/california crunch, and shrimp tempura. Take advantage of the monthly special to try something new but don't go too outside your comfort zone! Will definitely be back to try out more of the extensive sushi menu.

Last time I was back in town, my go-to sushi place (Crazy Sushi) was closed. So, we just googled sushi close by, and found Naruto. Daaaang, this place is awesome. They brought us our food unbelievably quickly. They apparently always have some kind of special where a few specific rolls are 40% off. Their menu is insane with options. I can't wait to move back next year because my new life goal is to try all of them. ~FAT KID LYFE~

Recently ordered the Spicy Dream and avOcado and Cucumber roll, this is what I have to say- The decor is delightful and reflects the owner's care in the restaurant. My favorite waitress, Maria, is who you should ask for, but all of the staff is wonderful. I've had most of the rolls and some of the bento boxes, and everything has always been delicious. There is always a list of specials(some up to 40% off) displayed and menus to choose the right meal for you. Another little thing I like is the soup and salad that comes with an order over $8, but to add a side of it is less than $2. Overall: delicious, cheap, great service, and beautiful decor.

We're new to Naruto Sushi, having moved to the area. We get takeout every few weeks (we've never eaten in), and it's a winner. The ginger dressing is much, much better than that place that starts with "beni", although having the lettuce floating in a container of water that finds its way into the container is not that great. The rolls are always very nicely put together and are very tasty, and we've had a few of the side dishes as well, and they're very good. The prices aren't cheap, but a tip is to check their website for the rolls that are on special that month, usually saving a pretty good amount. They also have a very good selection of raw and cooked rolls, as well as entrees, although we've never gotten any of those. Be careful in the parking lot -- it's very tight and there are a bunch of other restaurants there, so people are zooming in and out the whole time.
