I HATE CHUCK E CHEESE but the kids LOVE it. Too bad that I'm the one who gets to write the review. Pizza is WAAAAYYYYY over priced but since Ceasarland is now out of business I guess the higher prices kept them going. The service was pretty good. I don't have any complaints about the staff and they were all eager to help us with ordering choices, messed up machines, and clearing away our mess. One of the managers even came by to make sure everything was good and that we were enjoying ourselves. It is unbearably loud there but that is the nature of the place. I tried to book a party but they only allow birthday parties on the weekend and I wanted an organization party. Birthdays are double the price. The kids will have a blast but pack some tylenol for your headache.

I was horrific. It was so unbelievably FILTHY!!! I didn't even want to eat the food.. and that was gross. We had gift cards but my kids could have used the 50 for something much better than that place! I took pictures too. I will be contacting the health department too. It was horrendous.

My son absolutely loves Chuck E Cheese! This is his favorite place, my only issue is the people! Some of these people let their children run around unsupervised and ill mannered! I can't blame the staff for the condition of the establishment when it's the patrons who lack home training! It's also always crowded, but again, what child doesn't like this place?! I tend to go early Sunday's when it's slow so that my child can enjoy himself.

Angry parents and out of control children. Staff seemed willing and tried hard but unfortunately the demographic makes this impossible. I'll give a thumbs up to the attentive staff but the clientele,,,,yikes !! If your determined to go then make it during the week early in the day.

So when my cousin called to invite me to accompany her and her five year old (who woke up with the need to go where a kid can be a kid) to go to Chuck E. Cheese, I jumped at the chance. Ski ball, air hockey and cotton candy what a great combo. I did have my reservations however. I hadn't been there in a long time so it could have turned into a dirty, screaming kid filled establishment with broken machines and lazy staff. It was however quite the opposite. We did go during the week so that may explain why the screaming kid part of my prediction wasn't correct. They had many games that are appropriate for little kids and adults. I won my fare share of the 650 tickets (a kids equivalent to hitting the jackpot) that were used to "buy" a stuffed Abby doll. The staff was super nice and let her have it even though we were 50 tickets short. They also brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me and they got the animatronic band going while they were on a break. They place seemed very clean as well which I was pleasantly surprised to see. Overall it was a fun time. It's not quite the Showbiz that I remember as a kid and the new band doesn't even compare to The Rock-A-Fire Explosion but they do have beer.

Today of all places I found myself headed to Southgate, MI which is about 40 miles outside of my home zone. My Great Nephew turned 8 years old today and his parents were having a birthday bash at Chuck E. Cheese. Its not everyday that a Proud Uncle gets to be a Great Uncle and gets to celebrate a Great Nephew's B-day especially for a Great Nephew I have not seen in over 3yrs. Thankfully I had my TomTom all charged and a half tank of gas ready to waste to drive to Southgate. I have not purposely been to any Chuck E Cheese in literally over a dozen years. I do remember the premise however - dozens to hundreds of screaming kids climbing in and out of indoor playground crap with dozens of whizzing beeping blaring electronic gadgets and video games, copious amounts of thin cardboard greasy pizza, and annoying animatronic figures who sing and cavort. Funny when I was a teenager it did not seem so innocuous. Our group arrived about an hour late. But we were able to see the rest of the family and I was happy to take over 50 photos of my Great Nephew in all his CEC glory. He had already amassed a treasure trove of tickets to turn in for about $5 worth of plastic garbage. But To be a Kid again! The cake was not from CEC. One of the Aunties made it... However the pizza... well if you can even call it pizza... it was half cheese and half pepperoni & cheese. Sauce was mostly and essence it seemed. the pizza was thick and chewy. Not quite the cardboard I recall from childhood but it was still nasty as I remember. I believe the pizza we had must of had extra grease on it. I used 18 napkins to soak up the oil from the 1 slice I attempted to eat. Even after soaking up the oil, the slice still was greasy. All I could taste was Salt. I did not even finish the slice. I folded it up in one of the unused napkins and left it under a plate where it became the starter pile for all the trash and garbage for our table. At least it could serve a purpose. The beverage choices for adults was either Coca-Cola or Water. I have sworn off Pop since Jan 31st so I stuck with Water. I do not know where they got their water from but I believe it smelled like it had been filtered through the Toilet from the Mens room. I did not even bother attempting to take a sip, I couldn't even force myself to take a sip. The abysmal rating is for the disgusting attempt at food and beverages they offered. It's also for the disgusting People who I saw in the bathroom let their kids roll around on the floor and climb under Stalls. I was so happy I had gone to the bathroom before I came. I can only imagine the staph & e.coli germs that passed from the kids from the bathroom to the inside playground & arcade games. When I was able to make it back to the car I must of used over 1/2 a tube of hand sanitizer. Even that was not enough. The B-day bash for my Great Nephew was fun at least. It was good to see him and the other side of the family who almost never seem to have time to visit.
