Everyone is so nice here. The bagels are the best in the area. It's a great place to get large orders for bagels as well, I plan on coming here to get bagels for my office.

Ok since I've moved over on the other side of town, I've realized the best bagels are in Southfield. The Original Bagel Factory does homemade bagels. From 31 different types to choose from you can't go wrong. With me it's all about the chew, immediately you know the bagel your eating is fresh and homemade from the texture hard exterior to the soft interior. My experience over the last 6 years, has always been 10 out of 10. The service is to day for, they do it right.

Parking lot for the coffee place w/ the mermaid was overrun... and from the looks of the line, kinda slow... so I popped in here! Great coffee, very quick, plus got a rockin' Bagel! 5 STARS

Great bagels. So far the fragel and the cranberries have been hits with me. The bagels are hot and fresh. The coffee is also very good. The prices are great! I will be back.

Love love love this bagel place. I have been going here for over 20 years, since I was a kid. The bagels are so yummy and the different varieties of creme cheese are delicious. Honey Walnut is my favorite, so if you haven't tried it make sure you do..you won't be disappointed. The owner is very nice and stands by his product. I have stopped in many a times around the end of the day and if the bagel isn't fresh from that morning, as sometimes that happens, they will tell you right away. The coffee is also delicious and hot too :)

Bagels were great! Service was terrible. I came in from out of town, Short answers to everything I asked, felt like I was rushed out of the store. Other than that the honey walnut cream cheese is great.

I had a coupon for buy six bagels, get six free so I thought I'd stop by, and I will definitely be back! They ended up giving me seven for free to make it a baker's dozen, and the bagels were delicious! I tried three different kinds of cream cheese too, and all of them were fantastic.

Wonderful tasting bagels. The owner is so nice and so is the staff. I have been coming here since I was 12 and it's fabulous. My favorite is the cheese bagel with honey walnut cream cheese =)

I first encountered the Bagel Factory as a student at U-M many years ago. Yes, everyone went ga-ga over the fragle (cinnamon-coated, deep fried) bagels but I liked the traditional ones. Happily, I now work near the Southfield location of this small chain. Can you say bagel upgrade? They still make them well (fragles and all). Even the multi-grain bagel, un-chewable hell in the hands of lesser purveyors, has just the right amount of substance. I'm in carb heaven again.

I work near the Bagel Factory and visit about twice a week because the bagels are so good! The cream cheese is also delicious and I believe it is homemade. I have been addicted to this place since my first visit and find myself craving bagels everyday. I usually order the asiago cheese or the everything bagel with light cream cheese. The staff is always friendly to me, even when I wasn't a regular, so I am very surprised to see the other comments about rude staff.

Best bagel in Metro Detroit and since they share a wall with the best deli, you really end up in a win-win! Big fan of their onion bagels especially - soft, chewy and absolutely delicious! As a guy who just came home from the Big Apple, let me tell you, their bagels stand up against the best Manhattan has to offer!

Simply great bagels, the proper crispness when toasted but plenty good just out of the bag. Lots of variety. I like salt, sesame and chocolate chip myself. Good cream cheese with lots of variety. I always have to bring my dad some cream cheese with scallions and cheese bagels. Good and fast service. Tasty, tasty stuff. One star deduction for the hike from Belleville and the parking lot nightmare.

Why am I giving this Bagel Factory 5 stars and the one in Troy only 4 stars? They sell Marty's Cookies!!!! Anyone who frequented Downtown Birmingham in the 80's would remember Marty's on Maple. They made huge chocolate chip cookies loaded with lots of chips. I love them and I made a special trip just to savor them again. After Marty died several years ago the place closed and a former employee bought the name and recipe. I believe this is the only place to get them. Hmmm, I may have to make a little diversion on my way back to DC...

I have loved this bagel shop dearly for 10 years now. You don't get the bagels toasted, only hot, and I have never loved the service, but the bagels are tremendous and the light veggie cream cheese is definitely worth the trip. Thanks Bagel Factory, for the years and years of memories.

This is only getting a review because of Marty's. Whenever I am in town, I have to get back here to get my Marty's fix. I miss the smells in the old Birmingham Marty's Bakery and I'm glad the Bagel Factory snatched them up! Best chocolate chip cookies in the land.

They have nothing other than hot, fresh, soft bagels, and there's a reason... they're great at them.

Great bagels. I used to stop here on the way back from Pebble Creek Park in the summers to get breakfast. Really, really good bagels. Yum. Plus there was a Starbucks next door, so I could get my caffeine fix, too:) Oh man, those bagels were always so hot and fresh. Insert Homer noises here.
